Ozbargain website and based on that, I transferred my internet to Launtel and haven't looked back since.

Launtel aren't the cheapest ISP, however I'm happy to pay a small premium for the level of support they provide as all their support staff are based in Tasmania. A case in point was a recent issue I was having with my internet as it would go down every Friday at 11:00am and would need my OPNSense router to be physically powered off to get the internet back up. Over a period of a few weeks, I was given tremendous support from two of their technical specialists Sophie and Lachie. They provided excellent and thoughtful suggestions on what the issue may have been and provided a plan of how they would resolve the problem. They followed up regularly by email and offered more help if needed. It turned out that a few obscure settings in OPNSense were not configured correctly that caused an issue at midnight Thursday UTC. I believe any other ISP would have provided zero support had my internet service been with them, as they only support (in a very limited way) routers they supply.

I can forgive that as it was communicated. The changing speed tiers I utilise a lot depending on what is coming up. Happens fast and being an online portal it's easy.

Pay the deposit for a dedicated IP as I did. Won't be disappointed. Keep up the great service

Excellent Consistent Speeds and Aussie Customer Service – Consistent speeds, operating at the plan specification of 400/50 and often above 400 megabits for download (common to test at 450 I’ve found) and 50 for upload. Australian customer service based in Tassie that is highly knowledgeable and easy to work with (the CEO/Owner even gets involved on Social Media like Whirlpool!). that even allows you to see the load across Launtel’s network including your POI (point of interconnect) so if a family member ever complains the internet is slow (highly unlikely with Launtel), you can figure out if it’s the network or your devices.

This is the NBN we were originally promised back in the 2000’s! Launtel’s network performance is excellent and the package as a whole is a bargain for what you pay. I can’t recommend them enough!
