Can't beat a Laura Star – This is my second iron from Laura Star, the first one lasted me 20years. Great iron so easy to use, worth every penny. Works well on Doona covers and sheets but also silk shirts. Show details · 1
At last – It’s a great product every that see’s it has serious iron envy. It warms up quickly produces heaps of steam the creases hate it. I have also used it very effectively as a wand over coats etc. Show details
It’s practically perfect – Absolutely loving ironing again. The iron is constructed with high quality and practically. Clothing now looks like it has never been worn before and it perfectly crease free. Added bacterial benefits make it even more worth while. Show details · 1

Good iron, terrible noice (>80db) – The iron itself is a great device, it works well especially on thicker clothing. The device does not work so well on thinner summer clothing as the steam makes the clothing too wet. As a warning, as I did not see this in the review prior to purchasing the device: A very big negative is the noise level, when the pump starts it will make a… Read more
terrible noise > 80db. This happens when the device warms up and regularly during the ironing itself. The sales brochure indicated: "very quiet pomp". Which is of course relative, but miss leading. I have been in contact with LauraStar customer service, they indicated the noise level is normal.
I would not have bought the device if I would have known this upfront.
You can get a cheaper brand or iron would do the same job – LAURASTAR Lift White 2017 Model It's not safe I have been badly burnt by the LAURASTAR Lift and it is cumbersome, despite the replaceable filter the iron still rusted out and started blasting rust all over clothing and also lots of water leaving clothing wet and it puts more wrinkles into the clothes than it gets out. It is a high priced item at… Read more
$600 it started having all the problem just past 2-year warranty. You would be better of just buying a cheaper steam iron and just replacing it yearly to ensure you avoid all the problems of an aging iron.

Leaking water ++++++ – My complaint is the same I use the iron 2 hours week, after five months - there is so much water you can’t physically iron your clothes. The Laura star FAQ says water may be pooling between hot plate and the iron. There is no instructions on how to resolve the issue Don’t waste your money

Great iron, luv it – I enjoy my iron, wish it was hotter than it is at times on full capacity but it gets the job done in the end. It is very gentle on the clothes and the steaming is amazing. Show reply
Even more happy with our 2nd Laurastar – Fabulous for all fabrics, reduces ironing time. Can be noisy. Need to focus due to the steam, however, that’s why effective and great. Perfect for large/wrinkled fabrics. Nifty and light . Show details · 1

Well my original problem is back for the third time – My lift plus is out of original warranty I've had to send it back to Brisbane twice now always for the same problem leaking all over my clothes First time they replaced PARTS as it was in warranty and did not cost me Then it leaked again after a short time so I contacted Anne and boy was she unhelpful I have told them so many times that my steam… Read more
station is a lemon and should have been replaced in the beginning. It was purchased in 31/07/13 and went for repair 01/12/14 under warranty within a short time it was faulty again so I contacted them and was given all sorts of instructions as to how to stop it leaking none of which worked so I just put up with it till I read that the earlier models had problems and I again contacted Laura star this time had to send it back to Brisbane on the 01/02/19 and this time I had to pay $150 to get it back and being on a pension that's a lot of money ,I so disappointed because it's leaking again which tells me my lift + is a definite lemon but they won't help me out So at the end of the day I have a expensive door stop ,I used to sell this product for Harvey Norman but would never recommend this iron to anybody in the future photos are of my clothes unacceptable regards Maree brougham

Quick and easy – So far so good . Have had it only a short time, but loveing its ease in ironing. Still to learn its full capabilities . A lot easier to handle than my old model. Love the fact that you can refill tank with ease and just continue ironing. Show details · 1
This is my third Laura Star iron and this one is the best love it – Laura star left is just awesome it’s nice and light no high steam station to use turns itself off after 10 mins only thing it doesn’t do is the ironing!! Show details · 1
Disappointed with Product – I bought the Lift. The iron drips water so my clothes end up with streaks of water. I am not from Australia. Just sharing my experience. Having read numerous reviews, this water drip is not an isolated case. With the iron costing so much more than an ordinary steam iron, l really wanted to enjoy a new ironing experience but that's not to be. I had the iron returned and bought a Philips. Show details

Saving a lot of time – We run a small boutique hotel and ironing is one of our least liked jobs. We used to argue about who was going to do the ironing. Now everyone is putting their hand up to do it. It’s quick and the quality is amazing. Very happy we bit the bullet and bought one. Show details · 1

Love it! – My iron works amazingly with all fabric types...effortlessly. Amazing results every time Ironing features are perfect, I regularly iron all types of fabric and have not experienced any issues. I slip on the shoe for those extra delicate fabrics. Unit heats up quickly and I love the continuous ironing feature Show details · 2
LOVE IT – Totally in love with it - dont know how i survived up till now. Easy to iron any garment, from delicates to jeans. Wish I had purchased one years ago. I think my next purchase will be the iron & ironing board - image how easy life would be then. Show details · 1
Great when it works – Sadly I have had the product replaced twice under warranty. The first iron did not seem to get hot enough. The second stopped producing steam in less than 12 months of purchasing it Although the staff are helpful it is disappointing that such an expensive product is not more reliable Show details

Poor design – The product falls far short of the cost. - Poor cable retractor ...very flimsy - overheats and trips on regular occasions - sole plate attachment poor design ..keeps falling off - iron hose support flimsy and poor design - iron overheats and is hot to touch When the unit is working it's very good ....but doubt that it is adequately robust for long term use. Perfect! – Love my Laurastar Lift! It works very well with all types of fabrics including silk and lace. It's very gentle on the clothing and does'nt leave any shine. Very satisfied with the steaming capabilities and easy to use. Makes ironing enjoyable. Cannot fault it. Highly recommend it. Should of purchased it years ago! Show details · 1
Great Product – It's a good product for a single guy like me. Would not recommend for family. I'm building my wardrobe so I want something more powerful in the future. Of course it will be LauraStar. It is much better than a conventional Chinese made iron which are complete rubbish. Only problem I want to buy a Karcher Steam Vac and Karcher has powerful iron and ironing board. "Made in Germany ". Excellent steam unit. Love my Laurastar plus – Excellent steam unit. Cuts ironing time by half. Could not use another type of iron..ever again. Ironing with steam is gentler on fabrics and I love the pulse setting. I have kept my original Laurastar in case of emergencies. I love it so much that I now do other people’s ironing and don’t mind at all. Got a great price on sale Show details · 1

Great service – Bought the Lift+ May 2017, the iron start to leak after 6 months. The amount of water that build up in the steam iron just gush out when the button is pressed to iron. Got it service and after 2-3 months, it happen the same thing again. In September now the system start leaking again, so this will be the 3 time back to the service centre. … Read more · 1

Highly recommend this brand to anyone. Service is good, the after sale is excellent.
Binned – When it worked it was great but I had so many problems with it .... Very expensive door stop ... John Lewis had demonstrated when it went wrong customer service was very expensive... Water split when ironing – I am very disappointed with the quality of Laura Star. I use it 2-3 hours per week. You have to think twice when you plan to buy this machine. Really lost confidence for this Swedish product!

Disappointing – This is my second Laura Star iron, my first iron was fantastic, it worked perfectly for 10 years. I was so happy with the product I could not go back to a regular iron after the Laura Star. I bought the Lift +. button with two fingers to get it to work. I don’t iron more than once a fortnight and certainly not a lot of clothes. I’m very surprised that it’s “falling apart” - I’ve only had it for 2 1/2 Years. Very disappointed. Hopefully someone from Laura Star customer service can assist to get this right.

Nice little package but came with problems – A nice little package but when first used, the Lift Plus leaked water everywhere (the unit, not the iron). Took it back to Laurastar who initially insinuated it was something I did wrong, but when they plugged it in, problem reoccurred and they had a wet floor. About a week later it was returned fixed. I would have thought as it was still new,… Read more · 1
they would have replaced it. Next gripe is one person tells us to use the shoe all time, but when I saw it on TVSN, the Laurastar person said only with darks, motifs, etc. Love the iron (and I hate ironing) but still getting use to it as I don't use it that often. Recommend it but customer service was a tad disappointing.
Stains from Iron – This is my second Laurastar Lift and love the ironing result. I purchased this one in April 2017 and it has just started to leave brown stains on clothes. The filter does not need replacing. I am very disappointed and I am constantly having to re-wash clothes. Can you advise a solution please. Show details

Leaking wter – We have had 3 irons in 40 years and this is the worse iron. It has been changed once already for leaking. The iron was purchased in July and we were assured the problem was fixed in the new model. What was a good product is now substandard. Maybe the irons don't have the same quality control they use to. Fantastic, worth every cent – Only just got this system after wanting one for a long time. fantastic and being able to have it stand upright on the floor is amazing. It only took 3 minutes to heat up and I love how the water tank is lit up so you can see level at all times, even though there is a warning light. One thing they don't tell you in the manual is that the first time you fill the tank and turn it on, it almost drains empty, needing you to fill up again. So the first thing I did was grab my husband's heavy and thick workwear to try it out on, because his and my sons work clothes are the real reason I wanted an ironing system to reduce ironing time. I folded the heavy denim pants over together and started to iron up the leg like you see them do in the demo and all sides get ironed at once. Well it didn't go through the layers hardly at all and I have to say I was very disappointed. Until I started again and, using the steam button all the way up the leg, went slowly using steam up and no steam back and THEN...IT...HAPPENED!! After 1 pass up with steam and 1 pass back without steam, all 4 sides were beautifully ironed crease free. This system has reduced my ironing time by at least half. Where I used to iron once a week for about 3 hours it now takes me between 1 to 1 and a half hours. Amazing. I also own a lot of tops with pleats in them and I again copied the demo by folding cuffs of sleeves and shooting bursts of steam up sleeve and it works exactly like you see them do it. I also hung suit jackets up on a rack and steamed the creases out of my husband and sons jackets by using it vertically as per demo and, yes, it really works as shown. Brilliant. The iron is light and easy to manoeuvre. The attachment for the hose holder doesn't fit my ironing board, I suspect Laurastar want you to purchase theirs, which is fine because I actually don't think you need it. All I can say is if you do ironing on any sort of regular basis then a system like this is worth every cent but if you are someone who only pulls the iron out to occasionally use then don't buy. I purchased mine through TVSN on the instalment plan which works for me. The price is pretty much the same as Laurastar direct but cheaper than in the shops like Myer, David Jones etc, so good value. I personally love ironing so finally owning a Laurastar has made me one happy camper. Buy it and you won't regret falling in love with ironing again!
Great iron but the protective coating on the hose started to Frey in one month – I like the way Laurastar irons. It is a great product as you can iron vertical. I was disappointed when the hose started to fray after one month of owning it. Can the rubber hose explode without the protective coating as I can feel the heat from the rubber when ironing. Quality issues – I was seriously thinking of buying one of these machines. Reviews are very disappointing and now have no confidence in product. I wonder if somebody from Laurastar could comment on where quality issues are at today as I don't want to become yet another customer who has to return the machine after purchase! Show details

Not Built To Last – A 4th time Laurastar owner I can't express my disappointment enough. For a product so prestige with capability & output WHY are they built so shabbily. I don't mind paying a significant price for a quality outcome that is second to none. But I expect more than an 18 mth life span purely based on a flimsy product-build. I will always… Read more
maintain that Laurastar sell itself short claiming ironing-time is cut in half.. ironing-time is one-quarter of the time hands-down and perfect pristine professional result every time.
The moment I got this one home the protectant show fell off every time. Melb. Sales Depot confirmed it faulty and promptly replaced the attachment.
Within 1 month the settings-dial broke off never to be used again so it was one speed flat-out or not at all. Now here I am precisely 18 months later and i need to retire the unit. There is visible heat-damage on the actual iron handset. The metal is bubbled and corroded right the way around. Looks dreadful.
Very perplexed with my Laurastar experiences. 2 common themes with every Laurastar model I have owned:
-Very expensive
-Prestige ironing results. excellent.
-100% categorically not built to last.
Very disappointed

Shambles – To say I am disappointed with this Iron is an understatement. I have returned once for repairs which took some 5 weeks and repeated phone calls. I note in the reviews their irons are shorting - mine is has started this process and it is only 18 months old. The steam presser button come away from the iron some 12 months ago. Dreadful product.
