Hi there, I’m interested in the 4.5 seater modern sofa but have a couple of questions: - since it is a modular design, does each piece connect together firmly, so that the pieces won’t slide around at all relative to each other? - is it comfortable to sit at the line where 2 piece meet/join together? Or would one sink inbetween the pieces, and would things be able to fall through and get stuck between the pieces? - lastly, if I got the 4.5 seater plus the ottoman, does that end up being about the same as getting the chaise option in terms of seating space? My thinking is that the ottoman makes it more flexible as it can be moved around

Hi Mark, I can't answer your third question, but based on my purchase and experience the modular connects together very firmly and does not slide, yet disconnects and reconnects very easily when needed.
It is very comfortable to sit where it connects, you don't notice or get that sinking feeling. Speaking as someone with kids with small toys, nothing could get close to falling in between.
The reviews on here are spot on - it's an amazing product and we've loved ours.

Thanks for the answer Nic! One more question; are the covers removable and washable, like the lounging sofa ones are advertised to be?

As for your third question, Mark, the length of the chaise as a whole is 121cm with about 63cm protruding from the end of the seat. The ottoman is 76cm long so there's about a 13cm difference in the length. You're right in that the ottoman will give you more flexibility, but it's a tough choice!
The covers on the Modern Sofa aren't removable for washing, so we just recommend giving the sofa a light vacuum once a week or so, and spot cleaning any spills or accidents as soon as you can.

Does anyone have feedback as to how these sofas wear over time? Particularly interested in whether they start to sag.
G'day Michelle! It's always a good idea to ask questions before making a big purchase like a sofa. How something wears is super dependent on so many different circumstances, however you can rest easy knowing that the Modern is covered under a 5 year warranty should you need it.

Is this sofa firm at the back, in other words does it sink etc & cause backache

Hi. I've recently purchased the modern sofa and am about to order the Ottoman to match after seeing the quality. I would like to purchase 4x additional cushions like the ones supplied with the sofa. Is this an option.?

Would the modern sofa suit a tall person? Is it very low to the ground or so soft its difficult to get out of? Would the back support be high enough to comfortably support shoulders and neck of a 6 ft 4 man?
G'day Zeeva, Thanks so much for reaching out! This is a great question. Our product team was super happy to delve into the best answer for you and we even got one of our very tallest Koala's in our team (he's 6ft 2) to give it a good go.
The height of the Modern sofa back rest is perfect if you're tall and there should be no concerns! However, we want to be honest and say that while it meets all the industry standards, the depth of the seat may be better if it was a little longer for some. Unless of course you go for the added feature of the Chaise, in which case you should get all the comfy seat depth you could wish for :)
Another tip! The Modern sofa is equal in seat-depth to all the other sofas in our range except the Koala Coastal sofa, if by any chance you're interested in checking out that one too?
