I bought a $2500 Miele washing machine that broke down repeatedly from 2 years onwards. The technician who came said it required $1100 to replace the drum after only a few years of light usage. Then left after charging a $199 call-out fee just to tell me it can't be fixed! NEVER BUY MIELE

We replaced out old dishwasher with a miele, the cost was an issue fo me as it was quite pricy over $2,500.00. There was a sale on and the price came down to $1,999.00. I was sceptical with the dishwasher cutlery drawer, the tray also adjusts. But it is amazing., adustable and fits so much more than a cutlery basket. It fits all my larger dishes… Read more ·  1

as the top drawer can adjust, and it adjusts on an angle, not just up and down. This dishwasher has honestly been one of the best I have ever owned, over 30years. It washes everything really well. I have now had this product for 12mths. And has different programs that are functional. I also use the Miele products too. Tablets, dishwasher cleaner etc. I cannot recommend this dishwasher highly enough.

Still learning about this machine. Store. Karrinyup WA. Excellent presentation and products on display. Be careful you’ll get hooked on their products. Staff. Always well presented and very courteous, great product knowledge except for some of the finer technical details however they were able to obtain the answers to my queries. We were mostly served by Anne L. Who is a great ambassador to the Miele brand. She could not do enough to be helpful with added anecdotal notes of her personal experiences using these products. A very genuine lady.

Miele is the best – Eight years ago, we bought a Miele washing machine and dryer. A few weeks ago, a Miele technician inspected the washing machine and found that the drum was broken. At that time, we decided to buy a new one, considering it had already been used for over eight years. Very surprisingly and delightfully, we got a call from the Miele dealer in… Read more ·  1

Australia and was told that the drum has a 10-year warranty. After checking internally, they decided to give us a brand new washing machine for free. This news made us extremely delighted and also made us deeply appreciate the importance of buying the world’s beat brand.Although the Miele washing machine seemed a bit more expensive compared to other brands when we first purchased it, now in hindsight, the Miele washing machine has truly proven to be worth every penny. Our whole family unanimously agrees that Miele will be our first choice for future purchases. Miele’s after-sales service is top-notch, and so are their products! We thank Miele Melbourne for their impressive service. Thank you! Jian and family

Mile's on line info: OUR MIELE TECHNICIANS AND SELECTED SERVICE AGENTS ARE REPRESENTED THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY AND CAN BE AT YOUR HOME WITHIN A VERY SHORT TIME.

So it wasn't what we expected, but no other choice? So we agreed. Then it seemed to me that the interest in the conversation with me had surprisingly changed. I was informed in detail about the ALL cost of Miele service! This part of conversation was detailed and really on Miele top high level.

After 8 days, we received a message that the technician would not arrive. No apology just message we call you back back.

We are very unhappy this is not acceptable, not from very top line appliances company. So, be ashamed, Miele.

We just bought a $6,000 washer and dryer from Miele. I am not reviewing the product here save to say I will never be buying the twin dos products nor the dryer fragrances as insufficient information is provided about them - specifically what they contain and if they have been tested on animals. Certainly there is something nasty in them as you… Read more

can't get it on your skin ... and we were warned not to do this several times - so why would you put whatever that is on your clean washing?

No, this is a review about the delivery and installation service, paid for .... despite the high price of the products. We also paid for our old washing machine, which was still working, to be removed.

First of all we found it very hard to buy our washer and dryer online namely because we could not put both the $60 washer installation fee and the $60 dryer installation fee in our basket at the same time, one just kept dropping off. The second problem was that we wanted to stack the dryer on top of the washer and there are three stacking kits to buy and no real explanation about which one was suitable for the washer and dryer we bought.

When the delivery was made the stacking kit was not on their invoice (it was on ours, as we had paid for it). The first issue was the attitude of the delivery guy who gave me a massive lecture on how he couldn't do his job properly because I hadn't bought something I obviously needed to buy. We had bought a stacking kit, but when I showed him the invoice he didn't apologise. Next he lectured me on how I needed to call the number on the top of the page blah blah blah. Basically he kept no spare parts in his truck and couldn't install my dryer. Then he wanted to leave the dryer in the middle of my lounge room. Instead of asking where I wanted it, he made several quite st^pid suggestions about where it could go. Men like him just need to go out and get a job that fits their egos. Trying to demonstrate you are a big man in your menial delivery job in this manner is completely unacceptable. Ultimately, he was not even doing that job properly.

We later found out that there is a glitch in the 'system' that had taken the stacking kit off the delivery docket.

But my real complaint is not about the main delivery guy, but his assistant and the second installer. It was the first assistant's actions (and lack of appropriate action) that resulted in my kitchen flooding twice before I figured out what he had done.

We had paid for Miele to take away our old machine as it was going to be very difficult for us to take it anywhere. Even if we wanted to give it away. Our old machine had been situated under the kitchen bench and plumbed into the kitchen sink outlet. When the assistant unplumbed and removed our old machine, that was all he did. Please see the photograph below for how he left the plumbing under my sink, open and able to repeatedly flood my kitchen until I figured it out.

He did not mention to me that the had no tools to seal this off and that my kitchen was likely to flood, or that all the things I stored under the sink, if they were damageable by water, would get damaged. So they did : it was a real mess.

Then the next day another delivery/installaton person from Miele came to install my dryer. And at first I was inclined to think, wow that was nice. (I had not discovered my plumbing issue at that point). But, he was not someone who installed domestic appliances as his usual job, and despite being told by one Miele customer service agent that we had bought the right stacking kit, it turned out we hadn't. Nonetheless he installed our dryer using it. See the photograph below for results. And despite not using a spirit level to check the level of my machines he assured me it was all level and good. The dryer is not directly on top of the washing machine because the stacking kit has not been placed centrally on the washing machine.

I am finding the machines quite noisy when both of them are working, and I wonder if this is because the stacking kit is the wrong one ... or because the dryer is not balanced properly ...

In addition, we wanted the heat pump dryer plumbed into the trough next to it so we did not have to keep emptying the water canister. According to Google AI, "Most Miele dryer models come with a built-in drain hose that allows you to route the water directly into a sink, standpipe or siphon." When the dryer was installed (after some 45 minutes, because the installer didn't know what he was doing). I said we had wanted it plumbed into the trough, and we had discussed this with the customer service agent who had told us it would be done. The installer told me that couldn't be done. I pointed to the hose attachment that allows you to anchor this drain hose into the sink and said; "Don't you use that?" He looked me in the eye and said: "No, you don't need to use that because you have an exhaust fan, which you will need to run continuously whenever you use your dryer."

Given that most of the Miele heat pump dryer drying cycles take about 4 hours, if I were to do that, I expect my exhaust fan motor would burn out within the first week, and isn't the whole point of a heat pump dryer that it doesn't require additional venting? This claim was just an excuse to justify and support this man's refusal to plumb our dryer into the trough.

(By the way, I personally think that the behaviour demonstrated by these men is why we have such high levels of family violence in Australia, and if we are serious about reducing the number of Australian women murdered by Australian men each year, we need to continuously challenge this garden-variety misogyny as a standard, community-minded response ... Plus we need to stamp out bullying within and from all levels of government ... but that's another series of stories)

Anyway I am not letting another Miele service person into my house ever again, I am obviously never buying another Miele appliance, and the first time something goes wrong with those machines, I am getting rid of them.

And if you are thinking of buying any Miele appliances, I strongly recommend that you have handy, capable man supervise their delivery and installation so you can effectively challenge the delivery guys on their lies and their incompetence.

And Miele Australia ... this is simply disgraceful.

Got a new Miele Dishwasher G5210SCCLST from Miele along with Installation from Miele done on 2nd September 2025 and the dishwasher is now displaying F70 fault code for some leak inside it since Sunday - 7th September 2025. be some other error that their technician will have to confirm. The technician is supposedly available on 14th October 2025 which I am completely unhappy with. I asked them to prioritise it and they shared the details of another service provider (not Miele technician). I called this new service provider to find out that they don't even service our area (we don't even live too far from the city). Went back to the Miele support and now they said they will try to send someone tomorrow. The technician will check the machine and see if it's repairable. Now the question is, WHY should I have a repaired dishwasher within the first 10 days of purchase. I did not pay for a refurbished machine but for a NEW machine.

With all this pathetic experience with such an overly expensive shitbox, I would never recommend Miele to any of my friends or family. They have ZERO regard for their customer. Get any other brand that values the customer. They guarantee the product quality for 10 years when the product could not work for 10 days.

I am more keen on throwing this dishwasher away and getting a new one. Sub-standard product, service and ownership.

That did not happen.

Miele was contacted again at 9:42am, and this time the advice was that the delivery should arrive within the hour. Again, that information was not accurate.

After escalation, Customer Care advised that the delivery would now be between 12:00pm and 2:00pm, blaming “bad weather” in Sydney. The weather was not severe — it was only sun showers — so that excuse did not match the reality.

This is unacceptable communication from a premium brand. The ETA was unreliable, the updates were inconsistent, and incorrect information was provided multiple times.

customer. I fitted out my entire kitchen with high-end Miele appliances, and recently spent over $6,000 upgrading my previous Miele washer and dryer. Unfortunately, their recent customer service has been incredibly disappointing.

Due to a major family crisis, caring for my palliative stepfather and elderly mother, my kitchen installation was heavily delayed. The manager at Harvey Norman suggested I contact Miele. When I tried to contact them to align my warranty with the actual installation date (which was supported by an electrician's installation certificate I provided them with), the experience was frustrating.

Not only did the phone numbers on their website repeatedly give "call failed" messages, but my emails went completely unanswered. I finally got through to an offshore call centre using an alternative number sourced via Harvey Norman. The staff member had a heavy accent which made the call difficult to understand and I had to ask them to repeat themselves a few times.

I directed them to my previous email and explained the situation. The team member told me that Miele's policy is for the warranty to start at the installation date. They then consulted a supervisor and came back apologising saying no they wouldn't do it. I asked to speak with the supervisor directly, explained the extreme family circumstances behind the delay, and emphasized my loyalty to the brand and clarified that the appliances were all working fine and my request for the warranty date change was not due to any current issues with the appliances but simply to update the start of the warranty to the correct installation date.

Despite all this, they flatly refused saying sorry you were given the wrong information. Being given contradictory information, struggling through a difficult offshore call, and being ignored via email is not the standard of service you expect when investing heavily in a premium brand like Miele.

My parents bought a Miele washing machine because their previous Miele lasted around 25 years without major issue. Unfortunately, this machine has not been as durable as… Read more

Miele advertise.

After only around six years, the machine developed a major fault and can no longer properly operate on warm wash cycles or complete the maintenance wash required under Miele’s own instructions. For a premium washing machine, that is simply unacceptable.

What has been worse than the fault itself has been the handling of the issue. For weeks, my parents were bounced back and forth between Miele and the retailer, with both trying to avoid responsibility despite clear obligations under Australian Consumer Law. It became exhausting and honestly embarrassing for companies that market themselves as premium.

Eventually, after constant follow-ups and arguments, Miele agreed to repair the machine under ACL obligations — but unbelievably still insisted on charging travel costs for the authorised repair technician. After weeks of stress and wasted time, my parents have effectively just accepted it because they’re over the endless back-and-forth.

The old Miele earned the company loyal repeat customers for decades. This experience has completely destroyed that goodwill.

I was genuinely considering buying a new washing machine myself soon, and based on this experience there is absolutely no chance I would buy Miele.

When people pay premium prices, they expect premium reliability and premium after-sales support. Sadly, this experience delivered neither.

Once a Miele, never again a Miele.

was TWO WEEKS and later that day discovered their booking site was completely inaccessible. I can’t afford to be without a washing machine for 2 weeks while Miele gets their act together..so today I bought a Bosch instead. Half the price (of the 2018 Miele price) and it arrives in TWO DAYS. Interestingly, a new Miele could have been delivered in 5 days…just a shame Miele doesn’t put as much priority into supporting their existing customers. Will now continue replace all my Miele appliances with other quality brands at half the price. No more Miele for me - they’re just not worthy of my custom.

If Miele cant fix my brand new coffee machine after 4 visits and 5 months, at what point does their pride in the product they sell take over and they replace what is clearly a faulty product. I have no doubt my coffee machine is a lemon and not the normal as my other Miele products work very well, I continually hear high praise for Miele in the community. My angst and frustration could easily be fixed if Miele provided me with a working Coffee Machine, something I already paid a premium price for! I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the warranty coverage of appliances purchased under your 2021 promotion offering a 10-year warranty. In 2021, my partner and I purchased a Miele washer-dryer combo as part of this promotion. Shortly after purchase, the appliance developed faults that could not be repaired by your technician. As… Read more

a result, we were offered a replacement. At that time, we requested to switch to a separate washer and dryer and agreed to pay the difference. This change was made as part of resolving a faulty product supplied by Miele, not as a new independent purchase.

Given this, we reasonably expected that the same 10-year warranty applicable to the original appliance would extend to both replacement products. While the warranty has now been applied to the washing machine (after a significant delay, 5 years to be exact), we have been informed that the dryer is not covered under the same warranty. We do not consider this acceptable. Under the Australian Consumer Law, when a product has a major failure, the consumer is entitled to a replacement or refund. Any replacement provided should not leave the consumer in a worse position than the original purchase. In this case, denying warranty coverage on the dryer effectively reduces the value and protection of what we originally paid for under the promotion.

The change to separate appliances was made in good faith, based on Miele’s inability to supply a functioning unit, and it is not reasonable for us to bear the consequences of that failure.

We therefore request that Miele:

* Apply the same 10-year warranty coverage to the dryer, consistent with the original purchase terms, or * Provide a written explanation outlining how this outcome complies with Australian Consumer Law

If this matter cannot be resolved promptly, we will consider escalating the complaint to Consumer Affairs Victoria for further review.

We look forward to your prompt response and a fair resolution.
