Lavilin Underarm Deodorant Cream

Perhaps the best deodorant I’ve ever used – I tried the sample pack then bought the full tub. Like that it has a small plastic ‘applicator’ to remove it from the tub. One very small amount lasts for days, and doesn’t mark clothes. I have sensitive skin and haven’t experienced any irritation. I expect the tub to last for a very long time - yes it’s small but you only need a small amount and that amount lasts days. I give myself a sniff before bed to know if I need to apply it again after my morning shower! The true test will come in summer but I’m confident it won’t fail me.

Wanted to love it, but not for me – I trialled some sachets and enjoyed that it didn’t leave a milky residue after sweating during workouts like other deodorants have, but it had very little staying power. The owners reached out and suggested I try the foot deodorant as it’s stronger and can help my armpit environment to acclimate to their deodorant a little quicker/easier. I bought the full container thinking a good dose of time using the product may have been necessary to get a better result (ie build the acid mantle of my skin back up after using baking soda type déodorants for so many years) unfortunately I’ve already used the entire pot and still stink by mid morning. The reapplication to avoid smelling has meant I’ve used it up far quicker than designed and I can’t imagine buying another pot at current cost when I’ve run through it so quickly and it wasn’t very effective. I must just be particularly odorous, unfortunately.

I had high hopes for this deodorant, as I was drawn to the concept and the way the product’s benefits are described. The idea of targeting odor at its source sounded promising, and I followed the usage instructions carefully. Unfortunately, despite using the products exactly as described, I was still able to notice armpit odor. This was disappointing given the claims about effectively controlling odor by targeting odor-causing bacteria. While this product may work well for others, based on my experience, it did not deliver the results I was hoping for.

EDIT: updating this review, as Lavilin just issued a refund. Although this product didn't work for me, they have excellent customer service! Doesn't work for me, especially in warm weather. Although the product itself is ok, the marketing strategies are a bit deceptive. last tub of peanut butter from the grocery shop with someone nearby, maybe I would take the home brand one from the bottom shelf. Probably not that extreme but you get my point, it was just something that was always in the back of my mind especially in summer. They say your mobile is always listening, but maybe it is now also smelling! as while I was sitting on the couch scrolling facebook I seen an ad for this Lavilin product with bold claims AND a free trial. It gave a story about being used in WW2 and is now available in Australia, which to be honest I don't believe any of the marketing jargon, but I thought, let me just see if this is actually free and at least give it a try.

Clicking through the ad for the free sample, they do try and upsell you on some other samples for only like $1 or $2 dollars but I didn't want to give them my card details that easily so I didn't accept any of the offers besides the free sample, which to their credit ended up being completely free, no catch. About a week later this tiny little packet of cream arrived with some instructions on how to use it and to be honest I was blown away. and I am a hard core sceptic of internet marketing companies so I wasn't expecting anything.

You apply once under your arms after a shower and for about 4-5 days there was literally no smell. It may have lasted longer than that but I still had some sample left so I didn't want to wait to find out! My wife probably got sick of me putting my armpits in her face saying... 'can you smell anything?', but I sure didn't! As I said, I was a sceptic, I had zero expectations but this is hands down my best 'life hack' discovery recently! I have since ordered the full tub which is about $37 delivered and is expected to last a year. Even if it lasts half that time I will be happy.

If my local Netball club will take an overweight 30+ year old male as their new goal defence I now have the confidence to get my pits in all the faces!

Jokes aside, great product, highly recommend at least trying it.

nothing seem to work, I had to use this product everyday otherwise I would smell, it took me about a month or a month and a half and I used the entire thing and it still never worked as they claimed. I really gave it a fair go. And as a deoderant you have to apply everyday it is just not financially viable as it is significantly higher in price compared to anything else on the market. I had tried communicating all this to customer service but never got a response.... They even had sent another one of those emails asking for a review and I responded saying that I told you about my experience and you ignored me, someone responded but all they suggested was to try using the foot cream for underarms instead... But no way was I going to spend more money. I ended up getting a natural deoderants with no bicarb that I've been happy with instead.

while ago, but was too scared to try them when I had activities on, incase it didn’t work. So I waited until after Christmas when I was just pottering around at home. The first application only lasted a few hours, but I had read that there was an adjustment period. I also used way too much, so I wasted quite a bit. The second application lasted 24 hours. I only used a tiny amount, and I even did some painting around the house and was climbing up and down a ladder. By the 3rd application i was confident enough to venture out of the house, and despite champagne-induced-overheating I remained BO free. I’m now on day 2 and still smell fresh. I don’t think this cream will ever last 7 days for me, but I’m ok with that. I’d be more than happy with 24 hours from each application, but I think it may end up being about 2-3 days. I’m ordering a tub as soon as I finish writing this review.

using it, its been over 5 months and we have not used hardly anything. if you go to www.lavilin.com.au and get a sample first just to try which is what i did each little sample last for 1 month. its worth a try plus in the long run you are saving money not buying spray or roll on deodorant

I have been using it for almost 5 years, winter and summer, and I love it. In summer on hot days I need to reapply after about 4 days, and that’s just to be safe as it’s rare for the stink to reappear. the environment as one tub lasts me a year! I wish it would work for everyone else so we could reduce harmful chemicals and wasteful packaging. Full disclosure: I don’t do heavy workouts, but I am menopausal and that includes those pesky hot flushes and night sweats, which remain stink-free thanks to this product. Give it a try! company via their website but received no reply. What a scam with disinformation and then not even replying. Very disappointing and if you are looking for a good deodorant please do yourself a favor and get the original blue one from the original supplier (blue) and not this fake one.

Product is not the same – I have used lavalin underarm/ body cream for over 40 years and I loved it, however the last 2 times I purchased the product it has not worked. I am thinking that the ingredients have changed and it is not like it used to be. The box is different as well. Show details

Definitely not 7 days – This doesn't work as advertised and not all that well as a general daily use deodorant. I've been using this for a little over 3 weeks now and have had to apply it more than I would my previous deodorants/antiperspirants. Stinker be gone – Sweating... so I'm a bit of a pro. But smelling like a wet dog after a swim? Not a chance, thanks to Lavilin. It still allows my body to sweat freely, but it keeps me from smelling like a science experiment gone wrong. Not made in Australia – Received my sample and so excited to try this product. Applied as per instructions and unfortunately had a reaction with arm pits stinging and bright red. However, it did stop the stink. I support Australian made and thought this product was made in Australia, which it is not. showering for a week while away on a boat. I wore merino clothing so did not develop a smell and applied Lavilin daily. It must have allowed my skin to reach equilibrium because since then I have been odour free!

the info about ph levels etc and persevered for a week, and still no luck. I switched to the sport pot I had got for my daughter and tried another week to no avail. I noticed it definitely is not working as well for my daughter as the trial pack did either.

Gutted it hasn't worked for us especially as it is not the cheapest. I love the idea of it and can see it clearly works for others, just doesn't appear to be the right fit for us.
