The whole experience has been a nightmare. Purchased 27 June, delivered 17 July Within 2 weeks the fridge completely failed → DH/F error codes 28 July contacted LG → 1 Aug & 12 Aug two repair attempts Both repairs failed → same fault came back each time
18 Aug LG promised a replacement
5 Sept still NO replacement
This fridge is completely useless:
No water comes out
No ice is produced
Fridge section has no cooling at all
Freezer stopped working, everything defrosted and spoiled
LG’s customer service is a disgrace. They waste time with excuses, give out wrong information, and keep forcing pointless repairs instead of owning up to their faulty product.
How can a brand-new fridge break in under 2 weeks, and then more than 6 weeks later still no replacement? Meanwhile, I’ve had to live without a working fridge, throw away spoiled food, and deal with endless stress chasing them up.
This is by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in Australia. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration – DO NOT buy LG appliances.

WARNING - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPLACE THE AIR FILTER – At 12 Months old, I tried to replace the sir filter in the back of the frigde, I was unable to get it to move in the direction indicated, I reviewed a youtube and found I was doing it correct but maybe needed more force, In doing this the paper thin plastic clips broke, A call to LG support, actually 4 of them before I was called back resulted in a statement of under consumer law this is deemed a user fault and is not covered. WARNING - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPLACE THE AIR FILTER.

OK fridge with terrible warranty service – While the fridge itself is ok the this is more about a warranty issue of the fridge on the ice maker (no surprise there) and LG's customer service. The craft ice maker has a motorised metal bar that stirs the craft ice but ours has failed so when there is a build up of ice you can no longer pull the draw out hence the manual removal of ice before we can remove the ice container to get said ice. When I called to lodge a warranty repair and supplying pictures, serial numbers and copies of the purchase receipt that was supplied to us on the JB HiFi portal this is apparently not acceptable. After two hours of going through all of this process and speaking to JB HiFi LG still refuse to accept the purchase agreement and receipt as proof of purchase.
So it's a great fridge and now I have to spend more money on a $4300 fridge to get a service call out from LG as they don't accept electronic receipts as a form of proof of purchase while it's still inside of the 12 month warranty.
Purchased in for $4,300.

Ice maker not working since new – [Update Day 10] Fridge repairer apparently "going to contact me", but no callback yet. Turned out that putting in a few more vents in the kitchen fridge cavity and a power reset fixed the issue (not sure which one caused issue). Upped the stars to 4. Glad I fixed it, else would still be waiting. [Day 5] Looks great, good size, fridge/freezer work well, but fridge door ice maker doesn't work since new. Craft ice and water work fine? Had to push ice maker reset button to get it to fill up with water. Still won't freeze. Requested a replacement, but have received a service agent booking instead. See how it goes I guess? Will update once more known.

Stylish NextGen Fridge – Schmick!! Quite a stylish appliance and feature rich. We have traditionally been a Fisher & Paykel family and we deviated from the norm and so far so good. Only downside is that the freezer space is a little smaller than what we are used to but still happy
