Do not use this company – Had booked for 11am to 1pm time they called me at 7.30 saying on way but I was at the other property and asked if the could come closer to time booked. They said no worried we will do another job and come to my place.. never showed. No answer of calls made to each ph number or text message. I had strict time frame as have to be out of rental. Do not use this company. How they survive I don't understand..
really want to give them ZERO Star if i could – Booked service and confrimed that they will come between 10AM to 1PM. but didn't show up on 1PM. called them and they told me the driver already out. OK. waited for another hour still no shows up. called them again and i was been told they cannot come today!! what a joke. totally waste my time.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY – Where Do I start First day the boys turn up late with not enough blankets or shrink wrap to do the job. So they had to go away and purchase stuff. Still not enough blankets to do the job so truck went half empty and then had to return to get another load and they didn't finish the job. Booked again for the next day they turned up late again with… Read more
the same issues and had a look at what was left and was told we won't get it all in as I have to finish and go to footy training. So we asked them not to worry about it please book us in for the next day. The third day the boys turn up and again with the same issues not enough blankets or shrink wrap but the boys did get into it and got the job done they did work hard. But they have damaged some of our items. I sent several emails to the email address that I was told to with no response and they won't take my phone calls I have rung on several occasions. I even paid extra for the insurance (stupid me) I am going to take legal action through the small claims court and I am also going to report them to the ombudsman to investigate there dodge company. Not happy at all PLEAS DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS

Not the best – Damaged furniture despite opting to have blanket drape service. Refusing to communicate with me about it. Have email, and telephoned several times. One of their staff argued with me and called me a liar to my face.
DO NOT USE MLB REMOVALS – If you are moving in the future DO NOT use MLB Removals The removalists were caught on CCTV at our temporary storage unit unpacking our bedside tables, pulling out every item, one by one. Throughout the unpacking, they continued to go through our personal belongings and were caught throwing our items from the truck. We felt violated and are now… Read more
left with numerous damaged items!!! When we confronted the company the day after the move, we were told to wait 5 working days to receive a response to the situation! Two weeks later...we receive a response after pushing with multiple phone calls and emails. The response was insulting. After being charged $878 for the service, we were offered $240 compensation and a $50 voucher to use the company in the future!!! What a complete joke! Do not use MLB Removals.
Great overall experience – Thanks for a great move guys, the boys got my 2 bedroom flat done in less than 3 hours!! Very affordable, very professional. Not what you'd expect from your average removalist.
Very impressed – Dont usually write reviews but these guys were great. A huge safe that I cant even get off the floor went into the truck no problem at all. These guys dont waste any time. A+++!

One of my quickest moves – Thank you very much to Malik and Lawrence who moved our 3 bedroom room belongings from Mount Waverley to Geelong West. They took extra care of my favourite pieces of furniture and finished spot on time! They were really pleasant and efficient! Thanks again for reducing my stress.
Excellent work! 3 bdrm house and 4 couches – We worked with Tom and Phil from MLB and they were excellent. They managed to fit all our furniture into one truck, then unloaded to pick up a bed from a friends house. They moved quickly and communicated with me the whole way through. All our stuff arrived safely! Price was very reasonable- we are very happy
These guys were a godsend!! – Having been let down big time by another company on the day we were supposed to move house, these guys managed to book me in for the very next day and save an extremely stressful situation. Four guys and two trucks arrived on time and truly exceeded all expectations. Luke, Kleber, Aiden and Oscar were powerhouses and nothing was too much trouble… Read more
for them. Very heavy items going into pretty tricky and tight areas did not faze them one bit. We even had a very big and heavy barbecue winched safely over our balcony down to the next floor which was a sight to behold. On top of this, without exception, they were the loveliest guys and I cannot recommend them enough. Thanks guys, you were amazing!!

Worst removalist ever used – Booked in for 8am they show up at 4:30pm They left items behind that would not fit due to small truck even though we sent a list of items with dimensions. Very stressful experience
Don't bother if you don't pay full rate you don't matter – First booking confirmed, on the day get a call "sorry we over booked we will be out later in the day is this okay" wasn't urgent so said yes. Second booking for 7am. 7:30am not contact at all so I call them and after 15 mins get a response. Driver sick trying to find new driver. Did not contact me to inform me and I was late to work. booking actually arrived within 15 mins of time and job was done adequately. Fourth booking was 7am on a Saturday, actually received text stating "driver sick have reassigned your job will be there at 11am". 11 am came and left with no response to my texts or calls about where drivers were. 1pm still no response, 4pm sent text asking if they were coming. Nothing. Monday receive text saying sorry but have not heard anything since. When queried about the second booking I was informed you got their cheap rate so that obviously means cheap service as well. Before anyone asks why I kept going back well I booked all 4 jobs at the beginning as sometimes things go wrong and companies have bad days but to not turn up or respond I was suppose to be out of property the following Monday.
Made me sick to my stomach – MLB was 1.5 hours late, they didn't answer the phone knowing that it was me calling again under duress while trying locate the drivers because I had a strict booking time for the lifts in the apartment complex I was moving to; the drivers appeared amateurish; they arrived in a grimy 'Thrifty' hire vehicle; took liberties with my food; they caused… Read more
significant damage to several items and they even wanted to charge me three times the initial office quote figure. The manager then responds to my complaint email by addressing me as "Hi there" and coldly pointing me to the company policy which 'protects' MLB against such damages. He then offered me $50 compensation plus another $50 discount if I utilised their service again. It's important that one understands their unprofessional behaviour.

**NEVER USE THEM - CANCEL ON THE ACTUAL DAY** – I got a text to confirm booking the day before. I got cancelled two hours prior to the move. I was left stranded with all my belongings, potentially sleeping on the streets tonight. When I ask what can be done, they offer nothing but the phone numbers of three removalists all which are fully booked. Ridiculous service ever
DO NOT USE MLC Removal! Movers arrived late. Hidden costs added to my final bill – DO NOT USE MLC Removal!!!!!! Movers arrived late. A few hidden costs added to my final bill that was not mentioned to me by head office or the driver. Not reliable or efficient movers. I regret hiring this company for my move last week. reschedule my move from 7am to 10am. I said that it was fine as long as it's not later then that. They said no they will be there at 10am and that movers would call me when they are on their way. On the day of the move I had not heard from the movers by 10am so called the head office just for an eta. Was told the driver was picking up a truck and should have been at my location at 10 but they would call the movers for an update and call me back. At 11 am still no call so I called the head office back a few time. Finally someone picked up. They said the movers were already on their way to me. I asked if the movers could call me because I want to know roughly what time they would be there so I could make my way to my storage unit to meet them. The movers called me and said they just left wherever they were and still 45mins away. They finally arrived at 12. They started puffing and looked tired 10mins into the move. They complained and said they would have to charge me an extra hours work for heavy lifting. I had not been explained this over the phone when I rang to get a quote and when I made the booking. Hidden cost! The items I was asking them to move was normal household furniture and white goods not industrial sized machine. They continued to complain throughout the whole move. They told me they were use to moving for builders for display houses which used light furniture. When they came back to my storage unit for the second trip, I waited for them at the front so I could let them in. I noticed they drove past it. I thought maybe they forgot which street to turn into and would do a u turn andncome back. 15mins later they arrived back at my storage unit with hot food and coffee/drinks. They obviosuly went and got some lunch. I wouldn't had minded if they had mentioned it to me or apologised for making me wait but they didn't. They didn't even deduct that time from their total hours worked. 2 truck loads later it reached 6pm so they couldn't work anymore as they were tired and it was dark. I had more more items which I had to move myself and transport on multiple trips the next day in my own car. I also had some furniture I wanted assembled but they ran out of time for that too so I had to assemble those myself too. I also had to pay extra for the use of their blankets using the move. I was not advised by head office when I rang for a quote and to make the booking or the movers until right at the end when it was time to pay them. Another hidden cost!!! Found out that they didn't have to pick up a truck. That was just head offices excuse. The movers did another job at 7am which head office squeezed in and pushed our job back. This was also why the movers were tired by the time they arrived to start our move at 12. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MLB removers!!!
Awful – After reading the reviews I feel I dodged a bullet by not going ahead with this crowd. I had booked this company for 7 am and received emails and confirmation texts. On the day nobody had arrived so at 7.45 I rang and was informed casually that they were on their way. At 8.45 a little hire truck arrived which looked as though it would fit about… Read more
half of our 3 bedroom household. Two lovely but totally inexperienced young British lads hopped out and were very confused over simple tasks such as where could they park their truck as the driveway was on a slight lean. I left them to sort it out and was then called to help them guide my storage shelving unit onto their truck. I had to climb up on the truck and we discovered it was too tall. It was at this stage I expressed concern that as this and not much else was going to fit on their truck, it was going to be a waste of time and I cancelled. The manager rang in annoyance and suggested I pull apart the storage unit. This was a possibility but on a busy moving day there is enough to do without spending 2 hours re-assembling furniture and there was still the problem of being left with half the furniture at the house or doing numerous trips. Fortunately I very quickly found an experienced and professional moving company to step in within an hour with their own decent sized trucks. They had no questions over where to park their truck - they figured out if they parked it under the balcony they could slide everything over and save time and energy. Had I gone ahead with this MLT lot I would have paid triple the price as these young lads would have needed a couple of trips, which would have been very tiring for them and they already were quite slow and had no idea what to do.
No Showed Our Job With No Communication – When MLB Removals didn't arrive at our job on time, WE called THEM to find out one of their staff had called in sick and they couldn't do the move that day. meanwhile, we had our entire apartment in the car park ready to go and had to find another company last minute to do the job, absolutely HORRIBLE communication from this company.
They Cancelled with Less than 24 hours notice – I booked these guys a month in advanced and they cancelled the booking with less than 24 hours to go leaving us up ****creek without a paddle. Way to go!
AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!! – I booked a 1 bedroom move 2 weeks in advance for early morning Friday, they rescheduled on the day to 1pm and then canceled on me at 2pm. Then rescheduled for Monday afternoon which they also canceled at the time they were meant to arrive - they did not call to tell me they couldn't make it, I had to call them to see where they were. phones, like another reviewer said once they put their number on private someone answered straight away. Terrible company.
Cost $59 per half hour plus $59 fuel fee. I moved 2 bedroom apartment Preston to Preston.
Don't base your decision on google reviews. Movers are paid a bonus if their names get a mention with a 5 star review as I was told. I have no issue with the movers themselves, lovely subcontractors in fact for all the hard labor they do they deserve to be better paid. Given that they do a good job you want them to get their bonus despite the company being terrible only wanting your money. The communication from the company is terrible and sales team are useless at giving accurate information. Save yourself the stress look elsewhere.
The whole experience was distressing! – I booked 2 men and a 4.5 tonne truck to move a 1 bedroom apartment with MLB or Big Blue Truck Removals, at the start of February. The initial consultation was really positive. I was feeling really nervous as I have never used a moving company before and I am a woman on my own with a bad back who needed the assistance of some trustworthy blokes to… Read more
move. After a detailed conversation with Customer Service they had really gained my trust. They assured me that the movers are very experienced and efficient. They quoted 3 to 4 hours and we booked for 12 pm, with a booking window between 10 am to 1 pm.
The movers arrived after 2 pm in a hired Thrifty truck, after several texts saying that they were on their way. Apparently they had to go to another job between texts. This meant that they had to use the elevator at peak time, which made the job take much longer than anticipated.
The lead mover was extremely condescending, passive-aggressive and even creepy at times. He bumped up the price to 6 to 7 hours and told me that the people in head office had no idea what they were doing. I questioned the quote because I had a tight budget and tried to organise payment with head office which was resolved with a $80 discount off the final bill because of the lateness and the issues that it cause. This made the head mover hostile and he alluded to not completing the job several times. Meanwhile the other mover was doing all the work on his own.
After several hours the head mover called me to say that the elevator had broken down and some of my belongings were trapped inside. I asked if they could pack the truck with the rest of the items that they could access, which they agreed to. As shown on CCTV, it turns out the movers left several of my belongings behind in the foyer of the building, which were stolen over night, as well as in the apartment. The movers lied about what was trapped in the elevator, which made it hard to recover many of my belongings and it resulted in a Police Report of the missing items.
It was getting later, so I tried to compromise with the head mover by calling some friends to help us move the stuff into the new property, as he was complaining that he doesn’t get paid after 7 pm. When they finally arrived at my new place, they demanded that I pay immediately before they opened up the truck, which I promptly did.
They then dumped my property in the carpark and declined to move it up the stairs. Many of my items were missing and none of it was wrapped or covered even though I had paid the fee for Premium Protection. Many of my items were marked, damaged and broken.
I eventually compromised with the movers and was able to get them to move the big items into the building and the rest was moved by my friends. As one of the girls was carrying boxes, the head mover took photos of her which made us feel really uncomfortable.
I have made a detailed complaint with MLB which they said they would thoroughly investigate. After “careful consideration” they offered me $100 as a “good will gesture” and a $50 voucher for my next move, which I will honestly never use. It appears that they have not done a thorough investigation of the matter, or address any of the issues I have raised. They didn’t even call the Property Manager who had viewed the whole job on CCTV. I have had to make a complaint to Consumer Affairs and they are recommending taking it further to VCAT.
Overall, the whole thing was a disaster. Everything stated on their website is false and misleading, and I did not receive the service that I had originally requested and booked. I had to take time off work to recover my missing belongings; make a Police Report, as well as restore my mental health because the experience left me feeling violated and distressed.
WORST COMPANY AROUND!! – These guys running this Circus should have shut down the moment they started!!! BEWARE, NEVER USE They arrived 4 hours late with no Communication. with the truck and hopefully they would make it. The two guys [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] who eventually turned up were amazing. My heart went out to these two as they had 45 minutes to unload the truck and they worked hard!! To the owner of this company... you should be ashamed and embarrassed at the way you operate this Dreadful Business ripping people off. You don’t even have proper trucks!! I’m sure this so called Business is operating out of someone’s garage!!!

Not good at all – Don’t believe the spin of there sales team. We used MLB to move our furniture 4 minutes down the road. After describing the amount we had to move it was estimated at 4-5 hour job. On there website they state brand new trucks and premium moving equipment. When they arrived over an hour late they had a rented thrifty van with no hydraulic lift on… Read more
the rear and no sack truck was used to carry boxes. They carried one box at a time in there hands and had to climb up onto the truck to place the item inside. One of the two gents looked as though it was his first day and had no idea what he was doing. What was supposed to be 4-5 hours took 9 hours. I have contacted the company for an explanation and have heard nothing. I see that many others have had a similar experience In summary this company sells itself on the phone and website to make it sound like they know a bit about moving things... in reality they have absolutely no idea what they are doing. It was just pure luck they didn’t damage anything. Just a terrible company.
Do not use – Seriously think hard before using these people. They were 2 hours late arriving at my pick up address, left some of my contents at my old address and when I showed them the proof of this, they said they would go and pick it up and 7 weeks later nothing has happened. Also some minor damage to some of my furniture and they overcharaged me. The phone… Read more
number is only a mobile, big tip there and they don’t seem to have anybody working in their support area. They cant be contacted except for email and they never respond. Interesting that every staff member I have spoken to is Britiish, no Australians at all. BE VERY WARY. Zero stars
Do not use this company, they cancelled with less than 2 days notice! – Beware, do not use this company!! On 7/12, I rang to book them for 18/12 which was the day I had to be out of my apartment and move into my house. They said they were available and booked me in for 0900. booking) they rang and cancelled by booking, stating, ‘some of our trucks are damaged and we thought we had more trucks.’ This was a major inconvenience, we were unable to get movers elsewhere with less than 2 days’ notice and they could not have cared less. Very unreliable, incompetent business do not use this company!
Avoid avoid avoid – Booked the move 7 days prior, which they confirmed. Then 3 hours before the move was supposed to occur they sent a text message cancelling the move due to "out of control operational issues". When I tried ringing they would not answer the phone. Absolutely disgraceful that they treat customers like this.
Avoid at all costs. Do not add more stress to moving by booking this place – The day of my move, they called last minute to cancel. The rescheduled date of my move, they didn’t turn up and sent a text to cancel after my several calls asking where they were. An entire weekend was lost because of the appalling way they choose to operate. Clearly reading by the latest one star reviews, this is happening often. The most unprofessional business I have ever come across.
AVOID! – I booked them in, and they never showed up! Am getting kicked out of my apartment so am stranded. The sales team ropes you in, and gives you a good deal, and then you will never speak to them again. Could not contact them at all. 0 customer service. Really annoyed as they screwed me over
Think twice - You get quoted 1 price on the day you pay double – From the very first point of contact, the salesperson will say all the right things and will quote you a fair price. You are made to feel assured during such a stressful period. Once your booking is locked in - say goodbye to any after-service. 1. You mobile gets recorded in their system - so when you try and call to make changes or ask a… Read more
question they will NEVER answer the phone. You will need to hide your number ID to get through. 2. Read the fine print before booking - for example, a double fridge will cost you an extra $100 as it's deemed a heavy item. So any item the removalist deemed to be Heavy - you will get slugged with a $100 charge. 3. They only have 4.5 Tonne trucks so they will need to do multiple trips. As you can imagine this will only add to the job time. 4. We booked 4 men and two trucks - the afternoon before our move I get a call stating that due to a truck issue they can only send 1 truck and two men. The operator was very defensive and dismissive.
In summary, once you lock in a booking you become another transaction. They have poor customer service and sneaky costing fees. I suggest you read the fine print very carefully and where possible get things in writing as you will never speak to the original sales agent again. My quote was $625 - ended up paying $1100 on the day. I hope you all have better luck.
Not Reliable !! – If your looking to move within a time frame do not book this company ! In the end had to move myself waiting the whole day for a truck that never came ! Complete waste of my time I would not recommend even booking with them ever!
NOT RECOMMENDED – Only moving 1km from 2 bedroom unit with no garage. I'd spent a couple of days moving 22 drawers, plus loads of other stuff. I was quoted $650 & it ended up costing me $1,057!!! because these things happen, and was told I would be the very first job as soon as someone was finished in the morning. Which was great, so I planned for 10am.
10:45 came around I called to ask how they were going, they said not finished yet, the driver will call when hes finished, (again) I am the very first job as soon as someone is finished, which I thought was fine again.
1130am came around and still hadn't been given an update so I called again, they said they will ring and check with the driver. Called back within 10 mins to say they are 45mins away, which I thought sweet. 1.5 hours later I called again to ask if they were far away because it was way past the 45mins I was told. They said they will have the driver ring me. 15mins later the driver rang to say he is 38 mins away. 1 hour and 5 mins later they finally arrived (2:15pm). Slightly annoyed because we had switched the fridge off and had it unpacked since 9:45am. I would have re- packed and switched it back on but continually got told or assumed they weren't far so didn't worry. Had to bin all the fridge items we had because they had gone hot in the esky. Began loading the truck, 3 hours to load was quoted 1.5 hours, and that is me doing countless loads (running) and putting them near the truck. After all that time of loading it wasn't until the last few items, that they mentioned they have a weight limit of 100kgs and wont be able to take my fridge unless I'm charged an hour labour to do it. If it was mentioned to me during the quoting process or even when they arrived I could have organised someone else to help me move it, but because they knew I had no other options I had to pay it.
From a $530 quote to $825 PLUS a whole day and fridge full of food wasted, I won't be using them again. I seriously never complain as I work in retail and know how annoy it can be, but this had to be shared. I would write an email to the manager and ask for some sort of compensation but based off some of the other complaints on here, I don't like my luck.
They changed it he pickup time on me 5 min after they were supposed to arrive so I had to move myself – I had booked to move from my city apartment to a depot for interstate collection. I had confirmed multiple times as there was a specific lift time slot for pickup and the depot shut by 3pm. They had confirmed this was all fine but on the day they hadn’t arrived by 9am and then texted to say they might be up to 1.5 hours late. When I called to say… Read more
this wouldn’t work they tried to ring around for other options but there was noone available until 12 (so 3 hours late!).
I ended up booking a self-drive truck and having a very stressful day loading 20m3 with my boyfriend into the truck, leaving it overnight in the truck and delivering it the next day.
If you have specific time requirements for your move I wouldn’t risk using this company - they are great on the phone at booking but that was the only good part.
Worst service ever and false and misleading advertising – False & Misleading Advertising. Website makes 2 very bold claims being: 1. all about the experience. All our staff are hand picked and highly trained in-house by us. So no need to worry about sub contractors - the 2 guys that did my move were the most inexperienced removalists I have ever had.
Having read rave reviews about this company I booked for a short move down the road. The booking experience was great and this is all that was great. The move was booked for 7.30am, they arrived over 3 hours late in a rented Thrifty Truck that wasn't big enough for the move. It was lucky that I had already moved the boxes myself as they only just fit in my furniture. The removalists were friendly but very inexperienced and also extremely slow which is frustrating when paying an hourly rate. I had a lift booked for 9am-12pm at the new location and due to the truck being significantly late we missed this lift slot and lost more time as someone else had the lift booked in the afternoon. They left items at my previous address, including 2 boxes on my front porch with the gate left wide open. When trying to contact to make a complaint get no response at all.
The Worst Movers And Service Ever Received – Cancelled my booking, arrived four hours later and blocked my calls to enquire about the service. Was quoted on the phone and the price tripled. They advised everything was “in house” yet failed to mention that they hire subcontractors who were young and inexperienced and slow. They took 4 hours to complete a one bedroom move.
