time for a review.

So far we agree with all the positive reviews of this Combination Microwave on Product Review with of course the caveat that its price needs to be taken into account. It looks quite attractive in situ and as one reviewer said "it does what a Microwave does". The oven and grill components work as promised but we have yet to use the three all together as yet but apparently this is an option.

We are using the big oven less and thus saving on power bills. All up and so far we can recommend this microwave convection for the price. Because of its low cost if it only lasts two years we would call it a success! P.s. persevere with the convection and grill side of this oven as they actually work quite well... really it is an "air fryer" but so much more! But one limitation to the oven is that it's top temp is 200 degrees Celsius

Trips the circuit breaker...Only had it for 12ish months – Only bought it 12ish months ago for my son who never ended up using it and gave it back to me. its continued to trip the breaker. Im so very disappointed as this is basically brand new. What a terrible waste of money. I dont even have the reciept to take it back as i gifted this to my son when he moved out of home and he has no idea what he did with the instructions or receipt.

Tripped circuit easily, died at 18 months – Microwave worked fine, definitely took longer to heat food than my last one, but acceptable. If you opened the door without stopping it first, the circuit would trip every time. Then at 18 months (purchased June 21) it just died without warning. Won't turn on anymore. Have receipt, but only 12 month warranty, so just a waste of money. Show details

Short circuits when damp inside – The microwave, grill and convection works well enough - no inverter technology but at this price, it's to be expected. However, I believe there is a design or build fault with the one I got. it again. The elements are exposed and wiping it down will dampen it. After a few instances, I returned it to Kmart for a refund. It's a pity because I have used the regular Anko microwave with no issues.

In effective convection/microwave – Purchased August 2021 from our local KMART. Worked brilliantly until about 6 weeks ago. Shorting out the circuit in home. Works intermittently. power points same outcome. Now not able to even stay connected. . Having read these reviews it is clear the microwave is the issue, not out electricity.

Problem on the second day of use – Bought this microwave in store on 29 Dec 2021. Set it up and used it to heat some dinner on the same day. It worked fine but on the next day, when heating, the right side/chassis/frame of the unit (where the controls are) started rattling. outside metal frame & the inside unit. When I use my hand to hold/press on the right side of the frame, the rattling stops but when I remove my hand, the rattling continues. Not happy! I wonder if radiation will leak! I'm going to take this back to Kmart for exchange as soon as I can.

I haven't used the convection oven yet so I have no comments on its usefulness.

Great convection microwave for the price!!! – Cheap, but works great. The only problem is the turntable broke and I can’t get a response from Kmart. I just want to buy an original replacement turntable. There are heaps of turntables available online, but not specifically for convection microwave ovens. Worked well, thought it a bargain, but it failed - fairly quickly – Needed a microwave ASAP as our brand name convection microwave had failed after 8 year of work. refunded me, no problem. The main issue with this unit is that it just did not last very long. Could not recommend this unit.

Short Life – I am most dissapointed in this unit. Having purchased it in January, 2000, it has totally failed in 19 months, shorting out one electrical circuit in my house. I bought this unit because of the convection/grill features. I have found that other units perform better and quicker. However I have been compelled to replace with another of the same as my kitchen renovation in part was set up to the match physical specifications of this unit. Show details

Kmart Kmart Anko convection oven – The clock you have to set it before 1 o clock and it will be ok. I have good eye sight so no drama to see clock and I'm 64 yeehaa. Use ceramic utensils for better cooking and flavour don't use plastic most recipes you cook at 180C as being 200 max on this unit so far so good will give a another report soon I have only had the oven for 2 weeks.… Read more

Cheers Update 3/02/24 Well the grill never worked and now the unit is very noisy convection is not strong. So much for grilled fish that I wanted to make it's a fishy story I feel like I caught a toad fish.

Clock wont stay on the set time and I have to keep adjusting it – I bought this microwave a few months ago and the clock will not stay at the correct time but keeps readjusting itself. I have to keep resetting it constantly. My last microwave MADE IN JAPAN was about 25 years old before it died so I am certainly not impressed with this new one. Would not recommend. Show details

small, efficient, sleek. Display is too dim to see – Usually those displays are bright red, but not this one. One does need to squint to read it, or put on magnifying glasses, so that’s “poor person” annoying. And the font on each button is miniscule too. design of microwave is sleek and clean. Vents are ontop meaning, nothing can sit on top of microwave, if microwave sits on bench, this is way too tempting. Certainly good value for money, my last microwave at similar price range lasted 4 yrs. Lets hope for another 4!

Good value but questionable reliability – We got this bad boy in April 2019 for $130 A few issues i didn't like straight out of the box: There is a clock function but no way to set the time. a full size oven. Then last week the microwave stopped heating. everything seemed like it was working but it just wasn't heating anything up. So we took it back and we were 2 weeks past the warranty date (it has a 12 month warranty) and Kmart gave us a full refund anyway.

Works fine but can’t change the time – The microwave and convection settings both work perfectly well. Sturdy machine. Only issue I have with it is that it shows the time but there’s no way to actually set the time. When you turn it on, it displays as 1am. to look at the time any more. Everything else works perfectly. When it’s done, it does beep at you repeatedly until you open the door so if that’s something you don’t like then this microwave isn’t for you. It beeps a few times then stops for a few minutes. Then repeat until you open it or press cancel.
