Last Miele washing machine lasted 20 years
I actually have ordered a new washing machine to replace the old one,and just now thought to look at reviews.I feel a little concerned now.It is coming today so too late to change. I will do a review when I have had it for a while. It is a WCE330 8KG. I have a Miele dishwasher which is 5 years old and fine. Maybe only the people with bad experiences write, and there don't seem to be so many so fingers crossed.
Miele - Never Again
I was a Miele devotee. In fact I was a total Miele fan boi. But now I'm 43 years old, the brand I was buying in my 20's, and the brand my parents got me to love has let me down in every single appliance I have ever owned. My T8823C dryer was a total lemon, and at over $2,000 spent I feel like an idiot. Look up the reviews.
My front loader washing machine lasted 6 years before it started squeaking. OK 6 years. But it cost me $2,700.
The 1st dishwasher I replaced after 5 years, the 2nd Miele another 5 years just tonight I have spent 2 hours p...ulling out return valves and cursing. It needs a new part costing $200. OK Miele, in the 'old days' the glory days, I would have been happy to pay your prices for luxury and product reliability. You have lost me.
GREAT SERVICE AND CUSTOMER CARE!!
Miele has been in our household for over a decade. I'm neither biased, nor am I an obsessive fan that believes, "Miele or nothing!". We have had consistent experiences with Miele service and customer care. They have been wonderful in assisting us with anything related to minor and major repairs for dishwashers, vacuums, electric grills and even washing machines. As you can see, due to our positive experience, we continue to purchase their products. My mother has recently had her 10 year old Miele dishwasher repaired for the second time. T...hey have all been minor faults and haven't cost an arm or a leg to repair (between $100-$200). As you know, these products work hard to keep us organised and clean, when something goes wrong, the whole house falls apart. Each service visit has been different, but thorough. I commend them and their products, more importantly, I can't help but continue to speak highly of Miele in general. It is worth the money you spend because the amount you spend is not relative to the price of the product. I found other brands to be cheaper in price, but more expensive to repair or cannot be repaired, compared to Miele.
Avoid Miele service, in fact avoid Miele products
Beautiful products with average reliability and expensive poor service.
It takes an age to get a service call. If you need to telephone to book a service call have a good book handy as the wait is considerable. A service call is likely to be a week to 10 days away.
I have an older dishwasher which has only operated a low number of cycles. I have had four service calls for this machine. My old Bosch went 10 years without need of servicing. My current Miele had the same chip fail twice. The second time it failed I was advised to junk the ma...chine, despite low useage. I declined that suggestion and asked for the machine to be reassembled and voila! It worked and continues to work fine. My Electrolux fridge recently needed a service call after I had left the door ajar during a weekend away Electrolux offer a $145 plus parts repair service which was organised for the next day and completed without drama. Moral of the story...if you are buying a new appliance, check out the repair service by trying to book a service call before buying the machine!
Not worth the money
We've only owned our Miele appliances for 2 years, and we've already had to repair our dishwasher, our Speed oven/microwave combo and now it looks like our built in coffee machine is faulting as well. We've had 3 different Miele repairmen in and they each stand behind the products and say Miele is the best on the market, so don't understand why we are having so many issues. I would not recommend anyone to purchase this brand as if you are out of warranty, the repairs are VERY costly.

Say their Products are tested for 20 years use, but barely get 8-13 years without a major rebuild of Appliance
Yes, I know tested for 20 years doesn't mean that's the warranty, but it certainly lulls you into a false sense of security with what quality product you THINK you are buying.
We built our dream home and moved in 2007, we wanted everything to be long lasting and reliable. So, we thought buy "Premium Brand White Goods" Ha!! What an expensive decision that turned out to be. 1st it was the dishwasher G220SCI $1799 at 8 yrs old it needed over $800 spent on it (I complained to Miele and received a rebate on the parts) wind forward another 5 yrs and ...
The worst dishwasher and repair service we have ever experienced.
After taking the day off work last Thursday to wait for a Miele repair man that never arrived we were already extremely frustrated, then the repair man came last thing Friday afternoon without the necessary parts regardless of the number of times we explained which faults we were experiencing over the phone to the service department at Miele. We were then left with a dishwasher that didn’t work and the promise of a repair today, the repair man returned for the second time without the necessary parts and wanted to charge us for the two call outs.... We now have a dishwasher that doesn’t work and no idea how to fix it. The customer service has been unbearable and the phone line is barely audible when you ring Miele to speak to someone. It’s hard to believe that in 2020 one could experience such archaic and shocking after sales service. How is it possible that a company like Miele could continue to send repair men out without the necessary parts. Time for a new dishwasher and a new company!
Miele Customer Service - Do not use ..Terrible
Stay away from miele
I am a senior property developer and in the late 2000's we banned miele from a major Qld project due to their terrible customer service.
Things have not changed, two months and they are still to come and repair my miele microwave??
1. Mid January - on hold for 1 hour to book a repair and I asked them to order broken spare part. Was told that they can book third party technician now or wait 2 weeks for miele technician. I agreed to wait 2 weeks.
2. Early feb - received sms from bunnings that they will be sending technician.....
Worst customer experience I’ve had in some time.
I have moved into a new property with all Miele appliances.
1. The cooktop looks terrible after only a few months. The ring burners are impossible to clean. And two of the burners are intermittent at lighting with some occasions where they won’t ignite.
2. The rangehood is ineffective
3. My Twindos WCE670 stopped dosing detergent within three months. a third party repairman attended the property and said it was a faulty pump and the parts would be delivered in 2 days. After 4 weeks the parts have arrived and it’s getting fixed next week. De...

Excellent Customer Experience
I recently had a problem with a my $1,700 washing machine. Miele's service rep assessed this as a major fault, which would cost a material proportion of the value of the washing machine. The machine was out of warranty, but within a time that you would reasonably expect the machine to last. I contacted Miele via email@example.com with the details and asked them to review.
They quickly assessed the situation and resolved the matter to my absolute satisfaction. The communication was excellent. It is not obvious what they could have done better.
Thanks Miele. Great experience.

Amazing products and second to none service
I moved to Australia in 2011 from Canada, where Miele is not well known. We made our first purchase of a pair of Washer and Dryer in 2013. Since then we've added two dishwashers, a steam oven, 4 vacuums, a coffee machine, fridge and freezers.
All have been excellent and extremely reliable. The company goes out of its way to give the best customer service possible. I've dealt with several employees from tech that have come out to fix minor issues or perform maintenance, and sales staff at Frenchs Forest and at their headquarters in Melbourne.
Not one problem
I purchased a Miele washing machine and heatpump dryer 5 years ago,I've read all these negative reviews but no one wants to put on a good review.
I'm a service technician not with Miele, and my experience is they are a good product ,man made and nothing in this world is perfect.
I will buy another one when this one fails, but i will fix it myself.
Great product thankyou Miele.
Avoid Miele Gas Cooker & 90cm oven.
We purchased both appliances 3 years ago, The cooktop is the worst one I have ever purchased. From the beginning the burners started to stain and rust. The glass top is impossible to clean and was advised to purchase a microfiber cloth and cleaning products from Miele which do not work. The alarm keeps going off everytime you clean the glass plate and you need to reset it. After 3 years the cooktop looks old and warn.
My oven needs to have the seal replaced constantly. The material used is not up to standard, but we are
made to pay top money. I would not buy another Miele product again and would not recommend this product.
Stay Away From Miele!!
Good luck....... We thought we were buying an appliance with great service support.
Couldn't get through on the phone to even book a repair person, so filled out inquiry online - no response back. I got an independent repairman who didn't know what an F50 fault was...... Finally got hold of Miele to ask this question to help out but they said they wouldn't tell him because he wasn't a Miele repairman. Then I got a txt response from Miele to fill out a customer satisfaction survey, but only on something called 'Whispur'. Eve...

No reaction from Miele Customer Service after failed attempt to repair dishwasher
After my (less than 3 year old) Miele dishwasher broke down, I tried to request a technician appointment from the customer service request form of the Miele web page. This resulted in no response from Miele. I then called Miele customer service to book an appointment. After 15 minutes wait time I was told a technician is only available with over a week wait time (due to the rain they told). They also told me I can better look around for a local technician by myself. Then I booked the Miele technician with the long wait time ($179).
We paid a premium 5 years ago to acquire a G6300SCU based on the supposedly legendary Miele reliability. The machine started showing a F24 error a few weeks ago so we decided to call the service centre. We got charged $213 ($179 call out fee + $34 for an additional 15mins) to be told that replacing the heater relay didn't work and that they were not sure what the issue was (perhaps replacing the control board which would cost $600+)!
The machine served us only 5 years, not even running a cycle everyday! This is completely unacceptable given the price! Miele is using their brand name (gained years and years ago) to sell junk machines at a premium price!
We will never buy Miele again and will advise people to stay away from it too!
Worst experience ever
Currently 3 months and still ongoing. My pensioner parents bought a few Miele applications for their kitchen renovation and the rangehood just seemed stuck on 3rd/highest setting and made a dreadful amount of noise. Had their technician out 3 times to date, a number of missed appointments and never got follow ups as promised. Personally have to call up and chase each time to make numerous booking attempts and find out what was wrong or needed to be done. Each visit never complete. What had happened was finally a switch that was missing was inst...alled but didn't make a difference and blamed lack of duct into ceiling as cause but didn't make sense as to why switch didn't make difference in the amount of noise which was the original issue and how a lack of a hole into the roof would cause such a commotion. My pensioner parents had to spend extra for a new duct and installation which proved that ducting was not the issue as the duct made no difference to the amount of noise that the unit was making. Escalated to the area sales rep who said will organise technician again and said will replace if unit faulty but as yet to receive date/time as to when technician will be out again or a call back for that matter. Would never recommend Miele to anyone as I would never want to subject them to this kind of experience ever.

Questions & Answers
In Feb 2019 I purchased the WKH 132 WPS 9kg Twin Dos washing machine. Initially the clothes came out smelling worse than when they went in but it transpires that the technically advanced automatic machine has to be manually told to use the built in detergents. By manually selecting the 'Dos' button every wash the smell has resolved however the clothes are not particularly clean. Despite routinely separating colours, darks and whites every time my whites are grey and dull. The service technician has been twice and runs diagnostics checks, tweaking the settings, but the problem remains and my frustration grows. I would like to know if Miele could consider an alternative response or advise me of my options.
Hi Sandi, thanks for your questions and apologies for any issues you are having. Confirming you are selecting whites vs colours as the twin dos system does dispense a different ratio of ultraphase1 and ultraphase2 dependant on that selection and then different amounts dependant on the soiling level selected. We recommend you book a service call using https://www.servicebooking.miele.com.au or if you have any questions don't hesitate to call us on 1300 464 353 (please be aware these contact methods are for Australia only). Kind regards, Jack.
