Cheap hard drives and excellent warranty
On Friday afternoon I purchased a Seagate 2.5" FireCuda SSHD 1TB ST1000LX015 SATA Hybrid SSHD Hard Drive for $85 but on Monday morning they replaced it under warranty since it was faulty, which was extremely nice of them to do that for me.
Msy has some of the best prices for computer parts in Australia. I have bough multiple items and all work fine. Would buy from again
Worst service ever
Spent well over 1.5k on parts for first computer build made sure everything was compatible, got them to build it as at the time some people were uneasy with building themselves so we thought we'd give it to the "it professionals" that you can "trust".
Big, big, mistake
The computer crashed well over twenty times randomly. We had to drive back to the store and pick it up FOUR time's each time them saying it was fixed and tested. Same issue everytime. We asked for a refund and they declined saying it was steam and our software causing the iss...
Useless customer service and returns
Have purchased many things from MSY in the past. If you know exactly what you need, and make sure it's in stock, it's great + the price is normally the best. However, now that i have had to attempt contact regarding a return, I'm getting the cold shoulder and no response from them after many attempts. Reading other reviews, this sounds fairly typical. Once the return is completely I will purchase from Scorptec, CPL or Centrecom who actually honour their return policy.
Ok depends on what you expectation is
I bought my pc there 2 years ago, and it was not a happy shopping experience because the staff simply refused to answer any questions I asked. They just showed me the list and deminded me to choose one. Anyway I had very limited buget so I bought it from them. The PC worked fine from the beginning, and had a small problem about 8 month later and they fixed it for me as it was under 1 year warranty. My suggestion is if you know about computer and you are fine with bad customer services, they are not all bad, after all they are the cheapest you can get.
These guys are excellent, being buying parts for years from these guys.. Had a problem with a vid card and they fixed me up quickly and politely. The shop in Mitcham always is busy and the staff are quick, polite and knowledgeable. Just make sure when you arrive to know exactly what you want. This is not a regular pc shop and I find it just holds up the line for everybody else. But the staff are always happy to help in my observation.

Great store, with cheap prices and fast service. BUT, don't expect a great experience if you don't know what you want. They are not the most helpful or easy to understand.

Brought a gainward gtx970 on 19/11/14 at mitcham msy store. It was $449, msy had it $10 cheaper then pccg and also more closer to my house so i decided to buy it from msy.
I have had bad experience from msy previously, i once brought a corsair headphone and the box was in the worse condition possible. That maybe a small problem for most people, but for me, if the box is squashed , dented , old, it shows how bad msy handle their goods. And when the staff went to get the headphone and came back to the counter, he just slap that thing on the tab...
Zero customer service; cheap n dirty
You have to know exactly what you're getting at MSY. If you don't, they won't tell you what might be suitable, and they won't offer to look if it's at another store. You can't browse for items either, you just line up and are expected to have fully researched from their pathetic online store that doesn't tell you anything.
Customers are computers too: you're supposed to say can I have a ZXDK30402 XYZ part, not "I'm looking for a mouse for my laptop..."
Still, they are cheap, so if you know EXACTLY, down to the last number, what you are g...etting (they'll easily sell you something very similar but different and cheaper), then get it here, otherwise don't even bother. And don't expect a refund or anything, they don't think the same way as traditional Western stores do. Google MSY and ACCC and read about their known malpractice and fines. Pay the extra and get it from somewhere else.
Rude staff , they could hardly speak English.
They didnt have my parts even though they said they do on their website.
I would pay the extra $$ to get it from other places who actually have customer service.
I am surprised a business like them are operational when so many people complain about them.

I bought a desktop system from the first store MSY opened in East Malvern, Victoria. I had a problem with the system a few days later. Store owner Andrew rectified the problem same day. He was efficient and polite.
Fast forward some fifteen years from then, I purchased many products from MSY and referred many friends to the store. Most of them were happy and are now happy MSY clients. I found that for best experience it is important to do research on parts or systems I need before going to the shop. MSY has it's own market niche - clients wh...o know what they want and who are willing to invest time to google and compare products before they make up their mind. I had a few warranty issues, but those were handled well. Most of the time products were swapped on the spot. Latest warranty claim was today for an ASUS laptop purchased last week. They did not have another laptop of the same model to replace the faulty one with, so they promptly refunded the cost of the laptop and RAM upgrade module I bought at the same time. Due to my great experience with MSY technology, I will buy replacement laptop from them again, as soon as one that fits my needs is back in stock. I know individual experiences will vary, but I thank Andrew and his team at MSY technology for the good experience I've had with them. Fast service, good handling of warranty issues (in my experience), prices and overall reliability.

Love the boys there - yes u need to know what you want. Have never had an issue - only ever 1 warranty claim for something dead on arrival and was sorted same day replaced with a new product.
