Ordered for Monday, paid and received confirmation on the Saturday that order was due Monday. Monday comes and no food arrives that i was counting on for dinner for my family. Log into my account and the day has changed to Wednesday with no communication. Talk to customer support and no help at all. Show details
Used to be a really good service. Recently, the number of mistakes in terms of getting the wrong ingredients, or receiving mouldy ingredients has increased a lot. Their feedback section is all just operated by a bot, and they make it really hard to get in touch with a real person to get refunded appropriately It's a real shame because they have a good selection of vegetarian and pescetarian options. Hate the new updates. Without any warning they have stopped sending meals in individual bags. I absolutely loved that they did that. The feeling of being able to empty that bag and know that everything was there was the best part of their service. I chose Marley Spoon above other meal delivery services because 1) they packed the meals in… Read more
individual bags 2) they always had all the ingredients and I never had to follow up with them about missed items. And I'm pretty sure that 2 was actually because of 1. Because all the other meal delivery services I have had problems with. So disappointed.
It took me ages to pack all of it into my fridge today. I have no idea where anything is and it's so confusing trying to work out what each meal needs because they have all this 2P, 4P, 6P nonsense on the recipe cards now.
I'm glad I kept all the recipe cards because now I'll just buy it myself from the supermarket. If I'm going to he sorting out all my own ingredients I want to at least be doing it cheaply.

We’ve only just begun, and so far, it’s been fantastic and good amount of food for 2 people and no waste left over. After a long day at work, it’s a relief to have a meal that’s easy to prepare and doesn’t require much thought. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the meals are delicious. For our last meal of the week, we had the… Read more
champion chilli, which we took camping with us. We cooked it over the fire, and it was fantastic. The smoky flavour of the chilli was a great addition to the meal. The other meals we had were also delicious.

Produce was fresh, ethically sourced meats, authentic ingredients, meals were quick to prepare and delicious. The weekly menu is extensive with lots of tasty looking recipes from various cuisines. Fruit box is a joke! They offered me $5 to refund both boxes which were $50. Rockmelons were 19c at my local fruit store recently. I tried to cancel but was too late for the second box. Show details
Never had an issue with the meat, but the quality of the vegetables is poor, you'd be lucky to get three days out of the vegetables before they spoil. Most of the time the vegetables are substandard on delivery, speaking of which, their delivery is also appalling. From front gates being left open to the box being left just on the inside of the… Read more
fence for people to steal or to being left in the driveway in the rain instead of being left undercover on the front porch. You can complain, but it doesn't get any better. Terrible customer service.

My first box missed all the major ingredients in the recipes & missed 5 ready meals I ordered. Customer service offered a credit to my account but I explained as I was unhappy I didn’t want that but a refund. They refunded half of my money, but then after I answered a survey emailed to me and explained my situation they ended up refunding my total… Read more
order and added $90 credit to my account. I thought I’d use the credit and try again but the meals looked very unappealing the chicken looks completely uncooked in a microwave meal.

Variety of recipes, easy to prepare and yummy. Ingredients are fresh and good portions. Customer service is efficient. I understand the hassle to modify boxes but I wish there was an option to remove some of the ingredients. Sometimes I had to throw… Read more
away green peppers or ginger because I don’t consume them. I also have enough garlic and lemons for the next three months. Besides this, it really made my life easier for the time I used the service. I’ll likely return once my circumstances allow again :)
Follow-up · Delivery experience was great. The access to my property isn’t straightforward and they did a good job at finding the right house, except maybe once. I contacted customer service about it just to let them know to be careful, and without me asking for anything they gave me a $10 discount on my next order. I’d remove ingredients I don’t like in… Read more
Not worth the stress of tracking your money and meals really. I wanted to find a quality meal service that took the stress out of the daily dinner fight. For the first few weeks deliveries and quality was great, then everything started becoming a… Read more
problem. I can handle a lot as long as I can avoid needing to run around shopping centres getting everything I need for the fortnight. Vegetable quality is below standard after three days most of your vege will be not worth using, bruised enough to make you question how packing happens and whether the local soccer team is handling that task. Hunting around in your delivery box to try and find that elusive sauce or seasoning packet only to realise it's not in there when it's crucial to that specific recipe is frustrating. Waiting for your delivery to arrive after the first few times it gets thrown at your door or left somewhere else at a different address is an anxiety heavy, emotionally fraught experience. Worst of all is walking out to get your box and finding it has been thrown, yes literally thrown because HDS driver of choice is having a bad day, or they can't work out how to drive down a driveway so they either drop your delivery on the road or mark it as addressed incorrectly and you end up with nothing. As a final salvo in helping you decide if this meal delivery kit is worth the price, stress or however you determine value I get my meal kit Saturday morning every week I am expected to pay for it Tuesday every week and that's when they don't grab the money on Sunday or Monday.
Follow-up · The last two boxes I ordered should have arrived on Saturday morning early one arrived Tuesday afternoon. No clue about storage in the interim and the second larger box for the rest of the family, well that is still a mystery. No refund no apologies simply nothing. Hundreds of dollars just disappeared. the food is great, although expensive for the amount (the serves are quite small). Every few boxes there's an ingredient missing, which unfortunately ruins the dish. Overall, it's OK. Show details
Follow-up · I've actually stopped using marley spoon (~3months now) due to missing key ingredients like a sauce/spice sachet that is integral to the dish, and decreasing portion sizes particularly with proteins. Not worth the cost. Download the recipes and buy stuff yourself

So far so good. I had done HelloFresh for over a year, and stopped about 8 months ago due to the extremely poor quality of vegetables, and meat that goes off within 2-3 days of arriving, amongst countless other things (I've left a very detailed review for them!). I missed the convenience of not having to think of what to cook for dinner, and… Read more
decided to try Marley Spoon.
My first Marley Spoon delivery arrived today (29/06/26) and the vegetable quality is phenomenal. All ingredients are there, and the meat (specifically salmon) spoils in 9 days from delivery, as opposed to the salmon from HelloFresh which you'd be lucky to get 3 days out of. I know this is just the first delivery, and from experience with HelloFresh, it took about a month for the quality to start going downhill. So I will update this review in time! (No news is good news!)
The only thing I'd say HelloFresh wins in is the variety. HelloFresh has a much bigger menu. I also was a little disappointed that Marley Spoon charged extra per meal for a basic salmon dish (literally just salmon, potatoes, and some green veg), whereas HelloFresh includes salmon as part of their standard meals.
I’ve been using both HelloFresh and Marley Spoon, and they both deliver great quality meals with fresh ingredients and clear instructions. But there are some differences worth noting. Marley Spoon stands out for transparency: you’ll often see recognizable brand names on ingredients like meat—just like what you’d find at the supermarket—so you know… Read more
exactly what you’re cooking. HelloFresh, on the other hand, doesn’t always show the brand, but it excels in convenience. HelloFresh consistently provides pre-prepped items—like pre-grated cheese or ready-to-bake garlic bread—which makes the cooking process faster and smoother. Plus, HelloFresh tends to offer a broader variety in its menu, which keeps things interesting. Another big plus with Marley Spoon is their clarity upfront on what you need to have at home, like butter or milk—so you’re never caught off guard mid-recipe. Overall, if you want speed and ease, HelloFresh might be your pick. If you prefer seeing familiar brands and knowing exactly what’s in your box, Marley Spoon wins. Both are great—just depends on what you value more in your cooking experience!
I would not recommend Marley Spoon. I am usually a fan of meal deliveries (when they offer discounts). However, MS automates your meals without confirming with you until you receive an SMS that they’re arriving tomorrow. I struggled to find where or how I could pause all future deliveries without cancelling, as they make you click into each week… Read more
individually. I’ve now just received a message that three unhealthy meals they selected, are arriving tomorrow. I don’t want or like these meals and have been charged full price. When talking to a customer agent online, the fault was put on me, claiming I did not save the changes I made when pausing each week individually. Yet somehow she showed me a screenshot of each week having been paused. She made no effort to keep me as a customer, no offer of apology or incentive for me to stay, and very happily canceled my account in 3seconds flat. Alternatively, they could have acknowledged how difficult it is to pause all orders, admitted to their poor UX and offered a discount for shipping unhealthy meals to me that I wasn’t given the opportunity to confirm or change. Very unhappy customer, definitely not worth it, there is better customer service out there.

Use these boxes weekly, meals for 2 persons for 5 meals, 10 serves. Recipes are varied and mixed. Recipe cards are easy to follow. IF any ingredients are missing (only once) or have gone off (on a few occasions) once the support yeam have been notified, I have got a refund applied to my next box. I find it cost effective and there is no waste, on fact some meals I even have leftovers which I freeze. Show details

I did not create an order, having stupidly given my card details to view the menu, I closed out of it. I ordered no items, but despite attempting every day to cancel the delivery when I saw the money had come straight out of my account, I still received food I did not order & cannot eat. I am concerned this will happen again this week as I have… Read more
had no response from Marley Spoon. There is no cooling off period or option to cancel. Paypal are investigating. This system is a scam. I regret being so gullible. Not even 1 star. Negative.
Not for me. It was more work than standard cooking. Down to having to make gravy from scratch!! If you’re getting this service to make things easier and save time, personally I think it’s the wrong service.
Beware of unfair trading practices and deceptive website tactics. I was unknowingly resubscribed and charged for a box that was sent to an address I lived at 5 years ago. Marley Spoon refused to refund me for unsolicited goods as per Australian Consumer Law. They deny any culpability on their end. Stay away!

No delivery - hard to rate as I didn't try the food. Attempted to get two separate orders delivered; however, they were delayed and subsequently unable to be delivered for food safety. service team, however, was so lovely and helpful, so points for this! I won't be trying to get a delivery again as i need something more reliable.
Really good variety in the menu the meat was good but not the steak it was tuff to eat even when cooked medium rare vegetables lasted about 4 days only but the recipes were nice one of the meals was serving size was really small not enough for 1 adult ans it was a recipe for 2 people Show details

I’m three weeks in ordering Marley Spoon and I’m mostly ok with it. I had the pre cooked Massaman Beef last night and the beef was stringy and chewy and I had to discard it. arriving but I had already spent extra on food and the customer service team offered no help or compensation. On top of that the meals contain protein that is highly fatty and rubbery - I could not even eat the chicken. Definitely do not recommend.
