LG WTG6532W / WTG7532W / WTG8532WH / WTG9532WH / WTG9532VH Questions & Answers
VerifiedHas the wtg7532 got a lint filter
is the machine still under warranty it says 10 years.
my machine has stopped working and i can not open the lid it shows cl on the controls
What does it mean when it beeps and says PE? I've cleaned filters and it won't turn on
The soft close hinge on my washer has snapped at the plastic housing and now it won't soft close (it slams shut). It seems to be due to the soft closing spring over stressing the plastic housing, which I would have thought would be a manufacturing issue, but the warranty assessment says it's not covered. Has anyone else had the same issue?
my diamond drum washer will only pump water out will not fill to start washing
I empty my lint filters and scrub every second wash. My machine is kept clean but I have this "mouldy" smell coming from the machine now. (I do leave lid open to dry after washing) Are there others filters that I have to clean out to get rid of this smell!!!
Have you done a bowl clean. Try using a dishwasher cube in your hot wash tub cycle. That’s what was advised to me.
Usually tub clean icon flashes on screen every so many washes. Purchase small bottle from supermarket and run tub clean cycle
How do I lift the lid when machine has stayed locked when finished?
Check to see if the child lock has been switched on.
Hi my machine is making a very loud noise when spinning
Hi. Is it out of balance or do you think it is something to do with the motor. Is there any error messages
Where is the lint filter, how do I access it and how do l clean it.
There is not one. It self cleans. The only one that the person who came service my machine looked at it under the central barrel. I think he looked at it under the machine. You can disconnect the plug under neath but then he said it often then leeks if it’s not put back in correctly
Thank you. We are currently trying a "cleaning cycle as suggested by another user. We'll see if that overcomes the problem we have.
Hi Barry L We have the some problem, we clean the little lint filters inside the tub twice a week now and still lint on our clean laundry all the time. Have you found a solution to this design defect ? It’s such a shame the the LG is so easy to operate and most things come out not tangled.
I have ascertained that there isn't a lint filter on this model.
There is a way to remove the drum agitator to give it a thorough cleaning, but I would only recommend this if it’s extremely dirty. Here’s a link for a similar model. I’m about to attempt this as my drain pump blocked up and burnt out due to some nails going through the wash. So I want to make sure there aren’t any more that can kill the new pump. I’ll follow up here if I’m successful.

2nd link is better for removing the agitator, but the 1st one shows the inside of the drum.
Where is the lint filter, how do I access it and how do I clean it?
Angry and frustrated. I have same problem as Cranky Customer-in reviews -have done all that is mentioned - would like to know how to fix this problem.
You will get an automated answer from LG saying that they want to help. But they don’t follow through. I’ve had a repairer out curtesy of LG and have never heard back. Don’t hold your breath
Time to save for a new washing machine-I think-certainly won’t be this brand.
How long should my LG washing machine WTG6532W last
How can i open the lid on a too loader LG 7-5 kg
Does this model have a lint filter and if so where is it located?
Not sure if the same but my WM doesn't have normal lint filter. It's at the back down the bottom of the machine. Pain in the bum to get to therefore doesn't get cleaned as often as it should.
I would like to do a cold-only wash and thought that I had programmed it, but it ended up using hot water. It was on the Cotton programme. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to programme only the cold? I would rather not disconnect the hot, because sometimes it is needed....many thanks!
Hi Nicole Mine automatically does cold wash unless I programme it for hot or warm. Are you sure you didn't just press hot by mistake?
Hi Rhonda, thank-you for replying. The water level began with hot, then we pressed cold deliberately, and it lit up until we pressed the Cotton programme - then the water lights went out. Any further ideas would be welcome!!
Wrong hose Happened to me Was done by the Good Guys free installation Hot hose was on the cold tap Cold hose on the Hot tap
Can you take the lint covers off a 8.5 turbo drum washer to clean them, I have taken the lint filters out but cannot get the covers off, Thanks if you can help, Regards Tony.
Where did you even find the lint filters, I as well as many people posting can't find them at all!
How do you open the cover on the lint catcher?
Cant get hot water to clean the tub. LG not helpful, I think the installers have the inlet hoses connected wrong. HELP!!
Hi we have the LG WTG8532WH machine, the amount of lint on our washing is ridiculous, this is the worst washing machine we have bought, we have cleaned the inlet filters and the lower drain plug filter, which is being done weekly, we do the tub clean monthly but nothing is working, we are still getting lint on our washing, the washing machine has on it filter free symbol, how do clean this washing machine out and stop the lint covering our washing, not a happy LG customer, maybe consumer affairs can help us as the washing machine isn’t performing correctly, NOT HAPPY LG IN YOUR PRODUCT
Looks like alot of people with this 8.5kg model are reporting a lint problem. I guess it is not scrud (which is caused by soap powder build up with cold washes). Scrud can get on clothes. I always warm wash to prevent scrud. If it is lint then I guess if the machine is not working in this dept. Only way is to wash lint type items together e.g. towels and other items separately. I have had a terrible run with several LG WTG7532W (7.5kg). No lint problem but repeat DE faults on lid caused by either the magnets or hinges. No help at all from LG. call centre.. They do not care about their customers or faulty products at all.
