How do I change the radio frequency on this device?

Ash

I bought the 4in1 car kit. I changed the station on the divide from 106.9 to 105.3 then proceeded to change in on my cars radio because the first channel made the music all static but now its not letting me play music from my phone, its like the device isn't even connected to my car anymore. My phone is connected to the device by bluetooth and the device is in the car properly, how do I fix this?

Will the 4 in 1 Bluetooth play music from a USB stick?

Hi Jenny, unfortunately, the USB ports on this product are intended for charging your phones and other devices. You can certainly play audio via AUX cable or Bluetooth using a Smartphone or similar device.

Hi, I tried to install my Kogan 3 in 1 Bluetooth Car kit, however, I was unable to connect the the unit to our phones. We both have Samsung Galaxy 5 phones.

If this does not work as per your directions, how do we go about returning the product and getting a refund?

Many thanks

Hi I purchase 2 of these and i find that both work but the reception through the radio is crap.

The sound is static and the volume very poor even with the device at V30. It is inaudible.

If i hit another station it blasts me out of the car.

I also tried _ or + and only the volume moves. No matter how long i hold the button down the frequency will not change.

CN you help?

When I press the + - buttons to change the station, nothing happens. Is the device faulty?

perthfury
perthfury

Hi Sally, After you plugged it in, does the digital display come on. The digital display should change with the + / -, make sure you have tunned your radio to the same frequency as your digital display on the Bluetooth. if the digitise display is not being displayed, check if the unit is plugged in properly. In my car the cigarette lighter inlet is not the one to be used, as there is a separate inlet just for mobile charger. If all the above checks are not helping you out, then the unit may be faulty.

Hi Sally, Thank you for your question. It may indeed be faulty if the frequency is lighting up but the buttons are not adjusting it. We recommend you get in contact with our Support team so we can sort the issue out, you can contact us on 1300 304 292 or submit an online inquiry here: external link

How do you find another radio frequency what do you do!! There doesn't seem to be anything on the devis=ce to change frequency?

John

Kogan
Kogan   DM

Hi John, Thank you for your question. To adjust the frequency the device broadcasts at, you'll need to use the small + and - buttons closer to the plug and opposite the USB ports. The frequency will change so you can set it to a free one and then tune your radio to it.

How do you find which fm frequency the device will play music from the phone through? it does t tune automatically.

Thanks

Kogan
Kogan   DM

Hi Ginny, Thanks for your question. You'll need to connect your phone to this device either by AUX or Bluetooth. You can then select a frequency on the device and tune your car radio to the same frequency. You should then find that your music will play through the car radio from your phone.

If you need any further assistance with this, please don't hesitate to contact our team on 1300 304 292 or at the following link:

I tried playing USB stick using the port, it does not play at all, also there is a lot of background noise when I connect it to the AUX cable, please advise.

Kogan
Kogan   DM

Hi Gaurav, Thanks for contacting us! To playback media on a USB drive, you will need to plug it into the port labeled 'USB', not the other USB port which is a charging outlet. In regards to the feedback, do you have the unit and your car radio on the same frequency? If so, have you tried another frequency? There may be something else in the area operating on the frequency you were using which can cause some interference.

If you need any further assistance with your product at all, we can be contacted on 1300 304 292 or at the following link:

HI,

I have the same or similar question as [name removed]. The answer above does not address the real question. When I set the device to the same frequency as the radio station (so that phone calls etc can be heard through the radio) the radio stops (no sound at all). That is, I cannot use the device at the same time as listening to the radio station which makes the device useless. Am I missing something? (If it is that the device is a radio this is also ineffective). Grateful for advice.

Gavin

When I set this up to a radio frequency (music station) this then stops that stations audio from playing. Is this correct or am I setting this up incorrectly?

Kogan
Kogan   DM

Hi Bondy, Thanks for your question! The frequency that you select on this device will be the radio frequency that it transmits the music you're inputting in to the device on. The idea behind is that you can connect your phone or MP3 player to this device, and set it to 87.5Mhz for example. Then when you tune your car radio in to 87.5Mhz, you should find that the music from your phone/device will play through the car stereo.

You can find the user manual for the device here:
