great the first 18 months, then a nightmare – Same as other people have commented great product for first 18 months. After that just keep replacing parts to try and get it to run. You think you have found the problem because it works fro a week then stops again. Its 3 years old and i have repalced all the fittings. seriously the time i have spent trying to get this to work i may aas well… Read more
vacuum the pool manualy. I just dont undersatnd why when you have such a good design that resources arent put into qulaity control of parts.
RX-Tank Tracks failed within 3 years....not great!! I ordered new tracks from the www.kreepykrauly.com.au website for $88 for 2 pieces of rubber (seems way over the top, but anyway.....), plus $17.50 postage (again seems expensive for 2 pieces of rubber - maybe Express Post??..............then heard nothing!? 1800 777255 and they have no idea about my order?? They kept asking me for my company name - I said no, not a company, a private individual who has placed an order on your website and received a confirmation email, and have since heard nothing? Order number #18802. This is not a great customer experience, what am I supposed to do?? Very frustrating experience.

Kreep Krauly RX-Tank – We recently purchased the Kreepy Krauly RX-Tank. It cleans our pool perfectly covering all areas of the pool even going up the walls and on steps. It's super quiet and very reasonably priced. Show details · 1
Excellent cleaning performance at a great price – I started looking at robotic cleaners because my pool constantly has leaves and palm fronds in it. The price for a robot was too steep for me so I ended up looking at the RX Tank. I was originally put off my negative reviews about the propulsion systems having issues, but I also noted that the manufacturer routinely responds on this forum and… Read more · 1
offers to sort things out.
Clark Rubber Coffs Harbour had the RX Tank and a competitor unit available as special order items. When I asked which they would recommend they suggested the RX Tank given the manufacturer has sourced different OEM parts suppliers for the unit.
In terms of the cleaning performance it’s been terrific - my cleaning now consists of quickly scrubbing the water line above the perimeter ledge and the steps.
I’m hopeful that the drive unit issues experienced by other users doesn’t affect my unit.
Best pool cleaner I have ever used and Aussie Made! – We have been running a Kreepy Krauly for the last 10 years and it has not missed a beat. Unfortunately while shocking the pool recently, with the cleaner removed, the dog had better ideas of our trusty unit. We decided to upgrade to the new RX-Tank and I tell you what, this little tank is next level! I have never seen my kids so excited to watch… Read more · 1
the new ‘Frank the Tank’ (as they have named it) clean our pool. The pool was a little neglected (with the absence of our old cleaner) and had plenty of sand in the bottom. I couldn’t believe how quickly it cleaned the pool! Silent in operation and climbs the walls with ease. Highly recommend this Aussie made product and worth every cent in my eyes. Keep up the great work

Works OK – Purchased this to replace an old diaphragm sucker. This cleaner is much better, good suction and moves around the pool fairly well including walls, easily climbs the sides. Easy to setup and get running. I used the RX-tank in conjunction with a gator pool skimmer and it worked well with that, suction was still very good. Only downside is it gets… Read more
stuck on the corner of my steps frequently. Once stuck, 8/10 times it can't get off without being prodded or drops off when the pump turns off. It did it with the Gator skimmer at a lower suction rate, repositioning of the weight and ensuring the hose is suitable length.
I picked it up on sale having read plenty of reviews prior, still happy with the purchase given the price I paid however I would not have paid the full price given the constant nursing it needs with my steps.
Overall 3.5 stars out of 5, if it didn't get stuck and I could leave it be then it would be higher. I suspect I will have the same issues with similar cleaners however the RX-tank manufacturer states on website it can get out of corners and is designed to get unstuck, same advice given from the supplier. This is not the case with my cleaner.

Little beauty! – If you’re looking for a hybrid between a suction cleaner and robotic cleaner I’d give a solid recommendation for this little beauty - read on. I’ve had my RX Tank for approximately 4 months now and cannot fault it. I had been recommended a different brand unit which was similar to the RX Tank by my pool cleaner after having issues with the… Read more
existing traditional type suction cleaner getting stuck on outlets and steps in the pool. However, after researching further and reading reviews I found that that particular product may not have had the longevity needed for the $$ investment and opted for the RX Tank instead.
Putting the unit together was simple and the step by step instructions were clear. It comes with number of fittings so that you can easily attach the right fitting to your existing skimmer box plate. One thing you will need is your muscles when connecting the hose lengths together! All up it takes less than 30 mins to set up.
The unit is small and compact, but it gets into every corner of the pool and along the walls. I did have initial issues with the tank climbing up and out of the sides, but this was easily fixed by adjusting the hose length and skimmer box attachment/plate.
It takes approx. an hour to cover most of the pool (average size). I’ve found it doesn’t really cover the step areas well or at all (although the suction cleaner didn’t either) but so far no issues of it getting stuck. The unit is so quiet you won’t even know it’s on and working it magic.
The RX Tank price point is around average for comparable pool cleaners and overall this unit provides good value for money.

Great cleaner.... But not for tiled pools – We recently bought a house with a pool and immediately started researching the best set and forget pool cleaner to get. Everywhere, everyone was recommending robots but we knew we would get frustrated with having to put them in and out for every use. We also wanted our pool to look spotless and ready for cleaning every day so felt we would be… Read more
putting robot in and out constantly. So during our research we came across the RX Tank. We were so excited (benefits of both robot and suction cleaner combined and Aussie made!) we ordered one immediately! The Tank did an amazing job on the floors but unfortunately could not climb the walls of our fully tiled pool. We fortunately were able to return it and got ourselves a Vtx-7 instead since it suited our pool type better (the Vtx-7 loves the curved bottom and goes up the tiled walls easily). We are very happy with our Vtx-7 but wish we could have kept the tank as it was just so damn cool! I think it would be great if Kreepy Krauly either keeps working on the design to improve the tanks wall climbing abilities or even added optional extras to assist with wall climbing on slippery surfaces like tile or some fibreglass pools.

RX-Tank: Great at First, Now an Unresponsive Brick – and So Is Customer Support – With regular maintenance, the RX-Tank performed well for just over two years. However, two months ago, it began moving sluggishly, cleaning ineffectively, and frequently stopping altogether—despite no obstructions in the impeller and no changes to the pool system. I attempted to contact Kreepy Krauly support at least six times by phone with no… Read more · 2
response. After submitting their web form, I finally received an email from "[Name Removed]" requesting more details. I provided all necessary information, including warranty details and the serial number, but have since been completely ignored by both Kreepy Krauly and [Name Removed].
While the RX-Tank initially worked well, its complexity has now rendered it nothing more than an expensive piece of blue plastic sitting unused by my pool.
Lovin my Kreepy Krauly RX Tank – I have an old large pebblecrete peanut shaped saltwater pool. I almost bought a highly recommended cordless robotic cleaner so I wouldn't have to worry about the cord when swimming but realised I'd have to charge it, put it in and take it out and clean it every single time I wanted to clean the pool, and you have to still deal with the skimmer… Read more · 1
basket. The corded models are just set and forget unless you swim or empty the skimmer basket. The Tank is a lot quieter than my old Zodiac G2 and it doesn't have that damn diaphragm that got jammed so often with sticks and pebbles n stuff. It climbs the walls easily though it struggles in the curved corners. Doesn't seem to do the steps, if I dial the pressure up too much it climbs too high and sucks air, not enough and it can't climb over the lip onto the steps. 2 weeks without a hitch so far, very happy with my decision. Good cleaner – Overall a good cleaner that handles leaves extremely well. However, it didn't last 12 months before the first repair needed to be done under warranty. And just out of warranty the issues started. We have pretty much rebuild the whole cleaner's working parts by now by replacing one part after another. So all up, a very good cleaner, but it only lasted as long as the warranty for us. Show details

Poor longevity – Purchased 2 years ago. Worked reasonably well initially but always struggles a little with climbing the walls of our pool and frequently jams when picking up gum leaves. Internal gearing replaced under warranty after 11 months. Now tracks keep coming off and suspect the internal gearing has failed again. If it does move, it is very slow and… Read more

2 years and Replace – Worked well for near 2 years. Stopped moving. Belts replaced worked for another week, then stopped again. Gears and rotation loose or stripped and have to replace. Had a baracuda in previous place for 12 years and no issue other than standard maintenance. The more moving mechanical parts the more problems. Show details
Kreepy Krauly RX-Tank – I had high hopes for this cleaner, but my experience was disappointing. Not long after purchasing, the belts started coming loose, and various parts began to detach, with a plastic washer ending up floating in the pool. I had to take it in for service as a warranty job, which they did fix for me. However, the stainless steel spring on the control… Read more
valve, which fits in the skimmer box, kept rusting and must be replaced three times.
After the service, it worked great for about six months but stopped moving entirely. When I took it apart, I discovered several bearings, one of which was broken. I ultimately had to get rid of it and switch to a different model with no bearings and fewer moving parts. It's sad to say, but despite its initial performance being magical and something I loved, the long-term reliability just wasn't there.

Great pool cleaner – After 6 weeks of use, the tank works well. Only stopped once when a twig got caught in the rubber tracks. Leaves, dirt and other debris are easily cleaned off the pool surface. Show details · 1
Love that ready to use pool! – Best thing I've ever done putting one of these in my pool. Picks up leaves, sticks, bugs whatever ends up on the bottom of the pool really! Climbs the walls to the ledge and keeps the ledge reasonably clean as well. Make my life much easier and it's easy to just jump in and swim around the hose and cleaner. So compact and the install was super easy. Love this product big time! Show details · 1

Great initially but fails over time – We loved the simplicity and price of the RX Tank, and initially it worked really well. Within the first 12 mths they replaced the gearing inside due to it failing. The tracks are constantly loose, even after putting it in the sun often. It works intermittently. It is currently stuck half way up the shallow end wall and hasn’t moved for about… Read more

Money poorly spent – Worked well for 8 months then stopped. 3 trips to the repair shop and still an unreliable pool cleaner. Constantly stuck in corners, climbs half way up a wall and stops, stops in middle of pool, rolls on its side frequently. It's easier and less frustrating to manually vacuum the pool. Show details

Kreepy Krauly RX-Tank issues – Bought the Kreepy Krauly RX-Tank in 2022. Has issues with tracks coming off and pieces falling out like blue circular discs after a week. At least half the pool is clean – Bought rx-tank Jan 2022. For the first 10mths it was great. Cleaned very thoroughly as our pool accumulates a moderate amount of debris. Unfortunately, it then started having issues. Firstly, started getting stuck in the deep end as it wasn't 'rotating'. Turns out the tread had come loose on the tracks and needed replacing (under warranty). Worked… Read more
well for another few weeks, but now it is getting stuck in the shallow end as it no longer seems to be able to climb the walls and gets stuck again. I will take it back to the pool shop again, but reliability should not be an issue with a pool cleaner after 18mths of use.

Amazing piece of pool magic – We have had the RX-Tank for about 6 months now and it has been fantastic. pool accessory we have experienced. It goes up the walls, but won't go over the crest on to the steps, so you have to brush any dirt/leaves off the steps onto the floor where the tank will get it.

recently started doing this and I haven't found a fix for the issue yet. But overall the product has been a game changer and very satisfied with my purchase.
After 1 year I thought I had bought a dud cleaner – Having used a Polaris Robot cleaner for 8 years I switched over to the RX Tank as the Polaris Robot had issues collecting very fine dust particles at the bottom of the pool. the point they did not have enough contact with the drive wheels, so off to the pool shop to discover they wanted $113.00 for 2 new tracks!
I rang Kreepy Krauly ready to do battle for a $850 product only one year old, to my surprise they told me the tracks would be replaced under warranty as the supplier had change the composition of the rubber since I purchased to unit.
Pity the staff at the pool shops that distribute the Kreepy Krauly were not informed that the tracks are under warranty due to the manufacturing issue. I wonder how many people are shelling out over $100 unknowingly.
Relaxing by the pool – I reluctant to say I needed help with vacuuming the pool but a few winds storms and construction around. A great little pool cleaner – Does a thorough pool clean, hose doesn't get twisted or tangled up, better than a manual clean. After initial set up, it's easy to plug in and go. Picks up leaves and leaf litter easily. Recommend it for pebblecrete pools. Only a recent acquisition, so hoping it continues to be a great little cleaner. Show details · 1
