Trading Insolvent – Kitchen Trends knew they were in financial difficulty and kept trading regardless. They are dodgy. They have delivered part of our order (wardrobes) and they are rubbish. Mismeasured, wonky drawers and rollers. Avoid this business. [name removed] had the nerve to come to our house and told me I shouldn’t be upset and gave me a sob story about employees working for no pay to complete orders. Really? Where’s my study cabinetry? Loosers.

Have taken our money – Have taken our money and no kitchen. Told us it was happening and it hasn't! Been in contact with the manager who lied and lied to us. Very disappointing and I feel for the others in the same boat as us. Our renovations has now been extended and we also have 2 small children. All in all a NIGHTMARE!

Unacceptable, emotionally and financially heartbroken – My husband and I decided to renovate our kitchen before our second bub comes in dec. blah blah, then 2 weeks have past and still no response and the director avoiding phone calls now. It has already cost us a fortune to pay for the new kitchen, but then now we have spent a considerable amount more to buy takeaways and fresh water for drinking. But not only that, I am due in a few weeks and have a toddler and my house is a disaster zone! The only way to get it finished now is to pay a lawyer to terminate our contract so we can then claim the insurance or wait until they officially go into liquidation! It’s been a month now with no kitchen and instead of enjoying my last trimester of pregnancy I have not been able to sleep, eat properly or enjoy the time with my toddler as I am constantly having to make sure she doesn’t hurt herself in our “death house” at the moment. I hope this company knows what stress and turmoil they have done to not only our young family but to others as well.

Kitchen Trends' site management, coordination and communication – I note that some recent reviews of Kitchen Trends' delivered kitchens are good. Guess this is a draw of luck. after a month, we could only wash our cloths this week with the pipe connected temporarily. The two cabinets to the niches were installed half way and stop because the measurements are incorrect. I would expect that they are tailor-made, but instead they came in as ready made cabinets. We have been waiting patiently.

My critical criticism is that I have to call or text the site supervisor seeking update of what is scheduled and when. This is because I have to reschedule to go to work or delay my work in order to accommodate installer who is scheduled to come as advised by the site supervisor, but did not happen. With the pressing work deadlines to meet, I could not sit at home waiting every day and days turns to another week (still counting) without any progress. :(

For me this is a 10 Star review – I couldn't be more pleased with the finish of my new 'Trends Kitchen'....from the initial website inquiry, their designer, [Name Removed] from the Burleigh office set up an appt & I immediately knew I was not going to go anywhere else for a quote. Once the design was drawn up & signed off on.....it was all go!

Their communication updates and scheduling process was impeccable.

Their coordination of Trades was spot on, to the point where I have since used them for personal projects.

Having [Name Removed] as a project Manager that was so open to me asking questions & queries gave me confidence that I was going to be over the moon with the end result.

I would not hesitate to recommend Trends Kitchens for their professionalism, eye for detail, high standard of Trades, product finish, and just generally lovely people who take pride in their work.

the professionalism of the Design Consultant, her knowledge in all aspects of kitchen design plus the extra mile she went to assisting in finding a floor covering solution. The detailed quote offered me full information of the expectations of Trend to deliver and install a great product complete with Building Insurances / time frames.

One fact I was totally impressed with was the sub-contractors Trend have working for the organisation. The care they each took in ensuring they respected not only the kitchen area but the balance of my home. In particular, the cabinet installer, the Plumber, the benchtop installers, the glass splashback installers, the list goes on.

There were a couple of 'bumps' along the way. The true calibre of a professional business is how they deal with these 'bumps', how they solve them. I'm pleased to say each were deal with and fixed with no fuss whatsoever. I can not fault the whole process of achieving my goal of owning a new kitchen. I am so pleased I chose to work with Trend and intend to use them again for the installation of my bathroom. Each step of the process was achieved on time, each sub-contractor arrived on the day/time stated

Yes, gone bust .... with our $$ – The Director, [name removed] has been avoiding communicating and giving delaying tactics for past 5 weeks leaving us with a half finished kitchen. Doors have closed at Newmarket show room. All phones diverted. Emails not being answered. Here's the worst part. They failed to take our QBAA home warranty insurance for our job, so we can't even claim insurance on it.

Gone Bust! – Been trying to call to find out where our kitchen is and no answer. Ended up calling the shop next door and they said they closed doors Friday! So there goes kitchen and money.

Exceptional Work Very Happy With The Result! – Working with [name removed] and the team at Kitchen Trends was an absolute delight, from start to finish their friendly and professional attitudes made the whole experience of renovating our kitchen a mush less stressful en-devour then anticipated. Here are ten questions to ask before choosing your kitchen renovation

company that will help you sort out who’s right for you.

Q1. Can they deliver on time?

Site completion took 6 weeks against a works timeline of 3-4 weeks.

Practical completion and completion of outstanding items took

somewhat longer.

Q2. Do they have a project delivery system to meet your deadline?

The system is there, but it is debatable if it works.

Q3. Are their past clients happy with their service?

We have to agree with Laurine's comment below that the excitement of a

new and costly kitchen was lost due to mismanagement of the build.

Q4. Are they up to date with the latest trends?

Probably. We are happy with the final finished product.

Q5. Do they have before and after photos of their work?

I don't actually think I've seen any before pictures.

Q6. Are they properly registered and insured to cover you (if

something goes wrong)?

As far as we can see.

Q7. Are they members of industry bodies?

Yes, but what does that mean in the Queensland building industry? We

began to have doubts during the process when nothing was happening and

we couldn't contact staff at critical times.

Q8. Do they have a solid team of trades people around them to call upon?

No. We were unhappy with the quality of just about all trades

subcontracted by the company. The fact there was no competent project

manager handling the build exacerbated problems, delayed the project

and required unnecessary rework. There were written protocols for

trades to follow, which didn't happen, and no Trends employee

proactively reviewed actual work done against the trade estimator or

finished quality expectations.

Q9. How do they keep your project on budget?

By making you pre-pay before each stage of the build and having just a

minimal residual payment at completion.

Q10. How do they ensure quality work is done?

On our job I had to ensure the work was up to standard. Nobody at

Trends appeared to be concerned about progress and overall job

quality during the build.

Delighted to have our kitchen for Christmas – The team at Kitchen Trends worked tirelessly to get our new kitchen completed before Christmas and they have lived up to every expectation and more. The whole process went through like a dream and our kitchen looks fantastic and will be the talk of the family, thanks so much. Apparently the customer is always wrong – Overall good product however things were not completed to standard, appointments made with constant no shows from non existent site manager, little issues not rectified have lead to me being unhappy with my new kitchen not a good experience, have now been sent a quote to rectify my issues!!! Really!!

Kitchen for Investment Property – We hired Kitchen Trends to update the kitchen in our rental property. The timing was critical due to existing tenants moving out and new tenants moving in. install the new kitchen. We often joke that Kitchen Trends makes us money every day because our weekly rent has increased significantly. Now all I have to deal with is nagging from the wife wanting to update our kitchen. We will use Kitchen Trends again.

everyone that took part, from the designer, through to the technical people and then the installation, it was great experience for us and we love our new kitchen.

Disappounted – You have certainly taken the excitement out of getting a new kitchen. A costly investment in our home that we have worked hard to afford. You really need to do an over haul of your customer service and communication. Our kitchen is still incomplete with a few little issues to be looked.and noone keeps us in the loop or shows any concern.

Kitchen itself OK ( a few minor faults) but as stated once they've got your final payment don't expect much!!

Simply a poor outcome – The install was poor. The planned three weeks turned to three months without a kitchen. 3 attempts at the bench top with still a poor outcome, subcontractors seeking payments direct from us, numerous draw fronts and still not one draw or cupboard handle aligned. and build perhaps, but not install. While they did try, the fix was slow, piecemeal and poor, as it lost priority to new planned work. Sadly, they just quietly walked away. If you have tens of thousands to spend on a quality kitchen, keep looking.

Fancy showroom terrible install workmanship – Just worst experience ever has damaged our house. 2 years and still having issues. Poor control over contractors same issues as others on here sub contactors doing shoddy jobs with poor materials. Dont go near this company. Do your self a favour choose someonelse

happening next. All the tradesmen were clean and very nice, it was great, the man that looked after everything for us [Name Removed], was great, please pass onto management how good they were. With everything that made up our new kitchen, the cabinets, stone tops, glass splashbacks, we had electrical works, plumbing works and they even did some tile fix ups for us and it all went so smoothly and all the trades worked well together, thank you again, we are so happy with our new kitchen.

What a nightmare this company! – It started so well early October 2014: two bathrooms and a kitchen, to be finished well before Christmas 2014. they don't understand. And even worse: nobody feels accountable! The only person who took a bit care of us, left the company. And all subcontracters complain. A very, very negative experience!!

After three months, at Christmas time while having guests over, we still had no shower we could use in the two bathrooms (luckily we have a 3rd one).

After 7 months (!) the bathrooms were still not ready. It was not about fixing up a few things, there was still serious work to be done!

We took the kitchen out of the contract, to be renovated by another company. Then we needed a sollicitor to get the first payment for the kitchen reimbursed!

As an ex project manager, I cannot understand the stupidity that was delivered and the fact that they dare to say that they deliver quality work.

We can only recommend to not work with this company. Feel free to contact us if you want more information.
