LG UJ654T Series Questions & Answers
Verifiedwe cannot download the paramount plus app on our LG WEB OS UJ654T any suggestions to fix ?
I'm not sure why, I have Paramount on mine, i downloaded the app about 2months ago. Maybe try clear cookies? You can always try YouTube videos or Google search might help figuring it out.
Is it Freeview compatible
Yes I believe so.... I use freeview on mine.
My LG UJ654T TV will not connect to the Internet. It also freezes then resets continually. Can watch Netflix and other streaming services using Telstra TV but not just through the TV. Finally gave up and have used cheap Hisense TV instead. This accesses Internet and works perfectly. Has anyone else had this problem??…..Sadly, TV was not cheap and has been a waste of money.
Hi, How do I organise to get a spare part? Im missing the connector that attaches the TV to the stand.
How easy is it to access sleep timer? Or should I say how hard?
It's really easy. You just press the button for voice commands then say "set sleep timer for (insert length of time)" and it does it. To cancel it, you press the voice command button and say "cancel sleep timer."
Thank you sounds good
Does someone on here have spare parts I can buy off them For....... LG 60UJ654T THANK YOU PREFERABLY with the front screen in excellent condition?
Is 7Plus supported on my TV
No, not on LG TV's. You can mirror the 7Plus app from your phone to the TV but the buffer rate is on the slow side.
Agree with Shae it is not supported. And I think it's the 7plus app that does the slow cast as most stuff for me mirrors great except this app
I run 7plus and Foxtel Now from Telstra TV box all good
I have read a review that states that this TV is unable to recognize a wireless headphone set, is this true
Usb RECORDING provision in LG60UJ654T model yes or no?
two points, can you record one programme and watch another?

I think if you load the FreeView Plus service you can record 1 and watch another.
Not sure what 'Picture in Picture' means.
Hi Cam. After going through all the settings I could find, in an effort to watch TV whilst using an HDMI source, I could not find any picture-in-picture feature.
How do I turn on the ultra deep colour option? It doesnt allow me to select it

What is the difference between model LG 55UJ654T and model LG 55UJ634T?
Leo, I rang LG to ask the exact same question which they couldn’t find specs for the 634. When I contacted a store that sold both tvs he said they are exactly the same but for one thing. The 654 frame and stand is metallic silver and the 634 is black. Cheers, Brett.
Leo, Brett is right, but also the 634 has 3 hdmi ports where as the 654 has 4.
I too have been struggling to find the difference between the two. Harvey Norman told me the 634 is a event model. I noticed on its specs that it's about 20mm more in depth then the 654. It seems to me the 634 is a more outdated unit
I recently found that the difference between the two is the LED back lighting and dimming function. The 634 has direct lit technology which is older technology but can make for better blacks (contrast) which the 654 edge lighting will struggle with. But what will most likely make the 634 of lesser quality during dark scenes would be that it doesn't mention to include local dimming ( from specs I've read into) so there might be the chance of the halo effect in dark scenes. The edge lit 654 does have local dimming. The 634 being the backlit technology is also the reason for the extra 20mm or so in depth. I would say the 654 is the better model. Sales person told me event models are made before big sale times eg Christmas in this case but they didn't LG didn't get it out in time. Make a cheap TV and sell it cheap while everyone's buying lots. Now there left with a influx and trying to get rid of them. Made sense to me and explains why the 634 isnt on the LG website and there customer support have no knowledge of it. Rang them yesterday for the same question and after waiting a extended period they said they'll get tech to look into it and call me back. Haven't heard back from them. Hopes this helps
Thankyou very much for all the info it has helped with my complaint regarding my purchase.
Can the UJ654T have a clock display on the screen?
Press Guide on the remote and the current time is shown in the top left corner of all the programs showing in each TV channel
LG 49" UJ654T 4K Ultra HD LED LCD Smart TV
Just a quick question, does anyone know if this TV will allow installation of .APK files/apps, such as ShowBox? Thank you
No. This TV does not run on Android OS. Uses WebOS and while both based around Linux won't support apks.
I'm chasing opinions on darker scenes most noticeable with credits as I own this TV and am having issues with LG. any one else have a lighter column vertical from top to bottom inline with credits (my profile picture is an example as 15/6/17) LG tells me this is normal but I've never seen a TV do this before and is noticeable while watching movies too, would love to hear if anyone else has this "normal" feature too?
No, Did not face this problem yet. Probably the screen is gone. check with LG because this may gradually increase.
I have exactly the same issue here but my model is 55UJ654V
Hi there, it sounds like the "local dimming" feature is turned on which causes this effect. Try turning it off in picture options and see if that makes a difference. Also, my picture settings are: isf expert dark room
backlight 55
contrast 90
brightness 55
h&v sharpness 10
colour 50
tint 0
everything in expert controls and picture setting turned off except for real cinema.
warm 1
black level low
colour gamut auto
gamma 2.2
real cinema On
Does this TV come with or are you able to download and watch ABC Iview and SBS on Demand?
The last smart TV I bought I was unable to watch these two apps so I was able to get a refund.
I need to make sure this one is compatible with my two favourite apps first this time.
I don't use those apps, so I suggest you go to your local appliances store to see if those apps work on a tv they have on show
If you press the RECENTS button ( on the magic remote) and go to the LG content Store , you can search for the IVIEW and SBS apps, download them.
Hi yes it comes with it you need to have it on that channel sbs or abc then press green button then it comes up you can use catch-up you may get 7plus and others denpending on your location
Thank you all very much for your answers, much appreciated. I will never buy an online NOT one of the major brands again. I was so lucky to receive a refund and I thank Tandy/DickSmith very much for that.
Turn off LED local dimming, boom, no more vertical dark patches.
