I cannot thank the team enough for our move. As stressful as it can be they were calm, patient and got on with the job. The company provided options and advice and super quick to respond to our queries Show reply
Priscilla and her team were wonderful. We changed our booking several times and they were not troubled. The two gentlemen who did the move were incredible. So hard working and attention to detail. We have used them twice now and would use them again in a heartbeat. Five stars!!!! Show reply

I probably should have read some of there reviews on this page before booking with this company, as it appears their unprofessionalism, gaslighting/bullying tactics, and arrogance is an integral feature of their service. Everything about our move was a disgrace. From arriving late (then charging us from the incorrect time), to refusing much of our… Read more
belongings, forcing us to organise additional people to help move us. Damaging items and refusing to take responsibility. 5 hours to pack a 3 bedroom house - their email correspondence said average 3 hours. Offering dismantling service but either not bring the tools (apparently a Phillips head screw driver is a speciality tool, and requires us to ‘notify’ this is needed prior?!?) resulting in them stuffing around with our bed head for 1.5 hours (while we were still being charged!) or asking my husband to complete the job as they ‘did not have time’.
But the kicker was when we arrived at the new house. They stopped work and requested payment in advance (when being paid by the hour?) without any invoice. We were told if we did not pay straight away they would close the truck and ‘it’s gonna cost you much more if you don’t pay’. So we paid. Against our best judgement. But…. Wait for it. 1 hour later they
Stopped work again!!! They did not receive the payment via OSKO so demanded payment ($1800) AGAIN. They blamed us! While spending (over the whole day) arguing with them about their service and payment request around two hours - of which we continued being charged!. They said cancel the first payment (6:30pm on Friday night - bank not open to call) they said it was not their problem and it was our fault! They also said things like ‘if you don’t pay, we are leaving here 20:30 pm regardless - you are running out of time!’ We found this to be intimidating and bullying tactics to force a second payment.
The next day (after working out payment in my head (as we did not received an invoice until four days later after emails for it) realized we had over paid. Mainly they had not returned $100 deposit which would ‘come off the final bill’
Email correspondence with the ‘charming’ [Name Removed] was belligerent, dismissive and quite frankly insulting. Nothing about our experience with this company was positive.
After very little customer service from [Name Removed] and [Name Removed], we have lodged a complaint with consumer affairs (they said the more recorded complaints they get the better their case, so if you experience the same, please report!) VCAT complaint lodged. And also emailed A Current affair, as there are so many of us with the same story, I believe they have a great story to expose these con artists!
Please think twice before using this company.
Oh, and [Name Removed] why does your website say 20 years experience when your ASIC extract states that you registered the business in 09/09/2015? Based on our invoice and this statement, I suggest maths is not your strong suit?

Do not use this company. 1) Arrived 1 hour late. 2) Crashed into our street tree and ruined it. 3) Smashed our door off the frame. 4) Then held our furniture for ransom. 5) Refused to return deposit after duplicate charge. 6) Belligerent office staff and rude related driver. WORST removal services in Melbourne!! Avoid at all costs unless you like your furniture damaged, being disrespected and them not insuring any damages. 1. Unprofessional and rude customer service. Smoking breaks which lasted between anywhere from 5 - 20 minutes. (Which we are paying by the hour for.) Smoking in the truck were the furniture is being stored and now unfortunately our couch smells like smoke. We do not smoke and it has left such a revolting lingering smell. 3. Damaged 3 pieces of furniture. That I have seen thus far. 4. The dinning table, chip on the top corner.(photos attached). 5. Our buffet table (photos attached), they unfortunately snapped the legs off when trying to put it on the side. They have screwed new holes into the buffet table to rectify the issue but the piece is now different prior to moving houses. 6. A drawer to a bookshelf. 7. Withholding furniture until payment was made. 8. They were very very slow. Moving a 3 bedroom house took over 12 hours, which doesn't surprise me with the amount of breaks they took. 9. They were unable to lift certain heavy items and asked for assistance. Due to this I am being told that they cannot insure an item that broke.
Extremely unprofessional and horrible customer service.

I used Melbourne Removals & Storage for a move between two properties on 14 March 2026 in South Yarra. During the move, multiple items and both properties were damaged, including visible impacts to walls/fixtures and cosmetic damage to a high-value loft bed (approx. $3,000 purchase value). I documented the damage and provided evidence and repair… Read more
quotes. An independent quote for the property damage alone is $800.
The company’s response was limited and did not address the full extent of the damage. They offered $150 for wall repairs (significantly below the quoted repair cost) and suggested repairing the furniture themselves without providing clear details on scope, quality, or outcome. The remaining damage across both properties and the furniture item has not been adequately addressed.
Communication was fragmented, often consisting of brief one-line emails that did not substantively engage with the claim.
The invoice provided also showed an outstanding balance despite payment being made, which required follow-up.
The matter has been escalated to Consumer Affairs Victoria and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
Recommendation to others: Take detailed photos before and after the move; confirm insurance coverage in writing; be prepared to pursue formal dispute resolution if issues arise.
If others experience similar issues, Consumer Affairs Victoria and VCAT are appropriate avenues to seek resolution.

Emmi and his crew (3 in total) were fantastic, arrived on time and worked a very long day without stopping, must have been 6 hour travel, stacked mine and my daughters 4 bedroom 2 storey home at the final destination like expert Tetris players, all under a house in a carport that was too tight for what I have but they made sure it wouldn’t get… Read more · 1
wet. I gave an inventory list to Priscilla in the office and she sent the perfect size truck. My stress level was high at the start of this adventure but the whole team made a stressful situation a joy. The crew had to drive a huge truck into an unmade service lane then up a driveway of gravel, which impressed me when my daughter said they had arrived and rebuilt her pool table. I would definitely use Melbourne Removals and storage again and ask for Emmi’s team. Well done guys

Three movers arrived 30 minutes late in a van that clearly wasn't big enough for the job I needed. They broke a handrail in my new apartment while moving my couch and took no responsibility. her email) , which was an out-and-out falsehood. She was extremely rude and threatening. I took photos of the damage (which are attached here), and they denied any responsibility. [Name Removed] claimed the movers mentioned the damage on arrival, but that didn't happen, as my new apartment was spotless with no damage to anything. I asked one of the movers to come back to my apartment whilst I pointed out the damage, and he was very apologetic and told me I would be compensated. I marked boxes that were meant to be moved upstairs in the kitchen; however, they were just dumped in the spare bedroom downstairs, whilst I had been clear about where I wanted what put. [Name Removed], one of the business's owners, the person who came to my old apartment to provide the initial quote (a week prior) - everything he told me about the move and what they could do for me turned out to be a fantasy. To top it all off, he turned up at my new apartment to try to intimidate me and told me they would discount the move, given how it had gone to that point (and that was before the damage they caused). They take no responsibility for anything; their terms of business basically hold you for ransom. The move was a nightmare; the company's owners, [Name Removed]and [Name Removed], do not care at all about the experience they provide people. This is by far the worst move I have ever been involved in. You can use them at your own peril.

Worst removal experience I have ever had. I wish I had have found these reviews before booking. before they touched it. Photos taken are in the truck. Couch was definitely not broken prior. The manager, Jessie I found extremely unprofessional. She refused to call me after repeated requests. I found her email responses rude and dismissive of my concerns. Besides the broken furniture they didn't take all of my belongings. I was told they couldn't fit in the truck but if it was packed correctly 2 large artworks would be placed against the walls of the truck. Since reading previous reviews my concerns don't seem to be isolated but the company don't appear to take any responsibility. Steer clear at all costs. Not a reputable or honorable company.
Wowee - definitely exceeded my expectations Vivek, Sukh and Lovi were bloody amazing. Incredibly professional and I was super impressed at how well they were able to move my piano. They were very friendly, polite and competent and if I needed a Removalist in the future I would pick these 3 beautiful gentleman in a heartbeat. Thank you guys, you rocked. Show details · 1

I was not very happy with these guys at all. Let me be fair and say one of the removalists worked really hard. The other guy was very overweight and absolutely useless. He was lazy and used no initiative whatsoever. There was so much stuff to move… Read more
including many boxes and he just stood there waiting to be told what to do. Because of this, the move ended up taking about 2 hours longer than it should have. At $143/hour, you do the math.
The removalists left a lot of stuff behind which I had instructed them needed to go on the truck. They told me to move my computer in my car. I told them I did not have a car yet they still left the computer behind.
I also found the service to be very impersonal. The movers knew my name. The guy who worked really hard called everybody "brother" including his work colleague.
There were several times when I heard him calling out, "Brother, brother, brother..."
I assumed he was trying to get the attention of his colleague or on one of the MANY phone calls he took while he was on the job - but he was actually wanting my attention.
I didn't like it when that guy spoke to me because I don't think he had used his toothbrush that morning. It was revolting.
Several days after the move was completed, I noticed 2 holes in the ceiling & 2 holes in the wall of my new place and they were the exact same shape as the brackets on my bed! (Photo attached)
I emailed the company and told them some minor damage had been done but they told me it was outside the 72-hour claim period. They are refusing to do anything because of this technicality.
After moving, I spent several days at my old property cleaning it. I wasn't spending time in my new place looking for damage and I brought it to their attention as soon as I possibly could.
Moving has got to be the worst time of your life and yet this company only gave a 3-day window to report damage. I do find that to be very insufficient.
Lastly, I found their credit card surcharge to be hugely excessive.
In short, I would NEVER use this company again. There is ANOTHER company out there and they promised to beat any quote by 5%. I wish I had used them. One of my friends used the other company the following week and said they were absolutely brilliant.
In summary:
Melbourne Removals & Storage: DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!
Follow-up · I still see the damage in my apartment EVERY DAY and I fear that when I move out, I will lose some of my Bond deposit. entire bedroom up and half of the other but the guys still told me they weren’t sure if they could fit everything in. Then they told me they couldn’t move the cross trainer as it was too heavy. Never had that issue before and they offered no solution. I rang [Name Removed] who was conveniently out but was able to text and all I got was “Can’t they? Sorry.” So I had to organise that to be moved separately. Then despite me reminding them 3 times and bringing it around to the side of the house for them, they forgot the mower. They took 9 hrs for the move, about half of that in the truck figuring out how to get the furniture up the steps. They only took the bbq around the back at my insistence as were suggesting it was going to be too hard. They almost dropped the fridge and a bookshelf going up the steps and managed to scratch our new floor. Then they had the audacity to say a tip would be nice. NEVER again!
Follow-up · I would have expected them to come with appropriate equipment given I listed it when signing them up. They could have organised for further team members to help out or for the x-trainer to be picked up separately. They didn't seem to know how to get the heavy furniture up the stairs.

despite multiple written demands and photographic evidence. They have not replied to our last email (which includes exact measurements of our belongings and further proof that they had overcharged).
Our items were also stored with another customers belongings with no dividers or demarcation to separate property. They insisted this was still safe as they "always have managers present" however without any inventory of our items, there was zero protection from theft or misidentification. They claimed that this was their only storage option at the time due to our emergency circumstances (as if this omitted them from safeguarding our belongings?). Due to our concerns, we demanded a written inventory of our items which was never provided (despite us asking for this x3 times in writing).
On the day of removal, they also placed multiple of our belongings onto wet floors meaning that our items sustained preventable water damage after their attendance.
If you try and make a complaint to them directly, you will receive a poorly written email response that takes zero accountability and is defensive (the same nature as their responses on this review page). We have formalised a complaint to consumer affairs. This company is the definition of unprofessional, negligent, and incompetent
