re-install a control panel just to find (I had to pay another company) to find out the heater is not working, burnt out motor apparently. Also they had to come back to fix a leaking tap on the unit! The company are just awful, I have lost sleep and my well-being is shot to pieces from the exoerience. Never again!!!!!!!!!!!

What a joke of a company, do not use them, poor workmanship and terrible aftersales service. Issue after issue due to poor installation of a duct work that keeps coming apart. Had to get another company to come in and fix the issue in the roof space. It took Mannix 4 month to attend at the address and then did nothing other than make excuses. Do not use this company, no quailty control re installers. Show details

My old Fujitsu air conditioner decided to pack up in 2023 after 15 years,leaking water into the roof. Had the ceiling repaired went to Mannix to get a new system as they had fitted the last Fujitsu system,had a completely new Fujitsu system fitted the next week great so far. it was a loose pipe. Turned out to be a cracked pipe that they kept missing but at least it was fixed now. A year later water started pouring from my new ceiling from the new A/C system. Turned out to be a badly fitted pipe. They did the repair and fixed the damage but at least it's fixed now yes. Another year later I'm sat out side with my wife when we notice a terrible smell. Traced it to the new Fujitsu outside unit and noticed smoke coming out of the unit which was STILL running no fuse or trip had cut it out and no error codes were showing. Shut it down and called Mannix the next day. Sent an engineer out the next day and found the damage shown in the picture a burnt out circuit board. No explanation why this had happened and why the system had kept running. I'm no expert but if we had not been outside at the time how could this have ended. Contacted Mannix told them I was not happy with this lemon of a system all they said is that they would look after me if the system broke down again after the 5 year warranty ended. My last Fujitsu system lasted 15 years before it broke down and could have been repaired for a lot less than the $13000 I paid for this new system so what type of guarantee is well look after you. Complained to Mannix management got a call back from the manager agreed to get a full insulation inspection and service. Still not received this yet hence this review to advise every one of my experiences with Mannix.

it up by fitting gutter guard protection after the damage was already done. There was constant arguing and blame-shifting. They installed the control unit in a usable position, but then mounted a temperature sensor directly underneath it, making it impossible to rotate — and then blamed me for the setup. Yes i did say install the control unit in that spot but not the sensor - when i questioned him he went oh no, i said dont rip it off now youll possible damage the wall paint and it needs to be done properly.

I raised concerns immediately. Despite what they later claimed, this wasn’t first escalated on 17 July — I began raising issues from 26 June and spent three weeks getting the runaround. They clearly hoped I’d just give up.

Dealing with the Salisbury store manager ([Name Removed]) was a nightmare — rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in resolving anything properly. He had no clue about what work was done or anything he just wanted it to go away. When they eventually sent someone to "fix" the damage, he showed up in the rain with a spray can, did no surface prep, and still had the nerve to argue and deny responsibility. The “repair” was a complete joke. If they try to deny it, I’ll gladly post the footage.

Eventually, after more back-and-forth, the issue was escalated to [Name Removed], who addressed the damage. One section of gutter couldn’t be accessed due to freshly poured concrete — but by that point, I was done chasing them. And that’s exactly what they count on: wearing the customer down until they stop following up.

To this day, the work remains incomplete (concrete because of me, sagging vent because i am done trying, double sided tape where the sensor was). The product itself might be fine — but the service is by far the worst I’ve experienced.

And just as a side note: it’s would look like some of those glowing five-star reviews on google are written by the managers themselves. No surprise there.

Bottom line: once Mannix has your money, you’re on your own. I will never recommend them. Avoid Mannix Salisbury and take your business elsewhere.

Installation was done by contractors and when the location of the unit was questioned we were told that "this is where it needs to go". now a hazard to drive our car into the carport? This particular unit was one of several options and obviously we wouldn't have chosen something that would create such a hazard had the sales rep. done his job - that is provide customer service and information that is in our best interest. Very disappointing response from sales rep when contacted again; just wanted us to pay and go away. So, we are left with having to deal with this ourselves.

NO Mannix again – Gas heating installed by holden hill mannix..first thing we notice all the rubbish left in roof space...unit doesnt work properly on timer or shuts off completely. When we had a technician coming out he changed remote. A day later we came home and there was water in the house due to heavy rain, because the tiles were not pushed back again and left open! Show details

Lucky to get one star. Air con works. Data suggests I am not generating power from solar panels. Lint from old system littered all over my property and street. A clump of insulation material in one duct. Was told to get a ladder and remove it. 2700 ceilings and I am 70, great service. Show details

 Follow-up  · No roof inspection Old system removed. Repair ceilings was done by a contractor, who unlike installer was thorough. My power bill is horrendous because installers forgot to turn solar generating facilities back on, which wasn't discovered for close to a week. Rectified eventually.

proposed timelines for installation. Mannix were there to install our unit as outlined in their quote. The installation was on time, the staff were friendly, professional and we happy with all aspects of the installation and removal of all the old system. It's now 2 years since this occurred and I can't comment about after sales service because we have not had any issues. For the last 2 years, if it's hot, our lovely home is cool with the press of a button. If it's cold, like it is tonight, then we are warm. I appreciate I probably should have made a comment earlier, but regardless, I have never had any dealings with Mannix before our installation or since. But credit where it is due. They were competative on price, they were on time with the installation, they were professional, the staff were friendly and helpful and we are very satisfied with all aspects of our installation. was corrected to make it more efficient . The end result looks excellent. The final payment . I was so happy with the finished unit I paid the quoted payment in person and to let them know I was wrapped with the service. Book a quote online and warrick will answer any questions.

Absolutely terrible company to deal with spent more than $38,000 on air con, solar and sonnen battery. The system was faulty from week one calls for service took up to 12 weeks to get a response (return call). They didn't know what was wrong and still haven't told us what the problem was (seems like a faulty install) had 4 call outs for the same… Read more

fault and took MORE THAN 3 YEARS to rectify the problem (on one callout the electrician advised the blackout back up was connected wrongly and not working, we assume the original issue has been rectified but have no confidence). We have been offered compensation (in writing) for the estimated thousands of $ of cost that would not have occurred with a properly working system, not surprisingly as with after sales service nothing happening. The Sonnen battery has been terrible and no help from Sonnen. It appears the mistake was expecting an air conditioning company to be able to correctly supply and install solar panels and a battery. It appears Mannix are interested up until they receive payment. Mannix are very good at lip service and by our experience very unprofessional with after sales service and not up to solar installs. Mannix inv # 20552190. I hope this helps potential future customers.

Staff not interested in explaining in detail the process or the product. Did own research. Tradies were unprofessional leaving early, hurrying us up to make decisions because they wanted to go home at 11am. Broke roof tiles and didn’t tell us and we had a lot of rain and so it came through the ceiling and damaged our floor. Did nothing about it and no follow up. Worst experience ever – Was very disappointed with the purchase and its after sales service. Our purchase was made a couple of years back - spent about 6k in total and was left with a unit that was faulty out of the box, worst of all this was in peak summer. Worst part of all - Mannix offered us $250.00 gift card, and Hitachi dropped a gift box - containing a water bottle, picnic rug and some random stuff ( probably worth $ 30.00 from ebay) which we declined as this was adding insult to injury.

Will never recommend anyone to approach Lonsdale branch or a Hitachi product.

I rang to find out the price for an aircon service and was given a mobile number for S, with the recommendation that I text him in case he was up on the roof or such. I duly did so, asking for a quote for service. S sent a response with a price that evening. As it was already late and I did not wish to bother S, I responded the next day, thanking S for the quote and asking when he would have time to come. A week later, I still had no reply. It's hot, he must be very busy of course. My elderly mother began feeling unwell and faint in the heat. As a courtesy, I texted S again, saying that, as I had hear nothing further from him, I appreciate he must be very busy, that I would try someone else and I thanked him. He wrote back to apologise for the delay and that he could get someone to me the next day if I am available. As I had to take my mother to the doctor the next day, I responded that if I could place reliance on his offer, what time could he attend? My mother's medical appointment came and went. It is now over 3 weeks later and we have heard nothing. Our aircon was installed years ago by a Mannix contractor, who did a wonderful job but is now retired. I called another business, was given a quote and a date/time, which were honoured by a young man in a smart uniform and a smile. He was also $70 cheaper. His card is now on the fridge and Mannix's binned. My heart goes out to everyone who has suffered discontent at the hands of this reduced organisation. I hope you manage to get it sorted to you satisfaction. Congratulations if you had a good experience.

airconditioning my ceiling for 10 years. The compressor was balanced on my irregular footpath with bits of tile grout that had fallen from my roof, wedged under the compressor stand! The compressor was not bolted to the wall, so it could fall over. Two air ducts were placed over the manhole, making it almost impossible to get into the ceiling. And there is much more. Do SA a favour and send these imbeciles broke by not falling for their preschool level of workmanship. I wish I had never paid for my airconditioner. Good brand, junked.

Great air con, no service, useless trades and no after sales care – If you are prepared to do your own homework, know what you need and clean up and fix things after the install then maybe they are worth considering. Tradies were absolute useless. Left food wrappers and rubbish in the driveway, and anywhere they worked around the house was left in a mess. Screws, wire, plastic all just left floating around. cut through the silver insulation on the roofing iron and just left it dangling, promised to tie off old vents and just left them open, never put back moved insulation and left rubbish in the ceiling. Also managed to knock a ceiling fan and just left it that way: unplugged and not operational. Sad as I specifically asked if the trades were subbies or not. No one showed how to use the system and there was not even a phone call to follow up after spending 12k.

Can't get anyone from Mannix to go in the ceiling and check ducting which is supposed to be high quality but crackles when turned on and off. We can't use the system in the bedroom because the crackles are like gunshots and go on for 40 minutes after system has been turned off. If we have air con on in another room, we need to turn it off half an hour before going to bed because the crackles are loud in our bedroom despite not being turned on there. Makes no sense but can't get any satisfaction after all this time. Thousands of dollars spent on a system which we can't use properly.

Extremely Unprofessional – Disgusting installation! - Workman walked on brand new carpet with muddy workboots on. - They used our new kitchen bench as their ladder to fit a vent. - They used our toilets that hadn't been connected. - They cut our fence and didn't bother to repair.
