Received the bike 1/4/26, however NO BATTERY, 8/4/26 still NO BATTERY, I did get a free rear puncture though straight out of the box $12 for a new tube and can’t even ride it yet ☹️

Extremely happy with the quality and robust feel of the s700 and the prompt fix off the issue that I had.

On line staff very helpful and accommodating with payment options and advice. Bike quality is good a units are very solid. Guards are a little rattley but this is overcome with a couple of cable ties. Overall very happy.

Performs as expected.Provided new leaver on seven speed gear controller which had been broken prior to delivery.Not a simple installation.Live on Gold Coast.Can you provide bike shop that can install?

Bike is good thanks. Probably accelerates a bit faster than need be when you start pedalling. Also I regret not buying the model that has rear suspension. Otherwise very happy. Tyres are excellent in sand

Have ridden a few times, getting used to the controls. Quite powerful. Will put it to purpose in Spring, when it's a tad warmer! All looks good and well made. Perhaps I will report more in the Summer. Yes, I'm a fair weather rider, in mitigation, I will be 73 in September.

when the issues started. First of all the bike turned up with no instructions on putting it together. I did find instructions on the website so no real concerns there but would be nice to be told that or include instructions in the box. The bike was not that hard to put together but did take 2 people and some thought. Not a deal breaker or the reason for the 2 stars. Once together though, the bike motors did not work and the screen was coming up with an Error 2 message. I contacted Merx who again were very responsive and requested a video of the bike not working and the error message. I sent it and was then told the bike was faulty and seemed to have shorted all the electrics. They advised they would overnight me the parts to replace them myself. I obviously was not ok with this option but was told it was the only option as they have no one in QLD who can repair the bike for me. I asked about replacing the bike and was told this was their policy so I begrudgingly agreed to receive the parts. That was as on a Friday. The parts did not arrive overnight as advised they would but I cut them some slack as it was a weekend. By Tuesday though I contacted Merx again to find out where the parts were and was told they are coming from China and will be another 3-5 days. So now I have paid $2500 for a bike I cannot use for 2 weeks. The parts finally arrived, again with no instructions on how to install them. They told me originally it would be easy to change as it was a controller and some wires. What turned up was 2 controllers, 8 cables and harnesses and the main screen. And whilst it was all doable it was very time consuming and not at all easy. Maybe it is for someone who does it all day every day. So I get it all changed out and sure enough it does work, however the bike is not what I expected. It does not feel like a normal bike to ride. The torque is way to high even on the lowest setting of 1 and so one revolution of the pedal and you are doing 20klms an hour which makes it very difficult to ride in a group. Great if you want to get somewhere fast but not for social riding. And the bike is so heavy that if you turn the electrics off, you can barely ride it. So all in all a disappointing experience. Pick this bike if you like DIY repairs and you want to travel really fast by yourself. Steer clear if you are after something that is easy to put together and easy to ride.

provide a cushioned ride, so the Fat tyres and front shock deliver that. Shimano gears are a treat to use and do expect years of trouble-free riding. I must say the Merkx distributer have been excellent to deal with with after service care. Delivery was so fast it caught me by surprise for such a large package having bought two S700 step through bikes. Some installation is required but instructions are reasonably clear, and most tools are provided. I fully expect years of trouble-free cycling. Only criticism I have is a rear light assembly should be included. Regards to the Large 48v battery pack provided it will more that provide for a day's riding even in hilly terrain. Hydraulic brakes guarantee my safety. Pedal Assist Settings (PAS) are quick to get accustomed to and help to make your ride enjoyable as you decide on the level of effort you put in.

Great, very speedy service – Exactly what I was after as a 1st time ebike buyer. Great value for money. I have now purchased a 2nd ebike for my wife.

Fabulous bike – Fabulous bike. I live in a very hilly area and the bike takes the hills with ease. I have 4 other e bikes and NOTHING surpasses the quality of this bike and a most reasonable price. The after sales has been fantastic and no question is "too hard" and is answered within an hour. Recommend this bike and the company to anyone. Well done.
