not arrive until near 2pm. This caused a variety of issues with my planned move, in particular the cleaning and turning off of water and gas, which was arranged according to the originally confirmed start time. The movers themselves were very polite and efficient, and did an excellent job. I would only recommend utilising this company if you are extremely flexible in your moving times and plans.

Completed a move for me on same day notice in the middle of Covvid , very thank full for this! Will use again – Moved my unit with no issues. Finished on time and safely . Good communication from the drivers , very happy they were available on late notice This made a stressful move easier during Covvid. Took the job after being messed around by another company

Efficient, organised and polite – The young men that moved my furniture on 19th March 2020 from house to storage shed, were polite, listened to what was said, very well organised, took great care, and were efficient.

Great service – Did everything as quick as they can do. I asked if they could drop off a washing machine to a buyer on the way and they did it easily and conveniently. They were polite and kind in there service. Hassle-free. Highly recommended. My move was over very short distance and not many items. Including the drop off on the way, it took just under an hour.

Very poor communication – Very disappointing experience. Late notice given that preferred booking time would not be honored; no communication on the day of the move; late request to reschedule move on the day of move; and am still waiting on promised deposit refund given services were not provided.

DO NOT HIRE. BEWARE – Dodgy company. Answered all their questions as to what needed to be moved. When they arrived, was told they would need to do multiple trips instead of just the one as the truck they brought was too small for the 2 bed apartment move. needed to be moved. Seems to me they quote a lower hourly rate and try to do multiple trips to make the job last longer. Movers spoke next to no English and were impossible to understand. Company declined to refund my deposit even though it was all their fault.

Ended up hiring another company who completed my move in one trip, WITH THE SAME 6T TRUCK MOVING MATES HAD.

movers seemed to be doing the go slow - I even intervened throughout the day and started carrying boxes and furniture myself to speed things along!! After a very long and frustrating day, topped off by a bill well over what I'd budgeted, I found that I had belongings missing. The follow up was less than satisfactory, felt like there was no genuine concern for the loss of my belongings. Bottom line - Moving Mates don't care about their customers once they've got your money. Don't use them!! Sure, they offer a low rate of $150 per hour, but guarantee you are better off with a more reputable, slightly more expensive company. I repeat - don't use them!!

Poor service and took hours too long to complete – We both from a one bedroom apartment in our new house with no new added furniture but the move took 7 hours to be completed. day. Also we were asked to make payment but no invoice was offered by the removalist who demanded we pay, even after we asked for one. He had no response until I said I will call and make sure we obtain one. We were dissatisfied with the move and spoke with the owner Joao but he was very unhelpful and only came up with excuses of why the excessive time was acceptable. Will not use this removalist company again and advise others to not use them, as we feel ripped off and the owner takes no responsibility for his employees and there horrible service.

Made a stressful day even more stressful – Kept changing times several times which made it harder for us to arrange our time. Sent a truck too small for our needs and needed to send another one which nearly doubled the price. Also lots of items were left damaged and left behind. Was told they would make things right but never heard from them again. No explanation where my missing items are, no re embursement for damaged items. Go with them If you DO NOT care about your belongings – They changed arrival time on multiple occasions. Finally they showed up really late in the evening. They ended up damaging my new furnitures and washing machine. I was told that things will be moved safely, they just carried my furniture and did not even bother to at least shrink wrap them. My furnitures have scratches all over the surface now, they cracked my washing machine door. They DO NOT care about your stuff.

Damaged belongings – The two guys who moved me spoke in their own language most of the time and complained about the furniture they had to move. One of them asked to give my address to his friend so his friend could come across and pick something up. was. My bed was unable to be used as it was wet right through, blankets and boxes soaked. It took me a week to wash everything and I’m still replacing broken items. The final straw was when I questioned the price at the end, the guy raised his voice at me and charged me an extra hour.

The only positive about the experience was the lady I dealt with organising the move was friendly.

Broke a window. Refuse to own up. Stay away – Were 20 minutes late to the move start time. Broke a window at the new premises and refuse to acknowledge / or pay. Don’t believe they actually have insurance. Beware. Steer clear.

Super fast and friendly – I moved from a 2 storey 3 bedroom townhouse into a 3 bedroom house. The guys who completed the move were friendly, really efficient and everything was moved without damage. Best removalists I have ever had, and would highly recommend.

Amazing! – They were quick, on time and moved everything with care. It was a hot day and we had to walk up and down a lot of stairs but they never complained and were helpful the entire time.

Dangerous acts by the Removalists – The movers left the front door to my apartment and apartment complex wide open when the left after removing my belongings! I’m lucky myself or someone in my building wasn’t robbed or assaulted due to this easy access left by the removalist’s. What’s worse is that the owner of the company seemed to not care at all! Absolutely disgusted by their actions but more by the owner’s blatant disregard and dismissal of how dangerous and serious this is!

Good friendly service – Moved a small amount of furniture a couple of kilometers away. The boys arrived on time with a small truck and were quite friendly and enthusiastic. All up the job was done in an hour and a half. No piece of furniture was damaged. Would use again for small jobs.

The worst moving experience I've ever had – I moved from a 4 bedroom house to a 3 bedroom townhouse. From destination to destination it would have been around 1klm or so. specifically asked if they could take the beds apart and then put them back together at the new premises, as I am a single mother and I was assured this was fine. The two men that arrived didn't want to take the beds apart or put them back together (one asked why couldn't my partner do it) and basically complained about anything and everything. They broke a cupboard and left it smashed in the middle of my garage and didn't even tell me ( I wasn't too concerned about the cupboard as it was old, but the fact they didn't tell me was what was annoying, and they just left it there). They didn't take all of my stuff and in the end I didn't want to say anything as by this stage they had me in tears. I contacted the company via email and they organised for someone else to pick up the rest of my things and I was assured that the Manager or General Manager would get back in touch with me, but it's now been one month since I've moved and I've herd from no one!!! I paid VERY good money for the worst service I've ever had. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere, I wish I had of read some reviews prior to booking with Moving Mates, it would have saved me a lot of heart ache!!

Great guys, hard-working and friendly – We relocated our three bed house to a new local place, so not a long distance. The guys arrived right on time, and worked hard all day only stopping for a brief break. This is our second move with Moving Mates, based on a positive previous experience and they lived up to expectations this time around. Would use them again if ever needed.

Inexperienced and took too long. Moving staff and supervisor lied and unhelpful – 2 bed apartment plus storage unit. 3km in distance. Moved started on time but took ages - 9 hrs - we moved exactly same stuff previously in 4 hours.

Never use this moving company – I recently moved a short distance in Melbourne and had a terrible experience with this company. After dismantling my dining table, the removalist lost the bolts for reassemble. A floor lamp also disappeared in the move. company responded with "what do you want me to do about it". The driver likewise accepted no responsibility for the lost items but instead blamed my daughter. I would not recommend using them.

An amazing easy move! – We moved from a very large 3 bedroom unit on the first floor to a town house with stairs just 5 minutes away. Great service – I recently required a removal service from Moving Mates, items moved from a top floor to a house . It was a small job. I got a prompt response .The staffs were very professional and polite. The time required and cost were exactly quoted. I will definitely use them in the next move and recommend their service.

Painless. Every thing happened without a hitch – My move was a relocation of a dismantled 6m x 6m storage shed. The shed was relocated from one rural area to another. Everything happened on time and without any issues.

Family house moved with ease! – Ours was a three bed, two living room plus study. The movers arrived exactly on time and made sure we had a smooth move to our new home. Awesome service! Highly recommended!! – Moving Mates did my interstate move from Sydney to Brisbane. It all went fine and we did not have any issues. All went as planned and John even sent me a bigger truck to make sure it would fit all my stuff. It was a 3 bedroom + storage apartment, so there were A LOT of boxes. They sent 3 guys on the pick up and 4 guys on the drop off. I highly recommend Moving Mates!
