Outdoor PCB failed. Seems common with LG Air Cons – Inside unit wouldn’t talk to outdoor unit, paid hundreds to be told the motherboard needs replacing. Connected LG and was told it would cost $500. What a rip off me can see it’s a common problem with LG units. LG should be subsiding the replacements not profiteering from their own faults. Show details

You have been warned – I got this ac for my bedroom, and have had problems with it every year. I am fed up! When on hot air the ac stops working and starts blinking after working for 10 minutes, now in the summer water started dripping on the inside, I can't use the unit can blow air up and down due to the constant noise it will make because some small plastic thing… Read more

broke on the grill and cannot replaced! No one is able to fix this ac, more problems keep appearing! My cheap ac's that are not of any known brand in the other rooms work perfectly and I've had them for the same amount of time! You have been warned, don't buy LG ac units!!!!!!!!! This is the most expensive ac I bought and its the worst one

LG Art Cool is not cool at all! – I am so sad that this unit can't heat in the winter without the condenser turning into a block of ice. Tech support thought it was a defrost problem and had the service guy move up the thermistors but that only worked for a couple of weeks and we were back to a block of ice. I have gone around in circles with the vendor and have left messages for… Read more

the LG rep but no reply. It was installed in the fall of 2016. We have spent two winters now with intermittent heat and are paying out of pocket for service calls. I will never buy LG again!

Does not last - stay away!!! – The unit was working fine for 5 years, however, stopped working just a few months after the warranty expired. We didn't even use it much, occasional heating during winter and cooling during hot days during summer. Repair cost were quoted at more than $2000, just a little less than the original cost. I will not go for looks again, neither for LG.  Show details

Junk - avoid LG at all costs – I just logged in to warn others - don't ever buy an LG. This thing only worked when the temperature was <30*C and even then it was blowing air. Above that it would shutdown. I tried everything to fix it over 2 years. The other LG things that came with the apartment - dishwasher, washing machine. Both broke down outside of warranty. Total rubbish from this company. I ended up getting a Daikin and so far so good.

LG rubbish – Don't buy an LG air conditioner, was ok for 4 years then was broken down all the time. Once the warranty ran out I spent a further $1500.00 on repairs over the next six months. Its now on the tip where it belongs, just rubbish. Beware buy another brand it will be cheaper in the long run. Looked good Poorly made, unreliable

Art is the only real word – It worked for one summer. The second summer started okay and then it stopped but gave us an error code C9 which we then had the motor, inside motherboard, and outside motherboard replaced. However, for the last two years it has sat on our wall as a decoration because no one can figure out how to fix it. buy a less artistic unit, save money, and… Read more

Excellent – Great air conditioner. The price pretty good. The 2 units we have run all day during summer (North Queensland) without an issue. They work quickly and and quietly. The inverter must be good as our power bills are lower than other people we know with regular splits. Great looking, works well. Everyone notices them. Easy to clean. Quiet The… Read more

control board died in then larger unit after a year but was replaced under warranty (5 years!). We had 2 "premium" brand air cons in a rental that both suffered the same issue.

LG Artcool; not so cool :-( – I have had my LG Artcool A/C for 5 1/2 years. I never had any problems with the unit until the 5 year warranty had expired, and then it just stopped working. The indoor unit works for a few minutes then displays an error code. I was told that it was the PCB; $800 to repair by one repairer and another repairer had no idea! We've decided to… Read more

just use a heater or a fan instead! Stylish, modern, low cost to run. Poorly made. Product should not 'die' after 5 years. Expensive to buy, expensive to repair. Hard to find information regarding error codes. Hard to find a licenced repairer who actually kows what they are talking about!
