Need a muscleman accessory to open it – This juicer causes me nightmares. I should juice, it’s great for my health, but since “upgrading” to a kuvings I’ve pretty much stopped. It juices great, best I’ve ever had. One small problem - you can’t open the darned thing to clean it. I’ve had many men try, and many have failed. I’ve tried the help desk whose suggestion has me wrestling the… Read more

thing to the ground and has a less a 50% success rate. I’ve listened to lessons on how to cut the veggies up to put in it. One small problem there - it doesn’t have to be blocked for me not to be able to open it. I can wash it and have it sparking clean and still not be able to open it. It’s such a simple change to have a handle on it so there’s something to grab on to so you can turn it. For the amount of money it costs it’s a shame that an otherwise great product has such a big flaw.

Terrible - BAD product and company – The screw gets pulp jammed up under it no matter how you use it, and that jams the wiper cog so the juice doesn't flow out properly, and the screw then also pushes up into the lid eventually braking it. All of you naive reviewers giving it a good rating before even getting or properly trying the product are supporting a dud with your misinformed… Read more

reviews - you were taken for a ride by marketing hype.....take down your reviews until you have a clue. The company treats you like the problem when you complain that its not functioning properly and denies there's a fault in emails but then admits on the phone that the screw gets jammed with pulp and pushes up breaking the lid. Its not enough to replace broken parts for this B6000, the company needs to offer a full refund for faulty products, which they refuse.

The box it came in says: "juicing has never been easier, juice WHOLE fruits and vegetables!" This is a dishonest and misleading company, they should have gotten the design right before selling it. No reason why the screw couldnt be protected from pulp pushing into its cogs, and have a stronger lid with a ballbearing at the top with no tolerance so the screw cant push up. They promised German quality but deliver malfunctioning mess.

Wouldn't recommend at all – Can only make certain juices with using hard ingredients only . For example You can't juive pineapple , cucumber, celery as it all completely gets stuck . You also can't juice purely one fruit or veg as I feel you have to mix it up . I would of like to do pure celery and it also just gets all stuck . I Wouldn't recommmed this juicer at all Show details

So far so good ,better than good really :) – Bought 2nd hand almost a month ago. Realistically I have used it to make juice around 10-15 times. My initial experiences have been great, making carrot + beetroot + ginger + greens powder. It's faster to make juice than my old juicer that burnt out, and clean up is fairly straight forward, with the most difficult bit scrubbing the strainer.… Read more ·  1

Removing the pulp is easy, and there is less wastage as well compared to my previous juicer experience (Semak VitaJuice).

Most importantly I am juicing again, and this time round soaking my vegies in water, which is the extra motivation I need to make the juice as I have already started the process earlier in the day.

I'm hoping this machine will last me 5+ years with the odd replacement of parts here and there, and not have any major issues - fingers crossed because I am in a good regular habit with this machine. Just be carefull with assembly, the auger needs to be pushed in firmly for the lid to close securly.

Will report back if any problems down the track.

5 star worthy machine, but giving 4 because a year or 2 down the track might be a different story...

Great Juicer!! – The "whole food juicer" part is a bit misleading as you do have to chop your produce before juicing them according to the instructions but i dont have any issue with this as I dont want seeds and stalks crushed up and in my juice. It does juice Kale and celery provided you dont shove it all in there at once and for ease of cleaning and to avoid… Read more

clogging cut celery small. Its best to follow leaves and celery with something like apple or carrot to really keep the pulp flowing from the chute. Very quiet to use and the juice tastes great with minimal pulp. If you dont like any pulp you may need to further strain your juice. Cleaning is super easy and takes just a few minutes. I do struggle sometimes getting the lid on but once i get more practice i think it will be fine. I was dissapointed to find only one strainer came with the juicer, most juicers on the market seem to come with 2. The warranty period on this machine is fantastic 20 years on the motor and 5 years on the rest of the parts. Overall I am very happy with it.

Seriously this is one good juicer – Over the last 25 years I have owned 5 different juicers which I did use regularly but lately have been juicing 2 or 3 times daily. I owned 3 different centrifugal juicers in those early years and my latest was a horizontal mill type slow press juicer which I owned for 18 years. On this horizontal cold press juicer the feed chute was only 35mm so I… Read more

had to cut everything up into strips to fit down the chute. A few friends have recently purchased a Kuvings B6000 or C7000 and were happy with them and I was interested when I saw the width of the chute. After purchasing the Kuvings B6000 I can report the time it previously took me to prepare, juice and clean up with my old juicer is cut in half. It's so easy to disassemble, clean and reassemble I would recommend this juicer to anybody. Since purchasing late last year I have juiced a variety of fruits, veges and leaves including carrots, apples, grapes, beetroot, celery, watermelon, rockmelon spinach, cabbage, cucumber and ginger without a problem. I still chop everything up and drop the pieces in a piece at a time but I don't have to chop as small as I've done for last 18 years and it all takes half the time. It is my opinion that people finding fault with this juicer either haven't read the instructions, are not assembling the juicer correctly, are not cutting the produce up adequately or are overfeeding the auger. The only fault I find with the juicer is there is no handle for lifting and moving if required. Still worth⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐though and I love it.

Great juicer – Great juicer, great flavour, handles ginger and beetroot like a champ but I chop it up anyway to minimise any potential clogs. Does carrots easily. Quiet enough being a slow juicer doesn't oxidize the juice. Cleans easily enough if aren't too concerned about being pedantic like I was when I first got it. Best Juicer - I wouldn't buy anything else than a Kuvings – This juicer is amazing - I make juices every three days (as suggested). The juice is Pulp free, the machine is easy to use and clean. This machine produces delicious smooth juice if you dont like pulp. I recently had a health problem of ulcerative colitis and started juicing cabbage and it definately helped. I also juice Kale very 3 days and is delicous. I would never own any other juicer after owning a Kuvings. Thank You Kuvings!  Show details

Awesome cold press juicer – Whilst the box shows and states that it is a "whole food juicer" with a wide chute illustrating a whole apple, the instructions strictly demand that you do not insert whole fruit and vegetables. lot more nutrients and juice are being extracted from the fruit and vegetables. The disadvantages are: you cannot put ice cubes or any frozen fruit and vegetables in the juicer, also the jugs are not well designed to fit against the juicer and they do not come with lids so I often accidentally drop pieces of my fruit or vegetables straight into the juice. I have a lot more energy since using this juicer and drinking a glassful of mixed fruit and vegetable juice every day. I have made no other changes to my diet and do not take any supplements.

Quality Juicer – Absolutely fantastic juicer and excellent quality. Makes beautiful juice and the machine is quiet. The cold pressed juicing process ensures that no nutrients are lost during the extraction process and the juice taste is intense. I would not use any other juicer. The cleaning is as simple as it can be considering is a juicer, therefore you end up with all the fibre to clean up. And during summer time it will dry pretty quick but I’m just wondering in winter will have to be dried with a rag or something although of course the metal parts won’t rust

Stumbled Across It - Best Stumble Ever – After having a magnificent Samson GB9001 for well over 10 years (the motor is still going strong but the new spare parts are sub-standard) I was forced to look for a new cold press juicer when the plastic juicing parts kept prematurely failing. the original instead.

The GB9001 was awesome but its obviously old technology compared to the B6000 which is so much faster. It's sold as a whole fruit juicer but I'm playing it safe to avoid the experiences of the users on here who are not happy with the unit, by cutting the fruit and vegetables up. If you do that it's still much, much faster than the smaller screw auger type juicers and doesn't get clogged up with pulp. So it's faster, has drier pulp, more juice and is way easier to clean afterwards.

So happy I went this way!

So easy to use – This slow/cold press juicer produces beautiful juice. Due to the large chute size, the preparation time is reduced considerably compared to my previous Huron juicer. The worlds most expensive paperweight – Seriously do not buy this B6000 It take a lot of effort to keep it clean, and if you are juicing celery you actually need to cut it up into 1cm pieces to prevent the exit chute clogging or pulp getting under the auger which will in an instant push the auger rapidly upwards breaking either your bowl or top or both As for their claim of whole… Read more

food ie: apples, it is not that effective as fruit seems to find its way above the auger resulting in a slurry that needs to be pushed down into the mouth of the auger.

Although they advertise this product as a whole food slow juicer, in conversations with them they have claimed

; seeds must be removed

; Skin should be removed

; the string from celery must be removed

; Apples and other fruit and vegetables should be cut up into wedges

AS IT STANDS NOW i AM TAKING KUVINGS TO VCAT TRIBUNAL HEARING.

as they are now declaring that they will not honour there ten year parts warranty

and they are claiming sight unseen that I damaged the mesh screen ( which I can assure you is clean and in perfect working condition )

Initially the first problem occurred within a month of buying the Kuvings B6000 Juicer

with a broken juicing BOWL and LID, which was replaced under Kuvings 10 year warranty, we

naturally assumed we had caused the fault and were happy with Kuvings and their service.

Mid June, 2016 while juicing whole fruit we suffered another broken BOWL which was again

replaced.

By this time we had had ample time to use the machine and work out that it is not actually a

whole fruit juicer as advertised, and we began to investigate how we could produce juice without

causing any blockage that may damage the machine again. We revised how we prepared the

'WHOLE FRUIT and VEGETABLES' in an effort to spare us another breakage or blockage.

In the example of grapes KUVINGS website just advises removing the stalks( no brains needed

there )

we however found that pre-soaking the grapes followed by being processed in a blender worked

to a degree but not completely.

After a lengthy discussion with Maroll from Kuvings I decided to experiment with one of the

removable silicone plugs ( that inhibits juice from exiting through the pulp chute ) i removed the

section that restricts pulp flow in an effort to juice for longer.

It worked wonders so much so that I successfully managed to juice over 5 litres without any sign

of blockage or strain on the machine.

I admitted this to Maroll in a text message as we had been communicating via text at that time

As my emails had gone unanswered.

Her reply was

" Hi Alice that's great news. i will share the solution with others. I always feel there is a solution

for every problem when you are determined to find the solution. Thankyou for not giving up...'

( taken from my phone )

So clearly she did not see it as a major issue and felt it worthy of sharing and that the solution

posed no risk of damage to the machine whatsoever.

On the 19th, of October, 2016

while we were using the machine juicing at a tame rate we placed a whole apple after having

juiced other fruits and vegetable ( which they advertise is perfectly fine to do ) both the BOWL

and TOP broke in a very similar fashion to how the other BOWL and TOP had broken previously.

While disassembling the juicing bowls the auger rolled and fell onto the floor and broke a small

section of the auger ( my own silly fault ) upon inspection it was eident that again an amount of

pulp had become lodged under the auger resulting in the breakage to the machine ( exactly the

same reason for the last TWO failures )

By this time we had already seen John Kohler from discount juicers new video comparing the old

B6000 with the new C7000 juicer explaining the revisions and giving insight to why these new

revisions were implemented. Namely problems that were identified with the previous model that

needed to be addressed.

On the 20th, October, 2016 I sent an email to Kuvings requesting a replacement of damaged

parts which went ignored.

They finally got in touch on the 8th, of December, 2016

Where they initially changed the price of the offered upgrade to C7000 that they had offered yet

not billed us for

And then in a separate email they refused to honour their warranty

which I remove with the back of a teaspoon.

We recently went to the Kuvings warehouse for help as the lid was broken. The gentleman who helped us there was very helpful and charming. However, D. was quite rude and has very poor people skills. She told us she'd never seen such a dirty juicer, implying we were dirty people and it was our fault! This is despite the fact that every morning after each juicing we clean the rubbish out, soak all the parts in warm sudsy water, scrub with a brush, rinse and dry them!! She even took a photo of it which we assume she will use to show off how not to do it. I suggested she look at many of the reviews in various places mentioning design faults with this Kuvings juicer.

However, the charming gentleman simply explained we needed a special cleaning cloth and detergent, which isn't mentioned in the booklet. We purchased these and it now works. We have a nice juice each morning, a very clean but labour intensive juicer and a lasting nasty memory of this person called D. Perhaps she ought to steer clear of retail!

For the price these issues need to be fixed. We would never buy it again.

First impressions: Excellent machine, thoughtfully designed – I decided to buy a juicer for the family in order to eliminate the many bottles of store bought juices in our house, to improve our well being through the benefits of freshly juicing a variety of fruits and vegetables and, importantly, to improve the kids diet and reduce the quantity of sugary juices they consume. The rule in our house is if you… Read more

want juice, you have to make it! This means that the juicer will inevitably be used at least morning and evening each day. Therefore the criteria for the choice of juicer was ease of use for kids (12 & 15), clean to use, not too noisy, easy to clean, reliable, and effective. We would be mainly juicing fruits (apples, pears, berries, kiwis, tomatoes, mandarins and oranges) and some vegetables (carrots, peppers, celery).

After some research of reviews and videos online I came to the conclusion that a vertical slow press juicer would suit our needs best. The horizontal juicers I learned would be better at masticating leafy vegetables, but required considerable preparation of the ingredients (chopping), and a good deal of pushing to feed the ingredients through. Additionally they looked to be messy in operation. All negatives when it came to the prospect of my 12 year old making his own juice (and inevitably not cleaning up afterwards...!).

Of the vertical juicers there are many brands and models now available and all claim to prepare great juice, however when I applied my reliability and ease of use criteria the field narrowed considerably. A wide feeding chute was very desirable, and a long warranty equally so. So in the end I decided on the Kuvings B6000 which I purchased from Harvey Norman. In Australia this machine comes with a 20 year warranty on the motor and a 5 year warranty on the parts. I also noted that Kuvings representatives in Australia seemed to be very proactive in responding to customer queries/problems - which to me is another good sign.

So to the product; The machine is well packed in three sets of components. All parts are well protected and the box would need some serious impact (eg being dropped from a good height, or hit by a forklift) in order for the goods to be damaged. I imagine it would withstand shipping for online purchases very well. It comes with an excellent recipe book, a DVD, and a small assembly instruction card. All are well produced and easy to understand. In Australia, there is an additional leaflet explaining the Australian warranty and also highlighting important points in the use and care of the machine. Clearly there have been issues in the past associated with usage, as you can see in a couple of the reviews here, and this leaflet is no doubt designed to prevent some of these issues from arising.

The parts are of excellent quality and very well made. I am a product designer and engineer of some 20 years, so you could say I have a critical eye when it comes to the design of components and their quality of manufacture. The bowl and lid feel very robust, as does the juicing screen and the auger. All parts go together easily and precisely. Anybody who has experience using kitchen mixers, blenders etc should not have a problem putting this together, although reading the instructions is valuable if only to draw your attention to key areas that may be less intuitive (such as the correct placement of the seal for the pulp). Let's face it - you would probably spent $500 - $600 on this machine, so 5 minutes looking through the assembly instructions is going to be time well spent to ensure a happy experience. Placing the jug assembly onto the base is easy, but requires a little care to ensure that it is lined up correctly and sitting fully down - it all works well, although this is one area that could benefit from a design with a more positive feeling lock to give confidence that everything has been put together correctly before juicing.

Two containers, one for pulp and one for juice are placed at the two spouts (pulp and juice). The juice spout has a lid that can be neatly opened or closed - a major tick for clean operation by the kids as it eliminates dripping onto the benches! Keep this lid open during juicing to allow the juice to flow as the ingredients are crushed, as I believe this reduces the presence of pulp in the end product.

So far we have juiced celery, apples, pears, carrots, kiwis, strawberries, mandarins and oranges. If the fruit is small enough to fit into the chute you could wash and throw in, however I think to ensure the long life of this (and similar) equipment some simple preparation is wise. We halve the apples and pears and remove the stalks, halve or quarter the oranges and mandarins - I leave the peel on, though you can remove it to eliminate the slightly bitter peel taste. Strawberries and kiwis go straight in no prep required other than washing. Carrots - I remove the tops, wash, and allow to soak in a bowl of water to aid extraction. Celery needs to be crisp and fresh and cut into smaller (say 5cm) lengths. The fruits all need to be firm - if you have floppy celery you WILL be disappointed! For all of these ingredients the yield is excellent - 3 granny smith apples makes a very large glass of juice! The presence of pulp is minimal - we like pulp, so in fact it is probably less than we would otherwise drink. If you have tried the Nudie apple juice, that is about the level of pulp produced for apples, pears, carrots, kiwis and other berries in this machine. The unit is indeed quiet. Not totally silent, you still hear the satisfying crush of the apples and squishing of other fruit, but the noise is not at all intrusive. The smoke-transparent lid and bowl allows you see what is happening in the process, which makes the whole experience quite engaging.

I have to say - after drinking fresh, slow pressed, juice - I would struggle to go back to the bottles from the store. Simply no comparison in flavour - even to the premium brands on the supermarket shelves - this stuff actually tastes like fresh fruit - not just sweet or watery.

After making a juice we flush the juicer through with clean water, takes about 10 seconds, so it's ready for the next person. If we are finished with making juice altogether, then the whole lot comes apart easily and is easily cleaned. 5 minutes max under running water using their special screen cleaner brush, and it is done. Even the kids do it with no problem.

Now, I can see where problems may occur in using this unit. It is possible for pulp to get under the auger and lift it upwards against the lid thus making the removal of the lid very difficult. It has not occurred to me, but it is possible. Looking at other designs of vertical units and their augers I believe it is inherent to their basic design. It is my impression that this is particular to stringy vegetable and leafy greens (celery, spinach etc). Kuvings give simple instructions on how to resolve this problem if it occurs. However prevention is better than cure - clearly ensuring they are fresh and firm, chopping these in smaller pieces and taking care to feed in at a slower rate (rather than ramming a stack down the chute) will improve the success in juicing these items.

If leafy greens are going to be the main juicing to be done then a horizontal juicing unit may be a better choice in any case, but as an all round juicer for fruit and some greens this machine is an excellent device. There are cheaper units out there for sure, but this does as I expected it to - and the last thing I wanted was a $300 unit that failed to deliver on my criteria. I wholly recommend it!

Happy with my purchase – I bought the juicer 6 months ago, and I'm really happy with it. I've been using it every single day since then it's quite and easy to assemble, my 12 years old daughter use it all the time. I'm on a juicing diet, so I'm juicing all kinds of fruits and vegetables. I even made almond milk with it for my son and he loved it. The only thing I noticed… Read more

that when I juice a lot of carrots I can't open the top of without help, and I have to use the strainer when I juice carrots as it produces a lot of pulp. It takes time to clean but easy. I'll never go back to my fast juicer which was very loud.

Unhappy customer! – I cannot open the top of the machine after juicing, I have to get my husband to do it and even he has trouble. I've replaced it once (which took 3 months to do!) and have exact same problem with the new one. It also clogs up with pulp, especially celery, etc. and is a nuisance to clean. Very unhappy after spending so much money on it.

Think twice before buying, read – We have had the juicer for about 9 months. It works great on soft fruits and veggies, but you cannot juice celery, silver beet, ginger and anything leafy. It really defeats the purpose of not being able to juice easy veggies. If you do juice these it will block up the system creating pulp at the top and wont be able to extract anything else… Read more

properly. So you block it up, take it apart, lose everything in there can then you can't put it back because it just wont fit as its not clean. I have tried everything cutting them up, leaving them bigger, the only solution is to leave them last to juice - but you can only have one of these veggies in the juicer... Not commercial unit at all, my plastic lid is starting to crack and I use it three times a week. Cleaning is great if you don't use anything that will block it up then you will spend a few minutes trying to unblock the shoot.

Unfortunately I read the reviews (here) of this product before hand. I did see some bad ones but I come back now and I see more bad reviews. Good ones Im sure they have only had the unit a few days...

Good luck

Whole family loves it – Hubby and I bought each other juicer for Christmas we kept the Kuvings cold press and returned the Breville centrifugal. Really happy with Kuvings. Previous reviews had made us wary re cleaning, leaking and pulp, but we experience none of this. We get beautiful healthy juices, no pulp, easy to clean and assemble. Our 11 year old uses it and puts… Read more

it together and cleans it all the time the only thing she needs help with is cutting the pineapple and passion fruit. Our family of 6 are really enjoying the quality and quantity of juice we are getting out of it and the kids love feeding the juicer. We peel the oranges as after some experimentation we don't like the taste of the juice as much with peel on verses off. We bought it on a special with sorbet attachment which we have not used yet. Expensive, but worth it to have everyone consuming more fruit/ veg and getting and feeling healthier. Went back to store bought juice while away camping recently and wondered how we had ever consumed it in the first place - there is absolutely no comparison between the 2. With our Kuvings we can just make any flavour we want anytime we want.
