is literally full of ABSCO reviews saying parts are missing and the coops are awful. I bought them online so wasn't clear which store had responsibility but Mitre10 Hudson Queanbeyan was terrible to deal with - the manager is actually incompetent.

and with metal showing, it'll only be time that rust will start and meat will stick. Don't get me wrong- great design... but they need to put in a cast iron plate... not a painted fake one. They also can't tell you to go back to the manufacturer, ACCC says you can refund from that shop for default.

Misleading Price – Looked up Dulux Weathershield. Bunnings showed price at $71.90 Mitre 10 showed price at $52.90 was $70 However when you clicked on the shop now button it showed 52.90 briefly then changed to $70. Very misleading and disappointing. False advertising.

My husband also ordered few days before me, and he checked that his items are available before he went to them on that same day, same thing, they did not want to get them for him at all! Except for a young lady I am unsure her name was. Now, she is good and hardworking.

This issue isn't the store - it's the management of the Franchise / Chain Store network. They are so grossly incompetent. In many small out of the way stores, they can't stock huge varieties and huge volumes of anything. Other wise it just sits there and won't sell for years. items high, or 25 items per web page - and if you have to search through 400 items, this takes a LONG TIME.
I have asked them to offer a selection of 25, 50, 100 and 200 items per web page some 5 months ago - they still have not done it.
AND some 90% of what is listed as the small country stores version of the "main site" with 20,000 items in the website, when you finally track down what you are looking for - you run across this:
10% of things are in stock and this is how much it costs.
And the other 90% of items fall under these categories.
1.Out of stock.
2. Usually arrives from warehouse within 2-5 business days.
3. Usually arrives from warehouse within 5-8 business days.
4. Usually arrives from warehouse within 14-28 business days.
I have asked them to include a filtering option - for what they actually DO have in stock some some 5 months ago - they still have not done it
They of course do offer the option to check the stock levels at surrounding stores.
Store A - is about 60 Km north, and it's even smaller than the preffered store - so they have less.
Store B - is about 50 Km north east, it's run by some very bad people. They get no trade.
Store C - is 80 Km away - about on par with stock variety and levels as the original store.
Store D, is 100 Km away - and they are good... but that is a 200 K round trip.
Stores E, F, G, and H are all about 130 - 170 K away - these are NON trivial trips for usually small purchases.
Most of the closer stores, or A to D, they have about 10% of the websites products in stock and everything else has to be shipped in.
So you still get all the time wasting and compounding problems - caused by the management of Mitre10.
They NEVER respond to sensible and necessary requests, they never act upon them...
AND if you have to wait a week to 4 weeks for needed parts, you may as well call Bunnings or similar, and pay for a courier yourself.
Their website set up and the endless tunnelling in to find item after item after item - is not in stock and has to be ordered in - instead of getting the choice of "We have this in stock" and everything else is "special order" - if you want to go and look for it and wait for the delivery - if your OK with that....
I however am fed up with their wasting of my time.
The stores need to stand up to this grossly incompetent management - because they are a source of never ending frustration for the customers.

My Mighty Rewards Card carries a purchase credit balance plus a credit from my December 2024 experience with them. My partner went in to use the balance available for a purchase today, but the item was out of stock. My balance? The Mitre 10 staff member stated that only a partial credit was issued as I had refused to take down my Dec 2024 review. The legal definition of their action? - blackmail.
I purchased K2r stain remover that takes rust stains out of clothes. They no longer make Rustiban anymore. This is a pretty good replacement for that. I use it quite frequently. It’s not cheap and the container is small. Very good service with my click & collect order also.
