we hope, much cheaper to run than our gas heater which this replaced. We will find out when the bill arrives! The outdoor unit is also very quiet, so our neighbours are also happy. (If anyone in Hobart is reading this, we highly recommend Sackett Services for the install. Highly professional and reliable.) Update: we have just gone through a winter and a summer and this unit has performed above expectations. It is so quiet you almost forget it's on. We are super happy with it.
