week ago saying they will get back to me on the same day “hopefully with a response”. Have never heard back from CouriersPlease nor Kiddie Country. I ended up going to the local Newsagency and literally accidentally found out that my parcel was sitting there. Absolutely terrible experience. I will never ever again buy anything from this store simply because they partner with CouriersPlease and can’t be bothered to respond to their customers. Ohh and of course I paid $10 for delivery… ridiculous!!!!

Disappointing – My cot arrived damaged. Kiddie Country did not take any responsibility. Nor did the supplier. Very disappointing given it was an expensive cot >$1000.

Fantastic advice on car seats – Thanks to the team for their great advice on the britax car seat we bought from there. Good price and ample stock. Only downside was we had to wait a little while to get served because they were soooo busy. Obviously other shoppers knew it was the place to be on a Saturday morning! Best range of products & Great Customer Service! – We purchased a Joolz pram! kiddie country showed us how to use it, explained care instructions ect. We loved our shopping experience so much we went back a few months later to purchase a Baby zen yo-yo travel pram! Love love love there range of products! They have sold us a defected product, second hand looking, without saying anything – The worst. We went to this store yesterday and we bought a feeding chair from floor stock for $439 (Brand new was 499), only $60 less than a new one. wouldn't sell something defected and that wasn't OK without telling us. Well, the expensive chair arrived and its had all cuts and holes on the seats, on the arms rest, around the whole basin and the zip was broken. Also the seat was like grey colour, wear off. Definitely looking like a second hand product not a floor stock. And they charge us nearly the same price like for a new one!! Normally when you go to a store, the prices are at least half prices if the stock is defected and they of course tell you what's wrong with it! And people then decide if they want to buy it or not! Well they didn't. They gave us a second hand looking damage chair for nearly same price as new one. They must have seen it when trying to clean it but no one came back saying, 'hey guys its defected, it has cuts and the zip its broken'. NOTHING. I have called them immediately and have sent all videos. The day after they said that its our fault that we haven't inspect it well or that, even better, they said that we agreed to buy this chair and that we've seen it before buying. YES, but we couldn't see it well because of how dirty it was. AND they shouldn't be selling something like that, a defected product without telling people. HOWEVER, I have offered to loose my delivery fee to our place and asked to come to pick it up. They said that we need also to pay to delivery to them. That they were not paying for anything, just refunding the chair and that I had to pay for everything. I thought common sense would be to split the extra costs of the 2 delivery considering that they have sold us a defected product without saying nothing. If I wanted a second hand chair I could have bought it on internet for $120-140. Not for $439! We have trusted them and we lost money buying from this store.

very slow item delivery time – Ordered an item early January - received mid feb. slow to answer emails requesting follow up of delayed item. They were nice and apologetic but it’s ridiculous to wait 6+ weeks for an item that was supposedly in stock when order was placed

Ordered online and they sold the item, no offer to replace – Ordered a bassinet online, they rang and said they had sold it ‘5 minutes ago’ even though it had been purchased a while before this... no offer to match price and replace, after asking what they could do for us store assistant offered item at the non-reduced price. Terrible customer service, will never shop here again.

Best customer service! – We visited Kiddie Country to try out some prams and ended up buying the Joolz Day 2 as well as a Leander cot! The service was impeccable- not only did the staff member stay with us for our whole experience at the store (around 2 hours) but he also thoroughly explained everything about prams to us! We highly recommend visiting Kiddie Country for all of the investment baby pieces - they truly only stock the best brands!  Show reply

Excellent service and great range of products – Best baby store in Melbourne! The staff are fantastic - extremely helpful and don’t push a sale. Kiddie Country also has a great range of products but not too big like many other stores which can make shopping overwhelming! For a small family run store they also offer very competitive pricing. Very competitive prices and helpful staff! – When we purchased our Stokke pram we compared prices from the big baby stores and also online websites and we ended up buying it from Kiddie Country because it was the cheapest! I also needed a light/travel pram in a hurry as I was flying to Bali the next morning - the helpful staff member explained the different types and then once I decided on the Babyzen Yoyo, taught me how to use it. Great place to purchase prams! – I found kiddie country to have a great selection of prams in Melbourne. We've purchased our uppababy alta and more recently yoyo from them. They allow you to test out the prams outside to really get a feel which is great when selecting a pram. I found they also had the most competitive pricing.  Show reply

Better off with Ikea – My 70 year old mother purchased a Troll sun dresser from Kiddie Country for her first grand child. They neglected to tell her that it came in parts and she would require a carpenter to actually assemble it at an additional cost! It is extremely disappointing that staff couldn't be honest and explain A) that it doesn't come assembled B) that it requires a carpenter to assemble it or someone with sound knowledge of flat packs and additional tools to build C) that delivery wouldn't be required as all pieces would fit into any type of car, she would just need someone to assist carrying it to the car. My mother ended up paying around $850 for the dresser with change option, $80 for the delivery and $180 for someone to assemble it. She would have received better customer service at ikea and paid 1/4 of the price.

Rude owner – The South African man who owns this store is rude, pushy and will tell you anything for a sale. about a double pram as I am pregnant with my second bub. I had my toddler son with me who was well behaved but 'busy' as toddlers are. Upon leaving my little boy ran to a soft toy giraffe in the window. I had my hands full with my new pram tire, my bag and numerous other items I purchased. In order to grab him I put the things I was holding down on an armchair. The man immediately came over and so bluntly and rudely said 'you cannot put your things there'......... clearly I was trying to do the right thing and grab my little boy which is sometimes difficult especially when he could see I was pregnant again and had my hands full. I know this doesn't sound like a big deal but I became upset at his aggressive tone and surely after many years in customer service he could have been a little more polite (especially to a good customer). In all my other dealings over the years I have found him arrogant but 'helpful' once he thinks he has convinced you to buy the most expensive product.

Anyway....... I think I'll go elsewhere for my double pram!

the models on the street / try packing them into our car to see how they fit. We were very happy with them, found them not pushy but very informative. With some products, they do seem to have a more limited range than other stores, and focus on 'premium' brands. However, in my experience they certainly do not try and push you into the most expensive brands and they recommended a number of more 'generic' and cheaper options for accessories (eg, for the pram).

mind changed after being guided as to what was right for us - and especially me- ergonomically. I did not feel as though more expensive items were pushed on to me - in fact, it was quite the contrary.

I appreciate that others who want to purchase something quickly may find the level of consultation frustrating but as a first time Mum with very little knowledge, I found the patient assistance and guidance provided a very welcome relief after previous experiences in bigger chain stores where the primary response to any questions I had was "It's about what you like" with no further guidance!

We have ordered a pram to arrive in 2 months so hopefully we don't experience the delays expressed by previous reviewers as up to now, our experience with Kiddie Country has been perfect.
