Excellent Fridge With Many Convenient Features – First of all with 6 doors and a stylish design, this fridge look really elegant. The features are really impressive as well. It is very spacious inside because of the thin wall design. Each compartment has its own sub compartment. For example the Freezer and Vegetable drawer both have sliding drawers within which effectively makes them multi… Read more

shelved; furthermore the bottom space of the said compartments are partitioned very conveniently, this enables you to separate and fit a lot of stuff in neatly. The main refrigerator compartment too has very thoughtful features as a Chilled Compartment and 2 more small item compartments. Apart from the compartments and door shelves there are 2 more features in the refrigerator compartment that I think is pretty cool: the adjustable rack that moves up-and down with the use of a slider (no need to take it out and re-fit like a conventional shelf) and the retractable top shelf.

The Versa Drawer is pretty useful piece of technology and has several modes of operation; the coolest thing about it is that what you freeze in it does not stick together (e.g: sliced/chopped meat, bacon) so you can separate it easily. The ice tray is pretty neat and handy as well, and I guess you can use it to store food as well if you want to.

There are so many convenient and thoughtful features integrated in to this fridge. For example once you turn on the 'Rapid Cool Bulk Shopping' function it will remember what drawers you open to put you items in and will rapidly cool them (and once done automatically switch back to normal mode) - this is very thoughtful since items like Milk and meat needs to be cooled without much delay. It has many more useful functions such as soft freezing, super-cool freezing, rapid ice making, cooling drinks quickly, keeping vegetables moist etc. which come in handy pretty often.

The touch panel is pretty cool as well when it lights up. It is made in Japan and is extremely good value for money. And I'm actually surprised that for what it has to offer this fridge is really under-advertised. Also it it very silent in operation. After much research this was the best option I found out there, and after a few weeks of using it, it is pretty clear that it was the right pick.

This Fridge is Perfection !! – We needed a larger fridge than our old 519L F&P to fit in a space 90cm wide and 740cm high. Quiet was also a top priority. I would not have contemplated buying a fridge which cost this much normally. Wow this fridge is awesome and would highly recommend it. It is so quiet you would not know it is running. need the fridge to be plumbed into the system like the F&P. Your vegetables are kept in the bottom drawer and stay crisp and very large draw they are not kept if top of fridge. The freezer draw is large and also a draw to place hot food in to snap cool it down. Everything about this fridge is great. The only issue I found with the tray to place your milk the tray on the door has 2 slots only room for 2 litre mile at back of tray if you have any small items in front of milk you have to take out as items in front. They should have designed the milk tray to drop forward to remove milk as tray is divided into 2 to put milk and other items. Good work

Fabulous Fridge! Amazing vegetable crisper! – A family of five adults - we needed a larger fridge than our old 519L F&P to fit in a space 90cm wide and 740cm high. Quiet was also a top priority. I would not have considered spending this amount on a fridge but received a fabulous recommendation from someone. It is genuinely quiet, even when working hard, so much better than our F&P which was… Read more

rated rather well for quiet. The vegetable bin is huge and without doubt, tomatoes on the top shelf stay firm and lower down, leafy greens crisp for amazing periods of time. A whole new experience for us! Previously we used 1 whole shelf plus the fruit and vegie bins for vegetables. We now even put soft drinks in the front divide of this bin. The freezer is a decent size and the vesta drawer is fabulous. Leftovers can be quickly cooled and then put back in the main fridge or freezer. I place fresh meat there when planning to cook over the next few days and find these meats thaw very quickly or are perfect for thin slicing for stirfry dishes. In the main fridge, without vegies, there is tons of room. Ours looks bare all the time! The LED light and all the clear containers are fabulous. The sliding trays allow me to reach the very back of the top level and I am only 155cm tall. The egg tray, chiller and small container are great. We haven't needed to alter any temperatures but the control panel does allow a wide choice of temperatures for each section, if you desire. There is a quick option for a quick cool after a big shop but the fridge seems to do this very well without using this option. Perhaps in hot weather this may be useful. It has 4 wheels so easy to move without damaging the floor. A big plus for me is the small space required for the opening doors and drawers - no more asking people to move their chair closer to the table so the doors can be opened. This fridge uses more than 200KW electricity annually LESS than our old fridge while providing much more sensible storage and a very aesthetically pleasing experience. I now have space to store the ironing board and a broom in the cabinet next to the fridge. It is amazing that so much storage is available with a smaller footprint(size and power use) than the F&P. Mitsubishi Electric provide a complete 5 year warranty with a further 5 years on the compressor only. This shows real confidence in the quality of their fridges. While making my decision, I hit upon a one day price reduction to $2671 including delivery and removal of the old fridge. That pushed me to buy and honestly I am so happy that I did. This is $300-400 less than the best price normally available. Fruits and vegetables, in particular, are preserved so much better in this type of fridge. Can not recommend it enough!

Impressive Refrigerator - keeps everything fresh – Best fridge we ever owned. Keeps all food very fresh, has various freezer settings and is very economical to run. Also has ice making without plumbing. - We have the Mitsubishi Electric MR-EX655W. The programmes/settings for each drawer or compartment are extremely useful and can be adjusted for the kind of food we buy and store. As there are… Read more

separate compartments or drawers for storing foods of the same type together each section's temperature can be adjusted accordingly, therefore saving energy and keeping food fresh much longer. - The Versa compartment is wonderful, as it can be used for soft freezing foods which one wants to use straight from the freezer without lengthy defrosting. In addition, the Versa compartment can be used for superfast freezing individual items, especially warm foods, and then can be switched back to be used as a soft freezing or normal freezing compartment - The separate vegetable and fruit drawer is brilliant, as it also has an internal large drawer for keeping fruit and vegies apart, or for storing the right kind of fruit and veg together. The Mitsubishi multi drawer fridge has such good settings that it is possible to buy fruit / vegetable in bulk and keep them fresh without spoiling. The light inside the vegetable compartment, and, if needed, the 'keep moist' setting, work so well, that fruit/veg do not go soggy, spoil or go mouldy. - Also, there is enough space in the vegetable drawer to keep large drink bottles upright if there is not enough space for them in the fridge part. - Having a separate vegetable drawer means that the refrigerator is free to be used for all other refrigerated items. The shelves in the fridge can be raised or pushed back to adjust for large items. - We did want to get the largest Mitsubishi multi-drawer fridge, but could not fit it into our space, However, the 655 is more than adequate for our 4 person household. - Another great feature is the ice cube maker, which does not require plumbing or much extra electricity. It is ingenious and makes a very large amount of ice. And when not in use for ice making the compartment can double up as a small extra freezer. - The doors are well designed and all drawers open and close easily. - Splitting a fridge into different sections and having the main part at eye level, makes it so much easier to use and reduces the likelihood of ‘losing’ food at the back of low shelves. It is so much easier to have the refrigerator part on the top and to pull out the drawers below to access the food from above. Everything is nicely laid out and accessible without having to rummage through the bottom of a fridge. - The only drawback is the height of the refrigerator. I am not very all and the top level of the refrigerator is too high for me to reach. However, this does not pose a problem as I use long, clear plastic containers to store food on the top shelf which I can easily pull out to get down items from the top shelf.

Grocery swallower – For the external size, it absolutely packs more in than a standard fridge. Huge right deep door shelves pack lots of sauces and condiments in.While the left side door packs 2x 1kg yoghurt, plus a 2 litre milk bottle on the bottom section. compartment in the middle where the two doors meet. Fruit and veges last incredibly well. Ice maker gets used heaps, just keep pulling the ice forward to allow new ice to fall down at the back of the drawer, and you will nver have ice stick into one big lump which I see in some fridges. And my wife loves it too which is the most important thing :)

i own a 508l one – love it! – 1st. I love ice – and the ice tray is fantastic – just twist it, and it falls out into a large ice container. there's 3 ice trays, so you can freeze 36 ice cubes at a time. 2. the shelving in the door allows for 2L coke bottles to stand upright on both shelves – I like having my drinks upright and not lying horizontal. usable shelf and one useless shelf in the doors.

3. The shelves also fold in half – so that adds extra versatility. Ours are actually permanently folded, as we need the extra height for stuff.

The only thing I WISH it had, was separate fruit/vegetable areas...instead of having them both in one section;

But otherwise, I love the design, and the 5yr Parts and labour warranty was a bonus too. Can't remember what I paid for it – but it was the only fridge that made my criteria – had to have an ice box (this holds HEAPS of ice!!!) AND had to be able to hold 2L coke bottles upright on both shelves in the door. Random criteria, I know – but it frees up so much space for other stuff in the main compartment. So, you might pay a bit more than a LG, Samsung, Westinghouse, Fisher & Paykel etc etc...but it's just so much more usable!

I wanted the fridge because it has fabulous reviews, it fitted into my restrictive fridge cavity and had the largest capacity compared to comparable sized fridges. Just the colour!! Great frig but you need to be a bit organised – I have owned this refrigerator for almost four years now. It is very well built and hasn't missed a beat mechanically. Other electronic features such as the bulk shop quick cool down are also… Read more

brilliant (for cooling the refrigerator down quickly after loading it up from the weekly shop for example).

However there are some drawbacks in my opinion, mainly relating to the top section which is the main part of the refrigerator. If you're like me and have people in the house that use different types of milk, it is easy to run out of room in the door compartment. Also if you use lots of sauces etc, the taller ones do not fit well in this model and end up taking up valuable shelf space. The shelves themselves are made of plastic which I was surprised about given how expensive this refrigerator is.

Also the freezer drawer is in the middle and the fresh food compartment at the bottom. This is a minor point but I don't know why it isn't the other way around seeing as the fresh food and cold drink storage gets opened and shut much more than the freezer (in this house anyway). The drink storage area shares the drawer with the fresh food compartment and thus cannot be extra cold (otherwise it affects the fruit and vegetables). So if you like your drinks extra cold you need to put them in the top section of the frig which is kinda annoying. Similarly you need to put taller bottles - e.g., champagne - in the top section as the bottom drawer won't shut properly.

I guess these are somewhat minor issues but I would've preferred to know about them before buying this model - I may have gone for the larger one. It is a great frig overall and certainly seems built to last unlike a lot of other rubbish refrigerators out there.

Fabulous appliance – This was the only fridge which would provide a useful increase in volume over the previous one whilst fitting into our existing 80 cm-wide,175 cm-high space. and drawers for other compartments. It looks great too.

The ice blocks are smaller than those produced in conventional plastic trays, but that just means that you use more of them. We have found that the vegetable compartment is a bit colder than is ideal - the temperature is close to zero with the temperature setting on "L" - which counterintuitively is the warmest setting. I've been moving a max-min thermometer around inside the fridge for nearly a year monitoring the various zones and have found the other zones to be more satisfactorily regulated, though the temperature range fluctuation is not as well controlled as in the previous fridge.

The smaller ice drawer and Versa drawer seemed a little flimsy at first as a result of the design of the runners, but they work. Vegetables dehydrate faster than they did in the previous fridge, even with the moisture control set as recommended, but we simply keep carrots etc. in the thin plastic bags we buy them in.

My criticisms are minor - this is the best fridge I've ever owned.

adjustable height shelf make this unit a joy to use. Ample space for bottles and jars and even a fold back shelf!

The automatic ice drawer is a stroke of genius. I didn't want to connect to plumbing so simply filling the container in the main part of the fridge, ensures an automatically topped up drawer full of ice.

The cooling drawer is superb for cooling freshly cooked meals or alternatively use it to soft freeze ice-cream or other produce or just turn it onto deep freeze to max out your freezing space.

The bottom drawer expands the upper fridge compartment greatly and I'm often popping more than just vegetables in that area.

Come home with heaps of shopping? Easy, tell the fridge to rapidly cool any or all draws that you have placed your items in.

Check the manual and they are very straight forward about the colder areas inside the main compartment. Thus, there are no surprises when placing foods into that area. You can choose to place your food near or away from these cold spots (which are near the cooling air vents on the back wall of the main compartment).

It’s such a joy to use and I can't help polishing it so that it remains the glorious centrepiece in the kitchen.

5/5 I couldn't ask for a better purchase.

Exceeded expectations in most areas – The excellent performance and longevity of our prior Mitsubishi fridge made that brand our first choice for a new fridge. the position of the fridge in the kitchen made a double door model the most obvious choice, but the height of the space limited the size of the model. and vegetables; its quietness and the ice compartment. The ability to quickly chill/freeze compartments is also useful. Whereas the capacity of the fridge was the same as the prior model, its compartmentalisation and the icemaker means the actual usable space seems less and therefore more of challenge to fit things in. However, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. Hence if choosing such a fridge my experience suggests that if your current fridge is a conventional one, you will probably need one of larger capacity,

High tech Japanese product - outstanding – I have had this refrigerator for the past month, and it replaced a Miele. I purchased this model because of the positive reviews and it made ice! tropics (Darwin - 11ºS latitude) and temperate USA (Florida is NOT tropical..humid and temperate).

Firstly, it maintains the correct temperature in its different sections or "rooms" as Mitsubishi calls them. Secondly, the ice maker is very good and provides a drawer full of ice blocks. Thirdly, the main freezer drawer works very well and ice cream is very hard. Fourthly, the "soft freezer drawer" is an innovation where one can keep items at -º1C and not rock hard, such as bacon or ham, and quickly defrost for use. Finally, the vegetable drawer maintains humidity and vegetables do keep longer.

Overall, this is an outstanding fridge, however I have a major caveat - beware!

Clearly this Mitsubishi refrigerator is very sophisticated and is supplied with an extensive and detailed "operational manual". Like all things Japanese, it is NOT made for a person who thinks one "plugs in fridge and forgets". NO! You have to program each of the compartments (one can set finely the temperature for each "room") , and as you use the fridge, instruct the fridge as one loads other items into the fridge.

Downside - it does not provide a digital read-out of the temperature for each room - I used a digital thermometer to monitor and found the temperature readings to be correct.

So far I have found this Mitsubishi fridge to be outstanding...and note it has a 10 year guarantee on its compressor.

28March18 -> Am very pleased with the fridge's performance so far....noted that it maps one's use and it is "active" in the early hours of the morning around 4AM... 4September22 -> Continues to perform…impressed!
