Has anyone been able to resolve the difference in volume levels between normal free-to-air TV and Netflix. There is no problem when using the internal speakers, however, if you use a soundbar or external AV amp for your audio via the ARC in HDMI2, the Netfflix volume is a good 5-6dB louder. This requires constant changing of the volume control every time you change from Netflix to normal TV. Very annoying.

Hi Tony, I have the same TV in 65" but I don't think I have paid attention to that. I use soundbar and swap inputs between Foxtel; Netflix; Optus Sports; Amazon Prime; Disney+; and Free to Air TV (very rare) in that order. Yes I adjust volume but I thought it depended on the program source I'm watching. Perhaps because I never use internal built speakers to notice the difference. Now that you are mentioning it, I will probably pay attention. Did you check with LG? But sounds like the issue may be to do with the source or the soundbar itself, rather than the TV?

Hi MS, thanks for your reply. As you don’t use the free to air TV very often it wouldn’t be such an issue, but I do quite a bit and it drives me mad as the TV is fantastic in all other respects. The optical output has the same issue, however, the analog audio out has the audio balance corrected as it is from the same source as the internal speakers. I thought of using this for the feed to my AV amp but discovered the CEC control doesn’t turn the amp on and off as it does when using the ARC so I’m back to using the ARC and flipping the volume up and down when I change inputs. I spoke to someone recently with the same TV and they have the same problem. He said every time he flicks over to Netflix his wife jumps in fright with the sudden volume increase.

Jb hi Fi? Woden act

Thank you, I just called them, they have no more, but thank you I hadn't tried the JB hi fi in Woden yet. So upsetting when these were on the shelves 2 weeks ago, and can't find not one, distance isn't an issue, the issue is finding one C9 out there, LG said they're not able to assist me unless the store orders it from them, and the stores aren't willing to go that step further if they have none in stock. I've emailed LG and spoke with them for hours, they say they'll get back to me and don't, it would be decent if LG at least tell me a store they can send one to.

How can I watch a programme and concurrently record to a USB? If that’s not possible what Is the easiest solution to allow this? Do I need to buy a dvr?

Why does the HDMI4 input Not work? 1 to 3 work OK.

Not sure mate. Have a look through the TVs manual

Not sure... I think I use the first 2 only. You must have lots of inputs to use up to 4? Check with LG O guess.

This is a question to LG who monitor this page. I’ve just bought a C9 but it doesn’t have 7plus or 10play. Can you please advise when these will be available? We do not have aerial so unable to access Freeview and rely on the free to air apps. Very disappointed about this. It seems a bit outdated that LG do not supply these apps as standard.

Otherwise it’s an awesome TV and so far we are finding that it lives up to the hype! Thanks.

I’m considering a lg c9 65”, all shops have them advertised at $3399 or so. Has any body picked one up cheaper than this ? Sales people tell me there is new models coming out, so you would think they would be keen to clear old stock....

Sale on at the moment ends Monday I think, this was in a Victorian store. $2895

Does anyone know if there was a solution found to Hoffman H’s issue with fast motion sport, as per his post?

Blurry image while watching sport published 2 weeks ago TV seems good except when I am watching fast ball movement sports. For example when watching cricket in HD or 4k the ball looks blurry or jittery when moving across the screen.

I have EXACTLY the same issue with this screen and would love for someone to tell me how to alleviate this problem. My old ALDI LED was perfectly smooth, so surely this premium screen that costs 5 times more should be perfect?

Haven’t noticed this. What motion processing settings are you using, eg “clear” or “smooth” or nothing?

I’ve tried everything! Smooth, clear, every variation of custom. It’s seriously doing my head in!

I haven’t noticed this on mine. Motion across the screen is very smooth, particularly with the recent tennis I’ve been watching.

Hi, had this issue while watching cricket on Kayo the other day.. (Ball flickering in and out somewhat jaggered across the screen) I ended up setting mine to Cinema Home. Basically you want everything off.. AI Pic - Off. Colour Gamut set to Extended (Normally i use wide but found Extended seemed a little clearer) and turn all other options OFF.

I found AI Pic, Real Cinema, Smooth Gradation & Tru motion seem to be the main offenders for it. Make sure you check all the sub menus and ensure you don't miss an option hidden away.

If that improves / helps you can look at turning some features back on one at a time and see if any improvement.

Hope that might help.. dunno if it'll apply to Foxtel but it sounds extremely similar to watching cricket through Kayo.

Thanks for the tips - I’ll certainly be giving them a try! Your description of the ball is exactly what’s happening - it’s almost like it has flapping wings
