The most professional and friendly group of people It's a stressful time when you have damage to the car but these people make the hard time easy. Cameron is fabulous he just takes control of the situation and fixes everything up. Cannot recommend this group highly enough I have been dealing with them a few years now and the quality and integrity is second to none Show details
On June 4th, 2024, I had my car serviced at the workshop and paid $3,186.25. Shortly after collecting the vehicle, I noticed the engine light was on. I returned the car on June 11th and was informed that the oil regulation valve was faulty. I agreed to the recommended repair and paid an additional $941. After picking up the car on June 18th, the… Read more
engine light came on again shortly afterwards. I find it extremely frustrating and disappointing that a business can operate with such poor workmanship and lack of accountability.
Roseville Artarmon Jeep DO NOT USE – Zero stars…do not go here. They never answer the phone. They treated me like a leper. Refused warranty work. Overcharged for parts. They have no manager or customer care service. They said my car had been vandalised when my wiper arm broke off on the M1…. It was metal fatigue, 2 other garages have confirmed this. But NO….pay us $400 for a new one… Read more
or leave please. Jeep Australia are doomed if this is how their agent deals with customers! I don’t think they will be worried by my review given all the other reviews are terrible. I picked up a replacement wiper arm for $75. The temporary manageress should be fired.

Got Scammed – TL;DR Do Not Go To This Place. I brought my Jeep to McCarroll's Jeep (Roseville) for service and maybe (without me noticing) I brushed against the corner of an unregistered car (lying there in dust).. It looks like a paint scratch from tyre on the other car (pictures attached).. and I don't find any mark on my car. I am not sure whether I did that… Read more
but they strongly claimed so I definitely considered that possibility because car was quite close. Then they demanded me to pay $2500 access.. I was not too sure of the rules and I have never dealt with such situations.. and office was in basement so there was no cell/internet signal to verify anything online.. so I trusted them and paid $2500. That guy misinformed me about the process saying I will get that back from my insurance etc.. and also tricked me into filling a form in the name of gathering information. I just complied, thinking this was all standard process in case of a crash. But when I was back home, I talked to NRMA (my insurance company) and they asked me that I shouldn't have paid them any money.. that both parties should have lodged a claim on their sides. Then while picking up my car after service, I asked them to refund the amount as per advise from my insurance but they refused.. saying its their policy that customer pays the access.. that they need access to lodge with their insurance. It was very disturbing experience.. I was feeling intimidated the whole time. I informed McCarroll's group through their website (given the experience, I am not sure whether I can rely on them anymore though).. Also as per advice from people, I am filing a bank dispute.. and going to AFCA/Lawyers if bank dispute doesn't work.

Fantastic service from the Service Dept – Only 4 weeks into our first big trip our motorhome - Fiat Ducati base - needed some mechanical warranty work done ... we chose the Newcastle workshop as we were able to stay with relatives. All the crew that we dealt with were great and kept us informed and sourced the parts required as quickly as possible. We would certainly recommend them and go back there again if we did not live in a different state! Show details
Ten out of ten McCarrolls VW Hornsby – Hands down the best customer service I have experienced. All of the people we came into contact with were enthusiastic for our business without being pushy. Special mention must go to Tamsin who was fantastic. I had spent the day with my daughter looking for a new car for her and after visits to 4 dealerships we arrived at McCarrolls. Tamsin… Read more
listened to our brief and delivered on it 100%. The fantastic service continued right up to the delivery of the car. My daughter had the joy of unveiling the car in the showroom and all the staff shared in her excitement, clapping and congratulating her. A bottle celebratory bottle of bubbles finished off a wonderful day. We will be back.
Extremely Helpful – I took my Jeep Cherokee in for servicing yesterday and they could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Justin, booked my car in for a diagnosis and service at last minute as my car was shuddering and unsafe for me to drive my 2year old. Unfortunately Jeep Cherokee are out of stock for fuel injectors for 6-8 weeks so Justin rang around wreckers and second hand part dealers. No luck but his efforts are much appreciated!

Time wasters! – Shady time wasters. List demo Alfa for sale with no pictures. When you ask for photos or to inspect the car they make constant excuses as to why the car is unavailable. The car is then miraculously sold when you actually confirm a viewing. Dont bother.
Terrible – Appalling service for a warranty/ recall issue when my car basically died. Informed me it would be 2-3 months for them to even diagnose my vehicle, so I was unable to get a another vehicle whilst they fixed mine. Had to speak to head office for them to do anything and magically my car was fixed within 2 days of contacting head office. When I went… Read more
to pick up my vehicle my keys were basically thrown down on the bench. No person advised or shown me where my car was now located so had to walk through the mechanics shop alone attempting to find my vehicle..
Another note, I did buy a brand new arkana off them 6 months earlier. But they couldn't of cared less about it
Shocking customer service – They serviced my Renault and the next day the car experienced serious engine issues. Took it back to McCarrolls and they advised me that the engine needs replacement. The car has only done 70,000 km, service was done by McCarroll's Roseville for the last 4 years. Two and a half months later, the car is still with McCarroll's, have no idea what's… Read more
happening. Hardly anyone answering my phone calls or giving me excuses that a part is still due to arrive from Melbourne. How hard is it to get a part from Melbourne? Shocking customer service. I've been spending a lot of money for hire cars over the last few months. They ruined my car and now keeping silent. Avoid this place..

Aggressive and won’t take responsibility when they supply faulty parts – Brought my car in for service and brake and rotor replacement. They said they don’t have genuine brake pads and will take a week so would I accept aftermarket. I agreed as long as they were quality. Brakes did not work well and screeched like crazy. They agreed to replace then charged me full price. They said only charge me for 1 hour instead of 2… Read more
hours labour to make me feel good yet my car sat for a hour and took 40 minutes of work only. Lady at counter said they logged work at 7:35 but car was still sitting at 8:25. Got car back at 9:20. Person was extremely rude to the extreme. Disgusted
If you a have Renault do not have your vehicle serviced here. They are no longer a Renault warranty service centre – They are no longer a Renault Warranty Service centre. Alfa Stelvio - great car but service leaves much to be desired – Our Alfa Stelvio drives well and is comfortable. We like it. It did recently have a faulty light on the dash, signalling an oil problem. The Alfa team on the phone were excellent and arranged a free tow to the service centre. The service centre took two weeks to correct the light in the dash. Recently, the car did get a small dent in the rear… Read more
passenger door. Someone dented it whilst it was parked. I asked the service centre if they could arrange it to be fixed whilst it was in the centre. They said yes and quoted $300 to fix it. They said it would take an extra two days to fix. I agreed. On the day it was to be collected I asked if the light and the door were fixed. The answer was yes. When I arrived the dent had not been fixed and I was told it would not be able to done for over a month. I learned two days later it would cost upward of $4000. I am not complaining about the cost. If that is the price, that is the price. I am complaining about the inaccurate communication and the fact that they had me drive to them before telling me the truth.

Terrible customer service – I would give no stars but have to give at least 1, I "bought" a 595 from them this week, signed papers, did finance from interstate, clearly asked that everything was included with onroad costs & was told yes everything included in the price, was called & had a discussion about taking delivery & that it would be another 2 weeks before i received… Read more

re: Screwed over by McCarrolls Newcastle – A used car was advertised on Carsales by McCarrolls, Newcastle. I placed a $1000 deposit to buy the car. The salesman congratulated me for the acquisition. contact with these crooks, at the Newcastle location, I felt very uncomfortable, while being treated as a 'persona non grata.' Wasted 3 days and $800 travel expenses. My family and I were left without a car for the Easter break. I filed a complaint with NSW Fair Trade. McCarrolls management refused to communicate with them. They failed to suspend the ad on Carsales . They failed to make the car unavailable to buyers . A shabby business to AVOID.
McCarrolls/Stellantis/Alfa Romeo - never again! – We purchased a brand new Alfa Romeo Stelvio last year from McCarroll’s Artarmon and one week after taking delivery, our excitement was dampened slightly when minor issues were encountered such as poor window tinting and low key fob batteries. However within the first month, we become concerned when more serious issues arose such as the… Read more
infotainment/GPS system blacking out randomly while the car was in motion on a number of occasions. Further, the parking/proximity sensors would intermittently beep for long periods for no reason and particularly when waiting at a set of red lights with no other car in front of us. We were asked by McCarroll’s to ‘evidence’ these malfunctions by providing video footage of when these incidences occur while the car is in motion (not an easy feat!) but we provided at least 5 video evidence. Our experience with the dealership and service centre (McCarroll’s) from start to end has been woeful and did not improve after escalation to Stellantis for a refund. In total, we had to take the car into the McCarroll’s service centre (Ferrari Maserati, Waterloo) for repairs on 5 occasions over a period of 4 months, each time unsuccessful in rectifying the problems. Following Stellantis’ involvement, the car was taken into the service centre for 3 weeks on one occasion specifically for a new replacement of the infotainment system. When the car was finally returned, and following our suspicion, McCaroll’s eventually admitted that the system had in fact not been replaced at all! Our persistent demand to Stellantis for a refund throughout the saga kept being dismissed/avoided and eventually declined, despite the extremely poor outcomes and customer service. The car was eventually fixed but the reputational damage to Alfa Romeo/McCarrolls/Stellantis was irreversible. Our experience has been nothing but aggravation and grief. Firstly at the car; then by the complete lack of service and poor customer experience. We have since sold the car (one year later). We will never purchase another Alfa or any other brand under Stellantis. Please be warned.
Great Car. Lousy Service. Questionable Dealer – Purchased a Alfa Giulia Veloce from McCarrolls in Artarmon in Jan 2018 (the car was a demo first registered in Mar 2017). Lovely car. At the time I wanted a 5 year warranty instead of the 3 offered as standard. They agreed. I was given an extended two years. Fast forward to Jun 2020 and a major fault on the car. at Roseville. They did a software update but the problem returned in October so I took it back and was told the vehicle is out of warranty. Explained to them that I had extended warranty and they said they would check back with the sales people (I had changed jobs and the email of the contract was sent to an email address I no longer have access to). It's now December and I'm still waiting for them to get back to me. Have followed up but can't get past the receptionist. Tried the sales people but they don't answer their phones. I took it to two separate independent Alfa specialists who informed me a fix may be as simple as an oil change and vigorous driving. Guess where I'll be taking my Alfa from now on. The fault is not with the people at the service centre - they're just doing their jobs as effectively as they can given they are very short staffed. Great car though. Would purchase again but from another dealer.
Warranty Work – We recently used McCarrolls at Newcastle for some Warranty work on our brand new Fiat Ducato (Multiple ECU Errors after just 30km ). trying to be helpful on a difficult problem which can arise on complex vehicles but weren't helped by trying to schedule warranty work in already long queues for other multiple different make vehicles & owners wanting service ..... Sadly it is another Family Owned Multiple Vehicle Manufacturer Conglomerate .... Time & attention to details & effective road testing & communications with customers are difficult....After a two attempts to rectify the issues the main issue was fixed (phew) but secondary issues remain .... We appreciated the efforts of under the pump stressed staff but sadly must back out to a smaller operation to get the final remaining faults resolved ..... A lesson was learn't .... Larger Family Conglomerate Dealers cannot provide a positive outcome no matter how hard they try due to cultural (profit at all costs ) issues in some circumstances .... From now on we will Support smaller more nimble operations outside main centres. We advise anyone to do the same . We took our motorhome to another fiat ducato service centre, who fixed the problem in 2 hours
Knowingly sold me a Jeep SRT with neumeous issues and left me to fix them – Bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 2016 from McCarroll's Artarmon NSW. I live on the Gold Coast. up to Qld. Finally got the car and the Airconditioning made a hell of a noise and the drivers side door hinge was clunking. Called the salesman and he said, that's normal sometimes they do that??? Thank goodness for a 3 month warranty as the driver's side seatbelt failed a few weeks ago as well. $800 just for a seatbelt!! Aircon repair was around $1600 and the door was $360 or thereabouts. Jeep Gold coast charged me $140 to just look at the problems which I still haven't been refunded from McCarrolls. I requested payment a few times and was told by [name removed] the salesman that he has nothing to do with that and he had sent it all to his manager, [name removed], 3 weeks prior. I had to send him 2 further requests before he responded. At no time did I receive an apology for his slack and unprofessional response time. He didn't even respond to me directly, I was just CC on an email to [name removed] the salesmen. I am very happy with my car and I don't regret buying it but what a shame this seems to be the new low standard we experience in Australia. My wife is Japanese and I agree 100% with her, that 95% of Australian Companies and 99% of Tradies are the worst! I have lived all over the world and many years in Japan to see, this is true. No shame, and they don't give a damn once they have your money.
Zero stars – 2018 Alfa Stelvio purchased, reported issues the day we collected, had to wait 6 weeks to be seen. 2 years of ongoing issues with significant safety risks to us, certified by Alfa Assist Mechanic when finally towed away, not 2 years old. Terrible Service – We bought a Jeep from McCarroll's Newcastle and have had terrible service since then. It has been constantly in for repair and ongoing issues that they cannot seem to fix. car towed and a week without the car not even an apology. We have had the car in several times and been phoned to say the car is ready for pickup and when we showed up they advised they never even looked at the car because they were too busy. Several times we have showed up for a service and been told we didn't have a booking even though we had e-mail and SMS confirmation. Our whole experience has been poor and run from these guys as fast as you can.
Used car buying experience – Worst used car experience ever. Once they’ve taken your money they lose interest. Had to be pushed hard to refund both a settlement figure and deposit. Salesman became angry when I asked him for outstanding monies amounting to over $20k. Tyre repair kit was missing from the car. Decided to buy it myself to ensure I got the model specific equipment. They will sell you a car, the service stops there! – I’ve had 3 experiences with this group. 1/ Bought a golf Gti from the Hornsby dealer many years ago, simple exchange of product for money. 2/ Test drove Renault at Newcastle dealer and fell in love. Was just about to hand over money and noticed the whole rear bumper had been repaired and repaired poorly. Salesman brushed it off as a minor thing… Read more
and was cheap as was a demonstrator. Got a higher spec model with 34km on clock from Essendon Renault for the same price. 3/ New Renault in with Newcastle Mccarroll’s for service and fix rattling sunroof and very minor air leak noise from drivers door. Issues: - got car back and there’s deep scratches on the dash - looks like someone has been resting heel of boot there while fixing sun roof. - sunroof still rattles - got car back and wife calls me in fear saying the door feels like it’s going to fall off while she’s driving. I check it out and she’s right. - back to service - someone forgot to tighten the bolts that hold the door on. Wow that’s a major mistake and not even a “sorry” from the typically arrogant service manager. Then says his “expert” looked at the scratch and there is no way they would have been as incompetent to cause it and we must be lying. So not bolting door hinges on properly isn’t incompetent? Has completely soured my first experience in a Renault and I will never give Mc Carrols any more business in the future. They, like most car dealers, are sweet to you until you need something then they ignore you. As an aside the windscreen on this car was a $1400 replacement so get windscreen insurance.

Customer Disservice – Bought my Cerato from Kia in Waitara in 2017 when it was Suttons. Started having problems with the AV unit. to get my 50,000km service to do it all at once only to be told its on order but there was a delay. We'll let you know they said...waiting....waiting...waiting. I'm now almost 55,000km. Enquired again then told I needed to send a video of the fault to prove the warranty claim. Why didn't they say that in the first place!?!?!?! Sent that and still waiting. Emails, phone calls, showing up at the service centre and told "it's not us it's Kia". In my opinion THEY JUST DON'T CARE! As far as I'm concerned if you're selling Kia then you are Kia. All this anguish and anxiety could be avoided with simple communication. Keeping the customer informed. Thank you McCarrolls for making me feel like I just don't matter.
Never buy from these guys-shocking service – Poor service from the start. Bought a brand new jeep but the customer care and service was terrible. They rarely call you back when making enquiries and constantly chasing them up for repairs etc. I do not recommend this car dealership and advise you buy elsewhere where they care. Will definitely buy elsewhere on our next upgrade.
Newcastle Service Centre a rip off ! – The rear lower tailgate locks on my Koleos failed and I was unable to open at all . happy to buy used – Just bought a used car through them, Car is in very good condition just as advertised. Robert was able to send extra photos via SMS showing any marks on the car and was able to meet early in the morning. Very accommodating and honest
McCarrolls Waitara – the sales team from McCarrolls being Liam &Robert were great very professional and easy and to deal with. This is the 2nd touareg I have bought from them and happy to go back in the future to buy another car.
Great customer service and quick finance approval from McCarrolls VW at Waitara – Alex was helpful and very well informed about each of the models I was considering before I settled on a Golf. The team always acted as one and Nev in fleet sales was equally as helpful. Alena in the finance team was equally helpful and professional and kept me fully informed as my application for finance went through the processes. None of the team members were pushy - a good team with a good culture.
Not happy – I am Not happy how I was mislead and how I was treated but management and I come to agreement and I will be getting my car on time. I gain nothing from our agreement.
Dishonest and Deceitful – Dishonest and Deceitful best sums this group up. Oldest trick in the book - and no wonder car dealers have bad reputations. McCarrolls Fiat/Alfa are champagne dishonest car dealers. Shonks. If you want to experience it for yourself just for kicks, ask for Michellina, Taitum or Tom or Kim - they're all in on it - and they will all happily lie to your face while offering you a complimentary cappuccino!
Personally I don't know how they sleep at night - but I found some comfort in buying a different car from a different dealer group in a different part of Sydney. Vowing to never again walk into their showroom helped my piece of mind a little too. Pity really - I have bought 3 new Alfa's and 1 new Fiat over the last 10 years or so.
