Awful Experience - Unhelpful and arrogant staff
It’s like dealing with a machine. They do not wish to hear concerns or others viewpoint.
They are very high on technical Jargon but I personally found them impractical. They will sell themselves aggressively however the service is barely average.
Again this has been my experience. Could be different for others.
I would personally like to thank Ero and her team at Morton's for the outstanding service in assisting with the property management of my apartment at Wentworth Point over many years. Her professional approach in taking care of my property made it a worry free experience. Any problems were sorted out always in a timely fashion. Keep up the good work Ero and Team.
After numerous conversations with you, you failed to tell me and also falsely advertised 1309 as a 1 bedroom definitely is not a 1 bedroom. Waste of my time please alter your advert and inspect the property prior so you are aware
I was impressed with restrictions in place due to Covid. I found Amanda friendly & informative. Answering my questions with ease. Even the cleaners were friendly & helpful. Great unit, well presented
Poor after-lease care
My property manager took weeks to reply my emails and calls regarding direct debit issues and fixing general things around the unit such as garage access door and mailbox. I've even given up to a week in between correspondence for a response thinking she might be busy, but I feel 1 week of no reply is totally unacceptable. I've called and sent texts, but still no return calls, even the day after.
Though a bit late for the inspection on account of my dysfunctional direction abilities, Ayush followed up and we were able to proceed with the inspection. He clearly explained everything I needed to know, including what to do after the inspection. Overall, it was a professional encounter with Ayush. Many thanks!
My first ever property has been completely trashed under Morton’s management. Obviously no inspections took place during the time in which they “managed” my property (as agreed/contracted) as dog pee covered the carpets & blinds, dog scratches damaged doors & walls, doors were broken off hinges & children’s scribble covered the walls (as well as crude attempts to cover in unauthorised paint & plaster). To make matters worse, an agreement made by George (business dev. Manager) to arrange landlord insurance & pay with the rent (along with rates & strata) was not upheld & the current out of pocket loss stands at $17,600 (not inclusive of permanent damage). On top of all, they then sold the books to another agent. Devastated to say the least.

No follow up skills, a complete lack of service, does not respond to emails unless it suits them and does not call back when they say they will call back same day

I have Morton to help to manage my investment property for past few years. Now as the tenants moved out, I had terrible experience with the property manger with final handover. Firstly, the place wasn't cleaned properly and some areas were full of dust, but the property manager didn't see any of those and told me the place was fine. Secondly, there are some damages to the property, for example, the control panel cover was falling off, one of the bathroom's tiles was cracked, so many chips on the wall. Thirdly, the rental place has a storage, t...he property manager said she won't check the storage as part of her final inspection just because she couldn't find the garage! Fourthly, the property manager told me that the tenant lost 1 set of key, therefore, i ordered another remote & fob copy from the strata and paid for the fees. But a few days later, the strata manager told me the tenant actually returned 2 sets of keys! Additionally, the property manager wanted to return the bond to me and asked me to deal with the tenants after. I've never knew that I, as a owner, still need to deal with the tenants with the bond even I paid a property manager! In conclusion, i don't think the property manager is doing her job properly. i feel she is not even doing the job. I tried to arrange a meeting face to face with her on a weekend, like a Saturday, to go through all the issues. But she responded that they don't work over the weekend, so I spent so much time sending emails back and forth with very little progression. I am so disappointed and so frustrated. i've never seen any property manager irresponsible like this before.

My experience inspecting a Morton property this morning was great. After I registered to inspect, I was sent several confirmation and reminder texts. Upon arrival I was shown the facilities and the apartment. All my questions were answered and I am ready to apply for the property I viewed this morning. Nicole Beckett was the agent showing the listing. She was great.

Well, I am a landlord. If you are a landlord and considering let morton to manage your lovely property, please read my experience with morton below.
At morton, your property manager will never do the property routine inspection, it's done by other people, so how can your PM known your property well..
If tenants have a repair issue, your PM will only tell you that they have 4000 properties to manage, no time to check, what they can do is send service man there which will cost you...$200.Rather than talk a lot nonsense PM wont go there have a check, even there is only 5 mins walk. My tenants report AC is not cooling down and make weird sound and smell, I don't expect PM like service man to fix it but you should go there check it at least. Finally I send there a handyman to check, the reason for the issue is because tenants set temp to highest but cold mode, by doing this, AC unit will easily broken and landlord have to pay at the end of day, luckily the AC works by set to correct temp. As this is tenant's operation mistake, so they have to pay a callout fee. And AC filter was very dirty, never been cleaned, but my PM [Name Removed] told me tenants have cleaned AC filter and can send me photo, but actually not... Due to poor management by morton, I transferred to an another agent, and then my new agent found my levy was overdue and by looking into the levy bill I found morton has miss payment few times, and I have been charged interest and debt recovery stage1 charge. I asked my PM [Name Removed] again, she told me it's landlord 's responsibility to remind morton if i don't have levy bill, excuse me??? Levy bill is only post to your office, it's paid by morton all the time deducted from my rental fund. How do I know when is my levy due. I have other property managed by other agent, never have such issues. Morton's service was very unprofessional.
The advertised photos should really reflect the current state of the property. Or at least make mention of the construction work/scaffolding surrounding the apartment in the description as it looked like a different place to the one advertised.
Almost 3 years with Morton and not one bad thing to say. everything was always taken care of quickly and to the best outcome. Great real estate company and Ero is amazing.
