Received a package for someone else – Received a package which we didn’t order. Emailed the customer service to arrange a courier to pick it up but no response. Called them and they hang up on me. I was trying to help but they are so incompetent and rude.

Worst company on the planet! – Ordered 1 item back in Feb.... 1 month later and it still hasn't even been dispatched from their warehouse. What on earth is going on? I've never dealt with such a useless company in my life. Shop elsewhere. Don't even bother!

contacted to ask where products were before child starting kindy 18th Feb - received reply from Karen, customer service ("We have had major changes to our warehouse operations and software implementation within the last 6 months which has caused delays with the distribution of orders over the last couple of months. Our warehouse is trying to dispatch a large volume of orders as quickly as possible and currently working through those placed in January".) 18th Feb - sent email accusing them of being a scam company and that I knew I wouldn't receive a refund as no one else seemed to, so no point asking. 19th Feb - reply from Karen, disputing my claims of KE being a scam company & offering a refund. (Of course I accepted!) 22nd Feb - funds safely in my bank account - whoo hoo!

Unbelievable how a company can take so many people’s money and not deliver as promised with their guarantee – I ordered 2 book packs in November, 2 weeks before cut off. I only received 1 pack the day before school started then waited 3 weeks into the school term to receive the other, 4 weeks after the guaranteed delivery date. Do NOT use this company! – Ordered school books early Jan 2021. I was advised the books will be delivered 3rd week of school. We are now in week 5 and they still cannot give me a date. So many different stories when you ring to follow-up. They advised they will get a customer service team member to call me...never happened nor do I expect it from this company.

Was told too bad they don’t do refunds (by the way I have tried contacting numerous times and either don’t answer or don’t respond & have to keep trying). It has been over 12 weeks since I placed the order & still nothing. The last contact I had was the 1st week of feb saying 48hrs & it has been 312hrs since then and still nothing. Once again no return calls or emails with my attempt at contacting.

Criminals – Avoid this company at all costs. Year after year they lie and fail to fulfil their OWN promises. Every single year they come up with a new excuse for being awful and unable to send out orders (which is their core business??). awesome service - only if you are ordering book lists 1 whole year in advance – never will I use again - going local next time. local business gave me same day pick up, when my order had not arrived from Kookaburra. now have two book packs. Luckily can use books next year, as I did not get replies to emails or phone calls requesting cancellation of order and refund prior to dispatch. very unprofessional. would be embarrassed if I worked for them. had to give minimum 1 star unfortunately.

After looking at the Kookaburra responses to the reviews on this page I thought I would give them a chance and write to the email address they suggest - needless to say I have yet to receive a reply, so I am joining my voice with the other reviews to warn future customers of the issues associated with ordering through this company.

Horrific Experience. Will Never Use Again – I ordered my sons year two book pack (to the cost of $187.21) on the 9th of December. I had no idea there was a cut off date as I never even knew that our school used this company until another parent told me. I have now been waiting 6 weeks and still no book pack. going unanswered and phone calls not returned, I managed to get though on the 28th of January where I was told “Hmmm I don’t know why yours hasn’t been sent as there are only 40 orders left. We will ensure yours is sent out tomorrow and you will receive it by Monday 8th of February at the absolute latest”. I asked for the delivery company’s names that Kookaburra use which were provided.

The 8th came and went and no delivery. Checked the website again - ‘Ready for Picking’. Called again today to be told “We wouldn’t confirm a date with you. I have no idea why anyone would say that, let alone give you incorrect information. You ordered after the cutoff date therefore your order is not a priority and is at the bottom of the pile for your sons school. It will be delivered at best - second term.”

I am a single parent who has had to fork out another large sum of money to go and purchase new items from Office Works so that my son doesn’t have to use a borrowed pencil and printing paper, leaving me financially in the red. It’s not as if my son can use his year two specific books next year. What do I do with them once I receive them after I have already purchased elsewhere?

The company website states that there are no delays via Kookaburra’s warehouse, nor via their manufacturing partners but the items are still not packed? COVID is not a valid excuse because freight can travel perfectly fine despite border closures, but even with the borders now open my son will still be waiting a total of 3 months. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES ACCEPTABLE! This is plain and simple dishonest and shady business practices.

If your company is still afloat by the end of the year, I will be very surprised. It doesn’t take much to have good customer service or even offer a refund as a gesture of good will if you are taking too long to deliver items that a desperately needed by school children.

I have made a complaint to the ACCC and the Queensland Office of Fair Trading who were both very aware of your company.

Not recommended – Never buying from them ever...I thought I will give them another chance so I ordered last November 2020, even though they failed to deliver and update on time in 2019. You would think this company would learn a lot from their previous mistakes.. but NO!!! Whoever recommended them in the public school system should be investigated....Shameful my child to date still don't have her school supplies. If there is a negative star I will give them that!!

bought the book pack from local shops. I sent an email to cancel and get a refund with no response. This company nearly always has their phone ring out or goes to message bank and the times when I did get to speak to someone they said I had to speak to Lidia (the manager), whom was never available to speak to when I was on the phone, to approve a refund, so a message was always left for her to ring me back. Weeks of waiting and I never received a phone call back. The book pack then got delivered to my house on 4 February 2021 - two weeks after school started. Do not waste your time or money on this company. You will only end up disappointed.

Non existent customer service – I needed to update my email contact details as I'd changed jobs. I emailed them about 5 times and called them about 3 times, with my new email details. Never returned my calls, never responded to my emails, never updated my email address. They continued to send emails to my old work eml address. They're probably still doing it to this day. I can't even say the service was bad, it's quite literally non-existent. Don't use them.

Crap Service – I ordered on the 18th of November and still have not received my 2 packs. I have phoned every day and each time I get the same thing - we don’t know where they are...I was told today it was ‘booked for delivery’ and on the courier and surprise, surprise - still no packs.
