Madura Premium Blend

Don't bother with T4me which is produced by Madura and sold in Woolworths. The tea and price are both quite good however the bags are terrible, they split and most often leave tea floating around in the top of the cup. I've had to throw a number of cups out due to the 'floating' tea. Show details
Weak brew – I have been a Madura tea drinker for about 20 years. I have noticed lately that the loose leave premium blend seems to be much weaker. I am consistently getting a very weak brew. Whether in a pot or infuser. I am using the same amounts (sometimes even more) and the same technique but being very disappointed. Wondering if anyone else is noticing this?

I purchased my normal 100 pack of Madura tea bags atCastletown Townsville, two weeks ago. I found when I opened them little black stains on each tea bag within the fully enclosed intact inner bags. The outside was in good condition too.

This is the best black tea and a great local-to-my-region Australian tea grower – I love my Madura Premium tin too, I've had it for years and it's still going strong. (I have two other tins too - Madura Green and Madura Earl Grey. These are also good teas). I've been drinking them for years, and have visited their tea plantation many times. I had reason to deal with the company recently, and they acted quickly and went… Read more
beyond the call of duty to respond and resolve my question. I highly recommend them and their various teas.
My all time favourite tea!!! – It is hands down the best tasting tea, i have converted all my friends and family to drink it as well! So now i dont have to carry tea bags around with me when i visit people because they all now drink Madura tea at there places!
Thinking about changing – Have used your tea leaf tea for lots of years but I am concerned that maybe the blended tea may have pesticides in it. Most imported tea does contain pesticides. Am very concerned about that. Show details

Quality varies among batches – I have been buying Madura organic black tea for the last four years. Within the last year the quality has varied among batches in terms of colour of the tea (I drink it black), taste and time to infuse. The most recent packet I bought (with a best before of 17th October, 2024) gave a grey coloured bitter infusion and the tea was very dusty. I’ve decided to buy from a different supplier because I can’t rely on the consistency of Madura tea. Show details

"Can you please go back to the way your tea used to be-please?" – Oh I have loved Madura Premium from the first time I tried it from the Amway catalogue about 40 years ago. I loved being able to drink it going to bed as low in caffeine and tannin. About a year ago (or so) new packaging appeared and a terrible tasting tea inside?? What?? I was shocked and went into a panic but thought maybe a mistake in the… Read more
factory so I waited a few months and got more. Now I was crying and still am, as no other tea can replace my lifelong friend. PLEASE PLEASE bring my favourite, in fact only tea I want to drink back soon. What happened? Did the person setting the high standards depart? Why did you do this? Was it to save money?? I tried the new bad blend a few times before bed but it keeps me awake all night. I'm sure companies make bad disicions all the time and who cares? but in this case this is huge!! effecting my life greatly. Please be gracious and repair the damage. I'll be so very happy to get the real Premium Blend back.

Deteriorated quality – We have been drinking Madura for years, happy to support an Australian company. Going back a few years we always got 2 very tasty cups of tea from a bag, but that has certainly changed; the quantity of tea in the bags seems much lower and we now struggle to get 1 good cup from a bag. As for flavour, I agree with other reviewers that it doesn't… Read more
seem as good as the old days. We are disappointed and will probably change. It seems like a company trying to squeeze more profit out of a product and just overdoing it.

Burnt fingers – The string detaching from the bag happens on every tea bag. This has been happening for almost 12 months now. I have approached them several times and they always have weak excuses and say it has been fixed. It still has not been fixed and I doubt it ever will. I have finally had enough and this once loyal customer has now changed brands. Shame on you Madura, you have ruined a once great product.
Madura English Breakfast tea bags – Do not buy these tea bags. The tea tastes great however the teabags don't perform. As soon as the hot water hits the tea bag the string comes off. No jiggling the tea bag, you have to fish it out with a spoon. I thought initially it was just the one bag.........Nope, every single bag does the same thing. Don't buy. It's a shame as the taste of the tea is quite nice but clearly they are scrimping on costs. Show details

Disappointed in the last premium tea bags I purchased. So weak and little flavour, – I am the biggest fan of Madura tea and have really enjoyed my cuppa for many years. HOWEVER when I bought my last packet with New packaging, I was SO DISAPPOINTED as it was like drinking weak dishwater !!! What have you done??? Please do a taste test and give me back my beautiful tea. Show details
Complaint string breaking off – Hi I had the same problem as Ashley with my English breakfast tea bags the string breaking as soon as you put the hot water in not happy as get splashed with hot water I am glad your changing back was not a good idea as I love my English breakfast cuppa jean Show details
Black Leaf tea – Please review the leaf to dust quality of the leaf tea. It used to be excellent, very little dust so made a great cuppa. That hasn't been the case for a while now and I no longer feel that I can recommend the leaf tea Show details
A Recent problem – Also having trouble with the string detaching from the bag which is a shame as I've used this tea happily for many years in both the loose-leafed and bag options Show reply
Quality is slipping! – We have always started the day with Madura Tea for 35 years and now the string detaches soon as you bring in contact with Hot water, where's my quality gone? Show details · 1
Good tea but tea tag and string come off too easily – First time bought the earl grey tea. Seems like the glue on the tags and strings are too weak. 90% Of the cup end up me using fork to get the bags out. Four stars for the tea itself. One star for the tags and strings Show details · 1
Disgusting – Have been wanting to try this for ages. Smelled like mouldy grass clipping (in the bag) and that follows through to the brew. Huge disappointment. Nowhere on the box does it say pesticide free or organic !!!! Just found out it is blended from foreign tea. No declared percentage of local tea Box does mention no sugar - in leaf tea, are you serious? bb 12 Aug 2023 Show details

Tea bags without tags – I have been purchasing Madura tea for a long time and I understand the unprecedented current times have made it tough for all of us, including manufacturers. However, as stated by another reviewer I would have liked to have been informed of any changes to the product, prior to purchasing! A simple highly visible sticker on the outside of the box… Read more

Tea bags without tags – Love the taste of the tea but was disappointed that in the last tea that I bought in Coles in the Tweed valley that the tea bags had no tag. I know there was an apology inside the box. Would have preferred it the be announced on the outside of the box so that I could make the decision if I wanted to buy tea bags without tags. Thank you for your kindness in supplying me with your tea! – I purchase my tea from you online, this is very easy and convenient and postage comes well packed and in good condition and in a timely manner. Very disappointed – Am a tad disappointed, after using Madura loose leaf tea and tea bags for many, many years was so disappointed after I googled to find it is a blend of Sri Lankan, Indian and Australian tea. We are proud Australians and at this difficult time are proud to support truly Australian products. Have spoken loudly that your tea has been our preferred choice because of this. Quite disappointed, need to change....... Show reply

This was once perfect, now tasteless, what a shame! – I have been drinking madura leaf tea for more than 20 years. Everyone i made for has loved it - that is, until recently. Now it is very weak and has no flavour. The last 3 boxes have not been worth having. Sorry madura but I'm now looking elsewhere. Show details
