BOUGHT a sink plug 11/5/21. $17.40!! i knew it was overpriced, but then i went online and its $3.95 at Bunnings. like over 400% more expensive!! made a complaint on their website contact section. of course noone rang and noone gives a crap there. this mitre ten over charge on absolutely everything and they keep putting their prices up to check exactly what lazy people like me will bear. like $17.40 for a sink plug?!! service at their ridiculous prices should be the best , but it isnt. most expensive hardware store in the Eastern suburbs of Ade...laide easily. bunch of crooks basically with no regard for their customers. $4.50 for a small spring!! if you are lazy then this mitre 10 will have to do but, really, go elsewhere if you seek value. mighty value my bum!! mighty rip off more like it. $17.40 for a domestic sink plug! crooked!!

Ordered laserlite on 7 April. Today is 27 April 2021.
1. Absolutely no contact about the order or when it might arrive after contacting Mitre 10 by email twice.
2. Telephoned store today ended up with "Timber". Politely took my details (not order number) and said someone would call (when??).
3. Have since requested refund but noted that Mitre 10 have had my cash for 10 days.
I think that the system needs a major overhaul. This was my first experience at click/collect. Now 20 days later I still have to go and get the laserlite (from Bunnings I guess).
Dig deep and update your communications!
Dead seedlings with a 2 week wait for a delivery
No communication, got a phone call asking if its okay to deliver a week later. Called them back, they have know idea where my order is. Poorly run family business.
I would like to support family businesses but if this is what you get I'd rather use Bunnings and make the shareholders richer.

Defective Engineered Floorboards Supplied By Taits Mitre10 And Installed By Their "Recommended" Installer
Defective engineered floorboards supplied by taits mitre10 and installed by their "Recommended" installer. Their installer ordered 86.9sqm and installed it in our home - approx 80sqm. We have had one of the most shocking experiences by taits mitre10. Our home and us personally have been treated so disrespected all because of their defective engineered floorboards that they had installed in our home by their installer costing us over $15,500. Despite at least 2 emails to their ceo, and numerous communication and emails with their senior manag...ement, since 29 jan 2021, there has been no action by taits mitre10 to remove and replace their defective engineered floorboards. It is now 12 april 2021. Now communicating with their gm, we as their customers have been treated so disrespectful. Not only is this company in breach of australian consumer laws, but they have failed to remove their defective engineered floorboards, approx 80 sq m (installed) from our home and replace it with approved floorboards by an independent structural engineer as taits mitre10 has agreed in an email. Every demand has been ignored, every deadline they have set and we have set has been ignored by them, was spoken to very disrespectfully in my own home (yes I am a woman) by a senior male of this company who yelled at me saying 'remove that review now'. He stopped when I responded 'stop yelling at me, stop bullying'. My partner witnessed this behaviour. What was our crime???? We put our faith in taits mitre10 to supply jarrah engineered floorboards (and was told prior to the order that it was a quality product and that they did not hv any issues with engineered floorboards). Turns out their engineered floorboards they supplied and their "Recommended" installer installing it between 27 jan 2021 to 29 jan 2021 is defective (you can see it has ripples everywhere as soon as it was installed and they gave us the evidence in an independent report by a flooring association) all approx 80 sq metre of it that was installed to our upstairs of our home. Upon completion on 29 jan 2021 virtually immediately we could see defects and as each day went on the defects are shocking as they have ripples, lifted...Today is 12 april 2021. Despite every effort to communicate with them; with their ceo and senior management, taits mitre10 had put in writing all of their promises to us with nothing to date occuring to remove their defective engineered floorboards under the supervision of a structural engineers and replace it with a product suitable for our home (as advised by a structural engineer). I (yes a woman) asked their 'heavy weight' gm' (last thursday after so many false promises) 'can you give me some indication as to when all of this will be done' his response 'no I can't', I said 'can you tell me, will it be in a month, 3 months, 6 months' his response 'no I can't'. To the ceo of taits mitre10: we are again asking you to remove your defective engineered floorboards and replace it with a product that a structural engineer suggests is suitable - as taits mitre10 had promised would occur. I now understand why media action is taken on these dodgy retailers. It is to expose them all for their dodgy practices. You know who we are. I want to receive a call from your ceo today. We are not interested in dealing with any more dodgy personnel from taits mitre10. Taits mitre10 - you are in breach of at least 5 australian consumer laws - so rectify this issue now.

Click & Collect process poses Identity Theft Risk - Don't they trust their staff?
I ordered a few things at Mitre 10 via click and collect. Process and communications were fine, the team at Provans Clifton Hill kept me in the loop. I was however shocked and annoyed that when I went to collect, they took my drivers licence away to photocopy it. I was told the copy gets destroyed after back office checks it off. To me that's a red flag for identity theft risk. What an ill thought out process and what does it say about how they regard their retail staff. They trust their staff to represent the brand to customers, handle cash but not check an identity for click an&d collect.
Never using click & collect - shame I do like the convenience.
Pay as you (don't) use at Mitre10?
Tried to have a 4kg LPG bottle refilled. Had 3kg's in it, so one would expect to pay for 1 kg, right? Not at Mitre10 you don't- they'll charge you for a full recharge, regardless. What else should one not trust you with?
Staff in paint section
Not helpful at all. 2 staff members gave me the incorrect information about a paint that I was looking for.
Abysmal customer service
Ordered a DeWalt 3 piece kit 12 days ago. Received no update since making the order. Called the store yesterday for where it was being delivered to. The store advised me that there was a botch up, something about the kit being discontinued and that "I wasn't going to get it". The call convo was followed by a thinly veiled apology and that I was going to get a refund.
Ordered the exact same kit from Discount Trader yesterday (same day as call to Mitre 10). It's being shipped a day after making the order.
I wouldn't recommend Mitre 10.
Online purchase - not "mighty helpful"
Ordered online a product that showed good stock levels. No response for a couple of days, discovered on calling local store, that item was being freighted from elsewhere and they would send "when available". Employee not helpful. Called again after a week to find that item had arrived and would be delivered in "a day or so". Email advice of dispatch showed "leave at front door" - I live in a large apartment complex. Fortunately courier company was able to change to "signed delivery".
No more Mitre 10 online!
Buying products online
So I bought and ordered a mower from a month (7th of January) ago, gave them a call a week from that, they said the product will be there from a weeks time so I called in in a weeks time and they said it’s not there yet and they said it will be here the week after. So I waited for two weeks no calls from them so then I called them again and again they said “it’s not here it will be in tomorrow so I called the next day and was not there, then I called today and ask about it they said “ it was in mitre 10 on the 18th of January” they wasted my time even though it was there all along now the 6th of February. No calls or email about the product what so ever.

Don't bother with click and collect
Need a tub of aquadhere, figured i was going over next day so I'll click and collect and pick it up...bad move. They don't tell you if the item is in stock or not when you order and you get a notice after payment that it can be 14 days before you can pick it up.so ridiculous. I've had to go purchase the item separately, now to try get refunded.
Click and Forget
I thought I might try the Mitre 10 click and collect service for a simple product which I would have thought would have been in stock. A Bosch rechargeable screwdriver.
Order placed two weeks ago. Checked a couple of times and all I get is "processing". Obviously it is not in stock from where I wish to collect the product.
What is even more annoying however is there is no facility to either check on the status of the order or indeed where it is in the delivery chain. There is also no facility to cancel the order.
Judging from other reviews clearly Mitre 10 have a problem with this service. It is clearly running a poor second to Bunnings which I use regularly and have never had an issue.
Pure Professional Service at Peakhurst
Grant from Peakhurst Mitre 10 is a pure professional from the very 1st word of help over the phone to the delivery of the product service at the store, i got exactly what i needed at a reasonable price compared to the daylight robbery Pirtek wanted for 5 lousy metres of water pressure hose with every excuse in the book attached to why they wanted $200.
Thank you Mitre 10 Peakhurst for saving me money and now i have a fully functional machine.

Called in to Mitre 10 Heildelberg 5/1/2021 unexpectedly. Helped by two very competent customer service guys at check out counter and to the outside Garden centre. Well done guys. Very impressed with change. See you again.
Ordered Click and Collect Lawn Mower on 17/12 and still have not received it after 3 weeks
Ordered Lawn Mower, Click and Collect on 17/12/2020. Paid on the spot. Rang the shop the next day to be told it was not in stock and was coming from the supplier and should be in within 4 days. Rang after 4 days to be told it was due in the next day. Rang the next day to be told it was stuck on the S/A, W/A border due to Covid19 despite the border being open for freight throughout the Pandemic. Over 3 weeks since ordering and still have no lawn mower, no contact or updates unless I make contact with them.
so ordered a water blaster online,did click an collect.. according to info before i payed for it,it said 1business day then i will get email to go pick up.so i carried on with paying...rang them today to see whats going on,,oh its coming from Victoria ,,you mean too say in the whole of sydney they couldn't get locally...it better get here before xmas.man dam sucks

Mitre 10 Cleveland go above and beyond. Excellent customer service,I ordered online as a click and collect, I knew the product had to be ordered in, took 3 working days to arrive from another state. We will be using this store now on as our hardware store.

Picked this location as opened until 7pm..
On arrival advised that product is not in store, and is delivered to store from warehouse.
They couldn’t tell me when.
This is not advised on website - either before or after ordering.
This is a major problem as there were 2 other people there at the same time with the same problem.
Makes Bunnings look good.

I had an issue with order and collect, u fortunately this could not be resolved to my satisfaction, but hey that's ok these things arise
However I gave the Manager a pretty tough time and he was exemplary in his handling of this situation which was none of his stores doing , well done Chris

WHY, WHY does a sink plug with the chrome finish cost $14.40 at mitre 10 Hectorville when you can buy EXACTLY the same sink plug from the same manufacturer at Bunnings for $3.95? sure Mitre 10 does not have the buying power of Bunnings, but an over 400% mark up over Bunnings Rundle Street a few kilometres away? over 400 %!! $4.50 for a small spring. Mitre 10 price gouge at will and Hectorville in particular seem to just make up a price based on what their customers will pay. Other Mitre 10's like on the corner of Fullarton road/magill Road arent as great a rip off as Mitre 10 Hectorville. not nearly good enough. i dont know how Mitre 10 get away with this massively overpriced chicanery for its just corrupt. its crooked!! bugger mitre 10 from now on. Mighty Value my arse!!
How do I delete items from click and collect
I think just open your Cart and find the X next to the item you want to delete and click it, I won't be using Mitre 10 Click & Collect they are pretty hard to Deal with specially if you want to Return something you don't like.
