Awful, lots of hair loss & flat / greasy looking – I wanted to try this as an influencer recommended it on Instagram & I have to say… it’s very bad stuff :( I’ve been using it for some time and have found i constantly lose so much of my hair, it’s scary. Also after drying, it just makes my hair look full, flat and greasy. It’s so expensive aswell. I don’t know how this is allowed to be on the… Read more

market. It’s so bad. It makes all my scalp really itchy aswell :( I’ve gone back to my Aussie shampoo and conditioner and my hair is so much better now.

Worst shampoo ever! – I've been using the shampoos and conditioners from Moroccan oil for several months. I thought at first it was the chemo meds I get every 6 months that was making my hair fall out so bad. Then I got to thinking what if it's the shampoo I'm using? So I went out and did a product review search and guess what I found? Just about every review said that… Read more

their hair fell out right after using this product! I used to have beautiful thick curly hair now it is thin and broken and I am devastated!! I am surprised there is not a lawsuit against this company! I would never recommend this product to anyone.

THE BEST!!! Will use it forever – I had bought my Cloud 9 straightener from Hairhouse and they had gifted me a sample of the Moroccon Oil Treatment. Well let me tell you, never has my hair been so sleek, shiny and healthy in over 25 years I've been straightening it. How I use the treatment is after I've towel dried my hair (no blow dry) I put a small amount of the oil in the palm… Read more

of my hands and rub together for about 10 seconds to warm it up then evenly spread from the roots to tip. To make sure I get it all over, I use a very wide toothed comb and then leave it dry naturally overnight. In the morning if it is still a little wet, I give it a quick blow dry and then begin straightening my hair with the Cloud 9 (wide) and that's it. Many friends and relatives have commented and think that I go to the salon to get my hair done. I highly recommend anyone struggling with frizzy hair to purchase this product in combination with the tool I use and you will never look back. It's worth every penny!!!

Amazing product!! – I have had my hair bleached for 4 years and it is starting to catch up with me, my hair has been snapping off and frazzling on the ends, the condition was terrible. I recently stopped using hair straighteners all together and began having blow drys instead, i also have regular treatments at the hairdressers such as hot oil and coconut oil. These… Read more

treatments were very short term and within the next two washes my hair would be back to being dry and hard to style. I bought the Moroccan Oil for light and fine hair, after the first use i noticed a significant difference, after a quick blast of the hairdryer (no blow dry or straighteners) my hair was smooth, straight and shiny. Moroccan oil has given me a long term benefit im now using less heat on my hair which is also restoring condition. Although the bottle is expensive you do only need to use very little so it last for a very long time. The only problem i found was judging how much/little to use, after a few uses i now use two small amounts around the size of a 5p, this is because i do have really long hair so you will just have to judge the amount you use depending on your hair length. Ignore the bad reviews, some people expect miracles, you have to work with the oil and cut down using heat which is a main factor for poor condition to hair and this oil allows you to do that. small amount goes along way, smell great extra bonus leaves hand soft after use! expensive, judging how much to use!

Great For Dehydrated Curly Hair – As a hairdresser, I have always used Morrocanoil Treatmentr because I know I get the best results when blowdrying and even on my own hair (I have curly hair). The best results for this product is to use it after towel drying your hair after a shower. Just one pump is enough, unless your hair is very long. It controls frizziness and helps keep… Read more

People who given the product one star reviews for dryness either have very damaged hair from other products or factors outside of the product or are not using the product correctly.

Great hair oil - but blondes beware – I love the Moroccan oil however I have had to stop using it as a result of my hair changing from a clean creamy blonde colour out of the salon to a deep brassy colour. It took a while to realise that the oil could impact my hair in this way. I have had to find a clear coloured oil as a replacement and my colour has been fine since. FYI the… Read more

colour was unable to be fixed by the usual blue shampoo routine and would only return with a good toner at the hairdressers.

I miss the Moroccan oil and hope they consider a clear option in the future.

The best treatment oil I have ever used. Love it!! – I have naturally wavy/curly fizzy hair and this is the best oil I have ever used. It gets rid of any fizz in my hair and makes it so soft and holds my curls without leaving it oily or looking oily I find it works best in my hair when applying when wet hair. I highly recommend.  Show details

This product made my hair fall out every shower – I started using this product and gradually over the month I noticed every shower I would have more and more of my hair falling out. My hair is really thin on top now and I’m really concerned it won’t grow back. The clumps of hair in the shower stopped immediately after switching to a different shampoo and conditioner. I don’t know how this stuff is still on the market Show details

Only Moroccan Oil to use – This is the best Moroccan Oil I have used. After trying many that were full of silicone, fillers & made my hair dull, knotty & feel awful. You get what you pay for this is expensive but worth every bit. It lasts a long time as a little goes a fair way. I have very long hair it leaves it super shiny & smelling amazing. Show details

Nice but too expensive – I’m always trying new haircare products, but nothing seems to work. They either make my hair fall out or are too heavy or too drying. I found this product to work well but it's too expensive! Show details

Won’t use again – Although this products makes the hair appear softer it is just a silicone shield. This product built up terribly on my hair and caused an itchy scalp even though I only used it on the ends of my hair. Won’t be buying again is not worth the money.

Not worth the money – I've tried this product to understand why it's so famous and if it would really make my hair less frizzy (I've got thick, dark hair). It smells really good, exotic and delightful. Left my hair soft but the frizz was still there. I had to style them wit a straightener as usual. I don't mind using products that have cyclopentasiloxane (basically… Read more

Made my scalp itchy – On the first wash this made my scalp itch, i had previously used KMS and professional products, and as sold this RUBBISH at a hairdresser I don't normally go to for the ridiculous price of 60 dollars. Waste of money!

Do not use! 100% fake – I'm sorry but you are all stupid! Moroccan oil is purely cosmetic and builds up on the hair. All it is doing in the end is drying out your hair and causing breakage and damage. It feels nice at first due to the silicon, but after a while it will begin to break. Also if you have moroccan oil in when you bleach your hair, it will cause the bleach to… Read more

Amazing! – Been using moroccanoil for around a year now and its amazing! I tried all other frizz control products and nothing gave me the same effect! I have thick frizzy hair and I just put it on after washing it when my hairs wet and wether I blowdry it in or just leave to dry naturally it always leaves me with no frizz and such a nice shine too! LOVE IT!!!

Don't waste your money – Ok so I bought this product thinking it would help my hair but only after a few days I realised it was doing quite the opposite ! It feels nice and as if it's helping your hair get healthier but the product isn't actually going into your hair and rather coating it and drying it also! Such a waste of money can't believe I just spent 50 buks on this!

Overrated – I was really disappointed with this hyped up product. It did nothing to improve the condition of my hair, all it did was leave a greasy film. It smelt nice, but that was the only benefit. I have fine, limp, and very dry hair so maybe it's better for a different hair type.

Didn't suit my hair at all – I have really thick curly hair, I can say I've tried so many different types of hair oil all in the hope it would give my hair some shine...sadly this oil was no different. I tried it on dry hair and on wet & it still left my hair quite dry and brittle with not even the 'illusion' of looking moisturised. It's a shame because the oil is light and… Read more

I have very dry hair, so maybe it would work better on fine hair? Smells lovely, nice texture Just didn't give my hair any shine at all. Still frizzy.

Pretty good – I personally recommend to only use two pumps on the ends of damp/wet hair, I don't like putting it on dry hair. It has improved my hair personally especially, I am using a cheaper shampoo and conditioner so I'd like to know what the combination of a good shampoo/conditioner does with this product. Expensive hair product (for me as I don't splurge on beauty too much).

Not a fan – When I first started using Moroccan oil it was wonderful. I had a hair cut the day before and they had used Moroccan oil as my treatment, so I went and bought some. I used to straighten my hair a lot before I cut it short and started growing it long again. Now I just put my hair in a pony tail almost every day and only straighten my fringe. I… Read more

would have thought with less straightening, only washing my hair every 2-3 days and using the shampoo, conditioner and oil in my hair that it would have made my hair stronger. Instead it is dry, brittle, breaking and constantly falling out.

Highly Recommended – I purchased this bottle about a month ago . and i can honestly say that i love it . I have very curly hair , i had not straightened my hair in over 3 years due to the fact that it would look dry and it would take too long to straight(1+hour) . and on top of that it would only be straight for maybe 3 hours then it would curl or frizz. Love love! – Over the past few years I have realized that I need to use some type of hair serum to moisturize, protect, and add shine to my hair. It instantly feels silkier and smells absolutely wonderful! Results, smell, feeling of my hair Tad expensive

This ruined my hair! Not for blondes – To begin with my hair was on the verge of snapping, blonde being very high maintenance, I decided to purchase a bottle of moroccan oil as I had heard how good it was. Not a fan at all. It healed my dermatitis Expensive and now I have to have short hair :(

Divine stuff – I found this product years ago & although I use it daily, I am only on my second bottle. A little really does go a long way. It smells divine & I have found it not only useful in taming flyaways & frizzy hair, but after using dry shampoo which tends to make my hair brittle. This tames it right down! smells awesome, only need to use a tiny bit, really does make your hair smoother and shinier quite expensive
