Excellent service & very good mattress
Mattress King SingleAfter having Macoda recommended by an acquaintance, I ordered a King Single. The ordering process was seamless & communication great. Both my mattress & pillow were delivered in good time. I flipped the top insert for the extra comfort & overall found the mattress to be comfortable & supportive. The backache I usually had on waking soon disappeared. My neck pain also. Unfortunately I have very sensitive hips & found they were starting to get achey. The team at Macoda were incredibly helpful with their suggestions, even supplying an extra insert

Good quality but just too soft for me
Mattress QueenIf you’re looking for a cloud-like super soft mattress then this would be worth trying out. Unfortunately for me it was just too soft and so I ended up returning it. The mattress layers are able to be taken out and rearranged with the intent that you can adjust the firmness yourself, but honestly I changed it to every combination possible and could feel no difference. ... Read moret, but I got the mattress after a couple of days delay - so no big deal in the end. When it came to sending it back within the 100 night timeframe the returns process was super easy. Macoda were very responsive via email for all questions and requests. I got a full refund soon after the charity came and collected the mattress. I have no regrets whatsoever with the purchase it was worth a shot, just a shame it wasn’t for me.

Comfy, soft, all positions friendly. Very happy with this mattress. Possibly the only mattress in a box that actually feels soft.
If you are 80-90kg and under and prefer a soft and cloudy feel to relieve pressure - give the Macoda a go.
From the concrete Koala mattress, trying the Emma Diamond topper to fix the Koala, then to the Macoda, it's like going from Hell to the Heavens. The difference is incredible.
I recommend this mattress if you are 50-55kg and under and looking for plush softness.

Mattress KingEdit: coincidence? After posting this review, Macoda contacted me the next day to ask where to send a firmer topper mattress. Received the much firmer topper and it has made a huge difference. Happy with the outcome even though it took excessive time to resolve.
Purchased 2 and half years ago. Happy with both mattress and pillows. We noticed a couple of months ago we had sore backs in the morning. The inserts were on the firm side as suggested, but were starting to get soft and sag. Contacted Macoda for advice. Was asked to show pics of sag so

Mattress QueenWe purchased the mocoda matress after having a full memory foam for 7-8 years. We found the memory foam was a little on the hot side, difficult to turn (I had a damaged rib which was the turning point) over even after getting used to it. We are thrilled with the mocoda - soft yet firm at the same time, cooler, no problems in turning. Super comfortable. I also got a pillow which is amazing, again cool and a memory foam feeling but somehow softer and dont feel like you have sunk in to it. the matress didnt smell like the memory foam did when it was unpacked. Five stars - the only slight downside is that the partner disturbance is not quite as good as the memory foam but still very good and giant leap forward over the previous sprung mattress

Really good mattress, awfully heavy though
Mattress Queen*EDIT - I've noticed I've started getting a sore back lying on this mattress after 2 months. I'll be putting it back and the hunt is on for my perfect mattress.
I really like this mattress. It's soft and supportive and doesn't sag when you sit on the edge; it does seem to sag where you lay on it. I like the fact you can make it softer or more firm by flipping the top. I like the look of it, it looks really expensive. I don't like that it's 50kg, it makes harsh to rotate it on your own and it will be difficult to move when I move house. I'm not sure it's worth the $1100 I paid for it. Will have to have a think and research to see if there's anything just as good that's lighter and cheaper prior to my 100 day money back guarantee expiring.

Quality issue, deteriorated over time and poor customer support
Mattress QueenPurchased the mattress in January. When it arrived it looked and felt really good. I tried the medium and soft configuration but was happy with the medium and felt like I had made a good purchase.
In April, I started waking in the night with a sore back. I grinned and bared it for a while but it got progressively worse until I felt like I was sleeping in a hammock and I was going to return it. I was just out of the 100 day customer satisfaction so contacted customer support and the fun began. This was 12 May. The initial response was the same
... Read more day, with mention that they needed to escalate. I did not hear back from them so a week later I contacted them again, they responded quickly offering to send replacement foam. I did not believe that is was necessarily the issue so questioned if that would solve it so they asked a few more questions about the mattress and there was no visible issues with the mattress or springs, which I responded to on the same day. 10 days later and I had no response so contacted again to be told it would be escalated. I was then given a long email which included my sleeping position on the bed and I should try move up or down. I replied the same day with what I believed the issue was and again got radio silence. A week later I contacted them again and they offered me a replacement foam. I replied to them and got no response for 10 days, replied again, still no response for another week and then go a long email about changes in my sleep preference but still offered a new foam. I accepted the offer of the new foam and was told it would be sent out with tracking info. 6 weeks to get to this point… 9 days later nothing, another follow up, another week later, still nothing and another follow up with still no response. I think the mattress concept is great, with changeable feel and 100 trial which would solve most technical support issues with a basic refund, and I am sure, based on the reviews, that I am 1 in 1000 or less that has had issues which started after the 100 days, which they are just not in a position to support. I purchase a bed with a 10 year warranty that after less than 6 months is providing the support it did when I got it and their support team is not geared up or responsive enough in solving this issue I was really hoping I did not have to post a negative response on here, but waking every night between two and four and not been able to go back to sleep, and then not being responded to by the support team, has left me no choice

Can’t decide between the Zeek mattress & Macoda…. Wanting a plush, luxurious, 5 star hotel feel mattress… I’m a side sleeper with shoulder/neck issues.

The Macoda is a great plush option. It features a 5 zone pocket spring system which is great for side sleepers as it provides additional support where support is needed. We have also been rated most comfortable mattress 3 years in a row by our friends over at BedBuyer :)
Hi, this is my 3rd night sleeping on my new Machida mattress. Mostly it feels like a cloud but my hips and ribs feel like they're hitting the springs. It really hurts, I've woken both mornings feeling bruised. Could this just be me getting used to a different mattress? I'm not a tiny girl at around 90kg, but I didn't expect this. I want to love it so much. Has anyone else felt this? Oh I have flipped it to firm, to see if that helped but it's the same issue. Thanks.

Part of your experience could well just be an adjustment period (some people adjust quicker than others) however, you shouldn't be able to feel the springs. Shoot us an email at info@macoda.com.au and we'll work through it with you to see what's going on exactly and work out how best to help you!
