Great Dryer – The dryer uses so little electricity it does not register on our electricity app. We love this dryer as we can put in a load of washing and just let it do its own thing, the perfect dry is exactly as it says it is. Excellent Dryer – This is a inverter dryer so no pumping of hot air and lint around the laundry. It extracts clean moisture into a container which I use for the steam iron as it has no salts in it, The drier is very quiet and full load takes about two hours and it draws between 200 and 2000 watts as power draw is variable. This is perfect. Cant live without it. Amazing dryer. perfect for my use – I have huge loads of laundry everyday as there is a baby in the house. This is my first drier and im very happy i invested in it. Does what it says. I do t use all the modes available, mostly cotton but it dries up completely without damaging clothes within an hour. WAPOS - have yet to dry a load of washing in this – I never thought it possible a product could be so poor In it’s design and execution. This machine has yet to produce any results. Constantly stopping. Filters constantly blocking, even though it’s not drying. Balls of washing. I can’t fathom how QC let this through. This goes along side the poorly built inbuilt Miele coffee maker. At least that produces coffee.

Poorly designed, unreliable and Miele deliberately contravene Australian Consumer Law – Purchased in 2017, mistakenly thought I was upgrading to a more "premium" appliance from a Bosch Heat Pump dryer (which was still working fine, was easy to use and never missed a beat in 8 years). flashing "clean airways". The foam filter then needs to be removed, dried, vacuumed and reinserted. Words can't adequately describe how frustrating this constant process is. Condensation also drips onto the floor from the poorly designed filter service doors on the lower fascia (which warp and don't latch properly). After just over two years unit stopped drying and drum stopped rotating requiring service call, unit required new Power Control Unit which Miele replaced but tech suggested as out of two year Miele warranty payment would be required. I reminded the tech that under the Australian Consumer Law the unit had not lasted a reasonable amount of time and we were entitled to a remedy of a no charge repair which he eventually agreed to. Two years later in July this year (dryer still less than 5 years old) same fault occurred, Miele tech attended and replaced exactly the same part (power control unit) and requested payment of $213 for the labour as was out of Meile two year warranty. Unfortunately I was not home and my partner agreed to pay the fee which she should not have been charged. The unit has not lasted a reasonable amount of time (I would suggest given their premium market position and pricing this is at least 10 years), this is a repeated product fault and as such we were entitled to a no charge repair under the Australian Consumer Law. I emailed Miele and requested a refund of the $213 however no reply. Miele would be fully aware of their obligations to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law but deliberately choose to ignore it and try to charge consumers for repairs of faulty products which have not lasted for a reasonable amount of time. Be aware of your rights under the ACL, push back when requested to pay for repairs to faulty products that have not lasted a reasonable amount of time. Also if considering a heat pump dryer do not buy a unit that does not have a self cleaning condenser like the poorly designed, over priced and under performing Miele TKG450WP. Buyer beware!

Worst Miele Product - Don't Bother – We have all Miele products in the house but the dryer has been a massive let down . Constant issues with air filter and replaced electrical board already . We barely use the dryer and it still fails every time . someone to come out and have a look at it, who ran some tests and told me there is nothing wrong with it and it must be the way I am using it. Instead of accepting responsibility for a lemon they were shifting the blame. They went on to show me how to clean the filter and its surroundings. When I kept calling Miele they were no longer interested in helping. This machine is a lemon & a total inconvenience!!

Don't buy Miele products as they are expensive, unreliable. I have all kitchen and laundry appliance and I have called support for each one of them. The warranty period is only 2 years, unlike Korean brands that are cheap reliable and better support.

Don't waste your hard-earned money on Miele just for the brand name !!!

No wonder it is discontinued – I had a Miele dryer for 20 yrs and it was great. I am sorry I replaced it. This dryer tangles everything, beeps constantly, doesn’t dry properly. They really missed the mark on this one and I think it should be replaced as it’s just a lemon

Never hated anything more than this dryer – I thought Miele is a good brand but this dryer proved it wrong......Worst worst worst money spent ever.... so annoying beep.... whatever option I select on it , after a cycle it cancels the programme and says “Adjust load” even on warm air option...... if I try to run it empty it gives error of clean out airways... Totally useless – This machine is a woftam: Waste Of Freaking Time And Money. cycle sheets are so knotted and tangled they're IMPOSSIBLE to iron. I cannot believe Miele continues to sell this LEMON. It should be offering all of us silly enough to buy it full refunds... and I should add ... its dishwashers aren't much better!!

I HATE this dryer! – Have had this dryer nearly 4 years and have hated it since day 1. dryer at night (when I have the time to wait for the hours it takes to dry) as it keeps my kids awake with the beeping. I had a technician come who said they fixed it, but alas, not fixed. I cannot justify a new dryer having spent so much on this one, so sadly I have to punish myself for several more years for buying this lemon! washing wouldn't dry properly. Now it doesn't work, it just keeps beeping and says adjust load it doesn't matter how much or how little I put in. the day a very easy fix. Now the second time same error and problem but now the technician computer state the power control unit is gone and needs to be replaced. With call out fee plus repair it will be almost 800. It feels like a scam to me. Very bummed.

Never been so disappointed with an appliance! – Bought this dryer from David Jones just over two years ago. Rarely used as sooo frustrating. Probably used six times in each of the first two years. Yesterday on the cotton cycle, it was nearly finished and then suddenly without me touching it, it decided to begin the cycle again. When complete, after over three hours, the washing was beautifully dry. This was so exciting, as it had never happened before. Today, looking forward to it at last working properly, l am even more frustrated. It now refuses to work for longer than one minute at a time! It has also begun humming and occasionally vibrating and there is absolutely nothing in the manual that mentions this behaviour. Sue

All of the negative reviews are SPOT ON – Purchased this dryer new 6 months old now - from day one it just BEEPS and BEEPS with something wrong, always asking to clean filters when you have cleaned them multiple times, screws up sheets into a ball so the outside is dry and they are still completely wet in the middle then it tells you to adjust load as it thinks they are dry. the dryer has a weight between 1 - 8 kg. He pressed a few buttons and said it was fixed. Several days later the problems start again. All this money spent on a dryer and now I feel cheated. In all honesty I cannot recommend this dryer to anyone.
