Kenwood cooking chef mixer review: Don't buy it – ⭐️ (1/5) I bought the Kenwood Cooking Chef Mixer because I trust the Kenwood brand, and since this was their most expensive model, I thought it would be the best. I was wrong. From the start, the machine kept showing the E22 error, asking me to turn it off and on again. This happened repeatedly, wasting my time and ruining my food. I contacted… Read more
customer service, and they told me to take it to the service center. After four weeks, they replaced parts, but the problem continued.
I requested a refund, but they refused, asking me to bring it back for another inspection. I even tested it in front of them with food, and they saw the error happen multiple times. I also emailed the company, attaching videos as proof of the malfunction, but despite this, their customer service completely ignored my emails and failed to respond.
Customer service not only refused to acknowledge the problem but also insisted the machine was in "perfect condition" and advised me to take it home. This is unacceptable.
Avoid this product! It’s a waste of money, and the customer service is terrible.
Having purchased and reviewed over a dozen De'Longhi products, I was confident in buying this machine when I learned that Kenwood was a De'Longhi brand. The machine started to make a loud sound, and an overpowering smell started to come out of it. The machine is less than 2 years old. The first service centre the De'Longhi group sent me to said… Read more
they don't service Kenwood Mixers. So then I had to contact De'Longhi again and wait until they found someone that could service my machine. They sent to a company called Queensland Coffee Machines. They picked up the machine on 14 May and it was confirmed delivered on 16 May (from Gold Coast to Brisbane). On 27 May I call up the service centre and they advise that they had not looked at the machine, in fact they had no idea it was with them.
So, I sent an email to Delonghi support asking them to find out why Queensland Coffee is taking so long to look at the machine. Today, a week later, I get a call from [Name Removed] from Delonghi and I am told that told they looked at the machine today (18 days after it was delivered to QLD Coffee Machines. They assessed that it needed to be fixed and they will order the parts. Not that they ordered them but WILL do it. The parts take up to 7 days to get to them.
Now here is the hard part, nowhere on the De'Longhi website does it state 4 - 6 weeks for repairs. No where on the service centre for QLD coffee does it say 4 - 6 weeks (in fact they state they get things done with 12 days), none of the documents I have been provided with say 4 - 6 weeks, but [Name Removed] from De'Longhi tells everyone who books a service that 4 - 6 weeks is the time it takes. Unfortunately, when you book though De'Longhi website, they don't give you this information, and not everyone can talk to [Name Removed] direct. So you go through a warranty process expecting it to take time, of course sometime reasonable, but not 4 - 6 weeks. That doesn't even include shipping time either!
If you want a good machine, then I cant fault this Kenwood. But if you are like us and have purchased all the attachments for this machine (which in total cost more than the machine itself and are useless without the Mixer) and use it for everything, like from making fresh pasta, to cooking soup, making popcorn, smoothies, mincing meat, fresh squeezed orange juice, salads and every kind of desert. Then you will be addicted to this machine. The only thing it doen't do is make coffee, but we use an attachment to grind the beans! But if anything ever goes wrong with it, you either have to already have all these other machines we replaed with this one in storage, or go without it for 2 months. Seriously, they dont even send you out a loan machine to use in the meantime, just wait 2 months for the repair.
It seemed to good to be true. A machine that does everything. Only problem is if it stops working, then you cant do anything in the kitchen. I would rather have 20 different machines that at least if one breaks down I am not out of luck for 4 - 6 weeks!!!
Wow, what a game changer! – I absolutely love this machine. As a cake maker and decorator I have used a number of machines over the years, including light industrial machines specifically designed for cake makers. Nothing compares to the Kenwood. It can do everything I need. From mixing cakes from scratch through to melting chocolate for ganache, and whipping up the perfect… Read more
buttercream. It handles light loads with small amounts and heavy loads with greater numbers of ingredients equally well. The attachments supplied handle a variety of tasks from heavy mixing through to light whipping with ease. Even if it didn't measure and heat it would be a gem, but it does! Not only is the machine outstanding, but the local rep, Cheryl, was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was always available and willing to help. I am happy to highly recommend this machine.
Unbellievably accurate and so versatile – I have the upgraded cooking chef with a touch screen this is so much easier to use than the old one. Im so glad i upgraded. The screen also has weighing scales so I can weigh what goes into the bowl or even when I'm making something in my food processor attachement like crushing biscuits for my favourite cheesecake base recipe. i put my glass bowl… Read more · 1
on the mixer to weigh the butter too while i was using the big bowl to measure the dry ingredients. Its a little bit of getting used to at first because you touch the screen then turn the dial and then press the dial to make the machine go but ive cooked a beautiful custard in the bowl and it was so nice not having to stir it like usual in a saucepan on the cooktop. The custard was smooth and the temperature stayed accurate so i didnt burn the custard either. theres a beater that scrapes the sides i used this one to keep the custard from burning on the bowl. It was so easy to make. Ive also love using the stainless beater for mixing cakes and the mix just washes off so easily afterwards. Ive mixed hamburer mince in the bowl too and it didnt crush the onions just mixed all my spices into the meat beautifully. The foccacia i made cam eout perfect and i made the dough in the bowl. The hook kneads the dough really well i felt so lazy watching the machine do it all. The focaccia turned out super fluffy and was nice and evenly cooked. I love putting olives, bacon, cherry tomatoes and rosemary oil and salt on top of my foccaccia. The smoothie attachment o got is a daily use for my protein smoothie i just pop in on top of the machine and the powerful motor smashes my avocado and protein smoothie into a cremay delicious yummy smoothy. Ive made a sponge cake as well the minimum speed setting is nice and slow and i was able to fold the flour into the wet ingredients to perfection. The sponge turned out so light and fluffy. i used coconut cream mixed with vanilla and icing sugar for the centre and the whisk actually aerated the coconut cream really well. Of course i put the coconut cream in to the fridge first and just used the meaty bit it tasted delicious with the strawberries i actually sliced them super fast on teh food processor. So yum. I thoroughly enjoy using this machine most days as i love making all my own treats so much better than buying stuff. The machine stays out on the bench i just need a cover now when i go on holidays as I dont like having to move the machine to much. It is on the heavier side for lifting but its still easy. I just don't move it that much. The presets seem cool on the screen but i havent used those much except for the italian meringue when you whip up the eggs and it cooks them withthe sugar to make the creamy meringue. That setting actually worked really good as i had no idea what temp to put the machine on. All in all best stand mixer ive had and i hope it lasts as long as my original kenwood chef.
