Not gentle on stomach – Started on this formula at 4 weeks after reading the reviews on here. At the start of introducing the formula it was ok but once she was on it full time she started getting runny green poo's and was always bloated. She never drank a full 120mls and went from sleeping 6 hours in a night to waking every 2 hours. We ended up changing to Oli brand… Read more

formula which from the first bottle you could see the difference..

This formula is also be discontinued.

Constipation is real! – So I’d heard really great things about this formula so switched from Nan supreme as the price difference is huge. At first it seemed great & he was still pooping everyday (but we were using both formulas as we were using the old one up). Now my baby cries more & poops less - he used to poo daily & so far it’s been 2 days without a poo & last time… Read more

he pooed it was a lot harder than usual!

Another huge difference with this formula is when you scoop it in the bottle, it all just sits on top of the water? The nan one sinks down into the water but this sits directly on top which I find strange.

He has also always been a great sleeper but on average he wakes up an hour earlier each morning so I’m guessing the Aldi formula doesn’t fill him for as long either.

Unfortunately, it’s not love for us & I wish it was. We will have to switch back.

Can't fault it, except baby's poo smells a little more – We took the risk changing to this formula,as there was nothing wrong with the taste of Karricare, and his poo was pretty regular too. The only complaints were that he was throwing up heaps more and gassy.and I thought as much as he mixed feed, $20/3 or 4 weeks is expensive and just finding ways on where we can save. As we are using Aldi's… Read more

nappies and wipes,I have decided to change his formula to Aldi's too, after extensive research on how good the formula is. Obviously it works for most but not some, and I was praying that he'd like it, that it'll sit nicely in his tummy and no reflux nor much wind.

Trialled the first week with it and we have both decided that it works so good for his tummy. He wasn't throwing up milk as much. Not as gassy too as he wasn't farting a lot,was easy to be burped and for $12.99/can, I've stocked up and certainly doesn't feel like I'm breaking the bank.

I have also compared it to karri, and for the price I am paying, he is getting more nutrients and extra dha. I also added Probiotic on his first night bottle, which probably helps him not constipated. As o heard gold formula usually constipated baby.

The only downside is his poo stinks a little more than when he was on karri, which is such a small disadvantage.

Good formula but not for my bub – After many months of researching formula we decided to use Aldi Mamia since the reviews were so good and it is Australia Made which is a plus. We put our newborn onto it as I was unable to breast feed. Seemed to be going great guns for a week until the Colicky Baby emerged. We thought it was maybe the bottles being used so changed from one to… Read more

another (Pigeon to Dr. Browns ) and it was the same. Crying in pain for up to 5 hours a night until the wind subsided leaving no sleep for this poor mumma . I also tried adding drops to the formula to counteract as everything else was fine she loved the taste it didnt foam and she had regular BM which i was happy with and gained weight well so all the ticks were there but the trapped wind was getting worse with every feed. I read that wind can be caused by excess lactose left undigested and after doing somr research and reading of the tin, lactose is the first ingredient on the tin therefore i made the decision to switch to a lactose free formula.

If it werent for the wind issue with my bub i woulf rate this 5 stars but unfortunately it didnt agree with us. Its a shame as it ticked all the boxes. Glad to hear it works well for other mummas though!

Another happy mumma and customer! – My poor bubba has reflux just mildly! I had her on s26 gold newborn and she threw it all up im talking massive quantities and made her constipated! Then nan pro gold that was better for her but still throwing up, i switched to aldi still throwing up then SMA which is made by the same people as s26 but is the same as s26 AR formula to help reflux… Read more

exactly the same but cheaper made her horribly constipated she was in horrible pain and bleeding bum. I kept switching thinking it was the milk till i found out it was reflux. Anyway now back on aldi formula mixed with gaviscon infant and it's absolutely perfect formula she loves it as well as since being back on she poos atleast 3 times a day or more and they are nice soft poos. Nan pro gold was good too but decided to stick with aldi as cheaper and was just the same but with a few extra things in it that are good for bub. I love this formula and would highly recomend it to anyone. Cheap doesnt meanthey wouldnt sell it if it didnt pass basic test people! I also love their nappies way better for her compared to huggies and kmart brand. Huggies she would leak out the sides. And kmart were alright but not as absorbent wich u can clearly see. Plus aldi 4.65 a pack of 28 so u can get 140 nappies if you buy 5 packs compared to 22-26 bucks for less nappies in huggies. So im aldi lover all round for everything . anyway back on topic aldi formula is great and if you conpare ratios on the contents compared to others they arent that different aldi is a whey dominant fornula which means light :) love love love alfis formula thanks alot aldi

Great product – My baby has had bad digestive issues and constipation since birth because of a premature stomach and bowel. This formula has helped with his digestion and also poo which we loved. Switched to this from Nan because he kept vomiting his feeds, which he has done a lot less to none now using this brand. Formula is easy to use and bubs loves drinking… Read more

it. I've used this product on two of my children and they both gained a lot of weight on this product. The scoops don't seem to use as much as the expensive products and my baby tolerates it well, and he was a prem baby too. Super cheap and baby friendly,I wouldn't use anything else. I trust this product completely. Baboes tolerate all formulas differently but both my bubs have tolerated this product really well.

Fabulous standard formula! – Baby had no problems transitioning from breast milk, always available and can't go past the price. Both the 1 and 2 formulas are great for babies with no dietary issues. Show details

Hit or Miss – As others have stated, the value of this formula is completely dependent on how your child tolerates it. Our first born absolutely loved this formula and had no issue with it whatsoever. Sadly, our second child could not tolerate it at all. The gas build up after each bottle caused 1 to 2 hours of writhing pain after each bottle that was very… Read more

hard to soothe. Poos changed from mustard yellow to bright green due to the high iron content. Switched formulas and the problem resolved immediately.

It's great value if your child can handle it, however my word of advice is to not waste any time and switch immediately if your child becomes uncomfortable after every bottle because the longer you leave it the worse it gets.

If you want to save money, try this! – * my son tried APTIMAL GOLD and then switched to A2 Platinum, at $38 per tin I couldn’t keep going and the formulas above were making my son vomit more often so I tried mamia brand at 6m and never gone back to other brands as he digested Mamias brand well * no reactions, he enjoyed it * easy to prepare and he vomited less often Show details

Not bad – This formula isn’t terrible, especially for the price but my baby was quite windy on this so we have since switched to something else. Would recommend for babies who don’t have any digestion issues as my Bub seemed to enjoy the taste. Show details

Perfect formula with a good price tag – We started our baby off on NAN - baby didnt seem too fussed but at $30 and the varied availability we changed to Mamia. Baby likes it and has had no side effects, it's only $13 and it's always in stock. Every baby is different but this product really works well for us Show details

Brilliant for baby and my pocket! – We used this from day 1 with my son, he seems to enjoy it, no side effects to note. He did have some slight reflux as a newborn but we added aptamil thickener to the formula to avoid changing formula brand and he seemed better, by the time he was 4 months we stopped using thickener and he is just on aldi formula with no issues. No constipation or… Read more

gas ever. The formula is a great price and my baby enjoys it so win win! Easy to prepare and smells just fine, there is a little lip on the inside of the tin to level off the scoops which is handy, some brand tins don't do this. Overall would absolutely recommend to anyone. This formula is far cheaper than some other brands and is Australian made! So would say if going to formula feed try this first and if baby is happy then you've saved yourself a bundle! Winner winner!

Only bubbles and gas when made – Very hard on my baby tummy. When mixed with water, create so much bubbles which indeed goes in baby tummy and he was unsettled unhappy crying for 3-4nights, then i finally switched to Nan and now he is so settled with it. Al gas issues gone. No leg doing upwards, no farts, not many berps and no bubbles with Nan. Hate mamia Show details

Buyer beware! – Switched to this formula from another and immediately gave our child very bad constipation. Couldnt sleep, couldnt pass poo and threw his entire schedule out the window. Switched back to our original formula after 5-6 days and symptoms immediately disappered. Constipation was so bad our baby was passing bloody mucus causing everyone stress and doctor visits. AVOID. Show details

My baby loves this formula and it’s half the price! – We were originally using Aptamil anti reflux for formula tops ups, and after a session with the lactation consultant she suggested we switch formulas to avoid constipation (the anti reflux formula is super thick). She said Mamia is a good option and also cheap so we have it a go and we’ve never looked back. No more constipation, it’s easy to… Read more

prepare, my baby loves to drink it - and it’s half the price of Aptamil! I don’t even have to wait for it to go on sale or struggle with stock levels in store. I will be sticking with this for the little mans formula top ups. We haven’t had any reflux problems with it either it would appear, so go figure!!

Gave my baby terrible gas pains – I have heard that this formula is similar in composition to Nan Comfort, so I thought we would give it a go. It gave my baby terrible gas pains to the point that no amount of bicycle legs or burping would ease it. Our neighbours could hear his cries. Show details

Bad bad bad – So last week was a rough week and decided to buy mamia formula as it was cheaper and my friends premmy loves it compared to everything else. Well my daughter is never unsettled, doesn’t throw her milk back up until we used mamia. It’s like poison for my baby. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re swapping from Nan. Now I have to wait 2 more days until I can get her off this crap Show details

Best decision I made – I was on the Aptimil Profutura 1 which is nearly $30 a tin depending where you go. Talking to the Maternal Health Nurse, I expressed my concern about being unable to get it due to the huge buy up that is being sent to China. I was advised to get the Aldi brand as it had won some awards and was virtually the same formula. I was hesitant but it… Read more

breaks down easier in the water. I can get 2 tins for the price of 1 and my baby absolutely loves it. She has been gaining weight as she should be and there were no changes in her nappy apart from a little constipation due to changing formula. It all settled down now though.
