You have to!!! – So much space in a small bit of Land Rover. I love it alot of Tech and its all cleverly designed and thought of...great on fuel....I should of bought one of these ages ago. Show details
Terrible car – Just done buy, DPF system is the worst thing I have ever experienced in a car. Spent 15k in 3 months and have still a warning light on. Used to love Land Rover but will never buy again.

A practical alternative to the Range Rover Evoque – There have been some serious improvements by Land Rover to step up build quality. It’s never been bad - quite the opposite really. The construction of the exterior just appears to be accurately put together, complementing a premium brand like this. On the interior, I was truly impressed with the fit and finish of the leather trim, metal buttons,… Read more
handles and paddle shifters. From the construction of the leather seats, infotainment, centre console and even through to the third row seats, I was pleasantly surprised with this updated interior.
After options and before on-road costs, this Land Rover was priced from $82,468 for the R-Dynamic SE D200 trim of the Discovery Sport.
Land Rover has upgraded its warranty period to 5 years/unlimited kilometres, with 24/7 roadside assistance.
From personal experience, servicing can be a little on the pricey side, especially when it comes to tires, brakes and rotors on these cars.
Land Rover servicing over 5 years/102,00kms will only set you back $1,950, which is far better than what I used to pay.
The brilliant thing about this mild hybrid system was the ability to reduce the strain a normal turbo diesel engine would endure.
I adored just how quiet this motor was, compared to the old 2.0L turbo diesel we had in our 2015 Range Rover Evoque. It certainly helped refine the sound profile, akin to that of a petrol motor rather than the ‘trucky’ sound of a traditional diesel engine.
The 6-speaker audio system was a treat too. Although it’s not an upgraded system, nor is it all that powerful, it did stand out as a premium listening experience. Maybe it was the extra sound deadening you find in cars like this, but the audio system was clear, precise and free of excess distortion.
In an emergency, there is Autonomous Emergency Braking which is great. However, just in case you fail to stop in time for a pedestrian, the Discovery Sport is fitted with an external airbag to help reduce injury - just don’t drive around as if you think being hit by a car still wouldn’t hurt.
It’s certainly not a powerhouse of a motor, but this 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder mild hybrid (such a mouthful) is more than enough for the daily grind and odd getaway.
Producing 150kW at 3750rpm and 430Nm as low as 1,750rpm, it’s clear to see the advantage of having a mild hybrid system fitted.
The claimed 0-100km/h time is 8.9 seconds. For most, this will be more than enough power, but for others it might not provide enough excitement as a family car.
I found the 9 speed to be far more subtle in its decision making process, deciding which gear to be in with more confidence than its predecessors. On very slight occasions there were some mis-shifts in awkward low speed situations, however this was a rare occurrence, even against gearboxes with less gears to move between.
This particular Discovery Sport I had was riding around on a set of 20-inch wheels, which not only looked the part, but also provided an excellent ride.
It’s a comfortable car; uneven bits of tarmac, speed bumps and potholes don’t phase this SUV. Nor should it, as this Discovery Sport is in every way prepared to go a little further off-road where other European SUV’s would have had to stop.
Surprisingly, the mild hybrid system in the Discovery Sport doesn’t have a dramatic impact on reducing fuel consumption figures.
Claimed fuel economy is 5.7L/100km, which can easily head as high as 10L/100km around town.
In the previous generation Discovery Sport, this was the weakest part of that car. It was ultimately the interior that pushed us from liking the Discovery Sport and liking the Evoque instead.
That’s all changed for 2021, as this Discovery Sport’s interior is one of the best interiors I’ve been in this year.
I adored Land Rover’s commitment to upgrading and improving this car. This interior went from feeling boring and soulless to a wonderfully designed one with some added flair.
The flair comes in the form of the upgraded 10 inch central touch screen, adaptive and capacitive controls for the aircon and terrain response modes, and a 12 inch fully digital drivers display.
I especially loved how every button, dial and material you came in contact with in this cabin felt premium to the touch. Made of soft plastics, rubber, leather or aluminum, there’s been a lot of influence from Range Rover put into this cabin.
With all the seats folded, you get a maximum load space of 1651L. It’s not a large SUV level of storage, but it makes plenty of usable space for a family of four, maybe five, to head away on a long road trip.
Compared to an Evoque, there’s a larger storage area, with a more practical load space. This has a higher roof line and more boxy dimensions to make the most of what you have back here.
The second row folds in a 40:20:40 split, allowing four people to travel with even more luggage pushed through the middle, without having to be squished together. Additionally, there was a ‘clear sight’ camera fitted to this Discovery Sport, which allows the driver to see a camera feed out of the back of the car via the rear view mirror.
If you’re looking for a motor to pair with the Discovery Sport, look no further than the D200, as this mild hybrid system certainly brings the diesel engine into 2021 with added power and responsiveness.
It’s comfortable, it’s certainly luxurious, and I felt like it’d make a great companion for long trips if you feel like exploring a little further beyond your own suburb.
Buying used and out of warranty? Make sure you get a thorough mechanical inspection to attempt to avoid any rude surprises.

Vehicle seems defective and Pathetic Customer Service – My 2018 Land Rover Discovery had a Fuel leak and it was confirmed there was a fuel leak which was a result of a split in the fuel return pipe. To remedy this concern, the pipe was removed and replaced, under the bonnet. Prior to this incident there had been an incident of oil leak. I have been trying to get an answer from the Head Office… Read more
regarding the root cause for the split so that the reoccurrence of the issue doesnot happen on a highway which could lead to a disaster.
The Case Manager assigned is ruthless and does reply to the issue once a week, when being asked to escalate this to higher authorities she has been refusing.

Bulletproof and epic off road – Daily driver and weekend adventurer. Goes places that most SUVs can only dream. Comfortable and quick with 240hp. ICE system is meh. Far classier than the US and Japanese competition. Show details
Have fallen in love with this car – We have had this car since new and have now done over 110,000 km. There has not been any mechanical problems to date and a few structural teething problems early on were fixed by the dealer Exceptional mileage on long trips and low cost to maintain. We love our car and kayak hike and travel lots. Show details
I must have got a good one! – I purchased my disco sport new in late 2015 (MY16) and still have it. Done 150,000kms and use it as a family car everyday and been off road a handful of times. I absolutely LOVE this car. There must be a lot of lemons out there but mine has been a dream. I service only at the dealer in Canberra (which I cant complain about). I'm keeping this car long term. To all the sceptics, there are good ones out there! Show details

Most Unreliable car I've ever owned – The car looks great, is comfortable to drive and handles well. The main issue is that I keep getting a "Insufficient Diesel Exhaust Fluid Quality" error, "No more restarts after 800km" countdown. This has happened every 5 months since the car was new. Land Rover claim I over fill or use the wrong Ad Blue but the error happens even with Land Rover… Read more
supplied AdBlue. Land Rover have not been able to fix the issue and it's happened at least five times. I'm now too scared to drive it far from home. The other issue is that the Infotainment System randomly crashes and reboots. Sometime it crashes and just stops working completely. The only way to fix it is to park the car and leave it locked up for 15min so it resets itself. Most unreliable car I've ever owned.
Absolutly appalling quality – had to have towed 4 times in 2.5 years for DPF. Total lemon - customer service at Land Rover head office is more than terrible. Don't waste your money. Show details
Got rid of it – We bought this in 2018 brand new for around 72k with five year servicing and extended warranty . Nice car to drive I am not denying that. However the car was so unreliable it was towed to the dealer three times within the four and half years we owned it. Check engine light would come every five to six months because of engine oil getting dialuted… Read more
which had something to do with adblu. The catalytic converter and the timing belt had to be changed just after three years and the extended warranty came in very handy for this 11k repair. When I made a complaint about this the reply was that the repair didn't cost us so it was ok. Nothing about the inconvenience or the fact that we paid for the extended warranty. We were happier when we got rid of the car in Nov 2022 than when we bought it. We couldn't risk ownning this car beyond the warranty period. There are plenty of reliable cars at this price point but we had to learn it the hard way.

Buy at your peril – I wish I had paid more attention to reviews from owners, rather than reviews from motoring writers – do they really have a clue? I purchased my new HSE 2.2TD in 2017 and I have now done just under 70k – As far as normal cruising goes, it’s ok. Nothing flash, fairly solid, so positive points in that regard. The seat height scores maximum points,… Read more
although it does not hold the position and I am continually having to raise the driver’s seat. Due to Covid I have only used the car for shorter drives, hence the limited mileage. Prior to Covid, I took it on longer drives from Melbourne to Sydney and Canberra, plus extra trips through NSW and rural Victoria. When I purchased the car, nothing was explained to me in regards to the diesel emission fuel (Ad Blue)…if I had known then what I know now, I would not touch a European Diesel!! The salesman also failed to tell me that the car only required servicing every 2 years. It seems car sales are becoming like Supermarkets these days – many functions which used to be part n parcel of the business’s staff, are now being “passed on” to the customer. Supermarket – Self Serve; Car - Annual Car Maintenance – more-so now it’s passed to the owner’s responsibility. I do realise the importance of a car owner maintaining the vehicle, but it seems the car Dealers are abrogating their responsibility, leaving to the purchaser to pick up the cudgels. I haven’t had the joy of experiencing and having to pay for a Service at the Dealer’s yet, but I am sure they are not going to miss me (costwise)!! I am not sure the Dealers really did much of a job as far as the servicing went, as I have had to fill up the Anti-freeze; re-attach the Security cameras; re-set the seats; arrange for the tyres to be rotated elsewhere et al. I shudder to think how much Mr Tilford will charge for the Service when I get to pay for them. I know from experience there are cheaper Service Centres I can take the car to, but one of the reasons that they are cheaper is that they don’t use original parts. I also know that many of these parts are not as good as the originals and problems may ensue!! To date the car has certainly not been trouble free, and unfortunately because some of the faults have been very inconsistent, their repair has been hit and miss: 1: Side mirrors occasionally fail to return to correct position after Reversing; 2: Lag in acceleration is dangerous (probably caused me one collision) and some anxious moments on several other occasions; 3: Front seat continually goes down (albeit gradually), rather than hold it’s position. 4: GPS lacks a lot of detail and is very limited in regards to listings i.e. places of interest etc. 5: Bluetooth continually drops out when on the phone to someone. Does not disconnect at all, just seems to go into a holding pattern for 30 to 45 seconds, then reconnects…Unfortunately the person on the other end thinks the line is lost and hangs up. 6: Emission Control Fluid (Ad Blue). Where does one start with this stuff and the Disco??!! I have had to fore-go 2 opportunities to join friends in a serious trek through to North West Australia, because I just can’t risk it with Ad Blue in this car. If you run out and aren’t within a bull’s roar of a LR Dealer, you are stuffed, as they have to re-calibrate the computer which operates the Ad Blue. Without that re-calibration, your vehicle will not re-start!! How can something like this escape the “eagle eyed” car writers?? You also have to use the Ad Blue sold by LR, as it seems the computer claims anything else is faulty (at least, this is what happened to me and I used 2 bottles (2 litres total) of Penrite, so go figure). The whole tank of Ad Blue had to be flushed out and 16 litres of the LR Ad Blue put in!! 7: Because the Ad Blue tank takes 16 litres, that is 16 litres less diesel the vehicle can take and the supposed 55 litre tank (actually 47 litres is the most I have EVER been able to fit in). This has equated to around 600ks per full tank. Pretty woeful I think.
I have not done much in the way of off-roading (either serious or casual), but the car was fine with what I did do. I am due to replace it soon, but it certainly won’t be with another Land Rover, nor will it be through the same Dealer. Purchased in January 2017 for $72,000.
Resist the temptation - heed the warnings, stay away (unless you're a mechanic) – We use the vehicle as any family would, including the regular long drive to the country. After having 4 issues with DPF early on, the whole drive-train was rebuilt (under warranty). However, issues with the DPF still remain. With a 2 year old and pregnant wife, our discovery sport decides to skip any warning lights and go straight to limp mode,… Read more
in which the only remedy is to take the vehicle to a land rover dealer to be fixed. Annoying as this is for someone in the city, as we are moving to the country, the nearest dealer is over an hour and 100km away - which makes remedying such an issues problematic. Of course, the anxiety this causes to a young family and pregnant mother is significant. Of course, Land Rover seems to think the car is working perfectly.
If you believe a working vehicle needs to be taken to a dealer every 4-6 weeks with engine issues that can only be remedied but visiting said dealer (at the owners cost of course!), then yes, the Discovery Sport is a perfect car, and I would highly recommend it.
Horrible! – Horrible car. Rear brakes went out at 28,000 miles. Vehicle is only two years old. Dealer stated not under warranty even though it’s an electronic issue that only wore out the rear driver break. Cost $1100. So many problems with this car. DO NOT BUY! Show details

A quiet achiever – This is my day use car and after some hesitancy I have grown to love it. It's got all the gismos one needs and it's versatility is delighful. It can transport wine, big dog, shopping and suitcases for a week away, as well as be a 7 seater, a easy to use town car and when called upon something that manages flooded streets. If you need it can also… Read more
get a move on and while not the fastest it can still over take a road train going uphill and outpace anyone you need to. So far (one year from new) not a single fault. I'm beginning to love it.
Car's been kinda OK – So I've read the reviews below and wow - yea scathing!! So we brought a new HSE SD4 in 2015, this was the first year the car was released - we have now done around 90k in the car and it's been actually OK. Car always serviced under warranty by LR either Parramatta or in Alexandria. So the costs for servicing at the genuine locations are very… Read more
expensive the car cost from memory around 86k new. The first 3 services were free so yea these were cheap but number 4 was around 1.3k so after the warranty expired we went to a JR specalised and the price dropped to around $600.
To date the car has certainly not been trouble free, but not as bad as some below........
1> AC failed twice within first 12 months - they took a while to find the AC leak and repair it but it's been fine ever since 2> Buttons on the steering wheel - these de laminated - but lucky this happened just before the warranty expired and was also replaced for free. 3> Nav system played up after warranty expired but it was just a loose SD card that held the maps
For us that's been about it - no issues with rattles or squeaks, car drives perfectly fine. Personally I preferred my SZ Terri as the suspension was a tad softer so a more gentle ride, the Discovery is a tad harsher. Haven't done any real off-roading just a few gravel roads and these it handled fine as expected.
Had the 7 seater back row typically small but fine for kids, the engine was actually not bad, less turbo lag than the Terri and good punch. Never used start stop so can't comment on that but I guess the interior did wear a bit quicker than I expected noting major but for a prestige car you do expect it to hold up better.
They are a good looking car so I'll give them that, reliability for us has been fine - 3 stars mainly due to the cost and value proposition. I'm comfortable to state that we won't but another LR car which is a pity the car is due for replacement probably next year.
Kids are now grown up so I expect the wife now wants a sports car - so yea time to exit the SUV's and move into sports territory.
Update - so now 2024 - after doing a bit of research around 12 months ago I realised the engine in our car is the SD4 - not the newer TD4 which is renowned for failure.
Car has approx 140k on it now we have has the famous gearshift selector failed its very easy to repair brought a new unit from range rover they had it in stock. Cost $1250, literally a 15min job no screws to undo the centre console just pulls up.
I think we got lucky with the engine being the SD4. We'll probably sell it in a couple of years.
Think with your head not with your heart – Having owned and loved our Disco Sports for 4 years we got a warning light (engine still running fine) and went to lower power mode. Stopped driving straight away. Towed to the dealership. Dealership rang and said the had checked and nothing wrong. Wife said you had better be sure. They took it for a test drive and five days later said we need a… Read more
new engine caused by low and thick oil. Oil light didn't even come on until after they took it for a test drive. $32k for new engine.

4000km overdue for a service so extended warranty denied also.
Lemon - Currently at QCAT to have it refunded - it's that bad – We're now nearly a year down the track of trying to return a new Disco Sport after 9 faults in 6000kms. Faults range from gearbox failure and intermittent electronic brake failure to more minor faults such as dropping all of its washer fluid on the ground in our garage. The JLR do not deny any of the faults exist and have not provided any argument… Read more
against the various legal precedents that confirm the threshold of "Major Failure" under ACL are reached. The faults reach this threshold individually, as an aggregation and via the clause "would a reasonable consumer purchase the vehicle knowing the nature and extent of the faults". The dealer (JLR Springwood, QLD) has repeatedly set out to gain advantage in QCAT by breaking the rules. Attempting to have legal representation without applying to do so, and despite having an application to have JLR added as a joinder denied, having an employee of JLR represent them during a hearing again without applying to do so. In mediation (8 months after rejecting the vehicle), they agreed to an undertaking to review the car at our premises to ensure it had not been damaged/modified etc (to value it for internal processes), and assuming all was well (faults aside) they would then provide a letter confirming the process for refund. Whilst they sent the staff member out and the car was as expected, they failed to follow through with the agreed process. JLR have a willingness to use the arduous nature of the process to pursue your rights under ACL (QCAT) to deny customers their right, hoping instead that it is too hard or not financially viable to fight. The protections for consumers needs to change to ensure companies such as JLR are held to account when they deny consumer their rights.
Don't do it!
Material Quality Poor – I'm currently own Land rover Discovery sport 2016 year model with less than 70000km on odometer. And very disappointed with the quality of the parts its made. same parts and made of the same material. As well as the parts quality is poor, the customer relationship team responses not applicable and this matter case raised should not be responded the way it does. Car recently have 3 years warranty expired, however when I purchased it from Land Rover dealer it came with complementary 1 year extended warranty. Car always serviced at Land rover dealership and very good looked after. Few weeks ago I found as on the steering wheel cruise control switch "-" button has peeled off. And i really would like to stress you as this button have no sign of wear ant tear, it clearly sign of poor quality of paint or part or material. I've visited Land rover service centre where part was replaced, however I has been charged for part and labour $313. I'm happy to have a new part installed, however I'm disappointed as the premium car have poor quality parts installed and warranty does not cover it. I've been explained as my warranty does not cover this type of scenarios, but it's not explaining bad quality part installed on the premium car and not replacing it as complimentary or cover by extended warranty for the car which is less than a year out of warranty. Response from the Customer relationship stated as your part is functioning and falls under category wear and tear. This in NOT WEAR and TEAR this is BAD quality part of the premium car.
LEMON !!! land rover should be ashamed !! – i have the great misfortune of buying this piece of junk from brand new , and it has been trouble from the day i drove it out of the lot . rattling noisy motor dangerously lacking power on acceleration constant fault lights long visits to the service department , who is at a loss on how to deal with this rattling tractor stay away from Land rover & this model they both proven totally unhelpful & unreliable Show details

Why I love this car - I have owned 17 cars in my life so far, some cheap and nasty and some expensive luxury cars. I also am a car nut so drive a lot of new cars, test drive new models and get to drive a amazing selection of cars from a fleet of over 150 vehicles. This car has been an absolute joy to drive, does not feel like a clunky 4WD It drives like a car on road and handled Fraser island in remarkable fashion. I did get stuck in sand due to driver error but pulled out thanks to its computing ...
What annoys me - a few rattles that is in every car from factory, the Ditch Finishers (a plastic cover that covers the roof rail channel) kept coming off, navgation would get stuck occassionally ... these were all fixed under warranty and is no longer a problem. Tyres are expensive and the original 19" AT tyres dont really suit 4WD'ing, so I bought a spare set of 17" with off road tyres for when I want to go camping
Safety - Recently my automatic breaking was put to the test when a Kangaroo decided to hop in front of the car while I was driving at 60kmh. The car did an emergency stop but still hit the Kangaroo at probably 10kmh. we all survived and the car did not have any damage.
If you ask me will you buy another Land Rover again ... the answer is Yes ...
What a Lemon of a Car – We bought ours brand new back in 2018 with the new Ingenium 2.0L Diesel engine, and dealer failed to mention that this car needs to be driven once a week on the hwy for the DPF to regenerate properly due to bad engineering design. DPF too far from the engine to heat up on short drives. After 10,000kms service light came on and had to be taken to… Read more
the dealer for a service well below their recommended 25,000km service intervals. Front tyres showed significant wear at the same time but dealer shrugged it off as a wheel alignment issue which they assured me it was fixed. At 15,000 tyre wear at the front was getting worse, dealer blamed it on driving style and round abouts. At 19,000 engine rattle noticed and needed new timing chain at the same time they also replaced front drive shaft bearing. Fuel Economy is also bad, no were near the advertised consumption values.
Positive - prestige and good looking car

This car is slow. It crawls from 0-40km then power kicks in. The electronics in the car are hopeless, there's an impeding doom feeling that all electronics will fail soon. The moon roof is so slow. Cheap plastic trim on lower panels.

showing next to no compassion. Think because they have repaired here there and everywhere under warranty they’ve done us a courtesy. They have supplied hire cars all under their warranty conditions. They have done what they have to only. No sorry we didn’t diagnose this early. My family and I including 2 babies under 3 and a pregnant daughter left with carbon monoxide elevated blood levels. I’ve had been hospitalised for a week with stroke symptons and have peripheral neuropathy which are all linked to carbon monoxide exposure. Our Gp backing it. We have no other products that could release carbon monoxide. We have been complaining of toxic fumes in cabin since May 18. Now due to repairs being carried out before we could get a carbon monoxide emissions test they are now saying we’ve fixed it (replaced leaking turbo) so take your car back. We have asked for old turbo to go back in for testing which they said they’ll do at their cost but now making unreasonable requests before testing that really will make any testing a waste of time. I’m damn angry and absolutely drained after almost 3 years straight dealing with a lemon car. What are the chances? I have to say that I thought Jeep were tough but they did do the right thing in the end albeit at a lesser value but JLR to date are showing a lack of compassion more than anything I expected. I truly hope they do the right thing but so far they are just wiping us with comments about doing the right thing as per their warranty in regard to component replacements. I am going to fully expose them and release all my private medical information while doing so if I do not get a full refund/ replacement and apology/compensation for all of this stressful experience. Sometimes you just have to expose these companies so the public are aware of where they may stand if they find themselves in a similar position to me.
Brilliant car when it works- sadly it doesn't work often enough – not sure I have enough room in the text box- car has upgraded sound system+ TV output rear DVD players for the kids, Tow Bar and Ambient Lighting. Car is 2 years old, done 40K and has visited the dealer at least once every 3rd Month. Problems encountered 1. Ambient internal lighting- not consistent light transmission (problem still… Read more
outstanding JLR acknowledge that there it is not illuminating correctly but says it is consistent with other cars so not a problem in their eyes)
2. Dash screen replaced x2
3. Forward Collision Alert (JLR version) not working correctly
4. Automatic Hi Beams coming on when they are not supposed to and turning off when they are not supposed to (ie trees/road signs etc)
5. auto stop/start technology not operational repaired x6 still doesn't function
6. B Pillar rattles repaired x7 but still rattle post fix
7. numerous console creaks/rattles
8. battery replaced as was faulty and not holding charge
9. battery charge system replaced as found to be faulty
10. ABS system found to be faulty
11. numerous hesitations on acceleration (throttle lag) not repaired considered normal- except for when you think you have enough time to make a turn press the gas and nothing happens, but when it does, oncoming traffic is now too close but your moving and aren't travelling fast enough due to turbo lag to out-run the traffic but also can't stop in time...
12. Turbo not opening correctly- causing engine grind and additional hesitation during acceleration
13. Failed Transfer Case
14. Fuel economy deteriorated by 150% city driving and 100% country within first 12 months of car- considered normal by JLR
15 multiple speaker failures.
Short of it, is that the car looks really nice and would be a great car if it worn't for the constant problems....JLR have no capacity to explain or repair vehicle in a satisfactory manner.
I sourced a licensed independent JLR authorised repairer- We re-tuned the car, eliminated all of the turbo lag and restored fuel economy to within range as prescribed by JLR, boosted the power output and torque which helped. Also eliminated turbo related engine grind. Installed throttle control module to eliminate throttle lag, undertook a soot clean removed the gunk building up in the car- cost 5.5K of my hard earned money.
I have given up on repairing B pillar rattles and auto stop/start-
If there were lemon laws in Australia- I would have driven the car to the dealer given them the keys and asked for my money back!
Rubbish – I have had nothing but grief since purchasing this vehicle - done just over 41k and have had transmission replaced plus a list of other faults still not rectified very disappointing product with very disappointing customer care - the old saying rover reliability - there is now in this company. Great car when running, So many small issues – Very practical design, comfortable to drive. Only if we didn't have all these issues this would have been a great car. We use it on a daily basis, 28K KM's in just under 2 years. Though Discovery Sport claims service every 34K KMS or 2 years whichever is first the information display keeps popping up as Service required. I did do a service… Read more
after 1 year (Which is not covered in the service plan). Just 28,000 KMS and the brake pads are worn out, $1200 to fix them, I have not had this problem in any of my previous cars (Not Land Rover). Initially we were thinking that our next upgrade will be a Discovery, but I am not so sure anymore.
Added: 07 Jan 2019, took my car for a wheel rotation last week (Every 10K). All 4 tires which came by default were chipped and I had to change tires (All of 30,000 Kms). Very rare off-road trips, mainly to scout camp sites. Car was driven mainly in Sydney streets.
Oh no....I've bought a lemon!!! – So we've bought a 2018 Disco Sport TD4 110 HSE - picked it up on 9th August 18, and was back with the deal the very next day....the issue was audible knocking from front LH suspension when driving over uneven road surfaces and speed bumps. get the car back a week later on 16th, and 4 days later, more issues evident. The Deisel fuel filter… Read more
warning light came on "full" - have done around 200km!!! - and this caused engine to lose power and become un-drivable. My wife also noticed rubbing sound from rear left & right wheel arches - upon inspection noticed the wheel arch lining is not properly fixed and is loose. There is also a persisting "squeaking sound" coming from the front suspension / engine bay when the car goes over uneven road surfaces. This is my wife's car and she has now lost all confidence in her new car....looks like I'm going to be in for a stoush with LR to sort this out or get my money back. Shame!
Excellent design, seven seater flexibility – Great driver position, excellent visibility and a stylish looking vehicle. The vehicle is very well balanced on the road and corners efficiently. I love our Discovery Sport - the seven seater configuration is a great option. We have the diesel variant and the AdBlue requirement is a pain but the only negative to an otherwise excellent vehicle driving experience. Show details
