concrete and actually harder than the medium configuration which is bizarre.

The original mattress had a cloud like top cover and used latex in the comfort layers and was a far superior mattress for comfort and back support for side sleeping, besides edge support which is better on the new model. Regret purchasing again as my spine in now a complete mess. Tossing and turning all night and waking up at 3,4 am in agony every morning! Worst mattress I’ve ever had.

Dealing with their customer service via emails is like reading generated scripts from a AI bot…

Requested a return/refund and was refused. Their policy is that if you have purchased a mattress from them in the past and buy a new one in future the 100 night trial and refund does not apply to your new mattress....1 Mattress return per household only. Shady practices from most of these bed in a box companies. They say the policy is in place so that customers do not abuse the 100 night trial, but what about if your legit and in total agony from the product, or the product is defective, you are stuck with it. What about their 10 year warranty is that down the drain too?

This is our 2nd mattress with Macoda and this new design is not as comfortable. The cover creates static, and its no longer like a cloud but hard and firm. I have purchased a $400 topper the add to it but I regret purchasing a second time with this new design. Show details

plush and quality etc (same price bracket as Macoda) but once home it was awful, I couldn't lie on my side due to the spring pressure against my legs, hips and shoulders. I returned it as soon as my Macoda arrived.

I cannot feel pressure or firmness of springs on my Macoda. I feel like it's supportive for my body and I find it very comfortable. I am able to lie on my back comfortably, without needing a pillow under my knees which is usually impossible on other mattresses due to the strain it puts on my lower back. I've unzipped and looked at the layers inside of the mattress, the zips are good quality. the fabric cover is also nice and feels like good quality. after the drama of buying and trying the awful store bought mattress, scoured the internet for information and reviews for a suitable mattress for a heavy, short, side sleeper and took the advice of the bedbuyer website and I am happy with the choice I made. I wouldn't hestitate to buy a Macoda again.

pillows are also AWESOME! It was rated to be on the softer side compared with other similar mattress brands and that’s what I wanted. But rest assured it’s still very supportive and doesn’t get hot. Can’t feel my partners movements at all. I love that. I found it was middle of the road price wise for similar mattress in a box options. Delivery was prompt and simple. They even helped get it upstairs for me. Opened it up and let it swell for a couple of days before moving it. Doesn’t smell like plastic either! Honestly it’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. Their return policy was comforting given you can’t try it but never for a moment considered using it!!! Love it and highly recommend.

Wouldn’t bother – I bought a Macoda mattress 3-4 years ago, whilst initial very happy the mattress it began to sag and also became extremely uncomfortable to sleep, on experiencing back, hip, shoulder and leg pain. I contacted customer service late Dec 23 requesting a new topper, and whilst they were very prompt in responding I was told on numerous occasions that they would have to consult with their supervisor regarding my request, or their supervisor was very busy, that they would ‘give them a nudge’ to respond. To date I am still yet to hear anything. Whilst I appreciate that I made a request over the Christmas period, I don’t think it takes over 6 weeks to receive a definitive response as to whether or not they could provide a new topper. I feel that if my purchase had been greater than that of $150 for a new topper, then I would have received a prompt response. I have bought a new mattress elsewhere and would never go back to Macoda. Very disappointed on the short term use for the money spent and the time wasted.

We were recommended a macoda by some friends and it’s been amazing! It was fast shipping and when I had questions the customer service team were professional and responsive! on. We didn’t realise what we were missing out on! Also there is little to no partner disturbance so you won’t wake up if your partner moves. The mattress is very comfortable and supportive. Mattress has maintained shape and quality since we got it about 5-6 months ago

Was very nervous but decided to try because of the return policy and I have to say I have been delighted with the result. I slept on it after 7 hours expansion and I was quite happy then after 3 weeks I changed to the softer configuration and it is brilliant. Best Mattress ever! – I bought a Queen mattress 3 years ago and now a King one. These are by far the best mattress that I have ever tried. I actually ordered before one a mattress from one of their main competitors and I ended up returning it. I cant recommend the Macoda mattress enough. It's a good mattress, but in no way it is soft. In its softest configuration, it's medium at best. The problem is a very rigid spring layer - that's why they can't make the top layer softer - you would feel springs.

Very disappointed – We've had the mattress for about a year and a half now. My back has never been worse. Having to now spend quite a bit of money in physiotherapy to fix it. The mattress sags in the middle and doesn't provide any comfort or support. Bought two, one for myself and the other for my wife, both do the same thing. I ended up going to snooze and spending the same amount for a much higher quality mattress. Such a shame as I really had my hopes up. Show details

could feel no difference. I also found the motion transfer / partner disturbance to be worse than I expected from a new mattress. Delivery was clunky, I don’t think the courier service they use is the best, but I got the mattress after a couple of days delay - so no big deal in the end. When it came to sending it back within the 100 night timeframe the returns process was super easy. Macoda were very responsive via email for all questions and requests. I got a full refund soon after the charity came and collected the mattress. I have no regrets whatsoever with the purchase it was worth a shot, just a shame it wasn’t for me.

Just perfect! – I’ve been sleeping on this mattress for nine months now and it’s wonderfully comfortable and supportive with the right amount of softness for my small frame. I look forward to going to bed knowing I will get a good night’s sleep and won’t wake up with a sore back or hip. disappeared. My neck pain also. Unfortunately I have very sensitive hips & found they were starting to get achey. The team at Macoda were incredibly helpful with their suggestions, even supplying an extra insert, but unfortunately the problem persisted.They listened & always answered my emails very promptly. From the concrete Koala mattress, trying the Emma Diamond topper to fix the Koala, then to the Macoda, it's like going from Hell to the Heavens. The difference is incredible.

I recommend this mattress if you are 50-55kg and under and looking for plush softness.

couple of months ago we had sore backs in the morning. The inserts were on the firm side as suggested, but were starting to get soft and sag. Contacted Macoda for advice. Was asked to show pics of sag so they could provide an answer. No feedback from them and constantly get the response that the " supervisor" is busy and will give a response/ suggestion when they can. Been going on for a few weeks now. So, if you want a mattress that costs over 1k and only provides comfort / support for a couple of years, go ahead and buy. I will be giving Macoda a miss as we look for a new mattress.

I also got a pillow which is amazing, again cool and a memory foam feeling but somehow softer and dont feel like you have sunk in to it. the matress didnt smell like the memory foam did when it was unpacked. Five stars - the only slight downside is that the partner disturbance is not quite as good as the memory foam but still very good and giant leap forward over the previous sprung mattress
