had this for quite a few years. Always worked perfectly. Good price at the time. My air frier just broke so I'll go back to using this more consistently for more than microwaving. You just need to be careful with what setting you're using especially wrt the cooking container material. Show details ·  1

Had this microwave for 18 months, did love it until the other day, when microwaving the inside of the door is full of condensation between the glass door, can't see inside, it takes about 1hr for it to go away Not happy Show details

Imploded on about the 4th or 5th use – Bought on the 26th April 2020. Used a few times then imploded while cooking chicken on recommended settings. Daughter and I were in the kitchen then heard a loud bang from microwave, food was covered in glass. Luckily it imploded and not exploded. And there was no auto shutdown.

For the Price this is a Great Unit – I got sick of having a number of big brand and relatively expensive microwaves that lasted only a year. So I bought a Kmart Microwave Convection Oven. It lasted three years and was a third of the price. I am now on my second one. It seems to be upgraded in terms of power but the timer (which I found handy has gone). I have had it twelve months so… Read more ·  1

time for a review.

So far we agree with all the positive reviews of this Combination Microwave on Product Review with of course the caveat that its price needs to be taken into account. It looks quite attractive in situ and as one reviewer said "it does what a Microwave does". The oven and grill components work as promised but we have yet to use the three all together as yet but apparently this is an option.

We are using the big oven less and thus saving on power bills. All up and so far we can recommend this microwave convection for the price. Because of its low cost if it only lasts two years we would call it a success! P.s. persevere with the convection and grill side of this oven as they actually work quite well... really it is an "air fryer" but so much more! But one limitation to the oven is that it's top temp is 200 degrees Celsius

You can set the clock! – My second oven (same model) has the instructions for setting the clock time, which my first oven didn’t. 1. Disconnect the power and reconnect. 2. Set the hour by turning the dial and confirm by pressing the start button. Repeat step 2. for the minute function. You need to set it in the first minute of reconnecting the power whilst the clock is flashing. I’m very happy overall with microwave and convection, but the grill performance is slow. Show details ·  1

For the CA$H it's value with a capital V! – Had this 2 weeks. Looked around & the previous 3 microwaves lasted a combined 11 years & 2 where $400 so when I come across this beast I figured what the hell lets do this. I have no issues with the clock. Don't care if I can see it or not. Clock in kitchen, dining, loungeroom, family room neck even 1 in the thunderbox. Added that I wear a watch… Read more

I could not give a tinkers toss about it.

Cooking....simple & so easy to use. Grill is great & love the fact it's far easier & cheaper then a oven. Cooks a meatloaf in a hour, split chooks the same. Just a simple easy machine to operate that what impresses me. No masters degree to work out how to set it to convection, just press convection..

For me value indeed & if I get 2 years I will be happy for the money. Added to the stylish clean modern lines it is a winner.

Trips the circuit breaker...Only had it for 12ish months – Only bought it 12ish months ago for my son who never ended up using it and gave it back to me. It sat unused at my place until my LG microwave broke down, so i decided to give this one a go last week. Used it twice. 1st time was fine...worked as expected. The second time though it tripped the circuit breaker and each time ive tested it out… Read more

its continued to trip the breaker. Im so very disappointed as this is basically brand new. What a terrible waste of money. I dont even have the reciept to take it back as i gifted this to my son when he moved out of home and he has no idea what he did with the instructions or receipt.

Tripped circuit easily, died at 18 months – Microwave worked fine, definitely took longer to heat food than my last one, but acceptable. If you opened the door without stopping it first, the circuit would trip every time. Then at 18 months (purchased June 21) it just died without warning. Won't turn on anymore. Have receipt, but only 12 month warranty, so just a waste of money. Show details

It is cheap – The microwave seems to be less than 900 watts, but I can live with that..the convection over is about 20 degrees cooler than what you set it at.... the preheat is not of much use as there seems to be a lack of insulation making the back get dangerously hot to touch, which means it does not hold a very even temperature. The grill element does not… Read more

Short circuits when damp inside – The microwave, grill and convection works well enough - no inverter technology but at this price, it's to be expected. However, I believe there is a design or build fault with the one I got. Everytime the microwave is steamy or damp inside (eg after cleaning or cooking), it short circuits and you have to wait for it to dry out before you can use… Read more

it again. The elements are exposed and wiping it down will dampen it. After a few instances, I returned it to Kmart for a refund. It's a pity because I have used the regular Anko microwave with no issues.

Convection and grill very poor – Disappointed in the microwave. It works ok on ‘microwave’, but the grill is extremely slow. We grill/microwaved bacon and after about 20 mins it started to brown. The time display also doesn’t work on ours - I think it must be faulty. Show details

Not as good as I had hoped – I bought the Anko convection oven 12 months ago. It's a pretty decent microwave for the price. It does the job but it does seem under-powered. It says it's 900 watts but to me it seems more like 700-800 watts. The control are comprehensive and work well. I've had no difficulty with those. The end-of-cooking chime is too loud and not adjustable.… Read more

Worse, it repeats after a minute or so if you don't open the door.

The convection function was a disappointment from the outset. I used it a handful of times in the beginning then gave it away. The element is too far from the food to achieve anything. The only way I could get a Welsh rarebit to brown or sausage rolls to crisp up was to put a Pyrex bowl on the turntable and put the food on a glass plate on top of that, so the food was within 100 mm of the element. Even then cooking was very slow.

A year after purchase it's going fine but I've become increasingly frustrated with cooking and reheating times. I'm replacing it with a 1,200 watt premium brand (and not a convection type).

Problem on the second day of use – Bought this microwave in store on 29 Dec 2021. Set it up and used it to heat some dinner on the same day. I haven't used the convection oven yet so I have no comments on its usefulness.

Great convection microwave for the price!!! – Cheap, but works great. The only problem is the turntable broke and I can’t get a response from Kmart. Worked well, thought it a bargain, but it failed - fairly quickly – Needed a microwave ASAP as our brand name convection microwave had failed after 8 year of work. Short Life – I am most dissapointed in this unit. Having purchased it in January, 2000, it has totally failed in 19 months, shorting out one electrical circuit in my house. I bought this unit because of the convection/grill features. I have found that other units perform better and quicker. However I have been compelled to replace with another of the same as my kitchen renovation in part was set up to the match physical specifications of this unit. Show details

Fantastic used every day – Really cannot complain. This microwave does a great job. Yes the digital clock is a bit dull however it doesn't affect the working of the unit.
