Wish I seen this page before I booked with these guys – Okay, so My experience with these guys wasn't that bad. I found the delivery guys did a good job. The office staff were helpful. However, I am still missing all my family portraits & My husband's sub amp. He wasn't very happy about this. The portraits are worth about $1,600. I am completely devastated. Its been 3 months since the delivery, I have… Read more
been emailing, Calling and there's still no progress. It feels like I am being avoided. I don't know what else I can do. My family protraits mean everything to me, I don't have no copies either. Who would want to keep family protraits of other people or I think they might have accidentally damaged the box and threw it out all together. I would not certainly recommend this company to anyone either. I rate 2 stars for the helpful office staff and delivery guys.
Also go by backloads and national movers and other names avoid like the plague – I rang the day before uplift. I had booked six weeks earlier when they hadn't called as planned. Super rude response about Qld time difference and they would call before close of business they didn't and when I called them on the day they said a week later at best. So now in new place with nothing spending heaps on bought meals as no fridge and no… Read more
move in sight. Refunded deposit quickly. They said a truck broken down, more like no full load so too bad for me. Awful.
We picked them by accident because they used another name – We picked them because they were using another name WeMove. Worst company we encountered. We booked through their website. Put down a deposit and then the drama started. They kept pushing out move date, then never bothered to call us again. After numerous phone calls and emails, we had to book another company last minute. They do get one star because they did refund our deposit promptly.

Not a single Problem - Fluke? – After we booked the moving professional for our move from Melbourne to Perth I came across this site and got very worried about the situation however the overall experience has been pleasant. The big problem I think everyone has with companies like this is especially for interstate they sub-contract the move at both ends if you get a bad… Read more
sub-contractor (lets be honest its not their name they are using so they don't care as much) its going to make the whole process very painful.
Having some spare time we made sure everything we packed was well padded, labeled and boxed to make the load as square as possible. We broke down a lot of our furniture into a flat pack for ease of transport. The removal guys showed up on time and completed the job in approx. 4 hours. Didn't require any help from myself however one of the guys while managed to drop our chaise on himself but ended up doing more damage to himself than the chaise. They were careful with all our valuables ensuring that the tvs and computers were packed adequately.
We were quoted 10-14 working days for the load to arrive ( We were skeptical that it would be arrive in this timeframe) however we received a call on day 7 saying that our gear was in Perth and will be being dropped off the next day. Again showed up on time and unloaded the stuff without issue. However as it was going into a self storage the did charge us an extra "stacking fee" as they had to nicely restack everything into the new container (worked out to about 70 dollars an hour (took 3 hours). Everything was well packed and couldn't see any adhering damage to the boxes or flat packed goods.
Overall by the looks of the rest of the reviews it was pretty lucky to get 2 half decent sub contractors on both ends and a short transfer time in the middle. I would definitely continue to use them until I hit an issue. There quote was approx. 30 % cheaper than the big removal companies.
You get what you pay for – Despite my doubts about this coming after reading everyones review, I still continued with the removal of my cars. Luckily I had organisd my furniture removals otherways, because unfortunately my cars were not picked up on the day it was supposed to be! However stressful that was, atleast my cars made it safe and sound not a km extra on them or a… Read more

Excellent company – I was not happy when I read the reviews here. i had already paid my deposit and had no choice in proceeding with them. Worst company in australia - warning do not use this company ever – This is by far the worst, and most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with in Australia .............. Where do I even start about all the problems I had - Furniture was supposed to be picked up at 1pm on a Wednesday, truck didn't arrive until 6pm - They couldn't load all the furniture that night because they didn't have enough blankets to… Read more
wrap it in and had to come back the next day to pick up the remainder, knowing I was suppose to leave for Victoria from the Gold Coast that day
- Were suppose to come back first thing in the morning to get the remaining furniture, didn't turn up unitl 6pm
- Took more stuff out of the house than they were supposed to
- The driver rang me at 10.30pm on the Thursday night saying they had left the washing machine behind, this is after being there twice now
- Took them a week to pick up the washing machine and when they finally did they dirtied the floor after the house had been cleaned for my tenants to move in
- Company was not apologetic one bit
- Instead charged me for the additional items that there drivers picked up that they weren't suppose to
- Numerous phone calls later to the General Manager and Office staff, who are all that unprofessional its embarrassing, and numerous unanswered emails (they never get back to you), they still wouldn't take any responsability and wouldn't deliver my items until I paid extra for re-delivery and the additional items (that I didn't advise them to pick up)
- Items finally got delivered after I HAD to pay the extra or else they were keeping my items
- Damaged furniture everywhere ........ 2 x torn and ripped leather couches, coffee table had glass top smashed off it, washing machine all scratched and marked, 2 x picture frames smashed, dining table split and pulled apart, Outdoor setting cracked and damaged, armrests on study chair both ripped, everything covered in dirt and dust
- Won't take any responsibility for the damaged items or reimburse any amount to pay for it
- I have just lodged a claim to The Office of Trading which are only mediators and still Moving Professionals refused tom pay for any
- I am now in the process of taking them to Q-Cat
This company should be shut down and not be allowed to operate at all. I only wish I had of read all the reviews before I used them because everything I've read is true, they are a DISGRACE
Moving Professionals - Nothing Professional About them – First I would like to say the actual guys who did the heavy lifting fantastic both ends. Now lets talk about the office staff or should I even waste my time all I can say they are the most unprofessional people I have ever spoken to. I don't no how any one could actually say they work for a company like this unless you have no morals or… Read more
professional standards at all. Every person we have spoke to seems to reads from the same page and use the same lines. As everyone else has commented no return calls or emails. I set up my email to confirm emails received by server and opened by staff but it seems that they have this capability blocked so they can deny receipt of emails. Mind you they deny the emails even when they are attached to their reply email (when they do reply) asking for you to send that email again.
We have given up on the items that they couldn't get on the truck because they didn't advise the guys on the ground (So not the guys fault) No communication between the office and the staff. The guys even said that this was the norm.
We are now just chasing the damaged floor to our rental property but they are using the tactics that we will give up soon because it becomes just to hard. Which is the way they seem to work.
We also used their other named company to move our car from Cairns to Melbourne at this time we didn't know they were one in the same. It took 6 weeks to get the car from Cairns to Melbourne. And when we rang them to ask where the car was they advised they didn't no. We finally got action when we threatened them with reporting the car stolen to both the Victorian and Queensland Police. Surprise, surprise the car turned up pretty quick.
All I can say is god help anyone who uses them because.
Not good! – 3 months later and STILL missing my dining room table!!! No help with any of my broken belongings :( I've called and emailed over 15 times and no one calls me back. Terrible service!

WISH i saw this page BEFORE booking this company. WORST company ever!!! – The "Moving Professionals" (oh, the irony), has been nothing but useless in this entire process. scheduled my uplift (with no consultation with me about my needs) that it could take a week or more after uplift before I received it (umm... this kind of information would be useful AHEAD OF TIME when you have a toddler and NEED to move into your new house as you have nowhere else to go...), I've now been in my house 'making do' with a camping chair and picnic basket and STILL no word on when my belongings will arrive. The people answering the phones are RUDE and UNHELPFUL (apart from one lady who I feel for, who is absolutely lovely). Today is one week since uplift and I have not heard from these muppets once. I could almost put money on something arriving broken, damaged or not arriving at all...
Do yourself a favour and just DON'T book through the moving professionals.
WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! – This company was hired through Australia National Removals to move my furniture, and done the worst job ever. was taken. The first day of moving my furniture only 1 person came to move my stuff, when 2 people are required. My partner was sworn at by the driver of Moving Professionals, our furniture was delivered at night when we were told it would be delivered in the morning, therefore I waited all day for the company, and rung the main office on numerous occasions to follow up on what was happening. Will NEVER deal with this company again, nor will I deal with Australia National Removals who hire Moving Professionals as a third party. Both companies are very unprofessional in every way.
Don't, don't "ever" book these guys!! – Gavin Austin said some customers have "unrealistic expectations"...Gavin, those expectations are set by the company in their propaganda! mannered (including the MD when I complained) damaged my furniture through neglect and lack of professionalism, unhelpful and did not keep to the time scale "they had dictated."
Just three examples:
1. Boxes were marked by me according to the room they were to placed in, as originally promised they would do. When I asked the deliverers to do this they left them in the driveway, refusing to even take them into the house. When I said I'd been promised they would I was laughed at and told to P-off. I had to carry them indoors myself when they left.
2. My wife was literally in tears when she saw someone drag the polished top of our timber dining table across the truck floor "unwrapped." It cost $800 to repair the damage.
3. I phoned their office during deliver asking them to speak to the delivery men about their attitude and not to do more damage. In a nutshell, they refused in a manner suggesting they could not care less. I'm amazed they are still in business and should be called The Moving Un-professionals.

DO NOT book this company, absolutely disgraceful!!!! – Would never use this company again, I do not have one positive word for them! Was told for 7 days "your furniture will be delivered tomorrow" with no communication made, and my furniture arriving 7 days after the first advised delivery date... Have been promised call backs & emails, have not heard a thing from them. I know many different business owners, and I can confidently say, no proper business owner would let their business get these reviews, or even think it is ok to work like this company does.. In simple, two words.... STAY AWAY!!!!!! Like everyone else, I wish I read these reviews before paying them thousands of dollars...
Stay away from this company!!!! – We got caught out! We moved from WA to Vic and made the fatal mistake of booking these losers and that was three years ago, we received 1/4 of our stuff /9we had booked and paid for 2 shipping containers and have never received the remainder of our stuff. They are the most incompetent, dishonest, bunch of low lifes and I know that they dont care less. Dont make the same mistake as us.... :(
Disgraceful – Didn't even want to give them 1 star, appalling service and treatment of my goods as well as lost and broken property. I have never dealt with a business such as this and I am shocked they keep doing it. Wish I'd found these bad reviews before I was booked with them through another company. Save yourself the pain and the money and keep looking! lost property, broken property, poor service & communication as well as general care factor
Strongly advise you not to use this company! – We used this moving professionals/national removals what ever they are and every single item was damaged and was stored in fithy areas. 4. Finally, you must pay the removal fee BEFORE the delivery.
5. My advice is to simply FIND ANOTHER COMPANY which may quote you more but will end up costing you less money and headache. Just STAY AWAY!
If I could write a review with no stars at all, I would – Never have i come across a company so incompetent & with such dodgy business practices as the "moving professionals"! I will be doing my best to place reviews of my experience everywhere i possibly can to spare others the same fate. After 2 months, I don't have to waste my time or money anymore.
Damaged property – This company is the worst i have ever used in 10 moves. They turned up late. I took a month for it to arrive, never call back you are always chasing them. Tried to charge more after pick up. I got insurance, and after damaging several item, refused the fix or replace items.

I also find it very puzzling how all items that are well labled are packed into a container, sent up by train then end up being delivered to different locations? They have kept me hanging by asking for quotes which took forever to get promising me reimbursement when they would received.
One quote of for $4720 the other $6020, THEIR OFFER $1000. Then when I told them I was going to Fair Trading got them up to $3000 but they would only pay $1000 per month for 3 months. This has already been going on 6 months. They have insurance or do they? They are uncaring and unapproachable.
Shame on you and your company.

I followed up with several emails regarding this & no one responded until i called them also several times.
Upon arrival surprise, surprise, there were items missing! We followed up but nothing until 2 months later i get an email stating the obvious of missing items and unable to locate. I have since had a response stating that the items must never had been there in the first place. It was their guys that loaded the container and wrote down what went into it. no phone call. I then rang the depot which was a nightmare to get their number and told them they had to be there the next day. Well they did turn up with a container that already had someone's else's stuff in and I had told them that I needed a full container. So not being ably to fit everything in they had to come back the next day. So two containers going over to Melbourne I was a little worried. Anyway I arrived in Melbourne and gave them an address to deliver to with them saying that they had already unloaded my goods into their depot and that I would have to pay a redelivery fee which was in the $300. So when redelivery was scheduled they unloaded all my goods only for
Me to find that all my linen and bedding was no longer there, a rug, all our tools my sons drum kit was broken a couple of plastic containers that contained kitchen goods and the most important item that went missing was a box full of personal items like year books that I have kept for 12 years only for one stupid moving company to lose. In total all our goods that were stolen from moving professionals was a value of $2500 and we had insurance with them as well which was a hassle to claim. In the end we only ended up getting $1000 minus the $350 we paid for insurance so really not worth sending our furniture with them. I was so stressed out to the max with them and I didn't get my blankets back from them until after I had my baby. Also one big thing that was absolutely disgusting was that they tried to give us someone's else's stuff and said well did we want to keep it anyway. This was not our stuff so I made a note of this and emailed them non stop from that point. The items that they tried to give us was a red stroller and some Kane baskets. I was told delivery from Wollongong to Melbourne would take 3-5 working days (Mon-Fri), I called on the Monday 05/08 and was advised no ETA but that they would follow up the next morning then received a call on Tuesday to advise it would be there Wednesday 07/08 and I would receive a call later in the afternoon to confirm a time. The call came through at 4.30 and advised delivery would be between 9am-11am - the guys arrived at 9.45am, delivered the furniture and worked hard.
In terms of damages it was very minor and I think this has to be expected when undertaking an interstate move. I had 3 broken glasses, a scratch on my TV cabinet and a scratch on my bed head, but all in all I'm not that worried about it as they're relatively minimal. And Fragile items like my couch were delivered with no tears etc and the 55" LED TV was delivered in perfect working order.
Communication was a bit of a sore point but aside from that they delivered in an acceptable timeframe so the main point here is that it isn't always a horror story and if you've already booked it does turn out perfectly fine at least some of the time, at least that was my experience.
