Got me out of a WFH jam - perfect outcome – Needed a specific Dell dock which, new price, was quite expensive. The Shailer Park store had a refurbished one for significantly cheaper. Ordered before opening of business and had it in hand before 10.00 the same day. The bloke made sure I had the right video cables and laptop ports to use it, I can't fault the experience. Product is working perfectly. Show details

Excellent Customer Service – I have called via telephone, I have attended the store in person and ordered online. All three experiences were seemless. Phone support was really helpful when I was trying to find an external NVME M.2 SSD enclosure. In store the sales person was super efficent and then gave me a torx driver to open my Surface Laptop, what a ledgend. For my… Read more

Deceptive, dismissive, Fraudulent and non stop lies – I took my graphics card into Megabuy for what should have been a simple warranty, still well within warranty terms, but got absolutely lied to throughout the entire process ultimately being the major cause of failing a graphics design course worth $14,000+ *They initially lied and (poorly)attempted to deceive me by advising I needed to contact… Read more

Gigabyte directly for any warranty issues - Which is illegal to advise people of in this situation. The reason i wanted megabuy to do it on my behalf was because i actually tried to contact Gigabyte, after a while of waiting they still hadn't responded.

*They lied about sending the GFX card to Gigabyte - opting to just send it to their own warehouse for a few days - I also have a reasonable suspicion they didn't even do that.

*They lied and put on a completely fictional showing, pretending Gigabyte will diagnose the warranty claim - Gigabyte knew nothing of my claim at all in fact.

*They continued to lie, saying they sent pictures to gigabyte and i should hear back shortly and actually gave me a completely fake claim number, as confirmed by Gigabyte.

*They lied about Gigabyte subsequently denying the warranty - Gigabyte knew nothing of my claim at all. Megabuy made the decision, entirely disregarding Gigabyte's strict warranty procedures.

*They physically damaged my card when in their warehouse(or shop), physically snapping some of the backplate mounts when they (deceptively)diagnosed the fault themselves - I truly believe my card was treated with zero care, as though they were always expecting to bin it from the very get go.

*They re-assembled the partially broken backplate, using the wrong type of screws for their location, incorrectly putting long screws where short screws should be and vice versa.

*They lost some screws entirely - The "professional technician who used specialised tools" didn't even bother to replace them after losing them - When I asked about this failed assembly they expectantly refused to admit any wrongdoing.

* They lied, no surprise at this point. The smallest specialised tool within this specific kit(as per above), that they themselves claimed to have used, is actually 1.32mm too big for the clearance required to fit inside of the cards small gaps, in order to unscrew/disassemble it. The screw mounts would be put under force and likely snap if attempted regardless, which happened.

*They then lied over and over - something in an email tipped me off to the card not being at Gigabyte at all, but at their warehouse. It took 5 attempts of avoiding my direct question "was this sent to gigabyte or did your own staff diagnose it?" before finally admitting they didn't send it to the manufacturer at all.

*They lied about the situation and rejected the claim themselves without any right to do so. To be very clear, this was gigabytes decision to make.

*They continually ignored the real issue that caused the failure, excessive uncleaned and still acidic/active solder flux residue- instead Megabuy opted to deny the claim they had no say in even denying, and based their pointless decision on the resulting damage of the excessive acidic flux - corrosion. This shows they had no competency in PCB diagnosis or worse intentionally ignore their responsibilities(wilful negligence)

*They wanted nothing but to continually e-waste my card at practically every single opportunity, but to such a degree it made me suspicious and my first early hint something isn't right with this business at all.

*They initially refused to return my property after they denied the claim they had no say in denying. I walked into the store to grab it in person as i no longer trusted a single thing regarding these lair's. I initially asked for it to be returned very nicely, but was rudely refused. I then became far more firm and told the guy "please mate, you can just stop fecking me around now, all i want is my card back" . the guy later claimed i was abusing him and played victim.

*Their story/excuses changed daily during my dealings with them, they even tailor made each lie as to outright avoid any legitimate concerns i had. My real experience and issues with the product always remained the same and therefor held up to the forever changing lying responses they'd offer.

*I had an professional PCB repairer look at it, who immediately diagnosed the real core issue as extreme solder flux residue that was not cleaned off properly or most liekly not cleaned at all. This was also my own diagnosis without telling the PCB repairer or influencing him in any way. It was very clearly a manufacturing issue. I said here is a card, what do you think? As this flux was so obvious and unavoidable to see, this should be considered, at minimum, very concerning for the competency level of Megabuys (fake)"technician".

*When i finally got contacted by Gigabyte i was literally about to go file this in court against Megabuy but thought i would here what they had to say...they were in complete disbelief with megabuy, gave me a huge amount of info on what megabuy can and cant do and they advised me they have never even heard about my claim. after further discussions I sent my GFX card to them directly, they didn't hesitate to approve the warranty claim when they looked at it, had a similar outcome to the professional PCB repairers and didnt hesitate to approve the warranty. infact, Gigabyte were great, there were honest. This means MEGABUY chose to do all of this lying and deceiving for NO REASON as it was a legitimate claim Gigabyte were happy to resolve

perhaps there was a reason....

*!!!!!They STOLE the serial number from my product!!!! Gigabyte has advised they are never allowed to remove serial codes because they can be used for fraudulent warranty claims and black market type dealings. the are a unique identifier.

Do yourself a favour...RUN! This place is beyond a joke I have owned 2 businesses in my life and never in my personal life or professional career have I experienced such a dodgy business that flat out lies through their teeth with such ease and consistency. Never have I spoken to somebody as arrogant, egoistical and dismissive as the managing director slivering snake, Nick.

Nick, please expect legal action in the coming future, failing to resolve your responsibility and instead choosing to deceive the entire time directly resulted in myself not have the crucial equipment that I needed, that I paid for, that I had warranty on. You caused me to fail my $14,000 graphic's design course and I will be coming for those damages when I can manage it in the near future.
