Exceptional quick drying and quiet – This clothes dryer has a built in deodoriser which you can set to release an amount of deodoriser that suits your preference. Many settings as indicated and very quiet. Sits in our lounge area inside a cupboard and drains directly to the drain outlet so zero moisture enters the room. Show reply
Miele TWB 140 WP DRYER – Doesn't dry clothes properly. Leaves them smelling if left in overnight or folded and put away. Not happy with it at all. Had it reprogrammed once and was ok for a while. Show details
Impressed... So Far, So Good – I have recently upgraded to a Miele Washing Machine & Dryer, and while it’s still early days, so far, I am very impressed. While I was researching the brands & models to consider, when talking with others including sales reps, Miele was the stand out number one brand... then when I looked at the reviews online, there were so many negative… Read more · 1
reviews, something was just not adding up!
There is a difference when you go from an older style condenser dryer to a heat pump dryer, such as the clothes do not get really hot quickly, but that’s the whole point as clothes do not get damaged from the high heat, and energy usage is much lower overall. So you can’t really use the dryer as a quick way to heat up the clothes before wearing them, and they do take longer to dry than a cycle in the condenser dryer.
But, I’m thrilled that my laundry room doesn’t become humid from all the water and so far the clothes I have dried, do come out dry after one cycle on the correct setting.
My suggestion is not to fight the time it takes & try to cut corners... otherwise it won’t be dry and you’ll feel disappointed. Just put it on the recommended cycle and leave it to do it’s thing. I use extra dry setting too so that they come out feeling the same as they would from being overheated in my old dryer, but it’s good to know they are not being damaged like they were before!
Overall, very happy new Miele customer!
