Modern Group NSW, Sydney Garage Doors

Didn't have a clue – installation price for 2 auto doors was ok. BUT one door hasn't worked for ages. after they collect the dough, Modern don't give a care about customers. Classic story of take the money and run.

Guess What? – You will have exactly the same complaints here as you will with Centurion because Modern part owns Centurion. Same door at an inflated price. This is the way modern do business, door to door sales at an inflated price....their sales people start the bidding at about 3 times retail price and discount until you buy....hopefully at about twice… Read more

retail price. The lesson is, don't be sold anything your not already shopping for. Get your market prices worked out before you have anyone over to measure and quote.

Shocking! – I cannot believe we still get door knockers and sales calls from this 'Modern Group' when clearly we are dissatisfied with their product and aftercare service. as a display home. I said 'sure, but have you seen our garage door?, that was installed by Modern, look at the 'great' paint job!'

Our garage doors look like they've been graffitied due to the dodgy touch up paint jobs they have done.

We have brought this matter to the Modern Group's attention several times, and they will take no responsibility. So now, unfortunately, we are left to talk ill of them. I plan to take photos plant them all over social media.

Modern Roller Doors – I got ripped off by Moderns as well. Got a good door but made and fitted by Centurion. Modern charged 200% on what the door would have cost me had I gone through Centurions. I had bought roller shutters through moderns before and thought they would have done the right thing but no, ripped me off. Good door (by Centurion) Too expensive through Modern Group (ripped off)

Modern Roller Door loss of hard erned money – I bought a new wood look door from Modern , the guys who do roller shutters , roof resteration etc. I thought the name was reputable but I was shocked when i was conned by their smooth sales people who charge me $6000 for a wood look roller door. what Centurion make the doors for Modern. They are good quality but do not throw your hard erned money to modern.

After I complained to modern they refunded me $1000 dollars admitting they legally had me as it was not door to door unsolicited sales so i had no cooling off period.

I have spoken to others who have delt with modern and have been ripped off pretty badly by sweet talking sales people.

if its Modern Home improvement do not sign anything untill you get at leats another quote! Untrustworthy group Price was 300% too high and i was done
