They won’t be transparent with delivery times and you will never get a truthful window and you’ll be waiting every day and they’ll never turn up. lucky my stuff wasn’t broken compared to what other people have experienced). The amount of times they told me their trucks needed a service or broke down is crazy, they shouldn’t even be roadworthy at this point. They will expect you to pay before you can even see if all your stuff is there. They don’t care. They wouldn’t give me my stuff until I took my reviews down about the bad service. Terrible company.
They threatened to keep our belongings if we didn’t pay and I told them I wouldn’t pay until I saw everything working and in my house. Tvs were laid flat, boxes chucked. No care. They go by several names. Oz Cheap Removers, Melbourne Cheap Removers, Super Cheap Interstate Removals. Avoid them. Do your research, pay more, or hire a van and do your move yourself and get transit insurance.
Beware and avoid this company – They were dishonour people. Very unprofessional when moving heavy stuff and chipped tiles in my apartment, twice. They also lost my furniture parts. No powered tools so very slow in dissembling/assembling and deliberately stretched out the time. Unfortunately I have wasted my time and money on them. Should have checked their reviews before booking.

Removed] do your move. Unfortunately I initially wasn't. I was told by the company that dismantling was part of thier services to start with which I ended up being so happy about as we were hit with gastro 48hrs before were were booked to move and hadn't been well enough to have it ready to go. Well that never happened. Day of moving two men showed up, straight away complaining about the amount of furniture I had and that it wasn't dismantled. While moving my sons bed they jammed it between the roof of the truck and the floor where it became lodged and inevitably damaged it. They then pulled it out and dumped it in the driveway telling my housemate he had to pull it apart himself. At this point I was tired of the attitude and how my furniture was being treated so I called the boss who was very apologetic and contacted the driver. After thier conversation he stormed into my house abruptly saying did you call my boss and continued to get more angry and aggressive. When I attempted to point out the damage we had watched him do he flat out denied it and became even angrier which eventuated in him refusing to move us and leaving the job. I'd also like to add that NO TROLLEYS were used they just dragged my furniture across the carpet and nothing was wrapped for protection. I've since tried to contact the company about the damage these men did but they won't return any texts or calls.
A truck was sent at 7:30 that night and I will be honest and say the men who attended were so amazing and professional but given what I want through its a risk I will never take again and please don't anyone else fall for this!!!

given I had people present at both properties. My parents at the double storey property was able to confirm that the guys moving the piano did the move the piano with the utmost care, making sure it didn’t scratch the walls, stairs etc. so gotta give them props for handling this difficult task of moving the piano down our 90 degree stairs.
It was just unfortunate that when I arrived at the second property from work I saw the piano slightly damaged. Have contacted them about the damages but they claim they have not caused the damage even though they were the only guys capable of moving the piano.
Lesson learnt for me for hiring someone to do something without me being present.

taking one small thing down at a time so that it took them longer so they could charge more. They damaged our cot, dryer, painting, scratched the fridge. They were throwing the boxes around with disregard to any of our items. They ended up taking the whole day to move our 2 bedroom apartment and charged us $1200. They were even trying to tell us that they needed to do a second trip to charge even more. They were unprofessional and even when we came to pay they were trying to charge us even more for the heaviness of the items. Save yourself your time and money and book with someone else.

furniture, drove to Rosanna and began the enormous task of moving heavy furniture (and a load of boxes) up two long flights of stairs WITH NO LIFT! This herculean effort took them 7 hours and no doubt took them 7 days to recover! It was a massive job and they did it brilliantly! Thank you so much. Now that I'm in the middle of unpacking and moving my furniture around, I can't believe they managed to do this on their own. A truly excellent job!
Awesome job by rock and ready perfect timing and reasonable cost – House was two bedroom house its like 15 minutes drive and start and finish within 4 hours which is great.
Efficient and careful – They were Very quick, and my stuff was well stacked. All of my possessions were looked after, and they were very accomodating. Friendly service!

Melbourne Cheap Removals - THE WORST! – They were on time, and even used some old used boxes they had to pack my stuff - great! a truck that could do the job, the truck was too small and a number of items had to be left behind. Travel time was basically a joke, excuse after excuse about how far the travel was ( 2.5 hours) I was charged for travel to my place from their depot ( across the other side of Town ,)another 2 hours, then another 5 hours to move, then according to he driver it took longer, another 2 hours. While booking this company I paid a $300 deposit which was to be taken off the final cost, this did not happen. When I rang to ask for it to be returned, I was met with mumbo jumbo, and confusion, the driver isn’t here, the manager is not here. A box which I had packed was labeled alcohol, the box is missing, a cost of about $350 If I could score no star rating I would. This company is bad news

Be respectful of the men in return and be considerate of the heavy work they do, the long hours on the road and the many continuous days that they endure away from their loved family.
Honesty, I would request my booking to be with these two men if I was on the move between States again.

worker was constantly getting phone calls and chatting on his phone and was at one stage lying down in the back of the truck resting. I don’t think neither of them were really fit enough to be removalists. They said they couldn’t move my office desk, yet my husband and I moved it ourselves the next day. When I called the company and said I wasn’t happy with the service or the price because it had increased $400 in just 17 months, the rude lady on the phone said unless I had video proof of them talking on their phones or taking breaks, there is nothing they can do except give me a 5% discount on my next move. Needless to say I would never use this company again.
*update the company contacted me and said they could refund me only $100 and give me 10% off my next move. They also asked me to remove this review in exchange, which I did initially. However I never received my $100 refund that they agreed to. This company is beyond dodgy and I would never recommend them to anyone.
Dishonest time wasters – Wish we had read reviews too. Terrible experience. Job took two days instead of one and double the cost. In order to get it finished we had to hire other workers at dispatch site for a few hours to make sure it was finished. Arrived late, lazy workers first day. Very stressful experience dealing with arrogant owner whose comment was 'it is what it is' when they were over 4 hours late.

handy??? Then when requesting they wear masks in my house they then tried to tell me it was too hot. I said sorry I'm immunocompromised, one guy thought this was hilarious...I called him out on his poor attitude and masks were worn, but not without a lot of coughing going on whilst inside our house. They then left the piano a metre from the wall. Also My husband had to do a lot of the heavy lifting as laughing man didn't have the strength.

Please avoid at all cost! Cheap is not worth it – 3 bedroom townhouse move over a small distance Cancelled our job at last moment coz of rain. Sent a smaller truck than requested the next day . People lacked experienced and kept on complaining to us for a lot of stuff. I told them I had requested a bigger truck but that was not sent. Such a bad experience! that needed to be moved even down to The storage shelf in the garage. I was responded to with an emailed fixed quote stating that this quote included all fees and charges for the entire relocation. I immediately booked and sent them a $100.00 deposit. On the day I received a telephone call and hour before they were due to arrive letting me know they were on their way.
The two men arrived on time in one truck as quoted, One of the men came in the house and wasn’t even through the entryway when he immediately said to me this job is going to cost you double now as we will need more time, taken by surprise I questioned him asking what was going on what was he talking about as I was finding it hard to understand without even doing the contents of the house he walked in with what I now know was the intention to immediately double my originally quoted price when I started to question him he started to stutter and didn’t know what to say he turned around and walked away from me and made a phone call. He began to speak a foreign language that I did not understand and after about a minute of speaking on the telephone he walked back over to me and said we will do it for $150 extra.
Again I question why they want to charge me extra and they said that the job is going to take longer I mentioned the fixed quote in an email and showed the young gentleman who has proceeded to tell me if I wanted to job done I will have to pay extra in cash and when I questioned getting an invoice when paying this cash he said they don’t give invoices at the job they get emailed to the customer after the jobs complete. In my eyes that are set alarm bells off. I told the young man I’ll telephone myself and find out what’s going on and when I want to do so he also made a telephone call again speaking in a foreign language the gentleman on the telephone told me that I have not given enough information and therefore they gave me an incorrect quote and I’ll have to pay more money.
I went on to explain to this gentleman that I sent an itemised email detailing the items that needed to be moved after I suggested someone coming to the house to give me a quote and was told that wasn’t necessary with [name removed] and then went on to then tell me all I had to pay was an extra $100 more and they will do the job at this point I was starting to freak out as I had everything organised for my move and my furniture and personal belongings had to be out of the house by the end of that day. I ended up agreeing to pay the extra $100 cash because I just needed the job done and we had already wasted half an hour trying to figure out what was going on I didn’t have any more time to waste after I hung up. I went outside to the gym then in the truck to tell them that I’ve just spoken to [name removed] and he has given the go-ahead for only $100 extra before I could even say anything the young gentleman I have been dealing with the second gentleman never spoke to.

I went inside and grab my telephone and by the time I got outside again the truck and those two gentlemen had left they had proceeded to drive down my street and I watch them drive away. At this point I burst into tears I have no idea what to do what was going on or how I was going to relocate household worth of items as it was now nearly 2 o’clock in the afternoon and I needed everything moved by the end of the day I was very much so left stranded. I telephoned back again in tears because I was so upset trying to figure out what was going on and why this is happened to me and I audio recorded the conversation as I had a feeling I was going to be ripped off I had already paid them a deposit, The gentleman was rude abrupt disrespectful making accusations stating that the two gentlemen that arrived at the house didn’t feel safe around me and had to leave... two men felt unsafe with a young woman on her own questioning giving them extra cash without a receipt... I asked for my deposit back and was told that I had to send an email request in my deposit back and I’ll refund it it wasn’t until the next day I sent that email requesting my deposit back as I had to quickly re-organise high movers as I was left in the lurch therefore having to pay the new movers more money understandably because of the late notice and I was lucky enough that I was able to find someone who is available to carry out the job.
It has now been nearly 3 weeks since the incident and I have sent three emails asking for my deposit to be refunded with no response and no refund I am absolutely appalled that this company finds it and acceptable standard of customer service to intentionally life cheat and scan their customers not only is moving house stressful process enough as it is customers rely on this company to honestly and safely handle their personal items and possessions. I’m a fair person and understand that sometimes things take longer and Jobs can be under quoted however as a business owner myself if you’re prepared to give a quote without physically inspecting then be prepared to stick with it. I honestly believe that something dodgy was going on and that they were intending take cash from me for themselves because why else will someone give you a quote then proceed to demand more money in cash only without providing a receipt on the spot. This company has stolen $100 from me and refuses to give it back and after the customer service I received on the day I’m taking the time to write this review so other people in a stressful time like moving home don’t have to deal with an additional stress dealing with such an unprofessional business such as Melbourne cheap removals. I am going to proceed to file a complaint with consumer affairs as no one deserves to fall victim to a scam when all they are trying to do is seek a professional service. DO NOT RISK IT!
DON’T HIRE – They were suppose to come between 1:30 and 2:30 pm but never came. They kept calling and said they would come and it got later and later. When it was finally 8:00 pm I had enough and told them not to come. DO NOT HIRE! I wasted a whole day and took a day off work for nothing.
Stay Away – Was only a simple job moving furniture up stairs. Destroyed the sofa then refused to compensate or even return emails/calls. Already reported to ACCC for their dodgy conduct. Use anyone else besides these guys.
Seriously should've checked for reviews before booking – Big Mistake and they are not even here yet, booked in a week ago for a 8.00am start for 2 trucks and 4 workers. and he tells me I have to pay for 2 trucks to return to depot and it will take 2 hours for them to get there, thats a total of around $660 on top of the removal charge, they said they have to come from Thomastown but when I booked I asked the person taking the booking and they swore black and blue the trucks would come from their Kilsyth depot which is an hour away from me.
Idea??? I will ring their office well the young lady there made some babble about the phones asked me to ring their mobile number (which I already had to no avail) which i told her so she said she was putting me on hold to speak to the boss which I agreed to and she promptly hung up.
Having serious thoughts about cancelling and hiring a truck and doing it my self but it was health reasons that made me hire a removalist in the 1st place. And to make it worst they make you pay up front and if you don’t they pretty much say I’m not moving this til you pay me.. how do you know how long itl take, they made me pay $250 for 1.5hr Job but they didn’t refund me 1.5hrs they just made an excuse that they need to be paid to go back to Thomastown. Plus on top of that my house that I was moving too was only 1km exactly so not far at all(I asked in email how much itl cost they knew it was from murrumbeena but they never said an extra hr to go back) They write on paper 8:40am but they didn’t start moving any of my stuff til 9am so that’s already an extra 20 mins! Mover with a broken arm, AWFUL customer service from the office – By far the worst customer experience on the phone I have received! There were no apologies about the long delay, there were just numerous excuses and the guy going off his nut at me. There were two movers, one with a broken arm but ironically he was the only one actually doing anything. 3 hours to move about 25 boxed a kilometre - could have done it quicker and cheaper by loading a couple of Uber's up!
Dishonest, Unprofessional, Not cheap – 1 bedroom, 40 metre apartment took 3:30 hours for removal to a 5 minute driving destination. 2 guys were friendly but too slow and not professional. If I wasn't there, I will have bad damage to the both property and furniture. Very stressful day.
