Not SLS-free or organic – Sodium Coco Sulfate may actually contain 40 to 50% Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. It is the name that manufacturers use for a blend consisting of sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium caprylic sulfate, sulfate, sodium stearyl sulfate, sodium oleic sulfate, etc. Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS), like sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), is another synthetic detergent, a… Read more

synthetic surfactant that creates lots of foamy lather and removes oil and grease. Therefore companies using SCS should not be claiming that their product is "SLS-free."

OC Natural Colour Shield shampoo/conditioner – This product makes my hair feel so soft after washing it. Ive always used colour shampoos/conditioners but they leave my hair feeling so dry afterwards. This makes my hair feel silky smooth for days Show details

My hairdresser was amazed! – I have my hair done every 6 - 7 weeks and each time my hairdresser is amazed at the quality and colour retention I obtain from using the OC Colour Care range. The salon stocks a well-known expensive range of after care products but after each appointment, she comments that I should just keep using OC. Overall it works well and smells great, is… Read more

fantastic for the environment, both the product and packaging and reasonably well priced and readily available so why not!

It’s the little things that make a difference – I have just read these reviews and yes many products can cause irritation , however hair loss from shampoo seriously ? Hair loss I don’t think so . I’ve done my research also and I was a hairdresser for 18 yrs and suffered badly from dermatitis and expensive non plant based shampoo and conditioners etc Just because a product is low price point… Read more

does not mean it’s a non effective product. Less is more and this Australian family owned business are very much about providing quality products to the everyday consumer . I have used the colour shield for years and had no hair loss from this product . I have had hair loss over the last 10 years but not from this shampoo . Because of my age bracket , I discovered I lacked in specific vitamins and minerals and humans lose more hair in spring and summer than other seasons just like animals . Also peri menopause and menopause! I have had very sensitive inflamed skin my entire life and when I finished using the salon products it went away . Using the colour shampoo and conditioner has kept it at bay . Hormones can play a huge part in hair loss and I feel it is unfair to pin point this one product and solely blame Organic Care . I went on their website , this family are pioneers in creating what they have for the public with good ethics . I couldn’t believe it’s still a family owned Australian product made in Australia. They support so many charities and also are I believe the largest solar run company . With that being said they seem very approachable. Instead of putting them down , prehaps call them direct and ask for guidance. They make so many other products that are kind and for our planet I wasn’t aware of . I’m not down playing anyone’s story , however from my experience and being a hairdresser, hair loss comes from stress , inner health , and chemicals such as over processing colours etc . Not Shampoo . Some I see purchased more expensive brands full of chemicals and said it was better for their hair ? Is it better putting chemicals on your hair like silicone to make it smooth ? Is that better for our waterways ? Felt I just had to speak up as someone who appreciates this product and what the company stands for . Thankyou .

Not good for my itchy scalp – I love that this brand is vegan and not tested on animals. Unfortunately, it was irritating for my itchy scalp. I have used several of the Shampoos and Conditioners in the range. Lots of other shampoos irritate my scalp too. I also heard from quite a few people that the shampoo/conditioner made them loose hair. So that put me off also. I have a receding hairline but that might just be genetics or something else.

Terrible!! – Dont usually write reviews of products but dont buy this shampoo. I'm vegan and also have coloured hair, i'm really into organic products so i thought this would be perfect. After a week or so of using i noticed my hair would just fall out like crazy, like literally so much would fall out everyday... if you have a sensitive scalp and are prone to hair loss dont buy this product!

Terrible Shampoo - beware – I have been using these products for years with no problems, but got this shampoo (the green one) for a change and wow my scalp is so flakey I had to go to the chemist and get some medicated dandruff shampoo, my scalp is so itchy it is driving me crazy and I also have some sores as well. Been advised by the chemist to try this treatment for 2… Read more

weeks and if no better go to the doctor. This is bad, I trusted this product because it says it has no nasties in it but clearly it does. Should be a recall of this product. NOT HAPPY!!!!

NB I don't have proof of purchase from Coles as I didn't expect this to happen. Should be reported to the consumer watch dog.

Red, sore spots on scalp and hair loss! – To be fair I do have a sensitive scalp. That's why I bought this shampoo and conditioner. It claims not to have the harmful products that many other products have such as sulphates. Instead, it has its own concoction of harmful, skin burning chemicals. After using the products for only 3 weeks, only washing every 3 days, my scalp is sore and itchy… Read more

and my hair is falling out like crazy! It's also dry and brittle now. This stuff is cheap, for a reason. Just to clarify this shampoo and conditioner were the only products I was using so it couldn't have been anything else.

Loved it until I realised it caused contact dermatitis!! – I purchased this product during pregnancy and continued to use it thinking I was making a wise choice limiting toxins, etc. Around the same time I developed awful contact dermatitis on my hands where it would crack and bleed. I put it down to being a new mum until I discovered one of the preservatives is a known cause of contact dermatitis? I… Read more

wish I could add a photo to show you. This sadly is not an organic product and is misleading! I'm surprised nothing has been done about the false representation!!

Amazing Stuff! – I've been using this entire product line for many years and have never been happier. The fact that these products don't contain known carcinogens, parabens, pollute the environment or test on animals is enough of a reason to buy. But the shampoo and conditioner make my hair look and feel great! Do yourself a favor and buy!

I think I should stop use this – It's my 2nd day use this product, I bought because some good reviews and.. it do smell nice. But after I try.. the smell disappear in hours. It do clean my scalp and hair well. I don't think the conditioner really work. Day 1. hair wet, feel so smooth and sleek. After dry my hair and hours, it looks so frizzy. What to do.. but it's just my 1st… Read more

day use this.

Day 2. It looks better but still frizzy. But the worse... I got this inflammation on my scalp..if I touch it hurts, I think it's allergic reaction or else. I never experience this before while using other shampoo.

But I will change the way I use the shampoo and conditioner first. If it getting worse.... then.... bye bye.
