discussed various options, he thought it best to visit on site, to discuss. He was very knowledgeable and went through several options, certainly didn’t try to up sell, and explained the optimum set up for my property useage, ie my 2 pool pumps, size of house aircon units etc. He went warranty details of equipment & workmanship and certainly came back to me with a competitive price, also organised documentation for the VIC Gov battery subsidy, all documentation throughout was explained and queries quickly answered. The installation was organised, and as as per our previous experience the 5 man team arrived and went about installing the extra solar panels & our battery unit, all done in a day with minimal disruption and total clean up, left with a fully operational system. Received a phone call from a electrical inspector who came and certified compliance of the system. In closing we can fully recommend Metro Solar, if you want to deal with a well organised, reputable company who deliver a quality product at a competitive price You should consider Metro Solar.

should be able to install for you before Christmas". When I was completing the details to go ahead I realised I was applying for a government loan and the amount was in addition to the amount I had been quoted. At no point had I been told there was a loan involved or advised of any details of it and the amount of the loan was in addition to what I had been quoted. When a quote says total $2999 I expect that's what I will be paying not another $1400 on top. When I questioned this I was told "all quotes by everyone are done like this". At that point I still decided to go ahead and paid my deposit by credit card over the phone. The deposit was supposed to be 10% as stated. An additional $200 was charged to my card. When I questioned why they had taken in excess of the 10% ($299.90) I was told "we always take a $500 deposit. Metro Solar are an approved Clean Energy Council approved solar retailer. The Clean Energy council states an approved retailer will ensure the sales representative will act ethically at all times and not engage in any dishonest or misleading advertising. Upon questioning why my credit card has been debited for more than the 10% deposit I was spoken to like an idiot and told "we discussed it" At no point was it discussed or did I give authority for more than the required deposit to be taken from my account. It's now almost a month since I advised I want to cancel the installation and have my deposit refunded. I was advised the accounts department probably won't refund the deposit but I haven't received anything in writing to advise of this. I have followed up three times with the Sales Manager and was supposed to get an answer 3 days ago. I don't trust what they would be installing on the roof. I will be taking it further as this is not how an ethical company does business.

provide and install the system for me. I wanted a company that understood where the technology was at and could guide me through what was appropriate for my purpose. I also wanted a company that did what they committed to do and when they committed to do it. My other fear was that after I’d committed to the sale, the service would then become unresponsive.

After looking at a few companies I settled upon MetroSolar who I couldn’t be happier with. The salesman Jordan Loone was a key part of my decision. He is an enthusiastic young man who couldn’t do enough to help and was innovative with his thinking regarding my requirements. If there was a detail that he wasn’t sure about then he had access to high level technical knowledge within his team. I was impressed with Jordan when I gave him the chance to put down his competitors product. He declined the opportunity and gave me an honest description of those products. Jordan’s integrity and honesty did not disappoint me for the duration of the project.

I was also delighted with the remainder of the team who came to install the system. They all worked like a team in a fluid and efficient manner indicating they knew what they were doing and that their team skills were working well. All of the documentation and forms required were organised well and on time so that the new system cutover without a hitch.

When the inspector came to check the job later he commented that the job was very well done compared to some that he had seen.

In summary the system is working better than I had hoped and it was a minimum of fuss to make it happen. I would certainly recommend MetroSolar to anybody who is interested in obtaining a solar system.

Excellent Service – I recently got a new heat pump hot water service installed after my old one failed. Metro Solar made it all so easy, they responded very quickly and did an excellent job with the installation. With limited north facing roof area the panels were split across East, North and West. Initially I had some concerns in panel locations being too close to gutter inhibiting my future pergola development plans but Jordan was more than happy to adjust the layout a few times until it was something that would maximise solar generation whilst maintaining clearance for my future planned build.

Once the formalities were finalised, Jordan was quick to organise installation with the actual install being a neat finish and only taking 2 days, if only I could say the same about the commissioning the system and organising the meter config by the energy companies. Metro Solar assisted in moving this along where possible.

It's been a few months since the installation and the system performance has been exceeding my expectations having being in credit on our energy bill since the feed in tariff was setup. Very happy with my decision to deal with the Metro Solar team and would not hesitate to in the future.

Then came Zac and his installers arrived to fit the panels on the roof, ensuring they were positioned so as they could not be seen from the front of the property. The installation was seamless and team members answered any technical questions.

Then finally Anthony follow up with a "Solar completion" email notifying our retailer, "job completed".

What impressed me with Metro Solar is that they have in place a very good "end-to-end" process that works.

Great System – Easy to negotiate a deal with Chun. Installation would have been OK, but trying to de-bug a dodgy inverter kept the installers there 'till dark. Eventually resolved after a 2 weeks of bad weather , but good honest communication throughout. System works well and reliably, and the app is great for seeing what's really happening up on your roof.
