Appalling Customer Service
I previously made a service call as of last December 2020 to get a technician to come over and resolve a 20-year old Wok part that wasn't igniting. Took 20 minutes of waiting in the call service to get a service call organized. Once the technician arrived, he realized that the issue lies in a damaged spark plug and had to reorganize a gas agent to arrive as he doesn't have the necessary qualification to install it. The technician promised us that we will receive a call-back within a few days for the gas agent to come by. Waited over a month for...a response and never got a call-back, so decided to call the service support for this issue. Proceeded to wait over an hour in the queue just to be referred to another company. Avoid this product at all cost as it will only continue to be a waste of time for you, you're much better off with a different product instead.

Miele customer service
Purchased a washing machine but never got the drain elbow as indicated. Called MIELE customer service and waited excessively on the phone before getting someone, explained issue and she said ‘oh I don’t do that I have to transfer you’, I said what ?
Anyway another excessive wait finally found someone to talk to but as can happen call went bad as I was on a mobile, asked him to call me back. No call back.
Called again found the same person in Spare Parts, lied and said he called back. Then accused me of putting him on hold ? Said anyway he h...
Absolutely appalling company, buyer beware, don't go near Miele
We bought a $2500 Miele dishwasher from Good Guys a few months back, big mistake...our issues with this company have been never-ending.
1) They didn't contact us to let us know that our dishwasher was available for delivery, we had to call them. At no time did they tell us installation was recommended.
2) It became clear that installation should be recommended. We can't make heads or tails of the complicated instructions, fear installing ourselves as don't want to ruin a very expensive product through a dodgy home install and Miele have wiped ...their hands of it. They can't even give us the correct details of a local installer and are extremely rude. 3) I have contacted Miele about a proper solution for my installation and they are now avoiding my emails, Facebook messages, I filled out an online enquiry and even requested contact through online chat. No contact at all. Complete silence. Our unused dishwasher now sits in the kitchen in a box, completely useless, sometimes serves as a bed for our cat, all while I await to hear if we can track someone, anyone to install it for us. I have given the product quality one star as I have no basis to judge the quality of the product as it sits in my house unused.
Miele: Very Disappointing After Sales Support
Bought a dishwasher at Harvey Norman for the house I bought recently.
I was told that I can cancel if I find out that it would not fit after the settlement of the house but before the delivery. Unfortunately, it would not fit after we measure the kitchen carefully so I cancelled it (before delivery), but no refund has been made as of after 2 days plus (the support said 24 to 48 hours).
When I called their customer service, I had to wait for 10 minutes before I was able to talk to someone, and another 10 minutes plus after I told all my detail...to confirm the cancellation. Then, the support person asked my card number, and I somehow had a bad feeling, so I asked her to confirm the number. She had it record wrong.... After all these. On their website, it says my order is still waiting for delivery....
Miele - disappointing service
Booked my service appointment 19 days ago with photo of broken part ( came back from holidays for service ) service man cane without part and was given wrong model number ( been a customer for 20 years ) - can’t get part or service for another 3 weeks - this is a systematic problem with Miele products - a product is only as good as its service - so so disappointed

Miele induction cooktop KM 7574FL, I wish the zero star is available
Just bought the Miele induction cooktop KM 7574FL in October from Harvey Norman, with the 10 years warranty deal, and it literally stopped working on the day before the new year while we were cooking the new year dinner. Both large cooking zone not detecting pots, and an ERR 412 code will display briefly before it shuts down automatically.
Called the Miele hotline, discussed with the lady, and was advised the next available service call will be on the 1st of February, which is one month from now! We paid the premium, and would hopefully expect...some premium service. Definitely not something that breaks in three months, and then one month to be serviced. And let me help you sum up some Pro and Cons: Pro: It makes food warm while it works. Cons: 1. It has a flaky firmware/software, it went in to display mode randomly, and had to be manually reset. And the reset is not straight forward. 2. It has 4 cooking zones, all have so-called boost mode, but only one can maintain in high power, or you can have four level 6, or the cooking zone would randomly shut down. Good luck with your stir-fry.
Buy a different brand - not worth it!
Purchased a WCD120WCS washing machine on 5 Nov 2020. Within a week was getting F50 fault and machine wouldn't start program. Would only operate intermittently. Rang Miele on 3 Dec to book service (on hold for minimum 30 minutes, majority of the time it's 45-60 minutes on hold). I advised the fault error was F50. Earliest booking we could get was 21 Dec 20. Technician inspected machine and confirmed it was an F50 Fault (motor & electronics need replacing) unfortunately he was unable to fix on day as he didn't have parts (even though I advised them of the fault on 3 Dec). Earliest date for repair would be 14 Jan 2021. This is appalling service not to mention the hours I have spent waiting on the phone to Miele.
Bought 5 Miele appliances for our new home. The cooktop and the Rangehood do not do what they are suppose to do after you spend about $7000. The cooktop was replaced as the first one had a faulty circuit board. The second one (hope not a refurbished one) the flame does not hold for 2 of the 5 burners. Their customer service is the most horrible one I have ever come across. I regret spending so much for such appalling appliances.
Miele washing machine failure after two washes
Had a Miele washing machine model WWG 660 installed on 28 November 2020 and have only used it several time since there Today Saturday 2 January 2021, the machine stopped working as the control panel just died. We have a big load of after Christmas washing to do urgently, but nobody is available until Friday 8 January - a little less than a week for now. This was an expensive purchase so why should it fail when I know even relatively cheap brands don't just die so soon. So disappointing. There is now way of sending Miele an email and smart sods that they are, text messages are blocked - only telephone calls accepted which can take 30 minutes or more to elicit a response. how I revgfret buying their products
Miele vacuum cleaners aren’t what are used to be
My mother had Miele vacuum cleaners during the 1980s and when I moved out of home I purchased one as they always did the job and we’re exceptionally well made. Nowadays they seem to be made of a much lighter, poorer quality construction and the suction and reliability is nowhere as good as the last one we had. What went wrong?
We bought a house full of Miele products for our new home - 10 appliances in all - we chose Miele because we believed that their pricing would mean excellent after sales service. This is not the case. When phoning to book a service call I have waited on the phone for more than 30 minutes on all occasions. On two occasions I have requested two service technicians as I have a stacked washing machine and tumble dryer - on both occasions one technician arrived and another appointment had to be made, after waiting for up to a week for the technic...ian this was extremely frustrating. So... I booked my latest service on line, requesting two technicians and an appointment of 8.30am to 5.30pm was locked in. At lunchtime I was phoned by the technician to say he was unable to come around as there was on-one available to help him - not his fault - the booking system is floored. This particular booking was made a week ago, locked in and then cancelled. I was then told that the call out would be after Xmas - I find this completely unsatisfactory. This is not the fault of the technicians - they are professional and good at what they do - the Miele booking system is completely floored. I have called out other companies to my home and have never had this sort of delayed service. I would find it very difficult to recommend Miele.
Wish I could choose no stars....Never buy Miele
I purchased a Miele washing machine in June 2020. The touch screen froze for the first time in October but after a couple of hours it worked again and I just carried on. The same issue occurred in early December and I was subjected to 1.5 hours on hold to Miele to try and get a technician out, when he came he put the computer on it and said it was fine. That afternoon, another issue occurred and the screen went black and the door locked. I called the technician, he came back the following day and indicated that there was an issue with the touch...screen and ordered a replacement part. This part was not due for two weeks. During the 1st week after the part was ordered the machine would work intermittently. However, at the start of the second week it stopped working all together. Being on hold for 1.5 hours wasn’t an option for me so I contacted Harvey Norman (where I purchased it from) who contacted their Miele rep, who never contacted me. I called harvey Norman another 3 or 4 times over the next few days to try and get some sort of resolution as I had washing for my family of 6 that needed to be done. The technician came again 2 days later, fitted the part and 30 mins after he left the machine stopped again...I’ve since requested a refund and purchased another brand machine today.....Im absolutely appalled with how I’ve been treated by Miele since my washing machine started playing up. No follow up. Rude staff, unfulfilled promises.. I can’t wait for my refund and I will never recommend Miele to anyone..thank god for Harvey Norman as they were the only ones that were truly interested in helping me. Even the Miele rep was rude and unapologetic.. A team leader from Victoria attempted to assist initially but provided no follow up and I could not get back in touch with him when issues continued.. I’m simply disgusted with my treatment from allegedly one of the best in the business. I paid a premium price and thought that I would get much better service than this. Buyer beware!!!!
Is miele made in Germany anymore
Well i will never buy this brand again, i personally know more than 2 other families who had microwaves same model as mine which lasted 6 years very light use... we all threw them out.
There doesn't seem to be or i cant find "made in Germany "sticker anywhere .
Stand to be corrected.
I have asked the question as yet 3 months ago on this site No answer.
Absolutely appalling service.
The drainage pipe on my eight month old dishwasher started to leak. I rang the Miele service number and it took 40 mins to speak to someone and another 20 mins to tell me that a technician couldn't come for over a month. So much for the reputation of quality and service.
Very poor service.
Ordered appliances months ago, held up somewhere in shipping, finally arrived, asked if we could pick up appliances from factory to meet builders deadline but Miele would not allow us to and insisted on delivering directly to cabinet maker on last day of schedule. Delivered to wrong address and Miele unable to locate. Very disappointed with Miele and retailer in Bendigo. Very poor follow up and customer service through retailer who seemed unable to get any response.
Not Even Fit for Purpose
We have owned this freezer and matching fridge since 2010. It has given us no end of problems. We have replaced handles over and over. The door seal split and the WHOLE DOOR had to be replaced. The drain blocks and water goes all over the floor (this is poor design, bits easily fall into the drain and block it up). The plastic strip on the back of the shelves designed to stop things from contact with the back of the fridge dislodges easily and things freeze to the back wall....However, this is nothing compared to the issues since May 2020....The fresh zone of the freezer stopped holding temperature and was regularly cycling up to 8 degrees...door seal was split, and therefore replaced. The replacement door from above had rusted (less than 2 years) and was replaced on warranty, but didn't arrive until October. By this time the fresh zone was reaching 13 degrees and was growing mould. We had to buy a cheap fridge to get us through. The door and seal were replaced in October, and things got worse, the freezer also stopped working, would not hold deep freeze temperatures or make ice. Turns out it was the wrong door, does not have a magnet to tell the fridge the door is closed.... the replacement door arrived and also does not have the magnet. This was November the 6th, now December 15 and I have heard nothing about fixing this issue. I am left with a magnet sticky taped to my freezer door and my fresh zone still not holding temperature. Now 7 months since my fridge worked, and 4 call outs....
Worst service ever
Puchased a new Miele oven this year. From the get go one function has not worked and it took 3 service people 3 visits to fix this. On going to use this function yesterday, it doesn't work again. Called Miele today and waited for 80mins, being passed from person to person, with no one able to book a technician and apparently no managers available to talk to me regarding this extremely poor service. For any brand this is ridiculously poor. Will not buy Miele again and cannot recommend their service in any way, shape or form
So disappointing, never again
After having a Miele dishwasher that worked perfectly at our previous home, it was an easy decision to purchase another Miele at our new home. This is despite a builder friend saying they wouldn’t recommend going there again, “as they are not the same as they once were”. If only we listened to them!
We have had the service tech here now three times in less than two years and we are now waiting again for whaat will be the fourth. Each time it takes at least an hour on the phone to beg for an appointment that you have to wait for 3-4 weeks fo...r and take the whole day off work. When we had the audacity to ask how many times does the thing have to break down before it would be replaced, the response was that it should be fixed “this time”, and your warranty runs out soon anyway. An absolute disgrace and never again will we contemplate a Miele product again which is such a shame. Thanks Ian Ps: my guess is I will receive the following response, “Hi Ian, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience of the matter. If possible, can you email your full name, the state you reside.............”
Dishwasher. Repaired under warranty begrudgingly. You’d have thought I was asking for a kidney. That was approx 2 years ago. Now failed again. Just had quote to fix. $1200. Never buying Miele again. Expensive, over hyped rubbish.
Don’t expect the after sales support & customer service after you’ve bought the product- it’s appalling!
You spend a lot of $$$hearing how great miele products are but expect the rudest after sales service with no help & waiting for over an hour on the phone for customer service. Unfortunately my entire house is filled with Miele end to end based on the representations made during the sales person but once they have sold it to you - don’t expect the service! Save your money & spend on companies they have much better customer service. We have waited over 6 months for a service call!!!
Questions & Answers
I paid over a $1000 for a Miele dishwasher nearly 4 years ago. Thinking I was buying a high end product I didn't buy the 5 year warranty.... During a cycle there was a loud bang & smell of smoke from the dishwasher. It just stopped mid-cycle with water in the end. We're thinking it's the motherboard. I contacted Miele, I have to wait a week for a technician ($179 call out fee) to come out Christmas week. Any ideas/advice if the motherboard is a manufacturers issue or should I bite the bullet & get a new dishwasher... which won't be a Miele. TIA
I only do one or two loads of laundry a week… I have had my washer for a couple of years… Checked the blue detergent and it is barely used… The clear liquid is about 2/3 gone… What am I doing wrong…?
