LG CX Series Questions

I purchased a the LGCX in April 2021. Recently the TV has begun to emits a high pitch sound, and then the screen goes blank. After some tech help I shut the TV off and the screen did come back on of it has happened a number of times in the last week. Is this a frequent occurrence with this model and how do I resolve it?

Go back to the retailer. They are responsible if it's still under warranty. Lg will help but want to charge for it.

I have different lip sync problems. When I change from FTA to netflix for example, I have to adjust lip sync, the again if I leave netflix. If i use a cheap PC speakers plugged into the headphone jack, it's ok. So what is the fix ? Any help welcome

There is a lip sync function inside the audio settings. It's a bit clunky and is just a matter of finding the + or - setting that works. Go to 'Settings', then 'All Settings' then 'Additional Settings' then 'AV Sound' then 'AV Sync Adjustment'

What is the best sound system to buy with tv please

Hi Glen, have a look at Sonos systems. I paired the LG OLED TV with Arc Soundbar, sub and 2 Sonos One SLs as surround/rear speakers, Bit pricey but you won’t be disappointed. Soundbar connects to eArc port on the TV to give Dolby Atmos surround sound, the best there is (according to most reviews) Extremely easy to setup and all works wirelessly.

Can you display art/photos when not in use?

yes, you can. However, if you intend to use it for the long-term, use it as it is meant to be - for watching TV, Movie and etc. Don't add an unnecessary burden on-screen panel as it wears out quicker.

I watch a lot of old movies and old English drama shows. I have been really pleased with the reviews regarding this TV however, I was concerned at one of the reviews which seemed to indicate that the sound in these old shows is of poor quality on this TV. Is this the case please as a lot of television I watch as I said is old movies and English drama/police programs. Thank you in advance. Mags
