weeks before anyone even looks at it, and then there is another long wait for parts from Maytronics before the repair is actually completed. During these long waits the pool gets progressively dirtier. For a premium‑priced robot, the cleaning performance is not enough to offset the repeated failures and lengthy, inconvenient repair process, and buyers should be aware that if it stops working, they may be without a cleaner for a very long time.

original cleaner. I wanted a basket rather than a bag. I wanted double filtration. I wanted to clean the walls and waterline. I have been using this cleaner for around 8 weeks and I have to say that I am underwhelmed. I have an older tiled pool with a bowl shaped bottom. It struggles with the slopes in my pool. It struggles to pick up leaves and debris that my old cleaner would have eaten for breakfast. I need to run it a couple of times to get all the leaf matter out. It hasn't set the world on fire for me nor lived up to expectations.
Works well, but a few things could be better – We’ve had our pool robot for a couple of years. The main downside is the cable—it’s hard to straighten, tends to tangle, and is tricky to roll up neatly (we ended up buying a cable storage reel). debris - it doesn’t touch the black spots in grout. The filter basket can be a bit fiddly to remove and clean. Connecting through the app is slow—it takes a while to connect and longer to turn on. In manual mode, the robot sometimes loses connection (about 40% of the time) and stops mid-way through. If the basket is too full, you need a hook to pick it up as it can't climb the wall. I’ve had to replace the foam rollers once because it stopped climbing walls. Overall, it works okay for general cleaning, but next time I'm buying a cordless one!!

machine is via a simple QR code and after downloading the Dolphin app, we were ready to go. There are a range of cleaning options available through the app, from a quick (1hr) floor clean to an intensive floor, walls and lip clean (2hrs). The app allows you to track the progress of the cycle with a finish time displayed. As you cannot swim while it is operating, we set it on its way during dinner. Our pool area is exposed to light debris and occasional leaves / twigs. After each cycle, it is spotless, too the point where we are using the cleaner approx 2 to 3 times a week. Once the cycle is finished, there is a command in the app for the Dolphin to return to the closest side, making the pick up quite simple. Cleaning is as simple as lifting the top hatch, taking out the basket and hosing it down. The only issue we have is a special one, with the recommended distance from the pool edge to the caddy while in use should be 1.8m Due to our pool area constraints, ours is closer, but there have been no issues. Overall, an excellent investment. And the best part? No vacuum hoses in the pool anymore. It looks great!
Dirt pool – Not really that happy with this cleaner .. tiger shark was just a drop in cleaner .. no mapping no programs no apps .. it had one issue it would get stuck on the main drain which was frustrating ..but once rescued it did a much better job .. I fear I'm stuck with this m600 thing for years now .. have to say .... not happy with it !!

Its a great cleaner – I have to say we didn't want to spend too much on a cleaner, but when we demoed the M600 we couldn't go back - it performed heaps better than our suction cleaner and we get to support our local pool store. Poor product and customer service – I had brought this product however have had numerous problems with the M600. I have had to return the cleaner on several occasions from not cleaning properly, not climbing the wall, replacing the power cable ($500) and now the robot is unfixable after 4 years due to a gasket failing and leaking water into the main board. chlorine levels however my pool is a naked system. I paid the quote to repair ($300) however Maytronics are refusing to reimburse after the diagnosis and will not communicate despite numerous attempts to contact, very disappointing on so many fronts.
Please do not respond with your standard pre written Maytronics email, as a customer we expect better professional service and treatment. As you have failed to even communicate I will be forced now to lodge with VCAT on both issues.

Power cable failure again – I have a dolphin m600 and it does a great job but now it's not working again it appears the power cable has leaked/failed again, It should still be under warranty but 2x power cable failures in 2 years is unimpressive. Show details

WORST PRODUCT ON THE MARKET – I rated this product worst product on the market because it breaks down, and after it breaks down and does not work the manufacturer maytronics do not want to have anything to do with the end user. you bought and for them to advise what is wrong with the machine. The usual outcome of the agents testing is "You need to buy a new machine for $3,600.00" I cannot recommend maytronics and their dolphin pool cleaners. My recommendation is to purchase a robo plus v2 the best machine on the market

as a Mechanical engineer I was able to do all repairs myself. To date, here is what I have had to replace on the unit: both tractor belts (wear), front roller brush assembly (broken), internal drive gears (worn, broken), internal drive bushings (wear), main lid (latch hooks broken), main cable (failure of swivel joint to rotate (replaced under warranty), filter basket frame (broken), and the especially expensive main drive unit (total failure). All totaled up, repairs are nearing the price of a new unit. However, I still love the functionality of the unit, especially as my pool is surrounded by trees and a massive amount of debris ends up in the pool. BTW, the unit lives in the pool and is on a daily 2-hour cleaning cycle, so it gets a workout every day.
Edit...As with my prior M500, I never use the caddy as the unit lives in the pool year-round. I wish the units were available without the caddy at a reduced price, as I hate to waste the unused plastic in the caddy.
Amazing transformation – We have a gold pebble pool constructed in 1986. Our salt water pool is beautiful to swim in however our old cleaner was not ideal in keeping the pool looking its best. it has never looked better. Cycles can run from an 1 hour to 2 hours or you can use your phone and drive for spot cleaning. Another great feature is the water line cleaning. To remove the cleaner simply swipe on the phone and it will drive up to the edge for you to grab the handle to extract simply house out the removable basket and you are done

effectively though, as with most, is less efficient on stairs. The filters are easy to hose clean and the filter basket size is generous enough and traps both leaves and fine dirt. The app can be hesitant to respond and can require some patience but it’s not a dealbreaker. Hoping it remains trouble free as would otherwise recommend and while I’d prefer not to have experienced it, the Maytronics service and support was professional and courteous.
Nice robot – I put it in the pool hit play, 2 hours later I pop back hit the app button on iPhone , ask bot to come to the service to be picked up. I look at the pool and all the dirt/leaves are sucked up by bot. Takes 5 minutes to clean bot. Hose it in/out/filter and put it away. Show details · 1
LOVE, LOVE MY DOLPHIN – I purchased my Dolphin Robotic cleaner to replace my 1st Dolphin that I had for ten years, which I worked it to the extreme. There is no other pool cleaner that can cope with the huge number of leaves that end up in my pool from the boundary of trees which are on the council reserve. Not as Advertised – Bought the top of line M600 to remotely clean the pool via wifi. It is useless as the unit eats the cord everytime it attempts to do the walls & waterline. Customer service had me try reinstalling the app and resetting the power unit via hotspot. That didn’t work and because customer service can’t figure it out, they will not return my many emails. Excellent, effective and entertaining – Cleans leaves, bugs, dust and occasional duck poo. While the Installation was straightforward, the cleaner initially had trouble and was trying to climb the walls like a drunk turtle, falling backwards about 30 cm from the bottom. it’s generally great. It’s light to handle and the cable doesn’t tangle. It’s taken away the onerous burden of owning a pool (cleaning), and made more time for the fun part - swimming! We love our M600.
Money well spent – Great little cleaner, cleans most of the debris but it seems to struggle with bigger leaves. It comes with ultra fine filter panels which can be used to catch finer debris. Only new but fantastic so far – Have now used fro total of 5 x 2 hr cleans - placed into a very dirty pebblecrete pool and was extremely happy with what it picked up in the first clean. them in the loop regarding the unit. Unfortunately the assistance was not too helpful with a suggestion that I get it sent back for a repair. Less than one week old and faulty out of the box, to me this was unacceptable senario. I then got back in contact with the pool shop who supplied the unit. Their customer service was 2nd to none, the proprietor informed me that they will visit my address to fix and/or replace with a new unit if necessary. This they did today and happily we have a New M600, which has all the functionality the previous lacked.
10/10 for the pool shop (Warner Pool Care, Qld 4500) for their outstanding customer care and doing the right thing. Just a pity Maytronics are poor at customer service and expecting customer to wait for repair on a dead on arrival item.

Great -you wont regret it – After 3 other pool cleaners over 8 years i finally have the one i want. The multi-filter system is great as i wash it out every use and its full of gunk. Mobile app is great .. pool has never looked cleaner.... I am now investigating if i can get it to start up outside of the pool under a bench seat, drive forward into the pool and start cleaning.
