Was working well for nearly two years! – We have this fridge also, worked well since installation. Then we had the IF E fault (icemaker fan error according to google). Logged the fault with LG, and eventually got a call from their service agent, and had them come out and replace the fan assembly. 5 minutes after he left, the fridge displayed a different code, It E, which means icemaker fault (the in door icemaker is not making any ice, the ball maker in the freezer is working though). I contacted the service agent again and they said they would call when they have the replacement part to book a day, but haven't heard from them for several weeks now!
Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $4,799.

Decided to try LG for a Third Time; BIG MISTAKE, HUGE! – Having two LG products previously (with issues I might add), you would have thought, once bitten, twice shy. Sadly not! Our previous Westinghouse fridge gave us eighteen years of trouble free usage within our large extended family before finally moving on. The choice we were considering between was the larger similar sized (to the LG) Samsung fridge with tablet in door and the LG I'm reviewing today.
We have just ticked over three months and the inevitable finally happened; the fan motor has ceased working. My wife spent 25 minutes trying to communicate to a foreign call centre where the Team Member was essentially reading from a script. Given it is ANZAC day (Tuesday 25th April 2023) tomorrow, we will not see an Authorised Repairer until Friday. Even then, we don't know what time until we receive a phone call on the morning of Friday the 28th of April. HOW INCONVENIENT!
The fridge in itself is still working; it is the water and ice production that has ceased to work. A little Google search reveals that this is a common issue which begs the question, why has LG not fixed this problem? LG even had the nerve to say on the phone, should this not be the issue, there would be a fee charged. Sorry LG, as you can see on the photo from the LG app, the fridge diagnosed this issue.
Given the last LG product (harddrive recorder)we had, submitted to warranty around the six month mark and then conveniently, the day after the year warranty ended, in which LG were like "sorry, we cannot help you" (prior to ACL), we will subscribe to the opinion "Life's Better without LG in ours".
Stay away from this fridge; it's simply not worth the hassle!
EDIT 25/4/23: Just had a phone call from the LG Service Team saying that they will not be out Friday (after my wife has taken time off to have the fridge serviced) and will be out sometime in May; no time frame given. VERY POOR FORM!
