+100,000km from these! – I had KMart Auto fit a set of these on my VW Touareg when the original Pirellis were shot at 36,000km. That was in 2012. Now 2021 and VW has 144,000km on the clock. Yes the tyres are cactus no but what a run! Show details

60,000 kms and still not worn out – New Jeep Grand Cherokee bought mid 2018. Toured the east coast of Australia. Usually loaded to the rafters. Get 7.5l/100 kms. Melbourne to Brisbane at 110kms. Now done 60,000 kms. Not worn out to the wear indicators, but may change them soon. Very good grip in the wet. Will buy the same again. Show details

Excellent tyres for wet / dry / long distance – These are excellent tyres, 96,000 and still have 2.5 on front 3.5 on back never been rotated, a little noisy on some of our badly surfaced roads (Highways & country roads) will replace with same without hesitation. These tyres were fitted to car when purchased new. Show details

Hugely disappointed user – In September 2016 with Sante Fe requiring new tyres was recommended by reputable Hyundai dealer Solus KL21 were way to go.New tyres at 208,000.September 2017 tyres completely stuffed with 226,000 km covered and 2000 km short of 2nd 10,000 km check.Fitted Ecopia 850 by reputable dealership and have since covered 46,000 km and after fourth check… Read more

still plenty of tread. When complaining to relevant authorities was told road conditions, driver ability etc.etc may be cause and no one wanted to take responsibility. To put it bluntly the car was 90% driven by 74 yr old, travelled on gravel roads for 5% of total kms and all tyre rotations, balancing etc were strictly adhered to as were Solus KL21.One of the most annoying features was the fact the Bridgestones were heaps cheaper.(Author will be only too pleased to supply names of dealers etc).

Very Poor Life – Fitted these after reading good reports, big mistake, they will be lucky to do 20.000 ks, so much for the dealer maintenance program.. Forget the mileage warranty, no help at all. From k-mart, on the + side they do handle well in wet or dry & they are quiet. Kumho just forgot to include a good wear ingredient.  Show details

Incredible tyre life – These tyres were fitted to my Kia Sportage from new and have done 114,000klm including rotating the spare, nearly all suburban driving. Four are down to about 2.5mm the spare is 3.5mm so time for a new set. I always run higher than factory pressures (38/36 psi). These tyres perform well wet or dry, not a sports tyre but perfect for an SUV. A little noisy on some course surfaces but not too bad. Will buy another set.  Show details

Pay more save more – Usually the type of person to buy cheaper tyres however decided this time around to buy these ones and I haven’t looked back 12 months later and they still look like they’ve got at least 95% tread left. Water dispersion is excellent and having a v8 so obviously very heavy on fuel. I seem to be getting around another 50kms a tank  Show details

Average – I had these from new on my Grand Cherokee and only 40K. The tyres had bad wear on inside edge and i replaced with same from Kuhmo dealer at Deception Bay QLD. Wheel alignment and balance. Had vibration over 100K's and had to take back for rebalance. Same tyre life and abnormal wear. I replaced with same from same dealer and same vibration 5… Read more

minutes down the road so back to dealer to fix. I now have doubts about the competence or integrity of this dealer. Twice now had new tyres and balance and had to take back to rebalance. So do they just wack the tyres on and pretend to balance and aligne. Well these tyres wear out a bit over 40K on inside edge with plenty of tread left on the rest and would have got 70K approx. I then decide on Cooper SRX from Tyrepower Kingaroy including wheel alignment. I like the Coopers as they felt better on the road a wee bit quieter than Kuhmo and have a deep tread that i think are going to last me more than 40K well guess what they start wearing out at 50K so i take to another tyre dealer to get a wheel alignment an tell him i think my Camber is way out wearing out my tyres, well long story short he doesn't do a proper wheel alignment, he says you cant adjust Camber on them. I print out from the manual how to do it, oh he says thanks for that. I have now gone somewhere else had a proper wheel alignment done at a Steering specialist (non franchise) and the car steers beautiful for the first time and i think i have had my first honest alignment. Unfortunately i have to buy another set real soon and think i will get the cheapest decent tyre i can So the lesson is there are a hell of a lot of people paying for wheel alignments that are not getting done or partially done like Toe In only. Seems to be a conflict of interest with Tyre retailers doing wheel alignments. So the number one thing you can do is try to find an honest wheel aligner, good luck!!

Great All Round Touring Tyre – So far so good, I have had them for 5 years now on a FWD SUV. With over 60ks on them they are just now asking to be replaced (fronts anyway with only 1.5mm left). Rears still have 2.5mm on them. So you can easily get 50-60k from them. They have good all-round performance wet/dry/on/off road and road noise is minimal for highway driving. I will defiantly be getting another pair to replace the front ones. Highly recommended for all rounder tyre.  Show details

Good tyres with Nice grip – These tyres have turned out to be pretty durable so far. The road grip is great on turnings. Only thing I don't like is the road noise which can be heard while braking. I have it on my Kia optima and they look great as well. Overall a solid performer and price is also very reasonable comparing to Bridgestone and Pirelli.  Show details

Better than I expected – I've have only done about 5000kms so far so no comment on durability. However, wet and dry weather grip, noise and comfort so far has been impressive, better than I thought they would be. At least as good as the Bridgestone Duelers 687 I previously had on the car and much better than the Bridgestones in the wet. And at about 2/3 the price of the Bridgestones, I think I'll be sticking with Kumho's for a while.  Show details

Every time I need a new tyre I get Kymho Solus they are priced well and are excellent – Yes the tires are durable, they hug the road well, I got them from K mart tyre and Auto as I Trust their work and pricing. I have used jump tryes in all my cars and I have recommended them to my daughter who got 4 new ones for her Car as well. We are both happy with the tyres  Show details

Told these were good tyres and read reviews that rated them good – Tyres performed well but just been told while having a service that my rear tyres need replacing within another 5,00klms. I have only done 24,000klms and had them rotated and kept the presure at the recommended psi. Would not buy again as my last tyres Dunlop Grandtrek lasted 80,000klms so not happy.  Show details

Wouldn't use any other tyre – I have used these tyres on various cars and have yet to find a better value/grip/tyre life balance on another brand. For example Continental tyres wore like a bugga and ain't cheap! I like Michelin for grip but they cost a fortune! Aussie car reviewer rates Kumho tyres highly too. Great Tyre, but buy online – I have been very happy with the Kumho KL21's s on my Jeep GC Limited and recently replaced them after 80,000km's of mainly city driving with another pair. I rotated regularly and kept them at 36-38psi to improve wear. They have good all-round performance wet/dry/on/off road and road noise is minimal for highway driving. AS THE INTERNET SAYS ''KUMHO IS KOREAN FOR CRAP'' – On my 30,000 service the dealer told me I need new tyres. These tyres were fitted on the brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee MY14 Limited and have been properly maintained as per the dealer specs. On speaking with Kumho they say they require all new cars to have a wheel alignment with a tyre dealer !!!! WHAT ??? Pay $75,000 for a brand new quality… Read more

car and still have to pay more to have the alignment checked ??? I wonder who gets a kick back and why Jeep fit such crappy tyres on expensive vehicles. Not Happy Jan.

Factory fitted – I only got 32000km in 15 months and these were rotated regularly. Look good, just not sure if I should get more mileage out of them than that. They were first rotated at 6km and at each service thereafter so I know I could have done no more. They are a good price though.  Show details

Good tyre – Factory fitted tyres compliment the car very well, so well that I replaced them with the same tyre. My only diss appointment is that I only got 43000kms. In all fairness one pair had about 55 percent and the other pair had worn down to the wear indicator. The tyres were not rotated regularly enough by servicing dealer.  Show details

78,000kms so far – When I bought the Jeep with those 20" rims, I figured I'd be happy to get 40,000kms out of the tyres but expected less, I can't believe it's about to tick over 80,000kms, and still a few kms to go until they are level with the wear indicators, probably change them soon, at 85K. That's such good life I am forced to consider buying the same tyres.… Read more

They are also very quiet. I tow a boat quite a lot throughout summer weekends and a camping trailer during winter too.

71,000kms so far – Have them on my 2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo V6 3.6lt from new and are up to 70000k's. Have then rotated with every service and run them at 36psi to 40psi.which is every 12,000K's. which I am told is the secret to good tyre wear. Use has been 90% road 10% beach with the odd boat tow. I drive hard at times but always brake slowly when possible.… Read more

61000 km so far – We bought our Hyundai ix35 when it was 2 years old and had 23000km on it. The tyres were on it from the start and now the car has 61000 km on it. The tyres are wearing evenly and there is about 1-2mm tread depth left and a tyre shop told us there is about 5000 km left before they should be replaced. This seems to be about the general life span of… Read more

this tyre, but obviously depends on how you drive, on what surface and your tyre pressure. I am wondering whether to replace them with the same tyre or different, this depends on price, wear, fuel savings and multiple other factors!

Update to review 4 March 2016: Last week I asked a tyre shop to check the tread depth as they were 63500 km old. He said they had less than 1.6mm tread left at the indicator arrow and should be replaced. I shopped around and managed to get his initial quote down from $235 per tyre (incl fitting) to $218 per tyre. It pays to shop around by phone as you can save a lot. I decided to buy these tyres again as they lasted 63500 km and are a quiet tyre on the road. He recommended Pirelli tyres (~$190 each) but the reviews I read told me that 4/5 reviewers thought they were noisy. I should have got the tyre shop to put the 5 year old new spare on the car and put one of the brand new tyres in the boot as the 'new spare'. Don't forget to do this when you buy 4 new tyres and your spare is a few years old but still unused.

Never put these on a Jeep Grand Cherokee – Only got 28,000km out of these this is also after 5 wheel balances in 8 months as all tyre stores have issues getting these stupid tyres right on 20 inch rims. Tyre pressures always correct as I measured weekly with gauge and with tyre monitor system in Jeep Now been told they are that bad that Jeep no longer put them on new cars in Australia now use Michelin tyres Just bought a set of Toyo open country tyres hopefully get 50,000 or more.  Show details

Not the tyre for 2014 Grand Cherokee LTD – OE tyres on Grand Cherokee 20" wheels - handle OK and ride is quiet, but wear rate, especially on back axle is poor. 25000kms on rear at depth markers. Driving open road (99%bitumen), not towing and not pushing it. Front tyres will see 30000kms or so. Maybe the the torque of the diesel is a factor, but I think they may be better suited to road use on lighter SUV's  Show details

Quiet, good grip – We have had these tyres on a Merc GL350 for 12 months and while quiet and good grip (well we dont actually 'test' how good grip is - its no sportscar) the tyres have proven very difficult to get a wheel alignment done. The local alignment centre - used by all Porsche and Merc and Audi enthusiasts in our area cannot get the vehicle alignment good… Read more

with these tyres - original spec Continentals no problem at al and car has never hit a curb etc. We had resorted to adjusting tyres pressures to limit left hand pull when driving on straight roads - right on the verge of the tyre pressure sensor alarm going off. They were $200 less than Michelin and Continental per tyre...it seems for a good reason. If I revisted my decision - I would have payed 800 more for a set of Michelin or Continentals. Tyre size is 265/60r18

Great tyre – I got 90,000 kms out of these tyres on my Grand Cherokee that came with the car when new. They are quiet and provide a comfortable ride in all conditions and surfaces that I've driven on (I haven't really taken them off road as use mine for work and towing). Good life – These came fitted as standard on my Hyundai Santa Fe Highlander. They have performed well in both wet and dry conditions including the occasional gravel roads. aquaplane. :) I've gotten 76,000 k's out of them so far. The front tyres are just starting to wear badly on the sides so they need replacing. Not sure if it's a tyre wall issue or just me cornering too hard in an SUV, but I'm pretty happy with them lasting as long as they have.

4/12/2017 UPDATE - Originally posted this review in April of 2014. I replaced the tyres not long after the review with another identical set. I have since put 85,000 k's on the new ones. I'll be replacing them in the next few weeks. I'm just as happy with the second set as I was with the first, especially as I got an extra 10,000 k's out of this set. Long life, acceptable performance, good fuel economy Wearing unevenly after 70,000+ k's

Great tyres – Great cheaper priced tyre. Lasted 60000 kilometers on my new Kia Sorrento. Would have liked more but wouldnt we all. Low noise and no complaints for my mainly highway/ city driving. Didn't test in mud as only an all wheel drive but worked well in the rain on standard city driving. Well recommended relatively cheap and good kms
