done some research myself and noticed Koorong had a similar Bible in stock on line, and I told Esther that I would be happy to purchase that Bible instead ( which was $5.00 more in price). Esther asked me to hold the line while she confirmed the alternate Bible was in stock, which it was, she then offered to send that Bible for the price I had originally paid, which I was very happy to accept. Two days later I have the new Bible, and I am very happy with it. Thank you Esther for the wonderful help you provided, you are a great credit to Koorong. I’m very happy with the service of Koorong.

I have bought items on back order. It takes months and months for them to fill the order. Meanwhile they have had use of my money for all that time. Don't buy anything on back order from Koorong - its not worth all the waiting you have to do. Worse service I have ever encountered as far as filling back orders.

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service and false prices advertised online. I contacted them via Facebook after there were no other ways to contact them in writing and sent them videos and photos of the advertised price, only for them to wait almost a week to send me the price once it was no longer on sale and refused to remedy the situation. … Read more

Considering they're meant to be a Bible shop, they're REALLY lacking any honesty and integrity. Had an almost $500 order that I was going to place and I've gone through Sanity and Booktopia instead. Saved myself nearly $100 so it worked out well for me. I'll never recommend them, that's for sure.

Wait was a bit long but worth it – It took a fairly long time for them to send the book but that was a staffing issue they had and they sent the book and it arrived in perfect condition.

Highly recommend Koorong – I have ordered many items and am happy to say all have been delivered in a timely manner. Their site is informative in telling you if an item is in stock and estimated delivery time. I would without reservation recommend Koorong.

The Reward points system that Koorong was introduced to reward members and to save them something for their loyalty. I was disappointed to find out that their points expire within 12 months. spend more money to get the points before they expire. I know about a lot of people who shop on Koorong and only purchase occasionally. Unless you are shopping very regularly your rewards will evaporate and you end up with absolutely no points. I would recommend shopping at some other place where you can most likely receive the same products for less money, with a faster dispatch time. I am so disappointed that a "reward" system would be in place to only "reward" management by trying to have people spend more than they want to achieve a minimal reward. I for one will be taking my business elsewhere.

I won't be ordering online ever again! When I pay for an express service why should I have to wait 4 weeks? For whatever reason whether it's the courier service it's not their problem or I need to follow up with the courier. I thought this was a christian bookshop!!

definitely not was their response. Another store had it on special but both stores had to order from publisher so the answer was no again. I asked if the gift voucher could be refunded and the answer was no store does that and the certainly won't do it either. Their attitude was inflexible and uncaring. I was very disappointed with their attitude.

19/5/25 I applied for a price match for a Bible and it was approved. I was told to call customer service to place the order. I had a Koorong gift voucher and wanted to use that. They don't allow you to use gift vouchers when placing an order through customer service. That's a bad practice, selling gift vouchers with restrictions. I'm waiting for a sale to use the gift voucher and then I will never buy from Koorong again.

Happily took my money but cancelled the order now won't refund – I ordered online, a "glitch" in the system rejected my order but Koorong happily took my money. I contact them and wait 5 days for a reply where they admit the order was cancelled (it can't be "cancelled" as the order was rejected at the payment stage and the cart never completed), they have my money and will refund in full BUT they won't refund… Read more

to the payment method used and I need to provide my bank details...NO! I paid with a Klarna card so it needs to be refunded to the card used so Klarna can update my account and acknowledge the order was cancelled and cancel the installment schedule. After refusing to provide banking details all I get is radio silence, Koorong won't respond to emails. This is what you get for supporting an Australian business, I should have gone to Amazon! Klarna is absolutely no help and have the most convulted complaints process, if Koorong refuses to refund to the original payment method I am out of pocket $218.33. For a Christian company their customer service is appalling

by the looks of so many negative reviews of the same issue, it seems to be reoccurring. What’s the point in having an online store if they don’t even ship anything out? Why advertise items available to purchase but not have any actually available? Terrible. I hope they will update this poor system asap!

Incompetence at every level – Order books in plenty of time for the 2 - 5 day delivery. sent express but said that they couldnt guarantee next day delivery. If they had told me they didn't actually have the books I could have organised that in plenty of time. Their website said they had 7 in stock. I emailed using their contact page which then said it would take 4 - 5 days for them to get back to me. Not quite helpful when it is urgent. Then rang, waited 20mins for them to tell me all this and had a sucks to be you kind of attitude. Sorry but there is nothing they could do. Incredibly incompetent, many business wouldn't survive if they exhibited the same kind of attitude but because Christian book sellers are few and far between they probably can get away with anything. Really annoyed and once again the customer just has to suck it up.

Bad online order system – I ordered a few books online from Koorong and despite showing there are stocks available at my local store - I live in Sydney and they have 2 stores near me, including West Ryde and Penrith, with both showing more than 10 available for the books I ordered. dispatched until nearly a week after, including one I paid Express Post for. Adding to Australia Post's delay, I won't get the books until 2 weeks after. I needed the book a week after I placed the order (the website says shipping is about 1-3 business days.

Even after 2 weeks placing the order, the order isn't fully fulfilled yet they have taken the money from me, very disappointing. I will not order online from Koorong again. Amazon gives us a much superior experience and the best of all, I know I can rely on its delivery date or other bookstores. Their service has really gone downhill since the Bible Society took over the company.

Non existent customer service – Like many other reviewers my experience with Koorong customer service has been horrible. Twice I've lodged a request to have them call me. The first on 15th October and again on the 30th October 2024. Neither ticket has been answered...today being 4th November 2024. All I want is to return 5 bible study books. Not rocket science !!! arose because of the long delay in getting my original order complied and delivered. It took months.

So lesson learnt i will now deal with the publisher direct. Honestly Koorong get your act together. Very disappointed

Dodgy – Ordered book .. after 3 weeks contacted them and was told it was on backorder and wouldn't be here till late December ( ordered 10th October) Cancelled order and was looking for replacement and they are still advertising it saying available by 11th November Very dodgy

Bad service at Koorong Slacks Creek – Was sent away from Koorong Slacks Creek when I wanted to drop off my Samaritan Purse Shoe box for not having the label. Rang Samaritan Purse and they said I don't need the label. Most of all I got spoken to by the store manager like an imbecile. This is what you expect from a Christian Store. May God bless them. So rang them to not send people away for other donations.

Poor Service Koorong – I ordered a book 9 days ago. My account says 'order pending' even though they accepted payment straight away. No confirmation email. I messaged asking when the book would be dispatched, and an automated response saying they would reply in 3-5 business days. 4 business days have passed and no reply. I rang general enquiries and a lady said she would phone back, but didn't. I require the book for a study group.

Poor online customer service – It grieves me to write a negative review for a Christian business but the customer service for Koorong’s online ordering is truly abysmal - emails unanswered and orders unfulfilled. Must do better.

disappointed in Koorong now, I used to order things every month. Now I can’t contact the Mount Lawley store, can’t contact anyone, you just get put on hold when you try to phone and that only goes to a national call centre. I can’t even see my account anymore. Please go back to the old system, it was far better than this one. Koorong has missed out on a lot of orders from me because I just can’t get in contact with them. Sorry to complain, Koorong has always been my favourite shop, but now I am so disappointed in them.

I also never had issues with getting in touch with their customer service. They're always helpful with my enquiries. I remember ordering an express shipping once and it arrived one day later than expected, and even though it's not their fault, they refunded my shipping cost immediately. Keep up the good work, Koorong team!

which items are on back order or where it's coming from (old ordering platform was far superior). Furthermore, unlike the old system, Koorong now charges you upfront for items that are not in stock. Lastly, I spoke to customer yesterday on the phone and the person was chewing food as we conversed and really sounded totally disinterested.

seconds and then tells you that all their officers are busy. Then the voice starts the whole process once again.

There must be something serious wrong within this company.
