Took more time for myself, had remedial massages, acupuncture, but still so sore every morning after waking up. I have been unemployed for the past 2 months so the issue was definitely not my job. We finally went overseas for 2 weeks and from the 1st night sleeping on different hotel mattresses, I had beautiful night sleeps and absolutely no back pain! We came back last weekend and from the very first night back to sleeping on our mattress, I woke up with a sore lower back, stiff neck and I could barely walk. Second night, same thing. I now understand that this mattress is ruining my body and is definitely the reason why I feel so restless all the time because my life is pretty healthy in all other areas. I had noticed from the first year on that the mattress was sagging already in the middle and gradually my back pain was getting more intense. I just did not want to complain because I know my husband was so excited to get us a quality expensive mattress but it is unfortunately not worth the money at all. If it was up to me and if my husband had consulted me before purchasing it, I would have never spent $950 on a mattress, so it is even more disappointing when it ruins your general health and end up spending more money on physio, massage etc. My husband is a commercial cleaner and I am a disability support worker. For the work that we do, I think we deserve a comfortable mattress that allows us to rest for real.

My review has gone from 1 to 5 – If you are buying this mattress have the mindset of it lasting 3 - 5 years maximum before you need to buy a new one due to sagging and loss of comfort. So our last mattress lasted 15 years, so I do think if we have to buy five koalas then we are better to spend more on a longer lasting mattress. a firmer mattress from a cheap IKEA sofa in the guest bedroom because the current Koala mattress doesn’t help me heal my back issues. After only 3 years I would have expected the mattress to still be firm and flat. We paid more than $1000 for it and I would expect it to last a good 10 years? Disappointed. Also, we wanted to professional clean the mattress to get rid of dust mites but apparently Koala mattress can’t be washed. We are getting a new mattress soon and not from koala.

Mattress that sags – We ordered our mattress 14.03.21 and it has sagged dramatically on each side where you sleep. We spoke to Koala to see what could be done and we got a mattress topper sent out. night. Initially, I attributed this to a personal issue and accepted it as such but after sleeping on other mattresses it has become evident that the heat retention is associated with the polyester mattress.

I have meticulously set up my sleeping environment to optimize airflow and coolness. I am currently using a slatted base bed frame with 9cm gaps between the slats, ensuring open sides beneath the base, and no items stored below the bed that could impede airflow. Additionally, I have invested in a mattress topper explicitly designed to maintain a cool sleeping temperature, and I exclusively use 100% bamboo sheets which are meant to be the most breathable.

The quality of my sleep has significantly declined after purchasing a Koala mattress. Koala customer service have pre-prepared responses for complaints about heat retention suggesting it's a common problem and they will not provide you any support. They only provide warranty replacements for sagging or soft spots in the foam. I have not had a good nights sleep in months on my faulty mattress and they've refused to escalate my complaint to a team leader.

Koala have setup a blog post on their website titled 'Why do I sweat so much when I sleep? Let’s find out,' which further underscores the relevance of this issue and suggests someone at Koala has set it up to capture google searches for 'koala mattress night sweats'. The blog posts shifts all the blame on the user and if you reach out to their customer service team for help you'll be told to purchase more of their products.

layer is just what we needed. Our sleep was definitely better! Koala’s customer service was great and Hanna was a pleasure to deal with.

We bought the queen size Koala mattress back in June 2020. Initially, the mattress was great. It was firm and supportive however over time, the mattress has sagged and softened significantly causing neck and back pain. This causes us to wake up multiple times a night. The mattress also retains A LOT of heat! If you are a hot sleeper, I would avoid. If you're looking for a mattress that is more durable, I would suggest to look at a different brand as it has not maintained its firmness or shape over time.

Does not last the test of time, stick to springs – I've had my Koala for 5 years and it's been poor for the last 3, basically unusable now. It's suuper soft, saggy and basically everything that Koala promised it wasn't. Saggy in the middle after a year – The mattress was firm when new but this didn't last. It was used by two average weight adults, but developed a dramatic sag in the middle after 12-18 months. rotate it. It's meant to be a non-flip mattress, but the depressions that form in it after a couple of nights are ridiculous and leave you rolling into them each time you try to turn over. Neither of us are anywhere near the weight limit for this mattress either, so I don't know what this is all about.

My partner has finally had enough of monthly rotating and flipping and we've just bought a new conventional mattress. Delivery includes collection of the Koala and disposal at the tip. Sad, and not at all in keeping with what we expected after seeing the advertising etc. A long way from the 10 years that we expected from it. The best thing I can say about it is that it wasn't hot, despite being worried that it might be, and you can't feel your partner moving around.

So I took this to mediation with Koala, who were incredibly generous with reimbursements to the value of the mattress by way of store credit. But it doesn't change the situation with the mattress of course, so I'm posting my review regardless, almost one year on.

topper by Koala to try and make it more comfortable, but they sent me a thin piece of foam that just made the bed really hot as it retained a lot of heat. I bought a OneBed topper around 2 months ago but even that isn’t helping anymore. I’ve tried to contact support, but they refuse to do anything unless there is physical damage (There is none that I can tell). Really disappointed to think that I may have to go out and buy another mattress as my previous innerspring mattress lasted almost 10 years.

Probably is only good for 1 to 2 years – I got mine for about 3 yrs. First year was great but after that you will feel significant sagging on the hip position and also bed sides. If you sit on your bed for gaming or anything regularly, this mattress just cant afford it. Koala is the best in their after sales and marketing but the mattress itself really ain't that great compare to the reviews. Five years later, we need to replace it – It was great initially but hasn’t lasted as long as we’d hoped. It’s saggy around my hips even though we rotate the mattress regularly. UPDATE: Sensational resolution of this issue. Customer service is excellent with Koala. I didn’t realise they would get in touch. I just wanted to let customers know how this product performed over time. I believe the mattress we bought has now been superseded.

indents where we sleep are very noticeable and there's a huge crest in the middle. We are finally in a position to replace it and will do so straight away. I think these mattresses are ok for a spare bed but definitely not for every night sleeping.

Awful - DO NOT BUY THIS BED!!! – DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT BUY THIS BED!!! Mattress was great at first, long enough to get through the trial period. it. We're so sore. After posting a review, Koala contacted me to say the mattress is under warranty and I can get a replacement if I send photos of the sagging. I did that - the sag was really obvious in the pictures - but Koala just claimed they couldn't see anything wrong and some settling is natural wear and tear. They sent me a mattress topper for free, but that has done nothing to help. This is just a terrible waste of money. I'll be calling council to dispose of it as soon as I can afford another bed.

Not Recommended.. Lots of Sagging! – We bought this mattress at the end of 2017, and it went okay for awhile. sleeping smack bang in the middle of the bed, squishing my husband to the side as it is the only spot I can feel any support. I imagine it won't be too long and that spot will also be unsleepable! As much as these seem a good idea at first, I would suggest finding an alternative mattress!
