Mudgee Meat

Unfortunately, the most recent order contained meat of very poor quality. I raised this with the owner; however, they were unable to identify the source from the invoice and told me to purchase from a local butcher instead. I’m disappointed, as previous orders have been much better.

Had a really good first delivery but second order arrived and meat was off even though I was home when delivered and packed away straight away. Thanks Michael & Carolyn, the FamilyFOUR was perfect for us. Although we always shop at a local butcher the Mudgee Meat pack was amazing vale with all cuts averaging $18/kg which included sirloin and t-bones. The process was simple and we have enjoyed all the cuts and expecially the sausages.

The quality of the meat is excellent, ive been dealing with these country folk for 5+ years and they only get better. Delivery was on time and we were kept informed all the way through.

Very Poor Quality – Poor Quality all round. Our order consisted of beef steaks, roast and mince. We also ordered assorted lamb and sausages. All cuts of meat were very very average and had so much fat on it. Sausages were about the only thing which was edible. I feel I have wasted my hard earned $400. I have bought healthier and tastier meats from Woolies & Coles. I really suggest buying elsewhere.

Disappointing, not what I would consider butcher quality – Ordered a pack with pork, beef and lamb and added sausages, cattlemens steak and some dog bones. did not taste like fresh lamb. Pork was definitely no better than supermarket, what was advertised as fillet was just pork loin with no bone, flavour was just not what I expect from paddock raised. Beef was budget quality, I tried cooking steaks as steaks but ended up having to stew them. Mince was pretty fatty, lucky to be 3 star. Dog bones were a good size cut perfect for the dogs. Overall it was a disappointing experience and I feel that the value was not there especially considering the amount of blood which is included in the packaging. Better off shopping around locally or even at the supermarket.

Very Bad Service – My first order delivery was really very bad. They sent me a message to say delivery is scheduled tomorrow 7:45 am tried to change delivery time becuse at that time will not be home, their answer is no, tried to cancel the order they told me I have to lose 10% of my order payment. I never got to see the meat or the quality but I guess their product will match their service! Very bad Services.

I'd give them 6 starts! – Fantastic product and service from a family run company, they kept us in the loop the whole way. Product was well packaged and delivered exactly when we were told, wish we could give them 6 stars.

Find another supplier – A terrible experience their attitude is totally unacceptable. It is unprofessional and arrogant. There are so many other professional and helpful suppliers to deal with.

Not value for Money – Purchased expensive cuts from Mudgee Meats but was shocked to see that the weight of the cut was made up of 60% inedible fat. I contacted them and they just said “That’s Great”. Just to flick a customer like that shows 0 respect and 0 accountability. Buy elsewhere as you will be disappointed.

Best lamb ever!! – Mudgee lamb is such good quality and the packaging is great. Have ordered twice now and would strongly recommend this lamb. A significant one off outlay but lasts so long.

Best ever Roast Lamb – We thought we’d try Mudgee Lamb even though our local country butchers are great but we were really impressed with the roast lamb we had last night. It was the most tender, tasty lamb we’ve ever tried. It’s not cheap, but when you get quality like this, it’s worth paying extra. Highly recommend. Looking forward to eating more lamb very shortly.

Don't bother. Shop locally – This was my first AND LAST ORDER EVER ORDER FROM MUDGEE LAMB. The pack I ordered showed lamb loin chops my husbands favourite. much. And to add insult to injury 2 of the chops were all fat and bone certainly nothing that any self respecting butcher would sell. His excuse was the wording in the order sais lamb chops not specifcally loin, but the picture shows loin and nowhere does it say they won't be so to me that screams misrepresentation. Also on orderering he said it works out to about $18 per kilo my reckoning is $28. My advice shop from your local butcher.

My dream meat – We came across your entry on Face Book last year, and became interested. We placed our first order, which arrived promptly, the service excellent and staff great. I have continued ordering as required as we are on a Pension, Definitely the best move we have made, the meat tender and delicious. Highly recommended.

Poor Quality Meat – The meat arrived on time, Steak tough as an old boot, roast beef grisly with large gristle throughout middle, lamb very badly cut and very fatty, pork sausages so spicy - inedible and gave to chooks. Will not order again

delicious meats – We made a large order from Mudgee lamb for a family and friends camping trip. We ordered Lamb sausages , bacon ,beef cheeks and a shoulder of lamb the meat was amazing so delicious and tender. We can highly recommend Carolyn, Michael and The team at Mudgee lamb.

Very poor meat and customer service – The meat it smelt soooo bad. We contacted them and Micheal was soooo rude. He suggested I should go back to our butcher!! We try to support small businesses and have tried many other better suppliers. Go elsewhere

the meat off to the wrong house, despite being told by a lady at the house it was not where we live they dumped the meat on the kitchen bench and drove off on a 40+degree day. When questioned as to why they did not ring they said that it was hard to make phone calls when there is only two people in the truck and that they were running late despite delivering to us within the time slot they gave us. The ironic part about it all is that they couldn't phone us but sent a message on Facebook to inform us that they had delivered and when questioned about professionalism they blocked us, it seems that if they get any negative comments on facebook they delete them and block the user. And to rub salt into the wounds the majority of the meat was under weight so we are not getting what we paid for. In the the end all we got was excuses and no apology, needless to say we wont be buying any more from them which is a shame as we like to support small buisnesses.

Due to spending some time in hospital our ordering has slowed down over this but I still promote the product to the staff at the hospital and others The only other thing that I can say is please you COUNTRY FARMERS keep up the great quilty of your products I cannot wait to be discharged from hospital to be home for some tasty meat dishes once again

Extremely disappointed, Pork pack – I ordered the "Full Pork" pack from Mudgee Lamb as I thought that it would be good value. diced pork and two roasts. I was assured that this would be delivered on their next run. Upon taking stock of what i received contacted Mudgee Lamb to express my disappointment. I was told that I was actually short a full box which would be delivered the following Thursday and would include both the roasts, the diced pork as well as the remaining ribs and pork belly. When the delivery arrived I received one roast rather than two and when i enquired with the driver he said he just worked for them, but having called his boss I was told that because the roast was "large" i only got one and if i wanted i could just cut it in half. I like to support producers which is why I went with Mudgee lamb, but will never again.

Best Meat Ever Eaten – We have been buying from Mudgee Lamb since they began delivering. Amazing quality and packaging. Fresh straight off the farm. Owners are ALWAYS helpful in choosing the best package for your family. We will NEVER buy anywhere else. Straight to your door delivery and ALWAYS with a smile. They deliver to your door! – These guys are the best! Have ordered many times over the last 2 years and every time they have delivered the best tasting meat in the valley! It is tender and full of flavour. I have tried the pork and beef and both exceed anything you could buy at the supermarkets. Buying in bulk saves you money and i love the home delivery of the meat. I spoke to [name removed] her response no it was all delivered my husband advised everyone that he would be late well certain cuts were fatty so had to b replaced that was it.

You can really taste the difference vs supermarket meat. Super easy to order and they even helped bring the box into our kitchen bench.
